The tool offers free tiers for many users, those with less than 200 windows

"Feature-Rich Solution at a Great Price"
What do you like best about Action1?

Action1 provides a lot of features for a reasonable price. The features that we use most are patch management, software deployment, and remote control. The patch management feature works far better than our previous WSUS deployment for managing operating system updates, and we use it every month. Action1 was easy to set up in our environment and is definitely compatible with most standard products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

We do not have any unresolved issues with Action1, and we can't think of any parts that we dislike. The customer support has been very helpful. If we had to reach for a negative, it would probably be that it's not as widespread as some of the other solutions out there. Their user base seems to be rapidly expanding, so they are heading that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Software Management with Robust Remote Installation"
What do you like best about Action1?

I like that it also allows me to keep track of third-party software installations and updates and even has a large library of our LOB application stack already configured for updating / installation. In addition, I can securely and remotely install new programs as our users require them without giving them admin rights to their workstation(s) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I haven't found anything I dislike so far Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Central Control and Single Pane of Glass"
What do you like best about Action1?

I like how the dashboard give a single-pane-of-glass view of all the crucial metrics of our environment. We've only rolled it out to a couple of pilot groups to start, and it's already given us valuable insight into where to tighten up our security posture. The granular control over patch approvals, plus the fact that the first 200 endpoints are free, reassured us we make the right choice. I'm looking forward to seeing how secure we are a month from now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

We are still in the early phases and so far there are no major downsides to report. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Setup, Robust Automation"
What do you like best about Action1?

I love the ease of use and how easy it is to get started with Action1. The automation features are robust, and the system effectively flags a wide variety of vulnerabilities. I find the centralization and automation of updates and asset inventory extremely helpful, as it significantly simplifies our workload. The remote access capabilities are easier and quicker to roll out compared to our previous solutions, such as TeamViewer. Additionally, the automated patching and updates feature works very well, allowing us to efficiently manage software updates. Overall, Action1 has been instrumental in helping us clear our backlog, providing a comprehensive solution for our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

There are a few aspects of Action1 that I find challenging. Firstly, the remote access feature could be greatly improved with the addition of a remote clipboard and remote chat, as well as shortcuts to commonly used areas. The clarity of deploying the agent to endpoints manually was also a bit challenging to decipher. Additionally, while automated patching and updates are generally effective, I feel there could be more of these automations. Furthermore, the feedback mechanism could be improved; instead of having to drill down for details, a report showing the success of deployments by the number of endpoints or percentage would be beneficial. While there is a weekly update summary, it doesn’t highlight the successful deployments effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Patch Management Solution"
What do you like best about Action1?

I appreciate how Action1 handles vulnerability scanning, mitigation, and patch management more effectively than most remote monitoring and management tools' built-in patching. I like the compatibility with both PC and Mac, which ensures that I can manage a diverse range of systems seamlessly. The expansive and continually growing list of supported software is another aspect I enjoy because it simplifies my workflow by automatically detecting and managing the software without the need for manual input. I have shifted from other patch management tools, including those integrated with RMM systems, as this just works better overall. Setup is easy. It only took about five minutes, from account creation to deploying agents and starting patching operations. Finally, I will recommend Action1 to others, rating it as a 10 out of 10. What do you dislike about Action1?

I don't like that an email account changes require a new account to be made and cannot be updated from the same account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Deployment and Reporting with Action1"
What do you like best about Action1?

Honestly, a great tool. Super easy to navigate, and decent reporting.

Super easy to deploy software and upload your own. They have a large repository to select from, and do updates!

Similarly easy to deploy out scripts and update script libraries.

With the new Linux integrations, I only see good things in the future for this tool.

I use it extensively in my home lab and home machines, as well as at my day jobs on enterprise devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Not much, and definitely no deal-breakers. Reaching a bit on these, but just the headaches/thoughts I/we've had:

There are a few downsides to the vulnerability tracking, but this is comparing it to something like Tenable. However, Action1 is not a vulnerability mitigation/response tool. For the software and OS vulnerabilities it tracks, it does a fantastic job.

I think if the Windows server OS patching were more separated from the Windows endpoint OS patches, it would have better cohesiveness. -- ie, having Windows Server 2022 updates different than Windows 22h2 update just for clarity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly Manages Our IT Needs, Perfect Score!"
What do you like best about Action1?

I love how Action1 enables seamless software deployment and patching, effectively allowing me to manage these processes without any hitches. The ability to automate script deployments, either scheduled or on-demand, adds immense flexibility and power to my workflow. I get comprehensive reports, which makes the monitoring process straightforward and efficient. The fact that Action1 integrates most of the tools I need to manage my fleet into a single solution is incredibly convenient, eliminating the need for multiple platforms and simplifying my management tasks. Additionally, the initial setup of Action1 was super easy, which saved me a lot of time and trouble, allowing me to focus more on my core tasks. I have faced no issues with Action1; it perfectly fulfills my requirements. Such reliability and ease of use make it a product I would confidently recommend to others.
