**What do you like best about Geekbot?**

I love that it's an easy way to share updates with a team, love that I get reminded to share my updates instead of having to add to my to do list or remember yet another thing.

**What do you dislike about Geekbot?**

I find the actual managing of the Geekbot to be not so user friendly, it can be glitchy at times and will often times not show up when it says it will, etc.

**What problems is Geekbot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easy to share team wide updates in Slack without needing to set another reminder for yourself to check in or share.

**What do you like best about Geekbot?**

It's nice having automated standups that can be scheduled in advance. It saves a little bit of extra time each session, which adds up.

**What do you dislike about Geekbot?**

One thing I've struggled with is easily logging into Geekbot. I'm prompted to log in again each time, and sometimes after I log in I land on a broken link.

**What problems is Geekbot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Geekbot saves my team from holding weekly meetings that could simply be emails or Slack messages instead.

**What do you like best about Geekbot?**

Automated team standups via slack are amazing. When our team moved to 100% work from home we were having a standup meeting daily which ate 30 minutes in everyone's calendars. Using geekbot it's easy to drop that down to 2-3 meetings a week and just an automated series of questions which everyone sees the answers to.

It allows us to keep up with how everyone is doing day to day and also makes everyone reflect on their daily tasks, but without the dedicated calendar space.

**What do you dislike about Geekbot?**

If/when we go back to working in the office the platform won't be as useful. Not sure how it will add value without being remote. Luckily it's a monthly bill so not a long lock-in period.

Adding more a few months later - As we got more used to working from home and hybrid, Geekbot has lost its usefulness. I need to get a temperature check on the team less and less, and most responses do not get looked at and many people skip the survey. I think going forward it will be more suitable for reminders on reporting, etc. we need for the business.

**Recommendations to others considering Geekbot:**

Give it a try for sure if you're a remote team using Slack. There is a free trial as well so it's not a high cost to get stood up, and you can build a daily standup in under 30 minutes. By the next day, you can be automating some meetings or information gathering. Look for work from home blog posts that mention Geekbot for some ideas of what you can build on the platform; that's how I initially learned about the platform.

As you mature in work from home, you may find other uses for Geekbot in terms of collecting employee feedback once a month or any important weekly reporting data you may want.

**What problems is Geekbot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving more time back to everyone working from home by automating daily standups and requests for help inside Slack. It's nice that it is not a standalone platform and just integrates into where we all are already.

**What do you like best about Geekbot?**

It promptly messages me for the daily sprint update at the specified time. Allows to set the what questions to ask. Customer support on their website is pretty responsive. 

**What do you dislike about Geekbot?**

The application sometimes lags a lot and delays by minutes. There is no quick support from the chat interface via slack. You have to go to their site, but chat is responsive. It does not provide a helpful UX on how to re-edit messages. It does not seem to support sending GIFs either. 

**Recommendations to others considering Geekbot:**

it is a good idea to set notification alerts so you won't be constantly annoyed by it asking for an update.

**What problems is Geekbot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Way to share daily sprint with the team. We are able to track the daily update for each teammate through our team channel where geekbot posts the updates.

**What do you like best about Geekbot?**

It's very easy to use overall. Makes it quicker to be able to do things and work faster at work. Before geekbot I wasn't able to really get a lot of things done as far as what it actually helps with, now because of how easy it all it is, i'm able to get a lot of work done more so than in other days. 

**What do you dislike about Geekbot?**

I dislike that I haven't yet been able to learn everything there us to know about it. Don;t have much training and the help portion of the bot isn't very helpful. There also isn't really a lot i know about the program yet. Mainly because im not an admin so I can only use certain parts of it. 

**Recommendations to others considering Geekbot:**

I would recommend maybe looking around a little bit more to see what other bots are out there. Do your research before picking this one. 

**What problems is Geekbot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to solve problems without leaving your desk or bothering other coworkers. You can always put a dollar amount on your time and what geekbot has done is make our time more valuable.
