"n8n Makes API Integrations and AI Workflows Effortless"
What do you like best about n8n?

With n8n you can integrate pretty much any tool if there's an API available for it, I've integrated mutliple tools using it... for which I would've had to wait on developers otherwise.

Plus, you can connect multiple AI Models, and kind of bring in AI Agents in workflow, be it for research or task executions like Posting on Social Media, Newsletters etc.

And, you can find tons of workflow templates on their marketplace (plus, n8n being widely known, you can find tons of templates that can be implemented in your business e.g. AI Newsletter Creation, Automated Outreach, Social Media Posting etc.)

Best part, they also have a community edition that you can host on your server (when you only pay for server cost) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

Nothing that I can think of at the moment for this if we exclude learning it takes a bit of time, and you need to know a bit of API things to make the most out of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unmatched Flexibility and Power for Advanced Workflow Automation"
What do you like best about n8n?

As someone building flows to streamline marketing, sales, and renewal processes, n8n is liked mainly for its flexibility and control. It allows you to design highly customized workflows that go beyond basic triggers and actions, which is especially useful when dealing with complex lead journeys, CRM logic, or renewal reminders tied to usage or contract data. The ability to self-host, use JavaScript for custom logic, and connect deeply with tools like CRMs, email platforms, databases, and internal systems makes it cost-effective and powerful for scaling automation without being locked into rigid pricing tiers or templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

n8n can feel heavy and technical, particularly for non-technical marketing or sales teams. The learning curve is steeper, as you often need to understand JSON structures, APIs, and error handling to build reliable flows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rock-Solid Automation Platform with Seamless Upgrades and Flexibility"
What do you like best about n8n?

n8n stands out as one of the most dependable automation platforms I have worked with. Building workflows is simple, thanks to its intuitive user interface, and the self-hosting experience is robust. I operate it on Docker Swarm with several replicas and rolling updates, and upgrades have consistently gone smoothly with almost no downtime—even as AI agents and workflows continued to run. It offers an excellent combination of flexibility, with features like code nodes and integrations, and the stability needed for production environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

When dealing with complex workflows, debugging remains a time-consuming process. Tracing data as it moves through numerous nodes or runs is not always straightforward, and the error messages provided are often too generic to be truly helpful. Additionally, managing large workflows—such as handling versioning, reusing subflows, and maintaining readability—could use further refinement. Some of the newer AI-related features and nodes also seem less mature, often requiring additional tuning and the implementation of extra guardrails before they are ready for production use. "Affordable, Powerful Automation with Full Control via Self-Hosted n8n"
What do you like best about n8n?

n8n is an incredibly affordable automation tool with powerful capabilities. The self-deployment option on Hostinger Cloud is cost-effective and gives you complete control. The visual workflow builder is intuitive, and it supports extensive integrations. Great tool for automation-heavy projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

The main drawback is the steep learning curve. Advanced workflow configuration requires understanding of JavaScript and data structures. Documentation could be more comprehensive for beginners. Setup and deployment, while affordable, demands technical knowledge that might intimidate non-technical users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Newbie's Taste of N8N - Effortless Workflow Creation with Powerful Integrations"
What do you like best about n8n?

I like being able to drag and drop the nodes and modules without coding. You need to know how and where to insert the API's but workflows can be completed in a short time.

My membership expires in 2 days, and I wish I had the money to try another month to really get into it. So many things came up and I just didn't get the amount of time I wanted to dig in.

I also believe that it would be wise and beneficial to know this platform, regardless of what direction AI takes. It pays to know the inner workings of everything so it would be easier to troubleshoot.

The other thing is there are a multitude of integrations and ways to implement with ease. You could build just about anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

It would be great if you could switch back to the instance easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"“From Zero to Advanced Automation — Thanks to n8n”"
What do you like best about n8n?

What I like most about n8n is that it has become a true all-in-one powerhouse for everything I need. It’s the first platform that pushed me to learn things I never imagined I’d be doing — from web scraping, to automation, to building AI-driven workflows, to integrating modern tools and APIs.

Before n8n, I never thought I would be diving into things like scraping competitor websites, orchestrating multi-agent AI systems, connecting Twilio, Gmail, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Motorcentral, and more — all inside a single workflow. n8n didn’t just make me automate tasks; it literally upskilled me.

It’s honestly the best investment I’ve made in years. One platform taught me automation logic, data manipulation, workflow architecture, API integration, and now AI orchestration. Everything in one place, everything visual, everything powerful.

n8n didn’t just save time — it transformed how I work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

The main challenge with n8n is that if you add the wrong node or configure something incorrectly—especially in loops or scraping workflows—it can easily trigger a large number of executions without warning. This can become costly very fast.

For example, when I was testing Firecrawl, one small configuration issue caused me to use up my entire monthly credit allocation in just two days, even though the workflow still wasn’t working. I really wish n8n had stronger built-in warnings or restrictions when an execution is about to run many times or consume external API credits.

Thankfully the Firecrawl team was very kind and refunded my 3000 credits, but having better cost-control safeguards inside n8n would help prevent situations like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful and easy to use, with practical examples,"
What do you like best about n8n?

This tool is both user-friendly and highly powerful. I really like that it allows you to test either the whole flow or just an individual node, depending on your needs. Additionally, there are plenty of practical and easy-to-follow examples provided, which makes getting started much simpler. No need to know how to code, but if you know it, it is better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

the runs for execution or testing. When you start getting to know the tool, many runs are consumed. The 15-day trial period is barely enough to see what it's about. In the debugging part, it's easy to get lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Open Source Automation at Its Best with n8n"
What do you like best about n8n?

What I like most about n8n is that it is open source. I use n8n with self-hosting, and I really enjoy working with it.

The AI agent sets it apart from platforms like make.com or zapier.com.

I have n8n running on both Hostinger and AWS, and in both environments, it operates smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

With the n8n Plan, it becomes much more expensive if you don't self-host n8n. This is a significant drawback of the platform. However, since I use a self-hosted setup, I haven't encountered this issue so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Way more good than bad."
What do you like best about n8n?

This is a great low-code backend tool. I love that I can build fast. Way faster than actually setting up my own backend, especially for smaller projects.

The baked in AI assistant is also decent. I am able to understand and fix issues using that provided that they are some basic issues. This makes sure that I don't get stuck on smaller issues for too long.

Integrating the workflows with the frontend via the webhook URL is also very easy. This is a really great tool for startup founders that don't have a lot of experience with programming and wish to test out a couple features using AI for the heavy lifting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

Doing small things like for example validating some data input is harder to do on the GUI than on my actual code editor (because of AI).

If I wanted to validate a form input at the backend in cursor, I'll just paste the code for the form at the FE (or even a screenshot) and ask it to add zod validation and it does that decently well, a cursory glance is enough to check that everything is good. Getting data from earlier nodes via the gui (drag and drop) is not that efficient.

If there was one thing that I could ask the n8n devs to add is autocomplete in the code nodes or the http call nodes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Workflows With Powerful Customization in n8n"
What do you like best about n8n?

What I like best about n8n is the flexibility it gives compared to most no-code tools. You’re not locked into rigid templates — you can start simple and then go as deep and custom as you want. The visual workflow builder is easy to understand, but at the same time you can add logic, conditions, and even custom code when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about n8n?

One thing I dislike is that there’s a bit of a learning curve if you’re coming from very simple no-code tools. To really unlock n8n’s power, you need some understanding of logic, data structures, and APIs, which can feel intimidating at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
