## Storylane Reviews
  ### 1. Screen-by-Screen Demos Made Easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felipe R. | Senior CX Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

The screen by screen approach is really cool, as well as the short videos that are shown.

The AI is really useful for the writing and have ideas for the steps in the process, and even good suggestions on how to frame the demo and the steps. That was really useful.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Not sure if it was a bug or the tool is intended this way, but once I created a GIF for a demo I completed, if I edited the steps or the wording, save and confirm, I would only be able to download the first GIF and it would not be updated. This was really frustrating because making a single mistake during the first save means that I had to record the demo once again from scratch.

It was not easy to find help within the platform for this, but if everything is done correctly the tool is helpful.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our platform has a lot of steps, screens, and processes that our agents or our customers need to complete depending on their request or what they need.

We create SOPs or articles with guidance where we leverage Screenshots today. Using Storylane is a great way to put all this screenshots together and even show the complete process in a cleaner way making the article easy to read and follow.

  ### 2. A Game Changer for Teacher Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtney L. | Application Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**AI Translated:** This review has been translated from English using AI.

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

What I really like about Storylane is how easy it is to create clear, step-by-step tutorials. The recording process is simple and allows you to walk users through exactly what they need to do, making even more complicated processes easy to follow.

I also really appreciate the AI feature. It helps generate and refine the written instructions for each step, which saves a lot of time and makes the tutorials more polished and user-friendly. Overall, Storylane makes it quick and easy to create professional tutorials without requiring a lot of extra work.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

The only thing I don’t like about Storylane is the high cost. I really wish they offered a discount for school districts.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane saves me hours every day. It helps me identify the common issues teachers are experiencing and quickly create clear, step-by-step tutorials to address them. Once a tutorial is created, teachers have a resource they can keep in their toolbox and return to whenever they need it. As a result, I spend less time explaining the same process over and over, and more time focusing on other projects and supporting our district in meaningful ways.

  ### 3. Easy-to-Use Demos with Helpful AI, Great Reporting, and Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leah T. | Product Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2026

**Describe the project or task Storylane helped with:**

No service task overview provided.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane is really easy to use. Capturing product screenshots is straightforward, and with its new AI features it even starts drafting the content for you. I especially like the ability to resize images to different dimensions so everything matches the demo, which is really useful when swapping out screens or when they’ve been captured at different resolutions.

We have it integrated with our HubSpot but don't have the full integration due to package that we're on. It's useful that it's linked with HubSpot but unfortunately we can't add our forms without upgrading to the next tier which is pretty steep and currently not worth the investment for us.

We do have notifications set up for whenever someone looks at the ondemand demo and the accuracy of who's viewed it is great! The reporting is just the right amount for what we need.

For the package that we're on it's very reasonably priced. The team are always helpful if we need any support.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Probably that you have to be on a steep tier for the full hubspot integration but other than that, no complaints.

**Recommendations to others considering Storylane:**

No recommendations provided.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us better visibility into businesses in the consideration phase of our product, as well as warm leads for the BDR team to follow up with.

  ### 4. Storylane Makes Interactive Walkthroughs Clear, Easy, and Valuable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim M. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**AI Translated:** This review has been translated from English using AI.

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane is a key tool RepSpark uses to create clean, clear walk throughs of our B2B wholesale ecommerce platform. The tool was easy to learn, allows for easy editing, and adding interactive elements is a breeze. Our customers find the walkthroughs integral to their understanding of our unique features, and has brought clarity where there was confusion in the past. The data we receive on steps completed and overall usage is compelling, and the price is beyond reasonable for the value we receive.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Nothing, the tool has come a long way in terms of allowing us to capture and edit user paths!

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Storylane, we spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours creating video walkthroughs. Now creating walkthroughs of our SaaS platform, and making updates, takes us far less time and has saved us thousands of dollars and tons of time.

  ### 5. Intuitive and Interactive Demos with Great Value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avantio T. | Avantio Vacation Rental Software, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

The drag-and-drop builder makes creating interactive product demos straightforward and fast. The UI/UX is clean and intuitive, so our team was able to build custom interactive tours without needing developer resources.

The AI features speed up editing by auto-generating guides, steps, and text options.

We are currently evaluating its full impact while exploring CRM Integrations to track engagement, but it has already proven to be a highly effective tool for engaging both current clients and prospective leads.

The Performance is fast across different browsers, and interactive elements load seamlessly. Lastly, the Pricing offers a fair cost-to-value ratio, and the Support team was helpful during setup.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Custom styling can feel a bit limited when trying to match complex, non-standard design systems.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By creating self-guided, interactive product tours, we can easily send tailored product walkthroughs ahead of sales calls or share feature updates with current customers. This saves our technical and design teams valuable time, improves engagement early in the funnel, and allows us to present our software in a clear, interactive format.

  ### 6. Makes Demos Easy to Create, Customize, and Share

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John F. | Director of Systems, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through LinkedIn

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane’s UI is very straightforward, and it has helped our team deliver demos for product feature releases. That’s a bit different from the classic sales use case, but it still works really well for us. Demos are easy to share and customize, and the browser extension has been especially useful. I spend almost no time editing because the AI features auto-generate captions and directions, while still making it simple for me to refine and adjust what’s generated. Pricing was also simple, and their team made sure to meet with me so I could fully understand all the features.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Without their top-tier plan, you can’t separate demos into sections. That means when I share a demo, I have to send them one by one instead of being able to share a single “resources hub.” For our use case, though, and given the good price of our current plan, we’re okay with that limitation.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled to communicate new features and important information about our platform/tech to our members, and we also spent a lot of time supporting them through live demos. Using storylane has allowed us to create high-quality, repeatable resources that individuals can use to showcase both existing how-tos and new feature demos. It cuts down the time we spend on releases, so we can move on to the next project.

  ### 7. Easy Interface and Great Live Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anıl Y. | Growth Marketing Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I think you need some training to get the full value out of the product, especially if you haven’t used a similar tool before. The product offers a lot, but it can be a bit difficult to find up-to-date training resources, and the AI support is a little weak in this area. However, when you have a more technical issue, the live support team is very helpful.<br><br>For basic use, the product is quite easy to use, and the AI features are especially useful for creating demos. Compared to the other products we considered, the Turkish language support was a big plus, although we would have liked to see more options available.<br><br>Overall, we’re quite satisfied with the product. It’s especially useful when you want to make changes to an existing demo, as the process is very simple. We’ve found it really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

It would be nice to have more avatar options, but the Turkish language support is quite weak, especially when it comes to the AI Voice feature. Other than that, we haven’t experienced any major issues.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s really useful for product demos and very easy to use. We needed demos to improve the user experience and make it easier to communicate and showcase newly released products to users. Having different types of demos gives us flexibility for different use cases, and we see the value increasing over the long term.

  ### 8. Storylane Makes Embedded LMS Walkthroughs Feel Like Live Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah C. | Senior Trainer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane allows us to simulate a live walkthrough and embed it in our learning management system. This is so valuable to our customer experience and managing the time of our trainers. Customers and click through and follow along as if we were training them live.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

The only change I would make is allowing us to remove call to action buttons. We use it for lms not sales and some features are very obviously sales oriented. We'd like it to be geared towards learning as well.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It frees up time for our live trainers by allowing a simulated experience that is very similar to a zoom training call. This allows our customers to be able to go back to a workflow even when we are not available and allows them to be more autonomous.

  ### 9. Storylane Makes Product Demos Easy and Saves Us Serious Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James D. | Senior Director, Product Go-To-Market, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane makes it much simpler for us to connect our products with customers. In the SaaS space, it can be really hard to get time with customers, onboard them to new solutions, and make sure they’re prepared before a feature launch. We especially love how easy it is to go from capturing our own software to sharing it with customers.

Pricing feels aligned with the market, and we consistently see useful features showing up for us to use.

Storylane also tracks “Time saved,” which reflects how much time end users spend using the demos instead of jumping on a call. Over the last 12 months, we’ve saved more than 600 hours.

The software runs in your browser or desktop - and I've never had any issues with speed.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I don't think there's anything significant to dislike.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Storylane to connect software to customers through product launch demos, feature overviews, and onboarding support.

It allows us to showcase our capabilities launching to 50+ customers without initially engaging in a call.

  ### 10. Storylane Makes Self-Guided Product Demos Easy, Plus a Powerful HubSpot Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin B. | Founder/CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

What we like best about Storylane is how easy it is to create engaging, self-guided product demos without requiring technical expertise. We use it extensively at Unified Track for lead generation, prospect education, customer training, and product walkthroughs.

The HubSpot integration has been especially valuable because it allows us to use our demos as effective lead magnets, capture prospect information, and connect engagement directly to our sales and marketing workflows. We also appreciate Storylane’s AI capabilities, particularly the ability to add video walkthroughs and guided narration to the demos we create. This helps us deliver a more personalized and informative experience while allowing prospects to explore our platform on their own schedule.

Storylane has become an important part of both our sales and customer success strategy because it is intuitive, flexible, easy to update, and seamlessly supports how we generate, educate, and convert leads.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

There honestly isn’t much we dislike about Storylane. If we had to identify one area, it would be that some of the more advanced customization options can take a little time to learn. That said, the platform is very intuitive overall, and the Storylane team continues to make improvements that enhance the experience.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Storylane, we relied heavily on scheduled live demonstrations, static marketing materials, and one-on-one training sessions to show prospects and customers how Unified Track works. This made it difficult to provide an immediate product experience, especially when buyers wanted to explore the platform on their own schedule.

With Storylane, we can now create interactive, self-guided demonstrations that are available 24/7 and tailored to different audiences and use cases. We use these demos for lead generation, sales follow-up, product education, onboarding, and customer training. Prospects can experience the value of our platform before scheduling a meeting, while our team can spend less time repeating the same introductory walkthroughs.

The HubSpot integration also allows us to use our demos as lead magnets, capture prospect information, and connect demo engagement directly to our sales and marketing workflows. Storylane’s AI and video walkthrough capabilities help us add context and guidance to each demo, creating a more personal experience without requiring someone from our team to be present.

Overall, Storylane has helped us scale how we demonstrate and explain our product, reduce repetitive live presentations, standardize customer training, and give prospects a faster and more engaging way to understand Unified Track.

  ### 11. Easy Content Creation for Effective Guidance to Enable Customers & Employees

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kina M. | VP, Customer Success Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

This has helped us quickly deploy guidance and quick how tos to both our internal teams and to customers. Very easy to create a Storylane. I also love the intent emails after someone has watched a Storylane that you created. We got up and running super quickly.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

We ran into an issue when a creator left the company, and it wasn’t very clear what would happen to the content. We felt there was a risk that if we closed that account and switched to a new one, we might lose our content. I’d recommend improving the content ownership and sharing model so it’s clearer and less risky in situations like this.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us onboard new employees, build knowledge internally, and share that knowledge with our customers. We can also quickly create customer-specific content, which makes it easy to leave behind useful artifacts. The AI and the UI/UX make creating and organizing content feel straightforward and efficient.

  ### 12. Fast, Fun Interactive Demos with Great AI and Editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor K. | CEO, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I like that it doesn't take long to create an interactive walk through of a live product just by clicking through it like you normally would. The editing capability makes it easy to fine tune the interaction for the user. We have also been able to use it for support and training users of the VisionSync platform with a relevant example in their environment. The AI does a great job setting up the interaction and in most cases you don't even need to change what it creates. It has been a good return on investment to be able to see the interactions and learn about organizations that might be exploring using our platform from our website or other sources where we can embed or link to our Storylane. We are even using it in outbound sales and GTM efforts due to is portability and speed to adjust to what we need.I find it fun to create something in minutes that used to take hours or a specialist.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

No downsides I have experienced with the platform.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business development, out reach, client and prospect education, training and support. Those benefit us tremendously and we are getting good feedback on the demo capability and the training resources we can provide now in a customized way. It is nice that it is integrated right into my browser and I can start it at any time.

  ### 13. Intuitive, AI-Powered Demos with Lightning-Fast Performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua D. | Implementation Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I love that it is incredibly intuitive to use. I think that the infusion of AI in the process makes things extremely effective. For e.g - there are parts of a demo that I've never looked at in a certain way before and this is highlighted by the AI generating the text bubbles and things along those lines. I love that we don't have to use our voices during the demo recordings. I especially like the controls through the chrome extension and the flexibility in choosing between screenshots and html which makes demos highly customizable. The support and onboarding process was great because our team had a call with a CSM from Storylane that went through the entire product having someone from our team work on a demo as a live use case. The performance of the platform is unlike any other product in it's class. Extremely quick to record, render, refactor and edit demos. Love it.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Not much to say, to be honest. It gets the job done, and it does it better than any other tool I’ve seen so far.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of demos taking incredibly long to create, while also avoiding demos that feel uninstructive and dry.

  ### 14. Storylane Saves Time, Boosts Lead Gen, and Delivers Great Team Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carrie P. | Head of Customer Experience, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

We are using Storylane for creating demos with the main Demo Suite product. I like that not only has it saved us time, build demos that can be edited quickly, but it has also helped us with lead generation and understanding how customers are consuming the content that we're creating. On top of that, the team has been incredible to work with.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I wish that we could integrate it with our Intercom/FIN ecosystem, but understand that there's some competitive features with their new RepX feature.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane is helping us keep our documentation and customer resources up to date. We've historically not been able to keep up with our product updates and our demos have gone stale. It's also helping us understand what our customers are consuming and how impactful the content we create is.

  ### 15. Storylane it's amazing

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane offers the ability to create engaging, interactive demos. It is user-friendly, versatile, and enhances storytelling with multimedia elements, proving to be highly effective for marketing and sales. Prior to subscribing, we were looking for ease of implementation, and we have found this to be a great asset due to its user-friendliness. We've received positive feedback from both customers and leads. Additionally, the feature that allows transforming a video into steps is particularly noteworthy.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I haven't found anything I dislike about Storylane.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane has simplified the process of creating engaging and interactive demos. Traditional presentations can be static and unengaging. Storylane's interactive features has helped us to capture and retain audience attention, making demos more effective. By providing a user-friendly platform, Storylane reduces the time and resources typically required to create high-quality demos

Easy to create clickable demos, but the analytics is the best part. You can see which demos are getting the most engagement and identify where people drop off. Integrate with your CRM and see the demos that have been part of the buyer journey. You can see in Storylane the videos that are also generating conversions.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Nothing that I can think of, it meets our needs.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It brings our product experience into our website, our blog, and our sales process. Once prospects see our product they can see the noticeable difference and value. It helps people to get to their a-ha moments sooner and encourages them to take the next step and book a live demo.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane has been incredibly easy to use and really helpful for creating product demos, especially when we need to explain more complex features in a clear, interactive way. I particularly like having an alternative to video, because not every customer wants to sit through a recording - sometimes people would much rather click through a product experience at their own pace and focus on the parts that are most relevant to them.

The AI voiceover feature is one of my favourites and makes it much easier to turn a demo into something more guided without adding a lot of production work. I also really appreciate the ability to create different links for the same demo and track analytics separately, which is super useful when using demos across different campaigns, audiences or channels.

And I was genuinely excited to see Storylane launch MCP. It feels like a great next step for the product and opens up even more possibilities for how interactive demos can fit into broader AI-powered workflows.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

There’s nothing I particularly dislike, but I’d love a bit more flexibility around the video avatar experience. For example, it would be great to be able to upload a different pre-recorded video for each step of a demo.

And for videos recorded directly in Storylane, a few more editing options would make the experience even better - things like background blur, basic video editing, and speech prompts or presenter notes while recording.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane helps us explain product features in a much more interactive and scalable way, especially when the functionality is complex and difficult to communicate through screenshots or copy alone. It gives customers and prospects the option to explore the product at their own pace instead of always having to watch a video or join a live demo.

It also makes it much easier for us to reuse demos across different campaigns, channels and audiences. Being able to create separate links and track engagement helps us understand how people are interacting with the demos and what resonates most.

  ### 18. Storylane Gives Us Time Back with Self-Serve Demos That Qualify Prospects Faster

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

The biggest win for me is getting some time back. As an SE, it’s easy to get pulled into demo requests before a prospect has even figured out what they’re looking for. We started using Storylane to build demos for a few of our common use cases, and now our AEs can send those over right after discovery. Prospects can poke around on their own, and by the time I get involved, the conversation is usually much more productive. Instead of spending 30 minutes walking someone through where everything lives, we can jump straight into integrations, technical requirements, and whether the solution actually fits.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

There’s definitely a limit to how much you can realistically show in a click-through demo. Once you get into more complicated configurations, custom logic, or workflows that depend on a lot of different variables, it’s hard to make the experience feel truly representative. Those kinds of scenarios are still better handled in a live session.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us avoid spending SE time on demos that probably could have been handled asynchronously. Since we have a lot of opportunities moving at once, being able to give prospects something useful to explore on their own before bringing in an SE really makes a difference.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I love the tool and final result of it. Its end result is something that helps end users. Which reduce repeating steps to end users. UI is great and looking forward for some improvements.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Design of the demos and hubs is still too limited. Need to be able to generate something faster with templates and AI. Also creating demos using html option is not working everytime I use that option. I need to be able to blur specific video areas and that is not something that be done easily. More templates and AI offering full prompt base template would be awesome.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing knowledge and customer guidance.
Educational in general.

  ### 20. An essential tool for interactive product marketing

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

What I like most about Storylane is how easy it is to create interactive product demos that actually feel like using the real application. Instead of relying on static screenshots or long videos, we can guide prospects through the most important features in a structured and engaging way. It helps us explain our product much faster, especially during the awareness and consideration stages, and gives potential customers the freedom to explore at their own pace.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

My main concern is that some changes happen unexpectedly. We experienced a design update that affected our demos without clear communication, and at one point the video export feature stopped working. The AI Assistant also occasionally modified existing step content while adding new screens, with no undo option available. These issues weren't frequent, but they did create extra work when maintaining demos.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a B2B SaaS company, one of our biggest challenges is helping prospects quickly understand the value of our platform. Storylane solves this by allowing us to present our product through interactive, self-guided demos instead of static screenshots or long videos. This generates more interest, makes complex features easier to understand, and gives potential customers a much better first product experience before they talk to sales.

  ### 21. Intuitive, Clean UI with Solid Performance and Helpful AI Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

The UI is intuitive and clean, and I’ve never had any issues with it. I haven’t tried any integrations yet, but I plan to look into them.

Website performance is solid and seems to be improving over time. A few months ago I ran into some problems with video cutting, but those issues are fixed now.

Pricing is straightforward, and I really like that I can publish a demo even on the free plan. I think I’ll create more demos, and then upgrade to a paid plan to publish them.

I also appreciate the AI features. For example, the text description for each step is already partially filled in; I still had to make some adjustments, but overall it did a good job even with little to no context.

I tried a few competitors, but I chose Storylane because it fit the kind of product tour I had in mind better.

I can’t judge mobile demos yet, but I’m glad this feature exists and I’ll give it a try later.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Some features aren’t explained clearly in the pricing menu, so on some of the higher plans I’m not fully sure what I’m getting. A few concrete examples would make it easier to understand.

As I mentioned, I previously had some problems with video cutting: it wasn’t very accurate, and sometimes the video playback during cutting didn’t work, so I had to reload the web page. However, these issues have been fixed.

Sometimes I still get a bit lost with all the screens/steps in the sidebar. Just looking at the preview of each step’s content isn’t always enough for me to know what it is at a glance. It would be helpful to be able to rename steps to label them (maybe this feature already exists, and I just missed it).

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to give our clients a demo of our product, and to do that we created ad hoc credentials so they could navigate our demo environment. Managing those credentials quickly became really annoying, so we started looking for alternatives and found Storylane. With Storylane, we can easily create straightforward demos without having to grant access to our demo environment when it isn’t necessary.

We currently use Storylane demos as a kind of “reward” in our outreach emails, and in the future we plan to create more demos that also serve as tutorials for our users.

  ### 22. RepX Powers a Truly Personalized, Multi-Modal Demo Chatbot

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

We used Storylane’s new RepX product to build Clara, the multi-modal demo chatbot that’s now live on our homepage. The personalization is what impressed me most. A visitor can tell Clara their persona or what they’re trying to do, and she pulls up a slide tailored to that—support proof, customer proof, competitor proof, whatever fits.

If you ask her about something, she answers right in the chat, either as text, a visual, or a live demo depending on the question. If you mention you want to see the product, a tour loads on the spot. It doesn’t feel like a canned walkthrough.

The other standout was the support. On their side, Shankar Ganesh put up with every odd idea we threw at him and helped shape it into what it ultimately became.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

The learning curve. RepX is capable, and that capability comes with a lot to wrap your head around early on — it took us some time and back-and-forth before we were comfortable building the experience we wanted. Worth it in the end, but plan for the ramp.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It replaced the static "book a demo" wall on our homepage with something interactive. Visitors get answers and live product tours in the moment instead of waiting on a sales call, and the persona-aware responses mean they see what's relevant to them. It's lowered the barrier to engaging with our product before anyone has to talk to a rep.

  ### 23. RepX AI Delivers Fast, Polished Live Demo Agents with Accurate Custom Q&A Training

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

The RepX AI demo agent is the standout feature. We're running it as a live demo agent on sharegate.com alongside our conversational AI stack, and the ability to train it with custom Q&A pairs means it handles product-specific questions accurately rather than hallucinating generic SaaS answers. That training workflow - where you build structured pairs and deploy them directly into the agent - is straightforward and doesn't require engineering involvement.

The demo creation flow is also faster than I expected. Building a guided product walkthrough that actually looks polished took hours, not days. For a GTM team that needs to move quickly on pilots without pulling in design resources, that matters.

The ability to embed it as a demo agent rather than just a static tour is the real unlock - it shifts the experience from "here's a product video" to something closer to a live rep interaction, which is exactly what we were trying to achieve.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Seat pricing is structured for larger teams. For a lean GTM operation running a focused pilot, the default packaging has more seats than you need, and right-sizing it requires a commercial negotiation that shouldn't be necessary at the pilot stage. A usage-based or small-team tier would lower the barrier significantly.
The RepX training workflow is manual in a way that becomes a bottleneck as product surface area grows. You build Q&A pairs one at a time - there's no bulk import from a doc, knowledge base, or existing FAQ. For teams with deep or frequently updated product content, that's a real ongoing time investment. A structured ingestion flow would change this meaningfully.
Conversation-level analytics for the AI agent need work. You can see demo engagement metrics, but understanding how RepX is actually performing - where it's falling back on questions, which topics it's handling confidently versus poorly, where users are dropping - requires more manual digging than it should. For a tool positioning itself as an AI agent, the intelligence layer on performance should be first-class. Better per-question analytics would make internal ROI reporting much easier.
Integrations are functional but not deep. The connection to our existing stack works for basic handoff, but tighter integration with CRM and intent data would make it possible to personalize the agent experience - which is the obvious next unlock for a tool like this.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem is demo coverage at scale. Our sales team can't be live on every product touchpoint, and static product tours don't handle follow-up questions. Storylane RepX fills that gap - it acts as an always-on demo agent that can walk a prospect through the product and respond to questions without a rep in the room.
For a GTM team running a lean outbound and conversion stack, that's a meaningful unlock. It extends rep capacity without headcount, which is exactly the tradeoff we were trying to solve for in a pilot context.
The secondary benefit is speed to deployment. We went from evaluation to a live agent on sharegate.com faster than we would have with a custom-built solution, and without needing engineering cycles to do it. For a team that owns experimentation budget and needs to test and iterate quickly, the low deployment overhead matters.
It also forced useful internal work - building the Q&A training pairs created a structured handover document that now lives in our knowledge base and has value beyond the tool itself. That's an unexpected side effect worth noting.
Still early on full ROI measurement, but the directional signal is that it's compressing the gap between a prospect's first product touchpoint and their ability to get a real answer - which is the moment we care most about in our funnel.

  ### 24. Storylane Makes Polished, Interactive Product Demos Fast—No Developer Needed

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

What I like best about Storylane is how easy it makes it to turn a product walkthrough into a polished, interactive demo without needing a developer or a designer. The editor is intuitive, and I like that I can capture a workflow, customize the steps, add tooltips, and guide someone through the experience in a way that feels much more engaging than a static deck or screen recording.

The biggest value for me is how much time it saves in sales, onboarding, and education. Instead of repeatedly explaining the same product flow live, I can send a Storylane demo that lets someone click through the experience on their own. It makes the product feel more tangible and helps people understand the value faster.

I also appreciate the flexibility. We can tailor demos for different audiences or use cases, which makes it easier to speak directly to a prospect’s needs instead of sending one generic overview. The UI is clean, the demos look professional, and the final result feels polished without requiring a heavy production process.

An unexpected benefit is that Storylane helps clarify our own messaging. When building a demo, you’re forced to think through the most important steps, what users need to understand first, and where the product value really shows up. That has made our walkthroughs more focused and useful overall.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

The main thing I dislike about Storylane is that some of the customization can feel a little limited once you are trying to make a demo feel very on-brand or highly tailored. The platform is easy to use, which is a major benefit, but there are moments where I wish there were more advanced design controls for styling, layout, transitions, and the overall presentation of the demo.

There can also be a bit of a learning curve when setting up more detailed or complex demos. Basic walkthroughs are simple, but once you want to create a more polished flow with branching steps, embedded context, or multiple use cases, it can take some trial and error to get everything exactly right.

I would also like to see even more flexibility around analytics and integrations. The performance data is helpful, but deeper insight into where viewers drop off, what they click, and how different demos perform by audience would make it even more valuable for sales and marketing teams.

Overall, none of these issues are major dealbreakers, but improving customization, analytics depth, and advanced workflow options would make Storylane even stronger.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane is solving the problem of having to explain the same product, platform, or process over and over through live calls, static screenshots, or long Loom videos. Before using Storylane, it was harder to give people a clear, hands-on understanding of the product without scheduling a meeting or walking them through it manually.

Now, we can create interactive demos that let prospects, clients, or internal team members click through the experience on their own. That has made our sales and onboarding process much more efficient because people can understand the workflow faster and come into conversations with better context.

The biggest benefit is time savings. Instead of spending 20 to 30 minutes repeatedly explaining the same flow, we can send a polished demo that does a lot of that education upfront. It also makes the product feel more real and easier to understand compared to a PDF, pitch deck, or screen recording.

It has also helped us create more consistent messaging. Everyone sees the same guided experience, which reduces confusion and makes sure the most important features and benefits are highlighted clearly. Overall, Storylane helps us educate people faster, make a stronger impression, and move conversations forward with less manual explanation.

  ### 25. Storylane’s AI Storytelling Slides with Proactive Support and Performance Tracking

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I really like how the slides are structured automatically so the presentation feels like a story. That feature makes my work easier and helps everything flow more naturally. I think it's the AI intelligence. Also, I frequently get support proactively with suggestions and all. Finally, I love that I can track the performance of my storylane slides whenever someone clicks throgh, as well as the easy-to-navigate UI of the slides.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Right now, my main concern is the pricing. The per-seat pricing model doesn’t really work for me, and given how large our company is, it would likely become expensive over the long run.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our biggest issue has always been onboarding. I used to have to book demo sessions with potential clients every time, but with Storylane that task is much easier. Now I can either share the slides or integrate on my website, which makes the whole process smoother.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I think the best way is that I can help different kinds of stakeholders, including the project managers, product managers, software engineers, and customers. They can engage with the livable introductions or guidelines in here, without providing them a very long document or videos. It takes people a lot of time to help them understand the product and how it works, that's from the education side.

Also internally, we can use your product to train people to understand the internal company process. This reduces the time waste for process onboardings and company policies education. We have proven that it's much more efficient than just providing them documents to read or videos. It's also more interactive than the videos, because we found that many of them will skip the video. If we sense the interaction design like this, it's easier for them to get it and onboard.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I think the biggest things that we found is that how we manage the different files, because we cannot really set up a story journey. If we have multiple interactions, then we have to send multiple files. That would be very torturing and also confusing to us. It's better to have some kind of index, or a learning center, or a knowledge hub, so we can put everything in one place, like one big indexed page.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's really helpful because it helps us to educate the people, educate our customers on how our product demo should look, and educate them how to onboard. That's very useful.

  ### 27. Outstanding User ExperienceInteractive demos that make content easier to understand

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane has been a useful tool for presenting and sharing our digital content in a more engaging and professional way. We especially value how easy it is to create interactive experiences and distribute them through a simple link, helping us make product and corporate materials more accessible for our audience. The platform is intuitive and the final result is visually polished.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

There are still some areas where the editing and customization options could be more flexible, especially when adapting content to specific branding or layout needs. However, the platform is easy to use overall and continues to be valuable for our team.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Storylane, we relied mainly on static materials and lengthy explanations to present product and corporate content, which made it harder to show the experience clearly. Storylane enables us to create interactive, visually engaging demos that are easier to share and understand. Its intuitive interface also allows our team to build and update content without requiring extensive technical support.

  ### 28. Storylane Makes Interactive Product Demos Easy and Scalable Across Teams

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

What I like best about Storylane is how easy it makes it to create interactive product demos without needing heavy technical support. It helps turn complex workflows into clear, self-guided experiences that prospects or customers can explore on their own.

I also like that it can support sales, marketing, onboarding, and customer success use cases, making it a practical tool across multiple teams. The ability to quickly create, update, and share demos adds a lot of value, especially for companies that need to showcase product capabilities in a polished and scalable way.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

What I dislike about Storylane is that creating polished demos can still take time, especially when the workflow is more complex or needs frequent updates. It is easy to build a basic demo, but making it feel fully refined, on-brand, and aligned with the sales or onboarding process requires additional planning and review.

I also think there is room to improve flexibility around customization, analytics, and managing multiple demo versions, especially for teams that want to tailor demos by audience, use case, or customer segment.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane helps solve the problem of explaining a product clearly without always needing a live demo, engineering support, or a long sales call. It allows teams to create interactive, self-guided product walkthroughs that make it easier for prospects, customers, and internal stakeholders to understand key workflows.

The biggest benefit is scalability. Instead of repeating the same demo multiple times, we can share a polished walkthrough that users can explore on their own. This supports sales enablement, customer onboarding, training, and marketing by making product education more consistent, accessible, and efficient.

It also helps reduce friction in the buyer journey because prospects can engage with the product experience earlier and at their own pace.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I like that Storylane saved us a lot of time from writing plain text and building videos. We can create and track the demos easily. It has pretty robust features for adapting to our branding and adding avatars to specific demos, making it very easy to build interactive and engaging content. We've noticed a high engagement rate and conversion from this documentation, which significantly increases our feature adaptability. The demos are valuable because it's quick to build a pretty good demo in about half an hour, and it's easy to update for UI changes. Plus, the initial setup of Storylane was very easy for our team.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I find their mobile experience inconsistent because the styling varies between different phones.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane helps us quickly produce how-to documentation, speeding up user onboarding. It saves us time from writing plain text and videos, lets us create interactive demos, and adapts to our branding. It increases engagement and conversion rates significantly.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I wish I could create more personalized options to put in the tutorials and have a personal database where I can pull my frequently used widgets or icons for my tutorials.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane is making onboarding time shortened and customer retention easier by allowing clients to have training they can refer to again and again.

  ### 31. Essential for Marketing: Easy HTML Screen Capture and Post-Edit Anonymization

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane has become an essential tool for our marketing team. We particularly appreciate the ability to capture HTML product screens and edit them afterwards, which makes anonymizing sensitive information quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Screen capturing and recording is limited because of IT security restrictions. I understand this is on our side, but I still wish the tool could work around some of those security constraints.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane helps us turn our product into engaging demos and guides. It saves us significant time while allowing us to anonymize sensitive information and showcase new features professionally. It also now offers automated translations of tooltips which is much appreciated.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane made the process of producing a product walkthrough so much easier than trying to 1-shot record a video. Their new AI tooling made it easy to adjust and tweak the script, and the AI voiceover accelerated the time to publish significantly for someone like me who tends to have to re-record these things many times over.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Some of the settings are at the screen level and would be better to have an option to apply them at the demo level (like popup placement or styling).

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Public and private user-facing demos can be a pain to record, Storylane makes creating and sharing easy.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

What I like best about Storylane is how fast it is to turn a live product into a polished interactive demo without much effort. The editor makes it easy to mask or swap real data so every demo looks tailored to the prospect, and the analytics on who viewed what and where they dropped off give me a real signal on buyer intent.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

There have been a few bugs while creating the AI voice over but nothing major other than that

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane has proven to be a great tool that we use to showcase our product in an interactive manner that helps our prospects understand the value of our product and the user experience that adds to it

  ### 34. Storylane Makes Product Demos Faster, Clearer, and More Engaging

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

We used to screen-record demo videos and then edit them to share with users on how to use the product. That process was time-consuming for us because we had to edit the videos and try to make them interesting for users. We also used Adobe software to create these video demos, which requires software knowledge and powerful systems to work on. On top of that, these demos sometimes didn’t grab the user’s attention, and users often don’t have time to watch the full video.

But Storylane helped a lot with this. Anyone can work on it, and it makes the demos more interesting, more to the point, and less time-consuming for both us and the user.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

The only feature we’d like to see in Storylane is better mobile viewing. Right now, on mobile devices, the demo window doesn’t adjust to the screen size, and it also doesn’t rotate horizontally to let you view it larger.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using this software, creating product demos meant recording long, time-consuming videos that often lost viewer attention halfway through. Explaining workflows clearly was difficult, and updating demos for every product change took a lot of effort.

Now, creating demos has become far more interactive, concise, and engaging. Instead of long, boring walkthrough videos, we can create to-the-point demonstrations that communicate the value quickly and effectively. This has improved viewer engagement, reduced the time spent creating demo content, and made it easier for customers to understand the product faster.

  ### 35. Intuitive, Quick Demo Creation with Storylane

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane is very easy to get started with and feels intuitive to use from the outset. The Chrome extension makes it simple to capture workflows and build interactive demos quickly without needing a huge amount of setup or technical knowledge. For a small team, that ease of use is a big advantage because you can create polished demos in a short amount of time. The onboarding experience was also straightforward enough that I haven’t needed to contact support.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

The AI functionality hasn’t been as useful as I expected. It doesn’t always fully understand the flow or intended steps within a demo, and the pre-populated text suggestions often need a fair amount of manual editing. Pricing on the entry-level paid plan feels reasonable, but the jump to higher tiers becomes quite expensive, especially for smaller startups where budget is more limited.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane is helping us build a library of interactive product demos that we can use throughout our sales process. Instead of repeatedly running live demos for every enquiry, we can share guided product experiences that prospects can explore in their own time.

This saves our team a significant amount of time while still giving potential customers a clear understanding of the product and key workflows. It also helps us scale the sales process more effectively, especially as a smaller team, because prospects can self-serve and qualify themselves before needing a live session.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I can capture screens, stitch them into a clickable walkthrough, and have it live on a landing page or in a sales email the same day. The editor is intuitive enough that I didn’t need any onboarding to get started, and the embed options mean I’m not asking prospects to click through to yet another link. For what it costs relative to what I get out of it, the ROI is easy to justify, because a single walkthrough can replace hours of repetitive live demos.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

The editing experience can get clunky when you’re maintaining walkthroughs over time. If a UI change affects three screens in a twenty-step flow, there isn’t a quick way to swap only those screens in place, so you end up rebuilding more than you should. A batch-replace or screen-swap option would cut down a lot of unnecessary rework. I’d also like deeper analytics—possibly AI-assisted—that go beyond “they clicked here” and instead surface patterns, like where prospects consistently lose interest or drop off.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane gives prospects a chance to experience the product on their own terms, even before a live demo is booked. As a result, the conversations that do happen tend to be better qualified, since people already understand what they’re looking at.

  ### 37. One of the Easiest Ways We’ve Found to Create Interactive SaaS Demos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob K. | Head of SEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

What I like most is how quickly it lets you create polished, interactive product demos without needing a lot of editing experience. I used it to build a demo for Ampli that we embedded on our homepage via YouTube, and the whole process felt surprisingly smooth from start to finish. The UI is intuitive, the screen capture works well, and it’s easy to guide people through the product in a way that feels modern and engaging, rather than just dropping a bunch of screenshots onto a page.

The biggest benefit for us has been the speed and flexibility. Instead of spending days recording, editing, re-recording mistakes, and manually stitching everything together, Storylane streamlined the workflow massively. It helped us communicate the product’s value visually in a much clearer way, which is especially useful for SaaS onboarding, sales, and homepage conversions. Overall, it made it much easier to produce something that looked professional without needing a full production setup.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

One downside is that while the platform is powerful, there’s still a bit of a learning curve when you first start trying to make demos feel truly polished and high-end. Some parts of the UI can feel slightly overwhelming initially because there are a lot of options and flows available, especially if you're coming from a more traditional video editing or screen recording background.

I’d also like to see more AI-assisted features around scripting, scene suggestions, or automatic flow optimisation, especially for SaaS homepage demos where conversion matters. The platform already saves a huge amount of time, but smarter AI guidance could make it even more valuable for founders and marketers trying to move quickly.

Performance-wise, there were occasional moments where editing or previewing felt a little sluggish on larger demos, though nothing major enough to stop us using it. Pricing may also feel a bit steep for smaller startups or solo founders early on, but if you're actively using demos for onboarding, sales, or conversion, the ROI can justify it fairly quickly.

Overall though, the positives outweighed the negatives for us, and it helped us create a much more professional product experience for Ampli without needing a full video production workflow.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Storylane, explaining our SaaS product visually was far more time-consuming and fragmented. Traditional demo creation usually meant recording multiple takes, editing footage manually, updating videos every time the UI changed, and trying to make everything look polished enough for a homepage or sales environment. It created a bottleneck between product updates, marketing, and presentation quality.

Storylane helped solve that by making it much faster to build interactive, professional-looking demos that could actually keep up with product iteration. We used it to create a demo of Ampli for our homepage and YouTube, and it allowed us to communicate the product experience much more clearly without needing a full video production workflow.

The biggest benefit has been speed and clarity. We can now create demos in hours instead of days, make updates more easily when the platform changes, and present the product in a way that feels more engaging for potential customers. From a business perspective, it helps reduce friction in onboarding and gives prospects a much quicker understanding of the value of the platform before booking a call or signing up.

From a ROI standpoint, the time savings alone are significant, especially for startups or SaaS teams moving quickly. It also bridges the gap between product, marketing, and sales because the demos are easy enough to iterate on without needing specialist video editing skills every time something changes.

  ### 38. Storylane Is a Game-Changer for Personalized, Interactive Sales Demos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane has been a game changer for how I run my sales cycle. As an AE, one of the biggest challenges is keeping prospects engaged between calls. With Storylane I can send a personalised interactive demo straight after a discovery call, so the product stays front of mind while the champion sells internally on my behalf. The builder is genuinely quick to use. I can clone a demo, swap out the branding and tailor the flow to a specific use case in under 20 minutes. That means every prospect gets something relevant rather than a generic walkthrough.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Occasionally the editor can feel a little slow when working with larger demos

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of keeping prospects engaged between meetings. Before, there was no easy way to let someone experience the product on their own time without spinning up a live environment or relying on a recording. Storylane fills that gap with something interactive and trackable.

The main benefit is that it shortens the sales cycle. Champions can share the demo internally without needing me on a call, which speeds up buy-in from stakeholders I might not have direct access to. It also means I go into follow-up conversations better prepared, knowing exactly what the prospect has looked at.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Very intuitive tool and easy to handle. It allows for creating high-quality edits, with a very qualitative output. The Chrome plugin is really very practical, allowing for quick integration. Capturing is very fast as well as content adjustment. The support is quite present to ensure everything is okay. The price is rather very reasonable considering the range of features. Finally, it is boosted by AI, which makes it even more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

One is quickly forced to switch to the paid version, but it's not unreasonable given the tool's capabilities.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There was a big need to create animated content independently. Thanks to Storylane, we are able to deliver high-quality video content quickly and economically. The tool is easy to use, which avoids the need to recruit specific profiles.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Something that used to take me hours now takes only a couple of minutes with Storylane! It has been an amazing addition to our tool stack, as I constantly have to create new walkthroughs as we publish new features and improvements.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Nothing! Storylane has been an amazing tool for our product and sales teams!

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to have to record demo videos in QuickTime and send them to our design team for editing and polishing. With Storylane, we are saving time and resources because I can create demo videos quickly and easily on my own without looping in other resources.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I'm using the Demo suite on a daily basis to create short, to the point feature-focus video of our platform. I use the AI -feature to add content directly to my recordings, so it saves me plenty of time when editing the cadence and copywriting. Storylane smartly balances short video parts to still screens so that users have the time to read.
I was happily surprised by the quality of the AI-supported translation that allows me to duplicate my videos in seconds, almost no edit needed.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Sometimes, if the recording is too slow, the AI does not understand quite well the different steps of the recording.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed both
- more volume of our demo videos, so that our customer success managers could explain easily and send videos as self-service content
- more quality to our demos, that were basically self-recorder desktop videos with no text, no voiceover and no possibility for the user to pace how fast the video is going.
Now we can create different levels of demo videos, that can be very marketing-lead, or very product-led depending on the objective. It allows our team to spend less time repeating over and over the features and enriched our knowledge base.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I like that it has a Google extension that lets you quickly grab a walkthrough demo right from your browser.

Their UI/UX is also quite easy to follow. Regarding performance, it mostly works; I haven't had any big issues with it. One thing I really liked is that it can also be integrated with HubSpot so that you can get details quickly.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Mobile rendering is bad. HTML capture demos have rendering issues on mobile devices, pulling 84 mentions on their own across G2 reviews. Cost scaling and mobile issues together top the complaint list with 98 mentions, and the two compound each other when you're paying Growth-tier prices for demos that don't work well on phones.

Screenshot-based editing is tedious and error-prone. Screenshot-based editing involves a ton of manual work, and grabbing screenshots introduces constant errors because most product screens look similar. For fast-moving products, screenshot maintenance becomes particularly painful, since every UI change means recapturing and re-stitching.

Pricing escalates quickly once you move past the Starter tier. The entry price is $40/month, but the tier where most teams actually land for HTML demos is Growth at $500/month. At $500/month for HTML editing and $1,200/month for deal intelligence, it's not a casual purchase, and several reviewers note that the jump catches teams off guard.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool facilitates the efficient presentation of our product to clients and enhances sales interactions. Its primary advantage lies in enabling a swift demonstration of product benefits to customers, often eliminating the need for a scheduled meeting, as a simple walkthrough can effectively convey the value proposition.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Ease of use

We had a working demo on our site the same day we signed up. The Chrome extension captures screens, the editor is pretty self-explanatory, and our marketing team figured it out without needing product to walk them through it. I'd budgeted a week for setup and didn't need it.

Customer support

Had an embedded demo break on a client's site once. Their support got back within a few hours with a fix that actually worked, not a scripted response. That's happened a couple of times now. Feels like you're talking to people who use the product themselves rather than reading from a troubleshooting doc.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Don't bother sending HTML capture demos to anyone on their phone. Sales shared one with a prospect who opened it during a commute and the layout was a mess. Overlapping buttons, broken spacing. We now add "best viewed on desktop" to every outreach email that includes a demo link, which at $500/month feels like something we shouldn't have to do.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets me create interactive, click-through demos of my product that prospects can explore on their own. It means I don’t have to rely as much on live walkthroughs or static screenshots to show what the product does.

  ### 44. Fast, Clickable Demos with Easy Updates, Personalization, and Insightful Analytics

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

The thing that keeps us using it is how quickly you can go from a live product to a demo people can actually click through. Capturing the screens and editing the flow takes minutes, where before we were recording video and then editing it every time something in the UI changed. Now we update the affected step and the demo is current again. Personalization is the other part that pays off: we swap out company names and logos per account, so one base demo covers a full target list instead of building a new one each time. The analytics are more useful than I expected, because seeing where someone stops clicking tells you more about interest than an email open does. The editor needs some patience when a screen has dynamic content, but support answered within a day when we got stuck on it.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Most of my friction sits in the editor once a demo needs to be more than a straight walkthrough. Styling control is limited if you want something really on-brand: it is easy to get a demo to look decent, harder to get it exactly right, and the options for layout and transitions stop short of what our designers ask for. Brand settings also live per demo instead of workspace-wide, which is a small thing that adds up when you publish regularly. Editing images inside a captured screen feels slower than the rest of the tool, and the zoom option does not always land where you need it. Building a flow with branching or several use cases in one demo takes trial and error before it sits right, so budget more time for that than for a simple linear demo. None of this stopped us from using it daily, it just means the first version of a demo takes longer than you would expect.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Storylane, showing the product early in a conversation meant either a live call or a recorded video. Live calls needed someone with product knowledge in the room, so demos got scheduled a week out and half of them turned out to be with people who were not a fit. The videos solved the scheduling problem but not the maintenance one: every UI change meant re-recording and re-editing, so within a few months most of them were out of date and we quietly stopped sending them.

Now the product walkthrough sits in the sales conversation from the first email instead of after a qualification call. Building a demo is a job of an hour or two instead of a day of recording and editing, and when the interface changes we update the affected step rather than starting over. That is the difference that made us actually keep the demos current.

The second benefit is what it tells us. Step-level analytics show where someone stopped clicking, which is a far better signal of interest than an email open, and it tells the person following up which part of the product to talk about. Personalizing a demo per account means we reuse one base flow across a whole list instead of building each one from scratch.

The result is fewer calls spent explaining basics, prospects who arrive already knowing what the product does, and demo material that stays accurate without a standing maintenance task. For a small team that last part matters as much as the time saved up front.

  ### 45. Effortless Demo Creation with Awesome AI Features

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I like the most their editor. It's very easy to edit guides on screens with a basically drag and drop interface. Additionally, I appreciate being able to replace the background when our UI updates, which is pretty powerful. The AI features are also a highlight for me, as they automatically generate the content, so I don't have to spend time thinking about what to include. It's pretty cool. The initial setup was very easy too. We just downloaded the extension, and we're ready to capture demos.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I feel that some features require additional discoverability, but overall, they work fine for me. Nothing major.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Storylane to save time on building demos by auto-generating content and easily editing guides with a drag-and-drop editor. Its AI pre-fills content, making demo creation straightforward.

The product itself is quite useful, especially because it helps viewers get a step by step sense of how one's product works.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Not sure whether it exists but trimming multiple parts within the video clip recorded was something I wasn't able to do. I did search within the documentation whether this was possible but wasn't able to locate.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As yet, we are using Storylane to create demo pages for multiple product functionalities. The objective is that it could give viewers a visual sense of how our product works and Storylane is helping us do that well.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I love how quickly we can build interactive demos that instantly showcase how our solution accelerates sales and secures deals. This hands-on experience drastically shortens our sales cycle and boosts prospect engagement. The value far exceeds the cost, as the presales time saved and the accelerated sales cycles easily justify the subscription. Closing just one additional staffing deal thanks to an interactive demo provides an immediate ROI.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Capturing complex, data-heavy staffing dashboards sometimes requires tedious manual tweaking to look perfect. Additionally, keeping dynamic consultant profiles updated across multiple interactive demos can be quite time-consuming.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the bottleneck of scheduling complex live demos by letting prospects instantly explore our platform on their own. This accelerates our sales cycle and helps us secure deals faster by immediately proving our value to firms.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Difficulty figuring out how to make sure the audio VO doesn't automatically start when they open the demo link, since the volume is default to off. How to link back to our website vs. Storylane in the demo view.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love the AI features of Storylane that generate all the content for our demos, making the entire process straightforward and efficient. The one-click feature to add AI voiceovers and narration is incredibly useful. Building and sharing demos is easy through their extension, and I spend very little time editing since their AI does a good job. The user interface is simple and makes onboarding smooth and easy.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I find the pricing structure challenging because on the starter plan, I get most features, but to use HTML demos, I need the growth plan, which is 10 times the cost.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Storylane to easily create and share demos for new product features, saving us time on editing. The AI features handle content generation, and the setup is smooth and straightforward.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane helps me with creating demos fast, super fast. I really like its AI capabilities that lets us use their avatars. saves a lot of time in demos. You can customize names and personalize demos based on who enters the storylane link

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

There isnt much to dislike about Storylane. It lets you pretty much do however you want to demonstrate your solution. i have seen people create 100 pages in one demo, which is not great process wise. Maybe some guidance/training pops up on how to create good demos might help during demo creation.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has feature of telling you which accounts have reviewed your demos and how long. That is pretty beneficial. Basically letting some of us trained staff to do great demos.
