## Slack Reviews
 ### 1. Simple UI, Great Integrations, and Helpful AI Features, Best for daily activities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sahithi V. | DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

simple UI makes life a lot easier and it has intergrations with almost all the tools that i use daily like Jira, gitlab so its better. Simple AI features makes calls easier if i miss any and i see you can find solutions to your problems in support channel or Q&A which makes it better for linux users. Overall Performance is great

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The app consumes lot of CPU in linux machines which makes screen sharing and working on terminal causes freeze in my laptop for that i had to change to use WEB UI. Because of this CPU issue i am not able to share screen explain the problems to my team members

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like the integrations part, i don't have to open Jira everytime and grafana alerts. i can just read everything on slack which makes easier to find the bug

 ### 2. Easy Cross-Team Q&A, DMs, and Searchable Threads—Plus Handy Zapier Automations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer S. | Activations Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It's nice to be able to ask different departments a question that everyone else can see and keep up to date with the comments. It's nice to DM colleagues instead of emailing them every time I need something. It's nice to be able to search for previous threads that can help with troubleshooting. We also have a few Zapier automations, one notifies of new leads, another of new sales, etc.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I wish it was easier to organize the channels that I'm most interested. I also wish I could separate the threads that I'm tagged in personally vs the ones that have a group tagged that I'm a part of.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's much easier to communicate with my colleagues using slack instead of email. Especially since we all work remotely.

 ### 3. Fast, Easy Communication That Keeps Our Remote Team in Sync

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandre P. | Product Manager — Squad Interactions, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It's fast and easy to use. Communication flows smoothly, channels help keep conversations well-organized, and integrations with other tools save a lot of time. As my team is partly remote it helps us a lot in our day to day work. Automation is also a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes, there are too many channels and too many discussions so I can be defocused from my work.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps me stay connected with many people across different teams, especially in a hybrid work environment. It keeps communication organized and accessible, which makes collaboration much smoother and faster than relying on emails alone. It also makes it easier to coordinate projects, share updates quickly, and stay aligned even when everyone is working from different locations.

 ### 4. Fast, Seamless Team Collaboration That Keeps Hybrid Teams Connected

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best is how fast and seamless team collaboration feels. Features like huddles for quick syncs, threads to keep conversations clean, and reactions/emojis make communication not just efficient, but also fun. It really helps our hybrid/remote team stay connected.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes there is a glitch with the notification status. Even when I manually turn off the 'Away' or 'Do Not Disturb' mode to make sure I receive alerts, the system doesn't always send them through properly, causing me to miss some updates.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of fragmented team communication and siloed information. By replacing messy email chains with a clean, intuitive UI/UX, it organizes our daily engineering and testing workflows into structured channels.

The platform's Performance is rock-solid and fast, which is crucial when we need to share logs and screenshots in real-time. What brings the highest ROI for us is the seamless Integrations with our development and QA tools; having all automated alerts and deployment notifications in one central place saves us hours of context-switching every week.

Additionally, their Onboarding process for new team members is incredibly smooth because the tool is so self-explanatory, and the built-in AI features (like thread summaries and smart search) help us catch up on missed discussions instantly. It completely transforms how our remote team collaborates.

 ### 5. Slack as a great workplace communication hub

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle H. | Staff Data Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It is a good, distributed communication platform. It is nice to be able to setup channels as needed on our own, and share that as needed with others. It also integrates with other systems effectively for messaging and connections. It is also very convenient to use both on laptops or on phones.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the learning curve can be tough. When we merged with another company, they had a hard time understanding the culture of slack threads. Conversations can also tend to get long and get bogged down and hard to follow.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really enables async communication across teams. It also helps with transparency to enable communications and discussions to happen in a public place that others can view and recommend or reference later.

 ### 6. Using SLACK to communicate, train, and share account materials

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that it is easily searchable for terms, I like that it is secure since we are in the healthcare industry, I like that you can silence notifications for the entire app, or just specific group chats and can choose the amount of time independently. The channels feature is really nice for group chatting. I like that you can bookmark and pin things for reference later and the Huddles feature.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It's very hard to figure out how to set up a group in Slack, unlike with other apps I've used. I don't like that you can only search back for 3 months unless you upgrade to the paid option or that you cannot upgrade for just yourself, but it instead prompts you to upgrade for the entire company.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easy to speak with coworkers, share training data and account information. I like that you can use it on computer or phone in case you are away from home and remember you needed to share something to the group.

 ### 7. So Easy to Set Up, Now VITAL to Our Daily Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cathy L. | Owner/Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The ease of use and set up. We've been able to integrate it with Gmail, Asana, and Canva and it's fantastic. We use it all day, every day and at this point, couldn't function without it!

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Nothing so far! We love the entire program.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had an overload of email messages between our team members about projects and it was hard to keep track of which thread had which piece of information. Now, we have one channel per client, put all of our internal conversations there, and can attach important documents/notes. Our email volume has been cut SIGNIFICANTLY. We use the bookmarks feature to link our frequently used documents for each client, so it's very easy for anyone on the team to quickly find what they need. Integrating Slack with Asana, Gmail, and Canva has also been a great time saver, too - we can easily assign and update projects within one platform.

 ### 8. slack ease teams collaboration!!!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

sometime getting so many notifications when am part of many channel even adjust my settings

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

easily communicate thru channels to the team and will keep the requirement discussions in organized way, file sharing, calls connect quickly easily and slack update in mobile is easily without interupt the exist setup

 ### 9. Reliable Daily Team Communication, Less Flexible at Scale

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ismāīl L. | Energy Engineer & Financial Data Analyst | AI & Automation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use it every day for my own company, and honestly it just works. Channels keep conversations organized, notifications are reliable, and the search actually finds old messages when I need them. It has become the default place where the team communicates.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The way channels and spaces get structured for a growing company is not very flexible. Once you have a certain number of channels for different teams and topics, reorganizing them or setting up something closer to dedicated rooms per department takes more manual effort than it should.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping the whole team in sync without relying on email. Everything from quick questions to file sharing to ongoing project discussions happens in one place, which saves a lot of time compared to scattered threads across different tools.

 ### 10. Slack’s Integrations and Slack Connect Make Collaboration Seamless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fatih Y. | Search Engine Evaluator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is its impressive ecosystem of integrations. It really feels like a true “single workspace” because it connects the tools I rely on every day, from Google Drive. Being able to manage tasks and get real-time updates without leaving the app cuts down on context switching in a meaningful way. On top of that, Slack Connect has been a game-changer, letting us collaborate securely with external partners and vendors as smoothly as if they were part of our internal team.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The biggest challenge I’ve had with Slack is keeping up with the constant stream of notifications. In a fast-paced team, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by “notification fatigue,” where important updates end up buried under casual chatter. Threads do help, but the search functionality—even with recent AI improvements—can still struggle to surface specific historical decisions in very active channels. As a result, it takes a lot of manual effort and strict “channel hygiene” to keep the workspace organized and prevent it from becoming chaotic.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack effectively solves the problem of information silos. In my previous workflow, important project decisions were often buried in long email threads or scattered across multiple apps. Slack brings those conversations together in organized channels, creating a clear “single source of truth.” For me, that means I can instantly access the context I need without digging through old messages. With the new Slack AI search, I can ask natural-language questions and quickly get verified answers pulled from past conversations and connected documents (like Google Drive), which has dramatically reduced the time I spend searching for information.

 ### 11. A reliable and easy-to-use team communication tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satyam N. | React Native Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team communication smooth and well-organized. I really like how channels help separate discussions by topic, which keeps conversations clear and easy to follow. The search feature is also a big plus—it’s simple to find older messages or shared files without wasting time. I also like the wide range of integrations, like Google Drive and Zoom, which makes it easier to manage work without constantly switching apps.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the number of notifications can feel overwhelming, especially if you are part of multiple active channels. The free version also has a limit on message history, which can be frustrating when you need to go back and check older conversations. It would be helpful if Slack offered more flexibility in customizing notification preferences and kept a longer history without upgrading.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps reduce the clutter of emails and makes team conversations faster and more transparent. Instead of waiting for replies in long email threads, I can quickly get updates or share files with my team in real time. Channels make it easy to keep discussions organized by project or topic, so nothing gets lost. It also saves time by connecting with other tools we already use, which keeps everything in one place and improves overall team productivity.

 ### 12. Synchronized Workflows, Elevated Development Productivity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I appreciate Slack's robust search functionality combined with threaded conversations, allowing me to instantly locate past decisions, files, or project history within a specific channel and saving an incredible amount of time. The use of threads helps keep ongoing discussions organized and focused, preventing important context from getting buried in busy, fast-moving channels. I also found the initial setup to be straightforward and intuitive, with a user-friendly interface that allowed my team to get up and running quickly with minimal disruption. Additionally, I would rate Slack a 9 out of 10 as it is a powerful tool for streamlining team communication and maintaining project organization.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

While Slack effectively consolidates communication and boosts productivity through searchable channels, integrations, and asynchronous tools, it faces challenges with notification overload, restrictive history access on free plans, and potential channel clutter. Improving the search precision and managing the sheer volume of alerts would significantly enhance the daily user experience.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps with communication, file sharing, and integrating tools into one searchable platform, which boosts productivity by replacing fragmented email chains and supporting asynchronous work. It centralizes information, breaks down silos, and cuts down on time wasted switching context between conversations and apps.

 ### 13. Easy-to-Use Platform for Communication and Document Sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan David H. | Digital Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Its a really easy to use platform for communications, document sharing and all around software for a company. Huddles are a great feature that makes it really easy to communicate on urgent matters with team. Also the fact that it is integrated with Google Drive and Google Calendar helps a lot.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think that the software doesnt really have much to be desired. Maybe searching for older stuff on it and I haven't really had the chance to speak with customer support. There is no clear way to do it.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps getting everything on the same place. Calls, documents and messaging handled easily and fast and conveniently. No extra hustle of having to search for stuff elsewhere it can all be found within Slack.

 ### 14. What would we do without it?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin A. | Director, Events Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Our company uses Slack every day. Slack offers several different ways to communicate. The main thing that I like about Slack is that they are constantly adding or improving features. With Slack, you can communicate over text, calls, or video calls, all in one place. Slack has also introduced AI into its platform that is helpful for searching and recaps. Slack is easy to use, easy to implement, and offers an expansive list of integrations.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The only thing that is sometimes a little hit or miss, is the call feature. There are times when the call feature does not work correctly. The call will start, but you can't hear the person on the other end. A refresh usually fixes the issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Slack:**

Slack is a great tool to communicate with your team. Now, you can also communicate with others that are not in your organization. Slack is a great way to communicate quickly and efficiently. Slack is very reliable and easy to use.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a 100% remote company. Slack helps every single team communicate better. Being a remote company, you often have to over-communicate to get the job done. With the "Connections" feature, we can now communicate directly with clients and partners.

 ### 15. Transforms Communication with Stellar Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Souptik D. | Co-Founder, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack daily for work, mostly for quick syncs, async updates, and keeping project threads organized, which really helps cut through email chaos. I find Threads extremely useful for keeping chats clean and preventing main channel chaos. The Search feature is fantastic for finding anything fast, eliminating those 'where’d we decide that?' moments. I'm impressed by the integrations with tools like Figma, Jira, and Google Docs, which allow me to work seamlessly without switching tabs or losing context. I appreciate the custom notifications and Do Not Disturb settings that let me control when I'm interrupted. Having all my tools like Figma comments, Jira tickets, and Google Drive built right into Slack makes my workflow smooth and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack’s got problems that actually matter when you use it every day. Notifications still flood you even with Do Not Disturb on. Threads disappear if you’re not watching them and good luck finding that one message you need later. The mobile app especially on Android feels slow and sometimes just stops working mid-conversation. The free plan gives you 90 days of history which is not enough for real work.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to cut through email chaos with quick syncs, async updates, and organized project threads. It replaces status meetings with channels and makes finding stuff easy, reducing email overload. Integrations with tools like Figma and Jira streamline my workflow without tab-switching.

Ease of Implementation: Slack is straightforward to set up like minimal configuration needed, and teams can start collaborating within minutes.

Customer Support: Slack offers responsive support with helpful documentation, community forums, and timely assistance for enterprise users.

 ### 16. Great UI and Effortless Slack workflows, Bots, and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinod K. | Staff Product Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The UI is good, easy to create reminders or small workflows on slack channels, easy to create slack bots. I have integrated it with DevRev and claude easily. Default reminders to leave certain channels to clean up your Slack. I also like the feature to DM yourself. I use to make quick notes, to-do list, etc

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes, I see disturbance in Slack huddles while screen sharing. I have to sheet to gmeet, zoom, etc. So, I feel huddles need to be refined.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is helping in internal and external coordination. We have also integrated customer whatsapp groups to Slack channels. It has a lot of context, so we connected it to Torvalds and claude to extract the rich insights in Slack conversations.

 ### 17. Faster Team Collaboration, But Notifications and Free History Limits Can Overwhelm

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RAJEEV K. | Freelance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team communication much easier and faster than relying on email. I especially like how conversations are organized into channels, which helps keep different topics separate and easy to follow. The search feature is also really useful when I need to track down older messages or locate shared files. Overall, it keeps work discussions in one place and makes collaboration smoother.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes Slack sends too many notifications, especially when I’m part of a lot of channels. During busy hours, it can start to feel pretty overwhelming and distracting. On top of that, the free version limits message history, which makes it harder to look back and access older conversations when I need them.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps cut down on long email threads and makes team communication feel more organized and structured. Rather than switching between several different apps, our conversations, updates, and file sharing all happen in one place. That saves time and makes it easier for the team to stay aligned on tasks, responsibilities, and ongoing project updates.

 ### 18. Streamlines Communication with Easy Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erick V. | Project Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for internal communications and file sharing in the company I work for, and also to communicate with clients. I appreciate how it streamlines communications in real time and facilitates data and information sharing. I really like the UI for its fresh look and ease of use. The workflows and integrations, such as with Jira, are particularly noteworthy. The initial setup was very easy with no blockers.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The summarize feature using AI for a channel does not cover the whole history of the chat, so it is something to improve. If there is a way to make available some plug and play solutions to connect to Jira database for any IT project, and at the same time connect to Google Workspace data so I can use like an AI agent in Slack to ask anything about a certain project and generate insights, reports and dashboards, it would be nice.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to streamline communications and facilitate data and information sharing in real time.

 ### 19. Streamlined Team Communication with Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anirban G. | Sr. GTM Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Users consistently highlight Slack’s ability to streamline communication by replacing cluttered email threads with organized, searchable channels. They point to key benefits such as seamless integration with tools like Google Drive and Trello, real-time collaboration that keeps teams aligned, and a user-friendly interface. Many also note that productivity improves thanks to practical features like pinned messages and customizable notifications, which help important updates stay easy to find and manage.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Common complaints about Slack include overwhelming notification overload, a “culture of immediacy” that can stifle deep work, and the challenge of searching for past messages—either struggling to find them or losing track of them over time. Users also frequently point to a chaotic interface, weak or confusing threading, and high system resource usage (RAM) as major pain points.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster Workflows: Teams can make decisions 37% faster and resolve issues 32% quicker.

Better Organization: The channel-based structure, organized by project, topic, or team, makes it easier to stay aligned and track progress.

Enhanced Connectivity: It creates a “see problem, fix problem” environment that supports quicker collaboration and cuts down on time wasted waiting for responses.

 ### 20. Slack Channels and Integrations Make Collaboration Fast and Searchable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sohila T. | Accounts Payable Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Channels are the standout feature—they let conversations live in clearly defined spaces instead of getting buried in endless email threads. You can jump into what’s relevant and mute the rest, which makes a big difference when teams scale.

I also appreciate how searchable everything is. Being able to quickly find a message, file, or decision from weeks ago saves a surprising amount of time.

And then there’s the integrations—tools like Google Drive, GitHub, or Zoom plug right in, so Slack becomes a kind of central hub instead of just a chat app.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

What I dislike about Slack is that it can become overwhelming fast if it’s not managed well.

Too many notifications, crowded channels, and constant messages can make it feel distracting rather than productive. It’s easy to miss important updates when everything feels urgent.

Another downside is that conversations sometimes become fragmented—important decisions get buried in threads, DMs, or random channels, which can make follow-ups confusing.

Search is useful, but depending on your plan and how your workspace is set up, message history limitations or finding very old context can be frustrating.

It can also blur work-life boundaries a bit—because communication is so instant, some teams unintentionally create pressure to always be available.

In short: great for fast collaboration, but without good organization and notification habits, it can turn into information overload.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

solves the problem of scattered communication across emails, meetings, and multiple apps by bringing conversations, files, and updates into one place.

For me, the biggest benefit is faster collaboration. Teams can communicate in real time, organize discussions by project or department, and quickly share files or feedback without long email chains. It also improves transparency because important conversations stay accessible and searchable for everyone involved.

Another major advantage is productivity. Integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and project management platforms reduce the need to constantly switch between apps, which helps workflows move more efficiently.

Overall, Slack makes teamwork more organized, responsive, and collaborative, especially for remote or fast-moving teams.

 ### 21. Real-Time Collaboration and Smooth Integrations That Keep Teams Moving

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anurudh T. | Trainee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Channel-based organization and real-time collaboration are a big advantage, because they let us respond immediately to issues, comments, discussions, or deployments. Finding old discussions, files, or shared links is also much easier than with traditional working tools. Tools like Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins connect directly into the workflow, which makes day-to-day coordination smoother. Ai intelligence make automation flow easily for the api's and etc.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Too many notifications can be distracting and overwhelming, particularly on busy channels. Important messages can also be lost under the noise of a busy conversation Managing threads can be a little confusing as well when conversations get large or fork into multiple responses.
Another disadvantage is that the desktop app can use a lot of RAM . The free tier is also restricted in terms of how much of the message history can be accessed and on advanced features, unless teams pay.
Since communication is ongoing and in real time, Slack can break immersion in work that requires deep concentration, reducing productivity. Another area that could use some improvement is file management, as it’s not always easy to track down older shared documents or uploads.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

workplace communication by bringing messaging, collaboration, file sharing, and tool usage into a single platform. Instead of wading through endless email chains or constantly switching between different applications, teams can communicate and get work done in one place.

It also reduces coordination delays by enabling real-time communication through channels, direct messages, and instant notifications. Integrations with Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins, among others, help teams stay up to date, track tasks, and monitor deployments without needing to leave Slack.

The result is stronger collaboration, faster decision-making, and clearer visibility across initiatives. For development and training teams in particular, Slack keeps conversations organized, simplifies coordination, and speeds up problem-solving—especially in remote or fast-paced environments.

 ### 22. Slack Keeps Team Communication Organized and Easy to Search

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Udhayagiri A. | Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes it easy to stay connected with my teammates through organized channels, direct messages, and threads. The channel-based setup keeps conversations focused and easy to search, so I’m not stuck digging through endless email chains to find what I need.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The biggest downside of Slack is how quickly it can become overwhelming. When I’m in multiple active channels, the nonstop stream of messages and notifications makes it difficult to stay focused on deep work. Over time, workspaces also tend to collect too many channels, and then it becomes unclear where conversations should happen—or where past decisions were actually made.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the biggest benefit is reduced context-switching — I can check project updates, share files, get approvals, and even trigger workflows without leaving one tool. It also bridges the gap between distributed teams by making asynchronous communication feel natural, so people across time zones can stay aligned without scheduling meetings for every small decision.

 ### 23. Slack Keeps Team Communication Organized, Simple, and Highly Productive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how much it improves team communication and organization without making everything feel overly complicated. We use a lot of different platforms and software in our business, and Slack has become one of the main hubs that keeps everyone connected in real time.

I especially appreciate the channel structure, since it keeps conversations neatly organized by department, project, or topic rather than getting buried in long email threads. The integrations are also extremely useful and save a lot of time throughout the day.

Overall, it’s one of the few communication platforms that genuinely supports productivity instead of turning into a distraction. It’s simple to use, reliable, and very effective for growing teams.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is that with very active teams, conversations can move so quickly that important messages occasionally get buried if you’re not constantly checking channels. Notifications can also become a little overwhelming at times, especially when managing multiple projects or departments.

There’s definitely a learning curve when first organizing channels, integrations, and workflows, but once everything is set up properly it becomes much easier to manage. Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives, especially for companies that need fast and organized communication.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack has solved a major communication and organization problem for our team. Before using it, a lot of conversations, updates, and files were scattered across emails, text messages, and different platforms, which made it difficult to keep projects moving efficiently.

Now everything is centralized in one place. Departments, projects, and conversations are organized into channels, which makes collaboration much faster and far more transparent. It has significantly reduced unnecessary meetings and long email chains while improving response time between team members.

The biggest benefit for us has been speed and efficiency. Our team is able to communicate in real time, share updates instantly, and stay aligned on projects without constantly chasing information. As a growing technology company, having that level of organization and communication has been extremely valuable.

 ### 24. Efficient Communication, Minor Notification Overload

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moises C. | Sales Business Development Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for daily team communication because it keeps conversations organized and helps the team act faster. I like how it maintains fast and organized communication through channels, and the integrations make it easy to manage work without switching between tools. Channels keep conversations focused by topics, making it easy to find information and avoid clutter. Integrations with tools like CRM, project management, and calendars pull updates directly into Slack, reducing app switching.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It can get overwhelming with too many notifications and channels. It creates constant interruptions which break the focus and slow down deep work.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to reduce email overload, speed up communication, and keep conversations organized, allowing my team to act faster. Channels and integrations help manage work efficiently without switching between tools.

 ### 25. Organized, Fast Team Communication with Powerful Search and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how effectively it organizes communication for collaborative work. I mainly use it for coordinating discussions related to development, open source contributions, and project updates. Having separate channels for topics, announcements, issues, and discussions makes communication much easier to manage compared to scattered chats or long email threads.

I also like the real-time nature of the platform because it helps speed up feedback and decision-making during collaboration. Features like threaded conversations, file sharing, integrations, and searchable message history are especially useful when revisiting technical discussions or shared resources later.

Another thing I appreciate is how well Slack supports async collaboration. Since contributors and team members may not always be online at the same time, conversations remain organized and accessible, making it easier to continue work without losing context.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is that larger workspaces with many active channels can sometimes become overwhelming. Important messages or updates may occasionally get buried under ongoing conversations, especially when multiple discussions happen simultaneously.

I also feel notification management can require careful setup to avoid distractions. Without proper organization or notification preferences, constant updates may reduce focus during deep work sessions. While Slack is powerful for communication, maintaining a clean channel structure becomes important as the workspace grows.

Another limitation is that some useful features and longer message history are restricted in the free version, which can make it harder to revisit older discussions or shared resources when working on long-term projects.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of fragmented team communication by providing a centralized platform for discussions, updates, collaboration, and file sharing. Instead of relying on disconnected chats, emails, or multiple communication tools, conversations remain organized through channels and searchable message history.

I mainly use it for coordinating development-related discussions, collaborating with contributors, sharing updates, and managing project communication more efficiently. This helps reduce delays in communication and makes it easier to track decisions, discussions, and shared resources over time.

It has benefited me by improving collaboration speed and making async communication much smoother, especially when working with people across different schedules or projects. Having conversations, files, and updates centralized also reduces context switching and helps maintain better visibility across ongoing work.

 ### 26. Easy to Use, Powerful Integrations That Streamline Work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liz B. | The Digital Crafter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I always describe Slack as being like WhatsApp but with more power. It's easy to use but the intergrations make it powerful. I can share files from our Google drive in slack or even have the comment I make in slack appear on a task in Click up so I don't have to worry about copying it over.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It can feel invasive if you don't set up the sleep function for out of hours

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are predominately remote so we can talk to each other by message or huddle.

 ### 27. Slack Keeps Team Communication Organized and Collaboration Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Agnes K. | Executive Assistant, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like how Slack keeps our team communication organized, makes collaboration fast, and brings conversations, files, and tools together in one place, so it’s easier to stay on top of everything.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I hate how easily messages can get lost.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps cut down on scattered communication, long email threads, and the delays that come with trying to track down information. For me, it keeps conversations organized, speeds up collaboration, and makes it easier to find messages, files, and updates all in one place.

 ### 28. Super Useful Team Communication Tool with Powerful Integrations Across Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leandro L. | CIO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Super useful tool for communication between teams.

Allows many integrations (webhooks, apps, N8N, scripts, AI) that helps many systems to keep all the notifications in one place.

Gives the ability to use it on the web, on your computer, on your phone.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I dislike the search funtionality, it's not easy to search / navigate through searches. There should be a more powerful search tool.

I also dislike that it hides channels based on your activity, and even if you turn that functionality off, it still hides some channels.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's like a bag of notifications, we use it to communicate between teams, between different companies, to receive system notifications, other integration messages. The benefit is that I check one place only.

 ### 29. Organized Team Communication and Smooth Integrations That Streamline Workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie S. | Sales Development Representative, Business Supplies and Equipment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how it keeps all team communication organized in one place through channels, making collaboration much easier. It also integrates smoothly with many tools, which helps streamline workflows. Overall, it reduces email clutter and makes quick communication with teams very efficient.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is that too many notifications and channels can sometimes feel overwhelming. It can also be easy to miss important messages when conversations move quickly. Additionally, the search and message history can be limited depending on the plan. Also there is no option to change the Email on an existing profile. Very Sad

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication by bringing team messages, files, and updates into one organized platform. This makes it easier to collaborate quickly, stay aligned with the team, and reduce the need for long email threads. As a result, it saves time and helps work move faster and more efficiently.

 ### 30. Simplifies Team Communication by Organizing Tasks into Threads

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ubed K. | Operations associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Threads makes it easy to group the different tasks we work on as a team into threads for communication. By highlighting the person’s name, it’s easier for instructions to flow, which is extremely valuable compared to several emails going back and forth with the whole team in CC.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It’s very difficult to reply within a conversation thread. The UI isn’t very user-friendly, and it makes following and responding to messages harder than it should be.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It replaces several emails and saves time because I don’t have to read through multiple messages where I’m copied in. The communication is direct and to the point. It’s also fast and easy to access on my phone.

 ### 31. Slack AI Makes Huddles and Channel Recaps Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. Akshay M. | Annotator, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack’s AI is really helpful. I can go through huddles and transcripts, and the AI automatically takes notes during huddles and summarises them. If I miss something in a channel, the AI can summarise everything and give me an instant recap of the discussion.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I had to manage the notifications on my own because, during work hours, channel mentions kept bothering me and I was constantly getting interrupted. It would be better if it were easier to understand the notification settings and manage them.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If we’re in a channel discussing something and I join late, I can use the AI Agent to summarise the discussion so I understand what’s going on. It also helps during the channel conversations AI notes by converting them into a transcript. Sometimes I need proof of what was discussed, so I can ask the AI what the conversation was about regarding the website issue last week. The AI understands what I mean and gives me the details of that discussion, which is very beneficial for me.

 ### 32. Seamless Team Communication and Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how effectively it brings communication, collaboration, and transparency together in one place. Rather than relying on long email chains, Slack allows teams to organize conversations by project, department, or topic, making it much easier to find information and stay aligned.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

sometimes create information overload. With multiple channels, direct messages, and notifications happening simultaneously, it can be difficult to determine which messages require immediate attention and which can wait. This can occasionally lead to interruptions that impact focus and productivity

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

creates a centralized hub where conversations, files, updates, and decisions are easily accessible. It reduces the time spent searching for information, improves collaboration across departments, and enables faster problem-solving. As someone who works closely with multiple teams, I benefit from having greater visibility into projects, quicker access to stakeholders, and the ability to keep work moving without relying on lengthy email chains or unnecessary meetings

 ### 33. Streamlined Team Collaboration with Flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Atharva P. | Cloud BI Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like how Slack enables easy team communication and organized channels, which makes day-to-day work much smoother. Quick collaboration through Slack centralizes communication across teams and clients, reducing email dependency and enabling faster decision-making and collaboration. I also appreciate Slack's better integration support and faster performance compared to Microsoft Teams, along with its more intuitive channel-based communication model. Setting it up is quite easy, allowing teams to quickly configure integrations and permissions, even though workflows for larger organizations can take some effort.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Too many notifications can be distracting. Unimportant messages tend to get lost in busy channels.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack makes collaboration efficient for day-to-day work. It centralizes communication across teams and clients, reduces email dependency, and enables faster decision-making and collaboration.

 ### 34. Simple, Organized Team Communication with Powerful Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Preticia E. | Operations Team Lead, Real Estate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is a simple team communication app. It keeps all my communication with my organization very organized and simple. We can create channels with only the people that we need in them. It has threads within a message, where it keeps all the communication very structured. Also, it has many features like Huddle for a quick call, screen share while on call, etc.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Nothing that has come across my experience with Slack.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For communications via email, it seems very scattered and sometimes very difficult to find a conversation. But with Slack, it is very easy to communicate with the team or with anyone in the organization. It also has reminders to keep us on top of certain messages or tasks for us to come back to and look into them, which helps me to prioritize tasks for my day. Also, communication via channels keeps communication to a certain topic within that channel and is easy to navigate through them. So in a way, it keeps me on top of all the communication.

 ### 35. Effortless Team Communication, But Integration Glitches

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren B. | Director of Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that Slack is easy to use and simple, allowing me to get started right away. The new Slack bot helps me stay organized by summarizing what happened in the channel, which is really useful if I've been away or on PTO. It's fun and simple to use, with cool features like emojis. Slackbot is great for me as a manager because it provides a summary of activities in channels, saving me time from having to monitor them closely. I appreciate how it helps maintain high-quality working relationships, even though we're a remote-first company with team members in multiple time zones.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Some of the integrations aren't super great. It's great with Google Workspace, but the Jira integration is pretty standard. You get an alert about it, and I'm not really sure how helpful that is. It's nice that it talks to everything, but beyond just an alert, I'm not really sure what we're getting from some of the integrations.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps us manage projects by organizing tasks, tracking questions, and pinning documents in channels. It supports asynchronous collaboration across time zones, fostering high-quality remote work relationships.

 ### 36. Slack Keeps Teams Aligned with Fast, Searchable Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Channels as shared context: projects and teams have one central place to capture decisions, share updates, and ask quick questions, which means less email and fewer meetings.

Fast async collaboration: threads and mentions make conversations easy to follow and help cut down on “drive-by” interruptions.

Integrations that actually save time: Jira/GitHub/Calendar alerts, along with automations (Workflows, simple bots), reduce manual follow-ups and keep work moving.

Search is a lifesaver: it’s fast to pull up past decisions, links, and files, and it’s especially useful when onboarding someone new.

Huddles for quick alignment: perfect for a 5-minute sync without needing to schedule a full meeting.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Notification overload (UI/UX): it’s easy to end up with too many pings across channels, threads, and mentions. The result is constant context switching and “always-on” fatigue. Better defaults, along with smarter notification recommendations, would make this easier to manage.

Information gets lost over time: Slack is great for speed, but decisions and key takeaways can disappear inside long threads. Without strong habits (pinning, canvases/docs, and linking back to a source of truth), important context becomes difficult to track down later.

Integrations can create noise: Jira/GitHub bots are useful, but if they aren’t tuned, they can spam channels and drown out the signal. We’d like more granular controls, plus better digest options enabled by default.

Performance with heavy workspaces: it’s generally solid, but very large workspaces can feel slower—especially for search, loading older messages, and switching channels—particularly on older laptops.

Pricing at scale (ROI still good, but…): once you need enterprise features, the per-seat cost adds up quickly. It can be hard to justify for occasional users who only need light access.

Support/admin complexity: rollout is straightforward, but governance at scale is harder (channel sprawl, permissions, guest access, retention policies). Better built-in tooling for channel lifecycle management—ownership, archiving, and cleanup—would be a big improvement.

AI/Intelligence needs more control: summaries and catch-up features are helpful, but we’d want clearer admin controls, more transparency about what content is included, and more consistent quality across languages and technical conversations.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Slack, a lot of our internal communication was stuck in long email threads and recurring meetings: questions took hours to answer, decisions were hard to track, and coordinating across teams created a lot of overhead. Now, things are much smoother.

We used to struggle with slow back-and-forth, but now we can resolve questions in minutes in the right channels, which speeds up execution and reduces blockers. We used to struggle with cross-team alignment, but now each project has a shared space (channels) where updates, decisions, links, and stakeholders are centralized, so we need fewer sync meetings. We used to struggle with manual follow-ups, but now integrations push updates automatically (Jira/GitHub/incidents/alerts), keeping everyone informed without having to chase people.

We also used to struggle with onboarding context, but now search makes history accessible (past discussions, decisions, files). That reduces repeated questions and helps new joiners ramp faster. Finally, we used to struggle with quick alignment, but now huddles handle fast syncs without scheduling, which saves time and helps us keep momentum.

 ### 37. Revolutionized Our Communication and Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eddy N. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really appreciate how Slack is a replacement for emails, which aren't so efficient. It provides instant messaging that offers more flexibility. I'm able to perform mainly textual messages, but also make calls, do screen shares, and share files. These features are especially useful since I can start a call right away with the relevant people following the channel and screen sharing helps with troubleshooting issues or presenting things in the product. File sharing on Slack is easy with drag and drop into the Slack window, and it keeps the files accessible for a long period. Slack is way easier to use than Google Chat, it integrates better into the system and allows us more flexibility. Also, feedback on the initial setup was that it was pretty much straightforward, which is great.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think sometimes it gets very complex to find all of the messages that really involve me. Especially in our organization where you have a bunch of different channels and bunch of different threads about different things. It's easy to miss a message that involves or requires my attention. But since we have DMs and activity and threads and messages, everything becomes slightly more complex to manage. So you don't see everything in one place, but it's broken into different areas. So sometimes messages go without being seen.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for communicating with different stakeholders in my company and outside it. It's a replacement for inefficient emails, offering more flexibility with instant messaging, calls, screen sharing, and file sharing.

 ### 38. Fast, Organized Team Communication with Powerful Search and Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chirodip L. | AI Engineer II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about it is how it keeps communication fast, organized, and collaborative without ever feeling overwhelming. The channel-based structure makes it simple to separate conversations by team, project, or topic, and the integrations with tools like Google Drive, Jira, and GitHub help streamline day-to-day workflows. I also really appreciate the strong search functionality and quick file sharing, which save a lot of time when I need to revisit past discussions or track down specific information.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about it is that important messages can easily get buried in busy channels, especially on large teams with constant notifications. It can also feel overwhelming at times to keep up with multiple conversations happening across channels and direct messages. On top of that, the free version’s message history limitations make it harder to go back to older discussions or find shared files when I need them.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses the problem of fragmented workplace communication by combining messaging, collaboration, file sharing, and app integrations in one centralized platform. Rather than relying on long email threads or constantly switching between different tools, teams can communicate in real time and stay aligned more easily. For me, this has improved collaboration, shortened response times, and made it simpler to track project updates, share knowledge, and coordinate work across teams.

 ### 39. A Vital Business Instant Messaging Solution that Has a Flexible, Visual and Approachable Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abel K. | Real Estate Development Manager, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack has an approachable, visual, and conversational user interface that streamlines team communication and collaboration.
We can share project updates, progress, and other important project details through its channel-based setup, which helps improve transparency across the team.
I like Slack because it’s easy to tailor the dashboard and features to fit my team’s needs.

It’s an innovative business instant-messaging solution that supports our workflows by letting us share ideas and brainstorm in one centralized place.
I also feel confident using it for both personal and company-sensitive information, since it offers advanced, reliable security capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

At times, your focus when working may get disrupted when using this business instant messaging solution due to the constant notifications.
The search functionality of Slack is not effective.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is a vital business instant messaging tool for our company because it optimizes our workspace and helps us work as a united, up-to-date team.
It supports extensive app integrations, which enhance our productivity and streamline our workflows.
It’s also a user-friendly tool that keeps our conversations organized by project, making day-to-day work easier for us.
On top of that, its advanced AI-enhanced features provide dependable conversation summaries.

 ### 40. Intuitive and Collaborative, Minor Setting Glitch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria F. | Business Development Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like how easy Slack is to use. It's very similar to any messaging tool that we use for personal usage, so it's not really anything you need to learn to get used to. I find the integration with outside teams helpful, especially being able to invite them into one Slack channel. Creating internal Slack channels is also very helpful because the whole team gets the message instead of sending messages individually. The initial setup of Slack was very easy, especially the mobile application, which is very similar to apps like WhatsApp and iMessage, making it very simple to use.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes when I change settings for the time zone not to be updated automatically, it still does that. I believe this might be because I have it on several devices like my phone, laptop, and tab. I'm not sure why, but sometimes it just automatically changes the time zone.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack lets me reach anyone in the company, even if I don’t have their contact details. Creating channels is helpful for communicating with the whole team at once, avoiding individual messages.

 ### 41. Central Hub for Team Collaboration and Client Interaction

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Candy N. | Global Digital Marketing Expert, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I enjoy the social aspect of communicating with colleagues and like having all my client channels and teams together in one place within Slack, so we can collaborate effectively. I also like that you can integrate apps for workflows and automation, which is useful for quickly updating tasks and collecting data. Slack makes it easier to reach people and get information quickly, and I found the initial setup of Slack to be very easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I would love to face more integration options and improved built on AI that doesn’t come at extra costs.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to communicate with my company and clients, share updates, and collaborate. It's easier to reach people, gather information, and integrate apps for workflows. It streamlines communication, automates tasks, and helps with data collection.

 ### 42. Powerful Communication and Workflow Management Tool for Enterprise Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chaitanya S. | Catalog Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how effectively it streamlines team communication and collaboration. The channel-based structure keeps conversations clearly organized by project or topic, making it easier to track discussions and cutting down on cluttered email threads. I also really appreciate the strong search feature, because it helps me quickly find past messages, shared files, and important updates whenever I need them. In addition, the seamless integrations with tools like Google Drive, Jira, GitHub, and Zoom make workflow management smoother by bringing key work and related conversations into one place. Overall, Slack helps boost productivity, improves communication transparency, and supports real-time collaboration in a very user-friendly way.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is how overwhelming the notifications can become, especially in large teams with many active channels. With constant updates coming in, important messages can sometimes get buried, which makes it harder to stay focused. The search feature is helpful overall, but tracking down very old conversations or specific files can still take a while when there’s a high volume of communication. On top of that, Slack can use a significant amount of system memory when it’s been running for long periods, which may impact performance on lower-end devices. Even with these drawbacks, it’s still a highly effective collaboration tool overall.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From my testing perspective, Slack has been especially valuable for improving coordination during regression cycles, production deployments, and critical issue validation. Its integrations with tools like Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, TestRail, and monitoring platforms provide instant notifications for build failures, bug updates, deployment status, and test execution results directly in the relevant channels. This supports faster decision-making and quicker response times when situations are high priority. The search functionality is also extremely helpful for tracing historical discussions, supporting root-cause analysis, and referencing past production issues or testing decisions without having to rely on manual documentation.

Another major benefit is the efficiency it brings to remote and hybrid work. Team members across different time zones can stay aligned through organized discussions, shared files, pinned documentation, and threaded conversations. In my experience, it has strengthened collaboration, reduced communication gaps, and improved overall productivity across testing and release management processes. While managing notifications can sometimes be challenging in very active workspaces, Slack remains one of the most reliable and effective collaboration platforms I’ve used in my professional work in software testing and quality assurance.

 ### 43. An absolute must for a company working remotely

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is an absolute must for most companies. It allows for quick communication, easy file sharing (even large video files!), and disbursement of information. You can set up channels based on specific groups, which makes it easy to share information with just those needed. Pin files or messages to the channel, making it easy to find them later. There is an awesome feature where you can "remind me later" and then set a time when you want Slack to remind you about it. Or "save for later" where you can take messages and use them to create a to-do list that can be marked complete when done. You can even use different Slack accounts and easily navigate between the accounts to keep items separated. i.e. an internal Slack account with your company and another account with other companies that you do business with (clients, vendors, etc.) You can DM a specific person or smaller team. And of course, there is the integration of gifs, emoticons, photos etc which help keep communication fun! Our agency uses this everyday, all day.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Oftentimes communication can move very quickly if you have a large number of people in a channel. Messages could get easily lost in the conversation. However, with the new integrations of the save for later and remind me, this is helping to manage that issue.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication! Being that we have employees around the globe and working from home, this makes communication so easy. File sharing is quick and easy. Even large files are sent without compression, clogging inboxes or exceeding file size limits. Plus, with the integration features with Google Drive, Fellow, Asana it allows us to easily link to tasks, drives, files and more with a nice preview function. If there is an issue where not everyone in the group has access to the file, it will let you know and easily adjust permissions in Slack.

 ### 44. Integrative Powerhouse with Room for Search Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan T. | Senior Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like the fact Slack has automations and integrations that make it a much more powerful tool. It really saves a lot of time when I can insert an emoji, for example, and get an automation in place so that it opens a Notion board and creates something in there. Same goes for tickets—it's connected automatically with HubSpot. So any new ticket that comes in that's under my name will notify me on the go. We work with cloud, Notion, and HubSpot, and they are all integrated into Slack, which makes it much more powerful.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the searching, it's not so great. I wish it would be easier to find exactly what you're looking for.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps me get responses on the fly, review past experiences, and integrates with tools like HubSpot and Notion. Its automations and integrations save time by handling notifications and tasks automatically, making communication efficient.

 ### 45. Effortless Team Communication, Highly Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oluwabusayo A. | Accounting Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like using Slack for work because I can keep in contact with my colleagues and everyone in my organization. I appreciate the interface where everything is just in one place, allowing me to easily switch from community to individual DMs. I like that everything is visible, and I can always find what I'm looking for, including apps and emojis. Recording and sending video messages is a great feature because it helps me stay in touch with my colleagues and lighten up the day. The interface design is also pleasing, especially since it features purple, my favorite color. Once logged in, using Slack is very easy, and everything is open and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It took me a while to get used to the thread, reply with thread, or reply to a message. Because most times when I want to reply to messages, I send things to the whole channel instead of thread. Now I've gotten the hang of it.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of consolidating everything in one place, making it easy to switch between community and individual DMs.

 ### 46. Effortless Team Communication with Seamless Mobile Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nora A. | Senior Graphic Designer, Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I think the UI of Slack is very easy to use, and I can use it on my phone at the same time, which is really helpful. I find it very easy to onboard and use.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I would love to be able to add icons to my channels or chats in Slack so I can find them more easily. Now I only have a lock icon, which sometimes isn't the best.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for easy communication between my teammates.

 ### 47. Great Collaboration and Dark Mode, But Bot Setup and Automation APIs Need Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It’s easy to connect with team members and stay up to date on project deliverables. I also really love the dark mode feature. That said, setting up a bot is pretty difficult, and there’s no REST API available for automation. Because of that, it becomes a painful process to create a new bot, set up permissions, and then wait for approval from Slack admins, which feels tedious. Performance-wise, it’s lightweight and quick, and it doesn’t consume much RAM. I haven’t fully tried the new Slack AI yet, but from my initial testing it seems to search for data much better than the conventional search, so I’m excited to use it more.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There are no REST APIs exposed for users or developers to consume, which makes automation through code much harder. The workflows also don’t offer many vital integrations, and it becomes difficult to get things approved. It would be much better if an ordinary user had more control over their account through REST APIs and PATs, instead of having to go the route of creating a bot.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps teammates connect more quickly. Instead of calling someone for every single question, they can just send a message, and whenever the other person gets a chance, they respond. It’s also useful to use workflows and bots to query containers running in a cluster and post the output directly in chat, so not every user has to manually go into the cluster and execute commands.

 ### 48. Effortless Team Communication with Intuitive Slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunil J. | Business Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack to connect with my team members and my AI agent for cold outreach, and I find it facilitates effective communication and makes sharing files easy. I appreciate Slack’s beginner-friendly design and how it offers both a free plan and an affordable paid plan for startups. The initial setup was super simple for our small team. We've been using Slack for the past five years, and it has met our needs well.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It sometimes feels too cluttered. Minimalistic options could make the user experience great. It needs to have basic features for beginner users and should have an advanced option where people could explore more features.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to connect with my team and an AI agent. It effectively solves communication issues, makes file sharing easy, and joining groups is straightforward.

 ### 49. Lightweight Yet Powerful: Slack Keeps Teams Organized with Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saunak D. | Consultant, Consulting, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how it manages to feel both lightweight and powerful at the same time. The interface is clean and intuitive, so you don’t get bogged down in clutter, but beneath that simplicity there’s a ton of flexibility. For example, the ability to create channels for different projects or teams keeps conversations organized and prevents the chaos of endless email threads.

Another standout is the integrations. Slack connects seamlessly with tools like Google Drive, Trello, and Zoom, which means you can stay in one workspace without constantly switching tabs. It genuinely reduces friction in daily workflows.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

What I dislike about Slack is that it can become overwhelming if your team isn’t disciplined about how they use it. The constant stream of notifications can make it hard to focus, especially when multiple channels are buzzing at once. Even with customization options, it sometimes feels like you’re fighting against distraction rather than working with a productivity tool.

Another pain point is thread management. While threads are meant to keep conversations organized, they often get buried or ignored, leading to fragmented discussions. It’s easy to miss important context if people don’t reply in the right place.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is solving the problem of scattered, inefficient communication by bringing everything into one organized space, and that directly benefits me in several ways. Instead of drowning in endless email chains or juggling multiple apps, Slack provides real-time communication that speeds up collaboration and decision-making. Its channel organization keeps conversations focused and prevents irrelevant noise from cluttering my workflow. The seamless integrations with tools I already use mean I don’t waste time switching between platforms, while the strong knowledge retention ensures that files, discussions, and decisions are searchable and preserved for future reference. Most importantly, Slack makes remote collaboration feel natural, helping distributed teams stay connected and engaged. Altogether, it transforms communication from a source of frustration into a streamlined, productive, and even enjoyable part of work

 ### 50. Effortless Team Communication, Needs Better File Handling

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu N. | Social media manager, Consumer Goods, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that Slack makes it unnecessary for me to share my personal WhatsApp number with colleagues. I also appreciate the cloud storage, as it means I can access even files from five years ago easily. It makes everything much more conveniently located in one place rather than spread across various apps and devices. This feature makes it easy to quickly access old files, share large media, and keep working without the hassle of managing local storage or manual file transfers. The initial setup was quite easy too, just needing to set up an organization, create channels, and invite people.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

If I have got multiple files from someone, I have to download each one separately. It has a download all button, but that never works. It should work properly. If a person sent me 5 videos, I want them to be downloaded together at the click of a button.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for work interactions and sharing content, avoiding sharing my personal number. It keeps everything in one place with cloud storage, making it easy to access old files and share large media without worrying about storage.
