"Flexible Scheduling, Easy Small-Group Chats, and Handy Canvas"
What do you like best about Slack?

1. We can schedule the messages we send.

2. We can create a group of 3 or 4 people without needing to set up a name or channel just to chat with those individuals.

3. We can create a canvas.

4. We can view private channels in Slack and still access very old photos and conversations even after a particular user’s account is disabled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The security doesn’t feel strong enough. We sign in with our office Gmail account, and in one case a colleague left the company and IT support took over their account but forgot to deactivate it. Even though the Gmail password and credentials were changed, Slack didn’t seem to flag anything. Slack should detect when email credentials are changed and periodically require users to sign in again, both to improve security and to help prevent data theft. "Slack Keeps Teams Organized with Useful Channels and Integrations"
What do you like best about Slack?

I like Slack because it replaces scattered emails and messages with a single, clean, searchable workspace. Conversations stay organized by channel, and files and decisions are easy to find later. The integrations (Google Drive, Jira, Asana, etc.) also help turn it into a real command center for teams.

It reduces friction, too: you can go from a quick message to a call, share a file, or loop someone in instantly without breaking your flow. That’s exactly why fast-moving teams rely on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Slack’s main downside is how quickly it can become noisy and distracting. When there are too many channels, pings, and threads, important messages get buried, and people end up reacting all day instead of doing focused work.

It can also encourage an always-on communication culture, which may lead to burnout and unrealistic expectations around response times. Combine that with notification overload, messy channel sprawl, and rising costs as teams scale, and Slack can start to feel more chaotic than productive if it isn’t managed carefully. "Great integrations for workflows, but easy to miss for time-sensitive newsroom communication"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack works well as a central hub for internal communication and workflow automation. One of its biggest strengths is how easily it integrates with other tools we use every day, such as Marfeel. For example, we can automatically receive audience performance reports like the Good Morning summary directly in specific channels. This keeps the team informed without manual effort and ensures key data stays visible when making editorial and product decisions.

It’s also helpful for keeping discussions organized by topic, team, or project through dedicated channels. On top of that, Slack connects smoothly with other tools that are common in digital media workflows, such as Google Drive, calendars, and task notifications. Overall, these integrations reduce our reliance on email and bring important operational information into a single workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Despite its strengths, Slack isn’t always the most practical communication tool for day-to-day newsroom dynamics. Many journalists and editors—especially those working on the ground or out in the field—tend to rely more on WhatsApp, which they check far more frequently throughout the day. As a result, Slack messages and notifications can be overlooked or missed entirely, which reduces its usefulness for time-sensitive communication.

In practice, communication often feels more fluid and immediate through tools that are already deeply embedded in daily routines, like WhatsApp. For that reason, Slack seems better suited to structured updates, automation, and internal coordination, rather than urgent, real-time conversations with reporters who are outside the newsroom. What do you dislike about Slack?

The things that I disliked about the Slack are depicted below The important messages can sometimes did not get in focus, when there are too many active channels or notification popping out at the same time. When there is a large teams or active workplaces, messages from multiple channels ,threads , and direct message can become overwhelming making it difficult to focus on high priority conversations. Apart from that , over the time ,teams may create too many channels ,which can lead to the confusion and make it harder for me to identify where specific discussions should takes place. "Slack as an Intuitive Operational Hub with Seamless Integrations"
What do you like best about Slack?

What I value most about Slack is reflected in several aspects:

Ease of Use & Implementation: The platform is intuitive from day one. When I built the CS team at AgendaPro, new members could start collaborating effectively within hours, not days.

Ease of Integration: Native integrations with tools like ChurnZero, HubSpot, Chargebee, and Google Workspace are seamless. I can connect my CS systems without needing custom development, which transforms Slack into an operational hub where I receive health score alerts, ticket notifications, and billing updates in real-time.

Frequency of Use & Number of Features: It's my primary communication tool. The ability to manage multiple workspaces from a single account, use automated workflows, and keep conversations organized through threads makes it indispensable for daily operations. Features like dedicated channels for key accounts, saved messages, and historical search significantly improve team efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

If I had to point out areas for improvement:

Ease of Use (for new users): The initial learning curve can be steep in complex workspaces. When I scaled the CS team, I had to create onboarding guides to help new members navigate our channel structure effectively. Once this is overcome, productivity improves significantly.

Customer Support : Support can be slow for non-enterprise plans. I've had to rely on the community and documentation to resolve technical issues, which isn't ideal when you have an urgent problem.

Number of Features (notification management): With so many features and active channels, notification management can be overwhelming. I've had to be well-disciplined with settings—muting non-critical channels, using 'do not disturb', and prioritizing with stars—to avoid notification fatigue.

Ease of Integration (limitations): Although integrations are robust, some require paid plans or have limitations in the free version. For early-stage startups, this can be a blocker to leveraging the platform's full potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The fastest way to collaborate and stay aligned"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack makes communication fast, easy, and transparent. I especially like how conversations are organized into channels, which makes it straightforward to collaborate with AEs, marketing, and ops without getting stuck in long email threads.

Integrations with tools like Salesforce, Google Calendar, and Outreach are another big plus. I can receive real-time updates and stay on top of deals and meetings without constantly switching between platforms. Overall, Slack helps teams stay aligned and move quickly, which really matters in a fast-paced sales environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Slack is great for collaboration, but it can sometimes feel overwhelming due to the volume of notifications, especially when you’re in multiple channels at once. If notifications aren’t managed carefully, important messages can occasionally get buried in the noise.

I’ve also found that older conversations can be difficult to track down or resurface later, particularly when you’re searching across very active channels. That said, these feel more like usage challenges than true product issues, and with the right channel organization and notification settings, Slack works extremely well. "Makes Life Easier"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is great for fast, organized team communication. Channels keep topics clear, and integrations with tools like Google Drive and Zoom boost productivity. It’s especially useful for remote teams, making collaboration and quick updates easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Slack is great for quick communication but has downsides. Important messages often get lost in threads, and the free plan limits search history. Too many channels can cause confusion, and it’s not ideal for storing long-term information.

Notifications can be distracting and create pressure to respond quickly, which affects focus and work-life balance. It’s also easy to rely on Slack for everything, making it harder to manage and onboard new team members effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

Slack offers a range of advantages that make it a standout collaboration tool. Its intuitive interface and well-structured channels simplify team communication, while robust integrations with popular apps like Google Drive, Zoom, and Jira help centralize workflows. The platform’s powerful search capabilities ensure past messages and files are easy to retrieve, and its cross-device sync allows seamless collaboration from anywhere. By reducing reliance on email and encouraging real-time discussions, Slack fosters faster decision-making and improved team coordination. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptionally User-Friendly and Versatile—The Best Software Experience Yet"
What do you like best about Slack?

I have not used any other software that is so user friendly and compatible as Slack. It has almost all the features, customisation and UI designing options which makes it a very interactive software as per our requirements.

I have never observed any lag in the software or felt it is running slow or my work is stuck due to that.

It is so easy to integrate with other softwares as well and have the capacity to handle complex integrations very smoothly.

One of the best software i have used till date!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The only issue i have sometime faced is while sharing files, sometimes it use to fail. I understand that sometimes the cause maybe different such as internet issues but it should give some prompts like that so we as a end user could understand the exact cause of the challenge. "Intuitive, Fast, and Seamless for Remote Collaboration"
What do you like best about Slack?

I use Slack for its ease of communication and data sharing in a remote setup. It's easy to use and fast, which helps me stay in flow. I love the UI/UX as well. Channels keep conversations organized, and sharing files or context takes seconds. Slack makes collaboration in a remote setup feel simple and efficient. I also find the integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Jira incredibly useful, as they make it easier to share files, jump into meetings, and track work without switching between too many apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Notifications can get overwhelming in busy workspaces, and it's easy to miss important messages. With too many channels, things can feel noisy, and message history sometimes becomes hard to track over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
