"Simple and reliable Apple device management"
What do you like best about Iru?

IRU has been a solid solution for managing Apple devices in our organization. The platform is intuitive, easy to deploy, and the automation features make device configuration and maintenance much more efficient.

The interface is clear and policies can be applied quickly, which saves a lot of time for IT teams. Documentation and resources are also helpful when setting up new configurations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

That said, some advanced customization options could be a bit more flexible. Overall, it’s been a very positive experience and a good choice for organizations looking to simplify Apple device management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, Real-Time Tracking That Boosts Efficiency and Accountability"
What do you like best about Iru?

What I like best about Iru is the tracking feature. It gives clear, real-time visibility into activities and progress, which makes monitoring tasks and workflows much easier. Having everything tracked in one place reduced follow-ups, improved accountability, and helped me spot issues early. It noticeably improved efficiency and saved time compared to manual tracking methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

The tracking feature could be improved in terms of customization and performance. In some cases, it lacks flexible filters and advanced reporting options, which makes it harder to analyze data for specific time ranges or use cases. Occasional delays in updates also reduce real-time accuracy. Adding more configurable tracking views, faster refresh times, and exportable reports would significantly enhance the overall experience. "Game-Changing Automation and AI Insights in One Streamlined Device Management Hub"
What do you like best about Iru?

The automation and AI-driven insights are absolute game-changers. Iru has successfully unified Apple, Windows, and Android management into a single, sleek interface. The "Auto Apps" library is particularly impressive—it handles patching and updates for over 200 applications autonomously, which has drastically reduced our IT ticket volume. The zero-touch deployment via Apple Business Manager works flawlessly every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

The transition from the Kandji branding to Iru was a bit sudden, and while the AI features are powerful, the learning curve for advanced "Assignment Maps" can be a bit steep for new admins. Additionally, the list view customization in the admin console could be more flexible to allow for better filtering of massive device fleets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Implementation and Easy Migration Automation"
What do you like best about Iru?

It truly shows. I spend less time in the portal than I did with our previous MDM solution. It took me about a week to understand the basic workflows, and then less than two weeks to have something fully implemented and ready for migration. Their migration automation was very easy to use, and it created a good end-user experience on our side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I wouldn’t say I dislike it, but I was hoping new features—such as the simplified PSSO—would be available, and that we could use Dynamic SCEP instead of Static or even the ability to select either or. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Device Management with Powerful Endpoints"
What do you like best about Iru?

I really like the blueprint function and the ability to do conditional logic based on different attributes of different devices. That's been really helpful for us so far. I also really like the ability to add new software to the library catalog, which we can then add to the app store that's available on people's laptops so that they can easily install stuff without having to go out onto the Internet and do it themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

The only thing I could think of is the ability to add our own custom software to the catalog. I believe right now, we have to request it to be done on the Iru side, but sometimes it'd be nice if we could just do it ourselves. Especially for, like, a homegrown application that we develop in house. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One-Stop Solution for Device Management"
What do you like best about Iru?

I really like that Iru is a one-stop shop for managing all of our devices. It's very user friendly, and I didn't need any specialized training. I was able to follow their documentation to create a well-built system for our business. The ease of use, alongside cost and customer service, was a big factor for switching from Hexnode. The initial setup was very easy. I also appreciate how Iru helps us manage app control on iPads and Macs with its blueprint system, scan for vulnerabilities, implement patch management, and integrate Google Workspace for a secure login system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Windows is still a new feature in their tool belt and is continuously being upgraded. I'm looking forward to additional features that they are adding for that platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rock-Solid macOS Management That Just Works"
What do you like best about Iru?

We have been using Iru for macOS management for the past few years, and the biggest thing for us is reliability. It just works. New hires receive a Mac that is ready on day one with the right apps and security settings already in place. Updates and policy changes happen in the background without creating disruption. For a team that is mostly Mac based, that consistency has made a real difference Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

There was a bit of a learning curve early on as we refined our policies and figured out the best way to structure things for our environment. It took some upfront time to get everything dialed in. Once it was set up properly though, it has been very steady. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Kandji/Iru: The Easiest Way to Manage Your Growing Apple Fleet"
What do you like best about Iru?

The ease of use and intuitive interface of Iru are exceptional. The platform allowed us to achieve full device management for our Mac and iOS fleet incredibly fast, making the Ease of Implementation a major upside. We especially appreciate the one-click actions, pre-built Blueprints, and how straightforward it is to deploy apps and enforce compliance. Their Customer Support has also been responsive and extremely knowledgeable whenever we've needed assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

While there's very little to dislike, we are looking forward to the continued expansion of features, particularly for advanced Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) capabilities and deeper integration with other core security platforms we use. This is a minor point, as the platform is already excellent for our core MDM needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"So Easy to Use—App Updates Just Work"
What do you like best about Iru?

It's so easy to use. Especially compared to our previous mac MDM solution. It also works really well. Under our previous system we consistently struggled to deploy updates to Keynote/Numbers in a timely manner. We had to rely on on our MSP to package them. Even when they were packaged and deployed on time, our users often couldn't update. Our IT desk admin spent hours in meetings uninstalling apps so users could reinstall via self service. In some cases that didn't work, so we had to temporarily unblock the app store for users. Iru just works. We added the auto app to our library and no one has had to think about it since. We also were able to handle the migration from our told MDM to Iru fully in house. Setting up blueprints and ensuring compliance with various security frameworks is very intuitive. There's a huge catalog of auto apps available, but adding custom apps is super simple too. No additional packaging software required (aside from a profile editor, but that's not strictly needed). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Remembering exactly where each setting is controlled can sometimes get confusing- but the AI support chat agent is very well trained and helpful in these cases. List view customization/filtering options in the admin console is the biggest piece that's missing for me. Several of the fields on a user record are unavailable as a display on the device list view. I would love to be able to instantly see a view of everyone who had installed a certain application or is affected by a specific error message. You can get around this with tagging- but it's annoying if you want to see something quickly and don't plan on re-running the search again. The alerts page shows device name, but not user name, so if i want to reach out to that person i have to go into the device record to see who it belongs to. The over all features make up for small UI annoyances Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use with Quick Support, but Batch Requirements and Features Lag vs Jamf"
What do you like best about Iru?

I like the ease of use, quick support and growth into windows devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

it seems Iru is not targeted towards small companies by requiring batche sof 25 devices, some companies do not need that many at one time. Being able to manage our usage and billing in portal would be helpful as well.

Functionality wise it does have some lacking features compared to Jamf. And i wish there was more granular control on some library items like if/then statements. A good example is being able to more clearly enforce a OS -2 policy. I'd like to be able to let people be on the last two major OS releases but then also manage them both more drill down for folks that are on each. Right now it seems like i can only drill down into one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
