## 3CX Reviews
  ### 1. An advanced level of high-definition communications for your business with 3CX.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

This software maintains a peculiar programming that calls my attention in great quantities, because it acquires unified communicative resources, which can be used by any company regardless of its size. This system is based on telephone interactions, because it keeps powerful records of the operations performed, without excluding that their definition in each of these calls is extremely high, allowing a productive development in these areas of great importance at the business level.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

One of the characteristics that position this software in a disadvantage to average scales, is because to receive attention on the part of the program, we must cancel the monthly payments apart from the support, being a problem to great scales because its price increases suddenly, demanding a fixed price for these operations that necessarily must be free, to offer a service of quality and to satiate doubts and to solve existing problems.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

3CX is very easy to configure, to the most appropriate and convenient environment for the user who decides to use its digital facilities, for telecommunication operations, as well as to install, it is very simple, allowing any operator, can install their databases to their computers and start promoting their services, in other words it should be noted that its telephone functions are incredibly advanced, being ideal for interactive operations and determine a good job, so as to lead to the desired reference point from the beginning of the executed call.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this software, due to its wide qualities in the communicative operations that we can develop through the digital installations of this service, it is necessary to emphasize that we maintain this system in the platforms that we acquire, integrated in each one of these since it is the main telephone server at general level, being extremely brilliant for us, to idealize and to interact with the clients, generically to offer massively the products that we have in disposition, being an exclusive marketing and of high range, due to the incredible and sophisticated sales that we exert, thanks to this application.

  ### 2. 3CX after 5 years of usage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Recreational Facilities and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

It is very easy to use once it is set up. We can add users, change menus, add recordings and background music very easily.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The setup can be a little tricky, thus the need for a VAR. Security can become an issue if you don't know what your doing, also the need for a VAR. The 3CX app for smartphones is great, but requires that you are up to date on the version of 3CX on premise (if you chose that route).

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

You can install it for free and try it out. If you have decent technical ability you should be able to set this up as a trial and give it a good test.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small company, so it is nice to have a system that is easy maintain.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for taking the time to review.

  ### 3. Set quality in your phone calls.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

It is a wonderful software that we can consider that most of its characteristics, in the labor field, are extremely easy, which allows flexibility, both for expert users of the system, and for beginners who only have basic knowledge, due to its review, with the user interface, mentioning that it has information, very clear and direct, that access a well-fostered understanding, without excluding that most of the integrations it has, with other web applications, are totally perfect, providing capabilities of very explicit and formidable uses.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

An update of the application with a new design in its templates, would be an extraordinary idea of modernization within the system, since its aspects are somewhat obscure, and transmit insecurity, when making a telephone call, through this system, the Which one more conserved and appreciable aspect, would not hurt, without excluding that the option to add more members to a single conference is very important, and we can emphasize that it does not have these necessary irregularities.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

3CX is a good software for telephone purposes, well thought out with many features and options, which allow you to establish interactions through audio, at other levels of quality, which allows a well-structured call with excellent definition, for a fluent chat, without cuts, or anything like that, which is cloud-based and obviously powered by internet connections, being recommended, since it will allow you to scale properly and smoothly, because it can be run on anything, to communication objectives, through voice.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using the highly intuitive telephone system of this software, both for the communications of our personnel, as well as for meetings or appointments with clients and even, for purposes of interactions through audio, with other organizations, for convening meetings for benefits Mutual, or better said for business, in other outstanding aspects, we can mention that we have had a good service in this way for basic interactions, which are usually established in any company, mostly manipulated by our secretarial sector.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your feedback.

**Reviewed by:** Krunal A. | Network Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The 3CX phone system catches my attention in great respects as it has a really nice provisioning function that works with phones, mentioning that the web portal of this software is very exceptional, I love how I can keep it open during the day and see quickly who is busy on the phone and see what lines are available, without excluding that this system contains a perfect integration with the platforms that are implemented.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

It is worth mentioning that the mobile application is a bit dry and boring to visualize, as you could consider presenting an update with a more modern look, to have a visual satisfaction when entering, since it lacks colors and dynamics with respect to the issue of operation of the software, in such aspects we can underline that the user interface is not the best, since it is not very intuitive and has varieties of margin that require improvement.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

It is ideal for any company from large to smaller categories, in which if you mainly want to reduce telecommunications costs by telephone, since it maintains all the necessary functionalities to carry out these jobs in a very easy way, and It works with very little maintenance, giving a higher performance, since it is more likely to be used frequently, without any kind of interruption, providing efficient and effective services.

3CX was implemented in my organization as our corporate phone system, we use it mainly for all fixed line needs in a maximum percentage of use in the company, including automatic assistants and voice mails, to have an operator for our incoming calls and outgoing, in an automated way, offering us a wide range of fully unified communication options for better performance, by performing operations virtually to the majority of users.

As a business having 3cx on the laptops for calling is a lot easier to use than giving each user a corded phone, we have also saved on a lot of equipment expenses because on the 3cx app. The other nice feature is we have multiple people calling at the same time. +- 80 users.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The biggest upside of 3CX is its ease of use. If you are a bit tech savvy, you will be able to handle 3CX in no time. At the same time we hardly found tasks we could not solve with 3CX, so it is flexible and feature-rich as well.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Mainly it is the missing API. I don't need database access, but an API to control things would be great.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have about 200 users (IP phones and DECT) + an alarm server and we were easily able to switch from our old Alcatel system to 3CX. The cost benefit alone is huge, but even more we value the ease of use compared to the horror that is Alcatel.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your feedback. The C# API still exists, but due to its nature is not publicly available. The reason is that a wrongly developed integration can severely hinder the performance and operation of the installed 3CX system. For this reason we provide the newer API documentation to 3CX Partners and a case-to-case basis and only upon request. You can contact your 3CX Sales Representative for more information.

  ### 24. Hard to fault anything about 3CX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul R. | Head of Telecommunications, 3CX and VoIP, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

It's rare that I ever have to answer the question "can 3CX do this?" with no. The software is incredibly flexible and can be tailored to fit any need small or large. It runs simply and easily in the cloud with very low resources. The standard web interface meets you 99% of your needs but if you need more the excellent Call Flow Designer is there to step in as well. Throw in a mobile app that actually works, very capable web conferencing and a constant approach to development and it's all you could ask for. I love that the hardware isn't proprietary and you can pick and choose from a very wide range of supported handsets or headsets at all price points. Oh, and a Standard 8 call licence for free!

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Sometimes the flexibility and multiple tailoring options make it not obvious which is the *best* way to get it to do what you need. Some interface choices can be a bit confusing but it rewards learning the ins and outs. Sometimes they change what's included in each licence tier but that seems to have settled down now.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Try the trial!

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving phone system problems for companies of all sizes and shapes. Especially in the current remote working situation. Web chat to the phones system is also very handy. The cost benefits can't be underestimated. Compare it to the competition and you'll see gigantic software savings.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your feedback regarding CRM

  ### 27. Do yourself a favour and try 3CX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris D. | Systems Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Reliability, Flexibility, ease of use and pricing.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

HA is lacking and pricing/versions are becoming more complex.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Concerns around managing or expanding our phone system (of +500 extensions, mobile clients, remote offices & hotdesking) has become a thing of the past.

Our staff cave come to expect the user friendly customisable experience that we just were't able to achieve before deploying 3CX.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated.

  ### 28. Easy implementation and simple to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Accessible on mobile via the app, computer and phone and can use anywhere. Reporting and dashboards also really good.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

To date there are no major dislikes I have

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Ensure you have internet capabilities and IT infrastructure to ensure good call quality. Map out your plan well prior to implementation.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of calls and missed calls. Management of staff and their behaviours.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your review

  ### 29. Robust and Reliable VoIP Phone System for Businesses of All Sizes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nepal P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

3CX regularly released improvements and bug fixes throughout the year. They are aware of business needs and have customized 3CX to address the communication needs of all types of businesses. 3CX provides a free license to try their product and they do not limit the number of extensions in the trial license or any of their license models. The ability to setup and use 3CX with popular cloud hosting services such as Azure and AWS are a huge bonus since we have mobile work forces who need to be connected to a single PBX.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

3CX is sometimes slow to adopt traditional key system PBX features that end-users are accustomed to using in their older PBX systems. As such, there are certain work-arounds that must be done to bridge the feature gap for the end-users.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

n/a

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a mobile workforce it is key to have a single PBX that can reach all employees. 3CX's ability to install on cloud hosting providers has helped solve the issue of mobile offices and roaming employees. We can place desk phones in any location with an Internet connection or the employees can use the web client or smartphone apps.

  ### 30. 3CX Flexible, affordable, robust

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Willis R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

We reviewed several systems and 3cx was most cost-effective and best "bang for the buck". Many other systems you had to pay extra for the really nice features that are all built into the Enterprise edition of 3cx. We implemented over 200 phones and around 30 PA speakers and intercoms at a cost that was less than 1/3 of some of the competitors. The features of 3cx are pretty impressive. Web browser-based access, Android and IOS apps, Web conferencing, fairly simple management interface, simple phone provisioning, advanced call management, flexible digital receptionist options, wide VoIP phone compatibility make for a really good phone system. We tested for over a year before implementing, and are happy we did.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Management interface in some areas does not easily allow some advanced configuration. One example is the BLF setup on extensions. It is not visual, but rather a numbered list. This can be a pain to manage when you have extensions with phones that have sidecars. You have to calculate the number of locations on the phone and sidecar to know where exactly the entry will be placed (for example, you have to know what entry number the phone spills over to the sidecar at). These have not been major for us, areas we would like to see improved.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Give it a try. It will run on a reasonably sized desktop (I used an i5 desktop with 16Gb of RAM) for a pilot, and there are free fully functional trials out there to download. It is relatively easy to install on a smaller scale. I installed a test instance to evaluate myself. If you are in IT or have a technical background, you should be able to get 3cx up and running on a small scale to test. The online help and community is very good and will get you through most all issues. We used a reseller to do our main implementation because of size, but after the pilot project, I was able to do quite a bit myself on our production implementation. You can also find relatively cheap VoIP phones out there for testing (we use Yealink phones).

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3cx has been great for our users working from home. With the smartphone apps and web-based access portal, our telecommuters can pick up ad make calls on their 3cx extension from anywhere, just as if they were sitting at their desk. This includes conferencing (both audio and video), voicemail notifications and even paging. We can manage all of these features and active calls easily from an admin console. Our sales organization can easily manage and get reports on call center activity, giving us the ability to tweak the number or mix of customer service/sales representatives to meet customer needs.

  ### 31. 3CX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cayl S. | Manager of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Setup was straight forward and easy to get going. Phone auto provisioning made setting up new extension a breeze. The licensed version was free for a year giving us plenty of time to have a real production setup to evaluate and tweak to our needs. We love the 3CX app for smartphones.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

When support was needed, it seemed to difficult to actually talk to someone. However, the support community on the 3CX website was very helpful. Upgrading from to Version 16 from 15 was clumsy.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Take the plunge! It has been nothing but a win for our school

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a better way to communicate with classrooms. Teachers needed a way to have a private conversation with the school office or parents. The phone bill using old analog lines was too high.

We were able to put a phone in every classroom using the existing data network. Using SIP trunking, our phone bill is now 70% less than what it used to be.

  ### 32. 3cx as a unified communication solution for small buisinesses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul H. | Systems Integrator/System Administration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The webmeeting feature is easy and robust. You can do ad-hoc presentations or schedule meetings. You can share content, support staff can use the remote control features to assist others. It's a powerful and useful tool. Also the reporting feature looks very professional.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The softphone is not the best software-wise. There are 2 versions of the softphone that I have used and they seem to be solid with a few clunky aspects to them. I feel like this will improve over time. The apps for iphone and android are excellent however. I would also like to see more support for desk phones, we were able to get older phones to work with the system by changing the firmware. Another feature we would like to see is support for H.323 conferencing systems. It's disappointing to not be able to add video conferencing room systems to video calls.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

I recommend this product if you have mobile staff and need to be in contact. The suite of software that comes with this product for the price point is outstanding. The product is very easy to implement and the support community is helpful and responsive to questions. The administration of this product is also very simple compared to older phone systems.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company uses an ancient phone system, which has end of life hardware, and software mostly. While the 3cx does not cleanly integrate with our current system it can be used as a workaround for a lot of things. For example, the softphones that work with our old system require licenses, and with the software being end of life there is no way to support the system when it fails. The softphone with 3cx has a robust set of features and it does many more things without needing additional licensing. It's been a great replacement so far.

  ### 33. Ease of Deployment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corbin D. | Technical Sales Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

3CX is simple to configure and easy to use.
The user interface makes it straightforward and simple whilst still being powerful.

We've been deploying 3CX for our customer base for some time now and it's impressive with the variety of ways you can configure it.

3CX's support team are also very knowledgeable and happy to assist.

Makes remote working a breeze..

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Reporting suite doesn't meet all customers requirements and could do with some improvements to better suit contact centres.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Great for ease of use.
There are a few 3rd parties that do integrations with their own software to leverage the offering although they can be expensive.

Often if you not sure on how to do something 3CX will be able to guide you through the process.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3CX allows for remote working as a standard offering over a secure communication with the server.
The presence information available through the web client and soft phone applications really does make working with multiple staff in remote offices far easier.

  ### 34. A comprehensive and easy to use VoIP platform.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noah B. | System Administrator and VoIP Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

3CX makes it easy to rapidly deploy PBXs. It is easy for both technical staff and users to understand and is very feature rich. Getting non-technical staff on softphones is a breeze, and configuring new phones and extensions is about as easy as it can be. Update schedules frequently enable new functionality or improve upon existing functionality which is nice as well. Overall, I am very happy with the solution.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Working with the 3CX support team is challenging and usually not helpful. If you run into problems, you are usually further ahead to figure it out yourself than to engage 3CX support. Migrating from Mitel systems can also be a but of a challenge since Mitel offers some more advanced functionality that 3CX doesn't currently support. Bulk changes such as changing phone templates is also a pain, but can be automated with their API.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

3CX is an easy to use, and fast to implement cloud-hostable PBX. Out of all of the VoIP platforms I have worked with, 3CX is the easiest and most feature rich. If you aren't sure, use a 3CX trial key and go from there!

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now, the biggest challenge we have faced is the mass migration to work-from-home as a result of COVID-19. 3CX made this challenge significantly easier by being able to cloud host the PBX, and by providing web meeting functionality.

  ### 35. A great tool to manage your Corporate phone system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan B. | Directeur Technologies de l'Information, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Innovations are happening all the time with 3CX.
The interface is fluid and easy to use.
A lot of features are available, including 3CX Web Meeting and more.
A lot of phone manufacturers are supported and this makes the software highly flexible.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Mainly the lack of support that isn't coming by default with the perpetual license.
We find that having to customize our phones template everytime we update the system is not optimal for us.
Nothing to dislike since the software perfectly answers our need.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Take your time to go through the entire documentation and best practices to get your environment configured the best possible way.
Use the community to browse through already reported issue and get help on the knowledge base.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Addressing the need of managing our own PBX over IP and the flexibility to interact with different manufacturers and remote users.
We had to address a change of old PBX system and 3CX perfectly answered the need.

  ### 36. Robust and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kat W. | VoIP Engineer/Telecom Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

3CX is feature rich and well rounded as a phone system.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

I do not like the fact that admin rights are either all or none. There needs to be a way you can select what admin rights an extension has. Admins should also be able to see other admins, although I understand the reasons why you cannot. As robust as 3CX is, it falls short where admin rights are assigned.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

3CX is a well rounded phone system that offers web meetings, video conferencing, queueing and much more. If you're looking for a system that will exceed your expectations, 3CX is the platform you want to use. Combine 3CX with an experienced VoIP partner and you will not regret your decision to do so.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Regardless of customer size, 3CX has a solution for any business model. 3CX integrates well with Salesforce and others like it, which makes it an easy sell to customers wanting these features.

  ### 37. Cost effective, simple and feature rich

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the issue of insanely high phone bills from the top 4 Teclo providers
Solving the issue of removing physical hardware

  ### 41. Software of unbeatable conditions.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jane M. | Training Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The access and volume management reform provided with its data coding guarantees to maintain an optimal support and content sharing, adding more properties to your system, integrating second and third management speakers for audio calls collections, fins and monitoring status tracking notifications, which will be in charge of maintaining the management ratio and the operability of your software in the best conditions, innovating by the branching it uses and the communication sustainability that users can have with your platform.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The functionality of your integrated audio system and the detection of coded actions based on the communication area is affected because many users do not have full knowledge of the options of your control panel, due to a lack of clear knowledge of the use that each function of the software can have, keeping out of reach of many customers certain options of your platform, which can end up with many doubts and problems found within your organization.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

The practicality of its interface, and the corporate development that frames the most resulting qualities of 3CX can give life to every action performed by its team, to promote strong communications, innovative, enabling and understandable to any user who uses the management in telecommunications that can offer this software, being the leader in its category to take control of the audible and textual connections in the information part of the company, being part of the organizational development of the corporation.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By prioritizing my networks and digital communications, I can link and stably unify an automatic sequence, which comes directly from the 3CX factory base, single platform, compatible and sustainable to suit companies of any size, having the capacity well given and worked, to run on individual needs as collective of an organization, standardizing their functions and improving the acceptance of their call centers remote access conditions, video chat, management of real-time meetings and operational support, to introduce a modest standard of openness of activities.

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Flexible, Affordable and Stable. These are all I feeling while using 3cx system.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The greeting voice is not easy to handle. I can put multiple music and voice in a playlist then assign to greeting voice. But if I have other voice need to play like call back service reminding, that will play 2 voices at same time.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is flexible when adding more extension. Just need to monitor the sim call and find out how many sim call capacity we need, then no other thing I need to worry.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your feedback. Digital Receptionists and Queues both offer the ability to select a different WAV file or Playlist that is separate from the Global Music on Hold of the system. This should give some flexibility to play different prompts and messages depending on the case.

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

It has tons of features. Easy to set up and maintain. Not buggy like Asterisk and others. Best of all is pricing is affordable.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Their live support options have room for improvement but seems to be getting better. The good news is 3cx rarely if ever has bugs so you dont have to worry too much about this.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Compare the price. 3cx bases pricing based on max simultaneous phone conversations which makes the pricing unbeatable.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3cx lowers our overall cost and helps with call flow for our small call center. Being closed based helps a ton too since we have phones all over the country. Mobile app works just like a SIP desk phone which has come in handy since we have so many that are working from home right now in light of the Corona-virus.
