  ### 11. Automate Using Flows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jitendra S. | Salesforce Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I have used Microsoft Power Automate for automating my emails with the google drive, about this I got to know from online that we can setup automations using this tool. ### 12. A powerful automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edwin V. | Desarrollador de Software, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

From my perspective, the main advantage of Power Automate is that you don't need to be a programming expert to create efficient workflows. This not only relieves the burden on the development team but also allows business users, those who know the processes best, to automate their own tasks. Another key point is its integration with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and a host of external services. This means we can connect SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and Dynamics 365, among others, without having to write complex APIs.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

From my perspective as a developer, the main reservations aren't about what the tool can do, but how it might do it. The core concerns are a lack of transparency. Additionally, there's the long-term worry of vendor lock-in, which could limit flexibility if Microsoft changes its platform. In short, the developer is skeptical about whether the tool offers the same level of control and flexibility they get from writing code.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From a developer's perspective, Power Automate addresses key business pain points by automating repetitive manual tasks, breaking down information silos between different applications, and speeding up delayed workflows like document approvals. This not only makes the business more efficient but also directly benefits the developer. It frees up time from simple integration tasks and "quick fix" requests, allowing the developer to focus on more complex, high-value coding. Ultimately, Power Automate is seen not as a replacement for a developer's job, but as a strategic ally that boosts overall productivity and allows them to focus on what matters most.

  ### 13. Streamlined University Projects, But Needs Easier Email Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arvindh A.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I used Microsoft Power Automate for my university project, and it was really good. The ability to automate email processes for sending booking confirmations was quite helpful. I appreciate how Microsoft Power Automate allows for seamless integration with Microsoft Forms to automate budget notifications, making the process efficient by automating the email communications whether the budget is accepted or not. I found it easy to use, which is significant, particularly when learning new technology, and I was genuinely interested in exploring more about its capabilities. The setup was straightforward with guidance from my professor, ensuring a smooth start with the tool, which was a major plus. Overall, my experience was positive, which is reflected in my likelihood of recommending it—I'd rate it a nine out of ten.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I find connecting emails, particularly adding the receiver's email, quite confusing and challenging. The process of integrating my email with others was difficult to understand.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Power Automate to streamline sending booking confirmations, easing email automation in my university project. It's beneficial for automating email notifications after form submissions, although connecting other people's emails could be simplified.

  ### 14. Effortless Automation with User-Friendly Power

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sathvik R.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I really appreciate how user-friendly Microsoft Power Automate is, particularly since there's no need to code, which is incredibly helpful for someone like me who doesn't have a strong coding background. It allows me to easily build and automate very complex tasks, which is a significant advantage. Additionally, I find that setting up Microsoft Power Automate is quite straightforward, with a self-explanatory user interface that makes navigation a breeze. The UI is well-structured, making it easy to understand and guide through the setup process.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I have observed that sometimes the Power Automate flow fails but it doesn't promptly report these failures. As a result, I need to manually check after users report issues, which is inconvenient. There's definitely room for improvement in this area, specifically regarding the notification system when a scheduled job fails.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Power Automate to automate manual tasks, boosting team efficiency and collaboration while saving costs by eliminating coordinators.

  ### 15. It is a Powerful Tool!!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** vladimir C. | Infrastructure Security analist, Transportation/Trucking/Railroad, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

We can integrate it with multiple services and applications from different providers. To automate repetitive tasks, we can execute flows in different ways: scheduled, triggered by events, manually, or through buttons. Additionally, for easy use and deployment, it has templates for the most common automations and is easy to implement.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

The learning curve is steep, execution in basic plans can be frustrating due to their limitations, and costs can quickly rise with increased usage. It is difficult to debug when something goes wrong, and if a connector doesn't exist, it can be frustrating to look for alternatives that take a lot of time.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Power Automate sometimes fails or runs slowly, it costs money when you use it a lot, and it can be confusing when something doesn't work well. This benefits you because many companies need help with these problems - if you learn to solve them, you can become the person they turn to when Power Automate gives them headaches. It's like being the "expert technician" who knows how to fix what others can't, which makes you very valuable at work because there will always be companies that need someone to make their automations work correctly.

  ### 16. A powerful tool for automating tasks within the Microsoft ecosystem.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajat M. | Solutions Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

The best feature of Power Automate is its seamless integration with the entire Microsoft 365 suite. The ability to create complex workflows that connect SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel with minimal effort is a significant advantage. The vast library of pre-built templates provides a great starting point for new users, and the low-code, drag-and-drop interface makes it accessible for users who aren't traditional programmers. The recent addition of AI-powered Copilot features, which help build flows from natural language descriptions, is a game-changer for accelerating development.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

While simple automations are straightforward, the learning curve can become unexpectedly steep when creating more complex, multi-step flows with conditional logic. The debugging and error-handling process can be clunky and time-consuming, as identifying the exact point of failure in a long flow isn't always intuitive. Furthermore, the licensing model can be confusing, especially when determining which connectors are "premium" and require a higher-tiered plan. For very large or high-volume workflows, we have also noticed some performance throttling, which can cause delays.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Power Automate is solving the problem of manual, repetitive tasks that consume significant staff hours. For example, we have automated the process of saving email attachments to specific SharePoint folders, routing documents for approval through Teams, and collecting data from Microsoft Forms to populate an Excel sheet. This has benefited our team by drastically reducing the time spent on administrative work, minimizing the potential for human error, and allowing us to focus on more strategic, high-value activities. It has created significant internal efficiencies and improved our business process agility.

  ### 17. Power Automate saves hours by streamlining daily tasks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick M. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

It’s native to Microsoft 365, so connecting Outlook → SharePoint → Teams is point-and-click, not custom code.

Templates + AI Builder make common flows (approvals, form processing, file moves) quick to ship.

Runs scale from simple triggers to RPA on desktop for legacy systems.

The monitoring view (run history, error details, retry) makes support straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

Complex branching can get visually noisy; solutioning large flows needs discipline (naming, comments, child flows).

Licensing and per-flow/per-user SKUs can be confusing for mixed RPA + cloud scenarios.

Non-Microsoft connectors sometimes lag in advanced features or throttling limits.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Power Automate helps us eliminate repetitive manual tasks across Microsoft 365 and third-party apps. Routine processes like approvals, notifications, and file organization that used to take hours now run automatically in the background.

It reduces dependency on manual follow-ups—approvals no longer get lost in email chains, data from Forms flows directly into SharePoint/Excel, and reminders are sent without anyone needing to remember them.

The benefit is faster turnaround times, fewer human errors, and a clear audit trail for compliance. We’ve saved [150 hours] per week in our team, improved response times to customers/internal requests, and freed staff to focus on higher-value work instead of repetitive admin.

  ### 18. Reliable Automation with Room for Error Handling

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kirthi Vinson D.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I find Microsoft Power Automate incredibly valuable for its reliability and the way it significantly reduces the time I spend on routine, mundane tasks by automating them. The software seamlessly connects various tools I use such as Excel, Power BI, and Outlook, facilitating an efficient workflow where tasks such as refreshing reports, approvals, scheduling KPIs, and updating dashboards occur effortlessly. This automation minimizes the manual effort required from me, allowing me to focus on more strategic tasks and reducing the likelihood of human error. The ability to integrate data from different applications like Excel and SQL also enhances my project management, making Microsoft Power Automate a crucial tool for my work.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I find that Microsoft Power Automate lacks advanced error handling capabilities. When there is a problem, such as a naming error or an issue related to special characters in filenames, the error messages provided are not adequately informative about the action that failed or the specific cause of the problem. This lack of detail makes the troubleshooting process longer and more frustrating than it should be. Implementing a more detailed error messaging system at a step level, along with a debug mode, could significantly enhance the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively. Additionally, automatic error fixing suggestions would be a beneficial feature.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Power Automate to automate tasks like refreshing reports and managing approvals, which saves me time. It connects various tools like Excel and Power BI, minimizing manual effort and errors, allowing me to focus on more important tasks.

It helps to automate various workflows and is basically low code offering by Microsoft
It can mimic human interactions as well such as clicking, pressing a button and automate those commands
It can help create internal processes that help grant permissions and send mails or text about status to all stakeholders' part of the workflow

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

It is dependent on machine resources which again can be a problem if they are not updates, the whole system can crash
It has sometimes difficult error tracking and exception handling processes that don't make it a complete tool
pricing is very confusing as for some offering its pay per user others it is per flow or add-ons

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps create custom connections for systems that don't integrate well like office 365, Power BI or Dataverse and zoom or other third-party chat or calling platforms.
It can help manage data flows from mobile and no need to use computers or laptops to schedule or run tasks that are automated
It can add AI capabilities not limited to voice or text recognition, chatbots or GenAi tools or invoice and form processing tools

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I love how Microsoft Power Automate simplifies automation in my organization. I find it extremely efficient when it comes to automating tasks that were previously manual and time-consuming, such as managing email updates and generating reports. Its seamless integration with SharePoint and Teams has been a game-changer, allowing us to automate processes like manager vouching and the ASOC tracker. I particularly appreciate its ability to automatically trigger emails and share information without the need for constant manual intervention. The ease with which I can set up scripts in Excel and have them run automatically with a simple trigger, saving so much time in generating and distributing reports, is impressive. Moreover, Microsoft Power Automates feature of sharing ownership and exporting flows ensures continuity in processes even if team members leave, which is vital for maintaining efficiency and consistency in operations. The ability to follow a simple process via email even when changes occur within the team is invaluable. What stands out for me is the intuitive nature of the platform; everything is clearly detailed with comprehensive instructions, making it easy to use and understand without external help. Its copious free flows and opportunities for hands-on exploration have made learning and adapting to it a smooth experience. Overall, Microsoft Power Automate has been indispensable for reducing our workload and increasing productivity, making it an essential tool in our organizational toolkit.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

One drawback I faced with Microsoft Power Automate is the limitation in sending adaptive cards to a large number of users via a distribution list (DL). I worked on a project that required sending adaptive cards to over 2,500 users, and Power Automate did not support sending to a DL. This meant I had to send them individually or find alternative solutions. I eventually resolved this by using SharePoint or Excel to handle the user data, but it would be much more efficient if Power Automate could handle distribution lists directly.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Power Automate streamlines processes like manager approval and emergency tracking, reducing errors and manual tasks. It automates reminders and report generation, improving efficiency and accuracy. This automation saved us hours, turning lengthy tasks into quick, organized workflows.

**Reviewed by:** Dave L. | Senior Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

The ease of use with integrating other Microsoft products. Steps are easy to implement, there's great Microsoft customer support, and it has a lot of features (although to be honest, the best ones you have to get a premium license for). I'm currently on a project using Power Automate, so use it at least once per week. The ability to track the workflow while it's running (eg, see each step and how long it took) and the logging features are fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

There's a lot of features which aren't intuitive; people who have no experience with process automation will probably need to watch a few videos to understand how some things work. Other process automation software is easier to understand compared to Power Automate. Also, the license and storage costs climb quickly depending on the features you require.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Power automate isn't solving many problems that couldn't be solved using other technologies. That being said, the main benefit of us using Power Automate is it's no/low-code mantra, which allows anyone to take it up who has basic I.T./Computer skills knowledge. We have people using PA who have never been a developer in their life, and they are enjoying it with the drag/drop ability to put in place systems without any hard-core programming.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinayak S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

What I like best about Microsoft Power Automate is how simple it makes building workflows, even for someone without a coding background. The Copilot feature is a big plus — I can just describe what I want in plain language, and it helps me generate a flow instantly. It feels more like having an assistant that guides me through the setup rather than me figuring everything out from scratch. Combined with the ready-to-use templates and smooth integration with Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, it saves me a lot of time on repetitive tasks.

I use Microsoft Power Automate almost daily as I am a RPA developer, and the biggest benefit is how much time it saves on routine tasks. Things like approvals, notifications, or moving files between apps just happen automatically now. Because I rely on it so frequently, it really feels like an essential productivity tool rather than just a ‘nice to have’.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

What I dislike about Microsoft Power Automate is that sometimes the flows can get tricky to troubleshoot when something breaks — the error messages aren’t always clear. The Copilot feature is great, but it doesn’t always understand more complex or niche requirements, so I still end up tweaking things manually. Also, some premium connectors require extra licensing, which can be a bit expensive if you want to scale automations widely.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Power Automate is solving a lot of my repetitive work problems. For example, I no longer have to manually send reminders, move files, or chase approvals — all of that runs automatically in the background. The ability to set up scheduled tasks is especially useful, like sending daily reports or weekly reminders at a fixed time without me having to think about it. It keeps everything consistent, saves time, and reduces errors. The Copilot feature also helps me create flows faster by simply describing what I want, which makes automation much easier to set up.

I was able to quickly understand how flows operate and easily make adjustments by modifying the action item blocks. Additionally, I could take advantage of AI prompts and further train them with additional files and processes, which helped me refine the final solution for clients.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

At times, the logs were too vague and did not offer sufficient details about the reasons behind an action item block failing during the process. This lack of direct information made troubleshooting more challenging.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool makes it easy to create automation flows that integrate smoothly with other Microsoft applications, such as MS Dynamics. I also appreciate how straightforward it is to understand the purpose of each action item. Additionally, the support provided by Microsoft is noticeably better compared to other similar applications.

  ### 47. Efficient Automation and Easy Integration with the Microsoft Ecosystem

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonidas R. | Network Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I love how intuitive Microsoft Power Automate is because its interface is very easy to use, allowing me to manage my tasks quickly. I especially appreciate the seamless integration with other Microsoft tools, such as OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Teams. This integration allows everything to work together in one place, simplifying daily operations and improving efficiency. Additionally, the fact that Microsoft Power Automate performs tasks automatically saves me a lot of time that was previously consumed by manual processes. This allows me to focus on more productive activities. I also value how it immediately adapted to my needs since I started using it, and I would recommend it due to its ease of use and high capacity to integrate within the Microsoft ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I don't like that Microsoft Power Automate is not very visually appealing. The visual interface could be more modern and have a more guided style. Currently, it seems a bit clunky and perhaps not very intuitive, which could be uncomfortable for other users.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solve a daily task that used to consume a lot of my time with Microsoft Power Automate in a simple way, which saves me time for other activities. Additionally, its integration with the Microsoft ecosystem facilitates the management of tools in an integrated manner.

  ### 48. Microsoft Power Automate – A Helpful Tool to Automate Daily Tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sourabh M. | Senior Recruiting Coordinator, Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

What I like most about Power Automate is that it is easy to use, even for someone without coding skills. The setup and implementation are simple, and it connects well with other Microsoft apps like Outlook, Teams, and Excel. I use it almost every day to handle repetitive tasks, and it saves a lot of time. There are many ready-made templates and features that make creating flows faster.
Also, customer support is helpful whenever I need guidance.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

At first it can feel a little confusing, and it takes some time to get used to the flow settings. But once you understand it, things become easier.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Power Automate helps me reduce manual and repetitive work by automating tasks like approvals, notifications, and data updates. This saves a lot of time, minimizes errors, and allows me to focus more on important work instead of routine tasks.

  ### 49. Useful for Report Generation, but Leaves Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I think its really useful for report generation task. For eg, previously we were using big python scripts for automating some excel sheets and we needed someone to maintain them, But now it's simpler and faster process.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

Microsoft’s pricing is intentionally confusing. You’ll start a project for "free" with your M365 license, only to hit a wall when you need a Premium Connector (like SQL, Salesforce, or even HTTP). Suddenly, you’re looking at a $15/user or $500/month bill just to connect to a non-Microsoft app.

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think its really useful for report generation task. For eg, previously we were using big python scripts for automating some excel sheets and we needed someone to maintain them, But now it's simpler and faster process.

I like how easy it is to find the data and integrate it with different functions and how easy it is to map the process out

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?**

I dislike the fact that power automate can sometimes when using integrations from different services it can get a little complicated

**What problems is Microsoft Power Automate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the automation of multiple repetitive tasks and that helps clear my day up
