What I dislike most about Granola is that I can’t run it on two parallel meetings on the same laptop, so I have to pick one and lose the other. To start, the current pricing model can feel a bit steep for individual contributors or freelancers who only need the advanced features from time to time, since much of the best functionality is gated behind the higher tiers. On the integrations front, it exports smoothly to Notion and Slack, but I’d love to see more native options—especially two-way sync—for a wider range of enterprise CRMs or task-management tools. On the AI/intelligence side, it handles standard discussions brilliantly, yet it can occasionally stumble when conversations include heavy technical jargon, lots of acronyms, or fast-paced multi-speaker overlap. In those cases, I usually need to do a quick manual pass to clean up the AI-enhanced gray text. Lastly, because it operates locally at the system level for audio capture, the initial onboarding and permission setup (for example, granting screen and audio recording access on macOS) can sometimes trip up less technical users. I like that it works behind the scenes without showing as a participant in meetings and also works on your phone. Everyone knows meetings are being transcribed now, there is no need to take up a box on the screen. We'd rather see each other's faces. This saves me a lot of time writing meeting follow up emails to the team and lets me stay in the meeting instead of trying to write notes, which takes me out of the conversation. Granola is not intrusive like many other AI notetakers, as it doesn't need to show up as an entity in your meeting. It also automatically joins and does its thing in the background, making it super user-friendly. The notes are where Granola really shines. Other notetakers have provided me with confused messes that don't even accurately sum up the conversation. That's never a problem with Granola. The UI is easy for anyone in the company to use. Integrations with Claude and GSuite make it feel like a seamless part of our everyday workflow. Support is responsive whenever we have questions or run into issues, and performance and uptime have been exceptional. I also appreciate being able to choose which AI model to use, since it gives us the flexibility to work with what we’re most comfortable with. Their built-in AI chat isn't the best in the world. I use it mostly to change the format of notes or create a more detailed or summarized version of the output.
