## Slack Reviews
 ### 1. Easy-to-Use Channels That Keep Project Conversations Organized

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica L. | Head of Marketing & Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

different channels make it easy to organize conversations for those involved in a certain project.

pretty easy to use and navigate

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Hard to DM people, I wish it was easier to search for convos or for a DM. It's not intuitive to click the "..." and then the "start DM" button, I wish there was a short cut to just easily search the person you want to message individually.

Also wish notifications were more customizable, I get sooo many notifications on slack

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-keeping project conversations organized by who is involved instead of having the entire organization in every chat
-we work remote/ async so we utilize slack all the time and its crucial to business operations. We also have a community membership and we use slack as a way for members to get in touch with one another and spark conversations, as well as to deliver member only information which we wouldn't be able to do with something like teams because a lot of our members are not a part of our organization

 ### 2. Clean, Easy-to-Use Team Communication with Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajeev kumar N. | Lead IT Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack has a clean UI and is very easy to use for daily communication. Channels help organize conversations properly, and the search feature makes it easy to find old messages and files.

As an admin, user management and access control are simple to handle. Slack also supports many app integrations like Google Drive, Zoom, Jira, GitHub, and other business tools, which helps automate workflows and improve productivity.

Overall, Slack provides fast, organized, and smooth communication for teams.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Some basic admin features, like better channel management and restricting who can post in channels, are not available in all plans.

To access these controls, organizations may need to upgrade to higher-tier plans, which can increase the cost.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack improves team communication by providing fast and organized messaging through channels and direct chats. It reduces dependency on emails for internal communication.

The app integrations are very useful, especially with tools like Jira, GitHub, Google Drive, and Zoom, which help teams manage work from one place.

Slack is also very effective for sending multiple critical update notifications, making sure important alerts and announcements are quickly visible to teams.

Overall, it improves collaboration, response time, and daily productivity.

 ### 3. Slack Keeps Communication Organized, Fast, and Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jyotishman G. | Senior Account Executive, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack has been really helpful for my freelance work because it keeps all project communication in one place. It’s straightforward to use, and I can quickly check updates, reply to messages, and stay aligned on what’s needed without missing important details.

What I like most is how much smoother it makes coordination and how much time it saves. Rather than bouncing between different apps or digging through long message threads, everything stays organized in one spot and is easy to follow.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes Slack’s interface lags on my PC, which is frustrating when I’m trying to move quickly. It can slow down simple things like checking updates or switching between conversations, and that interruption breaks my flow, especially during busy projects.

Overall, Slack still works well for communication, but the occasional lag makes the experience feel less smooth than I’d like.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve the problem of scattered communication by bringing all my freelance project updates, messages, and discussions into one place. It keeps me organized, makes it easier to respond quickly, and lets me track work more smoothly without missing important details.

 ### 4. Organized, Efficient Team Communication with Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhanush p. | LLM S2 Annotator, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how it keeps team communication organized and efficient. Instead of dealing with long email chains, Slack supports real-time messaging through channels and direct messages, along with integrations with tools like GitHub, Google Drive, and Jira. This makes collaboration quicker, improves transparency across the team, and keeps project-related conversations in one searchable place. I also appreciate being able to share files, automate notifications, and connect workflows, which saves a lot of time and helps boost productivity.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is that it can sometimes feel overwhelming because of the constant stream of messages and notifications, especially in larger teams with lots of active channels. Important information can easily get buried in ongoing conversations, which makes it harder to keep track of updates and follow what matters most. On top of that, too many notifications can hurt focus and productivity if they aren’t managed carefully. The free version also limits message history and integrations, which can be restrictive for some teams depending on their needs.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication and inefficient collaboration within teams. Rather than relying on long email threads or juggling multiple communication tools, Slack brings messaging, file sharing, project discussions, and app integrations together in one platform. For me, this improves the speed of communication, makes it easier to coordinate with teammates, helps me quickly find shared information, and keeps me updated on project progress in real time. It also boosts productivity by reducing delays and keeping work more organized overall.

 ### 5. Intuitive, Fast, and Integration-Rich Communication with Slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cesar T. | Especialista en TI, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is its intuitive, lightning-fast interface and how effortlessly it supports organized communication through channels. Compared with other platform hubs, Slack feels less cluttered and does a better job of keeping conversations focused and easy to follow. Its ecosystem of integrations is also incredible—connecting apps like Jira, GitHub, or PagerDuty directly into our chats lets us manage workflows and respond to notifications without constantly switching contexts.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

What I dislike most is the pricing structure, which becomes expensive as teams scale and can be difficult to justify for smaller organizations. Also, while huddled threads are useful, they can quickly get messy and hard to follow when multiple conversations are happening at the same time within a single post. On top of that, the notification settings take quite a bit of fine-tuning to keep them from becoming overwhelming during busy workdays.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve internal email overload and the delays that often come with communication in technical teams. Rather than waiting on long email threads for updates on ongoing projects or system issues, conversations and updates happen instantly in one place.
For me, this streamlines incident response and day-to-day collaboration. With monitoring alerts, ticket updates, and engineering discussions integrated into dedicated channels, we can troubleshoot in real time and resolve issues faster, while keeping our workflows dynamic, transparent, and easy to follow.

 ### 6. Effortless Team Communication and File Sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruby Ann G. | Customer Service Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like about recent improvements in Slack is how much more intelligent and organized it has become with AI features. Slack AI helps quickly summarize long conversations, catch up on missed threads, and surface key decisions without scrolling endlessly.

I also appreciate the improved workflow automation through Workflow Builder, which reduces repetitive tasks, and the stronger integration ecosystem that connects tools like Google Drive, Salesforce, and Zoom more seamlessly. These updates make team communication faster, more searchable, and far less noisy, especially in large channels.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

A few honest areas where Slack could still improve:

One big opportunity is reducing information overload. Even with AI summaries and filters, large workspaces still get noisy quickly, and important decisions can get buried in long threads or active channels. Better default “signal over noise” prioritization would help.

Another area is consistency and reliability in advanced features like huddles, file handling, and integrations. Some teams still report occasional glitches or workflow friction when switching between tools or using heavier features at scale.

Slack’s growing AI layer is powerful, but it could improve in transparency and control—for example, clearer visibility into what Slack AI is summarizing or prioritizing, and more granular user control over AI-generated insights.

Finally, there’s room to improve work tracking inside conversations. Messages often turn into informal task systems, and without structure, accountability can get lost unless teams deliberately use Lists or external tools.

Overall, Slack is strong as a communication hub, but the next step is making it feel less like a stream of messages and more like a truly structured workspace

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Slack, I was able to communicate effectively with my teammates. Whenever I have a question, I can simply search for a specific word in the channel, and if someone has asked it before, I can easily find the answer in the chat history. I recall a time when a provider asked me whether a certain type of service was covered. I tried reaching out to my supervisor but didn’t get a response, so I used the search box in the relevant channel. I quickly found the information I needed and was able to give the provider an accurate answer. Some of my colleagues had already asked that same question in our channel. Slack really helps me deliver better service and satisfaction to my callers.

 ### 7. Superb, Decluttered Messaging App with Fast Search and Easy Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil M. | Software Development Engineer 2, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Finding search history quickly. Sending someone messages as linked threads so you don't have to repeat it. Easy setup as desktop, web and mobile. Message forwarding, gif apps integrations. Only thing this is a superb app decluttered discord and should be free because it's best.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Huddles are still bad. It should be auto-integrated with google calendar as to where my time was spent from x to y time. Also, it's difficult to share screen and switch to chat in terms of UI, don't know where to click. You cna learn from Google Meet.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

External connect is also a good feature that lets you chat with someone outside your organization which leaves the hassle of you emailing the same stuff and gets you a consistent chat conversation rather than a disconnected one.

 ### 8. User-Friendly Slack That Makes Team Collaboration Smooth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rakshika S. | AI Specialization Student, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I started using Slack for the first time in 2024 for my Deep Learning project and for team collaboration. What I like most is that the UI is user-friendly, communication is fast, and the channels are well organized. It has helped me a lot with managing team discussions, sharing files between us, and keeping updates in one place, so I don’t miss important messages like deadlines, etc.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is that there are too many notifications and active channels, which feels very overwhelming during my busy project work. I’ve also noticed that older messages aren’t always easy to find quickly in large group conversations. But that’s okay—overall, I like it, and the collaboration experience is very smooth.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of scattered communication across Google Classroom, WhatsApp groups, and other platforms. Here, file sharing and project discussions are brought together in one place. For me, it really improved coordination during the AI project because updates, resources, and team discussions stayed organized in dedicated channels. That saved a lot of time and reduced confusion compared with relying on email threads or juggling multiple apps. and also ai summarizer is great it solves a lot of time for summarizing the conversation quickly.

 ### 9. Slack Keeps Our Team Collaboration Organized and Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maulik P. | Delivery Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is a highly collaborative platform that has become central to how our team works together. It is easy to use, with an intuitive interface that requires very little onboarding. Since adopting Slack, our productivity has noticeably increased because conversations are organized into channels and threads, keeping discussions focused. Communication is effortless, and I especially appreciate how easy it is to exchange visual information alongside text - sharing screenshots, images, and files happens seamlessly. The huddle and call features are excellent for jumping into quick voice or video conversations without scheduling a meeting elsewhere.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Honestly there is very little to dislike. If anything, notifications can sometimes get overwhelming across many active channels, and the free plan's message history limit can feel restrictive for smaller teams. But these are minor compared to the overall value Slack provides.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication that used to be spread across emails, chat apps, and meetings. By centralizing conversations into organized channels, our team collaborates more effectively and stays aligned on projects. It has improved our productivity because information is searchable and decisions are documented in one place. The ability to easily exchange visual information like screenshots, designs, and files alongside text means feedback loops are faster. Quick calls and huddles eliminate the need to schedule formal meetings for short discussions, saving time and keeping work moving.

 ### 10. Slack Makes Cross-Functional Communication Seamless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** tarun98 A. | Cloud Engineer Intern, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack helps an entire project communicate easily through channels. Cross-functional teams can collaborate smoothly, and an organization’s employee profiles are accessible within a workspace. Bots can also be set up to automate reminders and updates. It’s also helpful for quickly looping in colleagues when there are problems with impact. The Huddle feature for calling colleagues is crisp, and I haven’t had any issues with it so far. Overall, it’s great for seamless communication and for getting in touch with SMEs, POCs, and even leadership. The main downside is that too many channels can start to feel messy and harder to manage.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Too many channels can get messy, a strong Wi-Fi is recommended while huddling, can lead to audio delays and screen share issues, hard to find an exact conversation when you need to.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy access to anyone within your organization, especially since organizations nowadays encourage colleague to be online on slack at all times during shift hours. Slack status helps us know when someone is unavailable instead of directly contacting them.

 ### 11. A centre for collaboration and communication for your business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy I. | Head of CRM, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It’s very customisable and helps organisations work better together. I really like being able to set up different types of channels and groups, depending on what the team needs. The new canvas feature has also improved the quality of my 1:1s, because it makes the information you need easy to find and access in one place.

It’s also useful for communicating across organisations. On top of that, there are loads of integrations with other apps like Google Suite, Kadence, Miro, and more, which means you rarely need to leave Slack to stay on top of your work day.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Although I’m a big fan overall, it can still be hard to track down previous conversations. The search functionality isn’t great, and the AI features haven’t reached a point where they feel truly indispensable. I’d also add that, despite improvements over the years, managing the sheer volume of chats and channels I’m part of remains difficult.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's really all about communication and enabling teams to work better together. Features like threads, emoji reactions, cross-organisation chats and canvas mean that there are a whole host of ways for working in a way that suits your business.

 ### 12. Simple and Reliable Tool for Daily Team Communication and Automation Updates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandeep V. | QA Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how easy it makes day-to-day communication within the team. We use different channels for projects, QA discussions, release updates, and automation notifications, which keeps conversations organized instead of mixing everything in emails. Sharing screenshots, documents, and quick updates is very smooth, and the search feature also helps find recent discussions quickly.

One feature that has been especially useful for us is Incoming Webhooks. We integrated our Selenium automation framework with Slack, so after every automation execution, the test summary is posted directly into a dedicated Slack channel. Previously, we used to send automation reports through Email, but Slack made the process much faster and easier for the team to track in real time.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One limitation I noticed in Slack is the restricted chat history in the free version. Sometimes we need to refer to discussions or shared files from older projects, but older conversations are not always available. Apart from that, the overall experience has been very smooth for daily collaboration and communication.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve the problem of scattered communication and delayed updates within the team. Earlier, most communication and automation results were shared through emails, which made tracking conversations and updates difficult. With Slack, project discussions, bug clarifications, screenshots, files, and automation notifications are all available in one place.

For example, our Selenium automation framework sends execution results directly to a Slack channel using Incoming Webhooks. This allows the QA team and developers to immediately see passed or failed executions without waiting for emails. It has improved visibility, reduced communication delays, and made collaboration much more efficient during daily work.

 ### 13. Fast and Organized Team Communication System for the Workplace

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fuad Al A. | Content Editor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like Slack because it keeps team communication organized and easy to follow. The channel system helps separate topics, so conversations don’t get mixed up. It reduces the need for long email threads.

The search feature makes it easy to find past messages, files, or links without wasting time.

Finally, the integration support. I can integrate with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and project management platforms. So, I don't have to switch between multiple apps during work.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack can sometimes feel overwhelming when I need to stay active across many channels and group conversations at the same time. A large number of notifications quickly flood the dashboard, which can become distracting during busy workdays. In fast-moving teams, important messages may also get buried under ongoing discussions, making them easy to miss.

In those situations, the search feature becomes very important. While it is generally helpful for finding older messages, shared files, or specific conversations, the experience is not always as smooth as I would like, especially in large workspaces with a long message history.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of managing long email threads or using random chat apps, everything stays in one place and is neatly organized through channels. Since conversations are maintained in threads, they also work as a form of documentation. This makes it much easier for me to show accountability to senior officials.

For me, it saves a lot of time and reduces confusion. Besides, I can quickly find updates, share files, and coordinate with team members without going through long email chains. It also improves collaboration because everyone stays aligned in real time.

 ### 14. Streamlining Team Communication with Seamless Huddles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dev M. | SR AR Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

In our organization, Slack serves as our official communication medium, keeping everyone aligned. Beyond text-based chat, we frequently use the Huddle feature for quick, seamless voice and video collaboration. Additionally, the ability to build and implement workflow automation is fantastic—it really helps our teams optimize daily tasks and work much more efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the constant stream of messages and notifications can become overwhelming, making it difficult to focus on deep work. It requires strict personal setting management to avoid notification fatigue and maintain a good work-life balance.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses the issue of scattered workplace communication and slow responses. Before we started using it, keeping up with updates across long email threads and multiple platforms was inefficient and easy to lose track of.

By bringing our official communication into dedicated channels, it has significantly improved our team’s transparency and alignment. The most immediate benefit has been the time saved: we can sort out issues right away through quick Huddles and keep projects moving without having to wait hours for email replies.

 ### 15. How Slack Became My Central Workspace for Collaboration, Integrations, and Everyday Productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonardo S. | Salesforce Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is that it goes far beyond being just a messaging platform. The integration with Salesforce and other tools makes collaboration much more efficient by centralizing communication, notifications, workflows, and updates in one place.

I especially like how you can interact with business processes directly from Slack, automate tasks, and stay connected with your team without constantly switching between platforms. Features like channels, huddles, integrations, and Slack AI help keep communication organized and productive instead of overwhelming.

The user experience is intuitive, performance is reliable in day-to-day usage, and the onboarding experience is smooth even for new users. From a business perspective, Slack can significantly improve team collaboration, productivity, and response time, which brings real value to organizations using it as a central workspace.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the amount of notifications and conversations happening at the same time can feel overwhelming, especially in highly active communities or large organizations.

It can take some time to fully organize channels and customize the experience in the best way for your workflow.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps centralize communication, collaboration, and business workflows in a single platform instead of spreading conversations across emails, meetings, and multiple tools.

One of the biggest benefits for me is the integration with Salesforce, which makes it possible to stay connected to updates, notifications, and processes directly from Slack without constantly switching platforms. This improves productivity, speeds up communication, and makes collaboration much more efficient.

From a business perspective, reducing communication friction and centralizing collaboration can save time and improve overall efficiency, which makes the platform feel very valuable for teams and organizations using it daily.

It also creates a stronger sense of community and real-time collaboration, especially when working with global teams and professional communities.

Considering the amount of collaboration, integrations, automation, and productivity improvements it provides, I believe Slack delivers strong value for the investment.

 ### 16. Clean, Straightforward UI with Helpful Customization and Time-Saving Summaries

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omkar S. | Information Security Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really appreciate how straightforward the app is and how clean the UI looks, and it has performed consistently well for me. The theme customization options are genuinely useful, and the chat summarization feature saves me time by cutting down on how much I need to scroll back and reread earlier messages. Huddles are another great feature, and they’ve been a helpful addition to the overall experience. Integrations are solid as well, including Jira, Calendar, and others.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It automatically switches to quiet mode and pauses notifications for all messages, which really shouldn’t be enabled by default. Also, Huddles should allow remote control of the machine that’s sharing its screen.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes communication easy and reduces the time I spend reading previous messages, thanks to the AI summary. Message Threads are also useful to organize messages as per the topic. Makes past discussions, files, and decisions searchable and transparent for the whole team.

 ### 17. Great for Project Chats and Quick Huddles, But Notifications and Search Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashish Z. | Community Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love how easy it is to organize chat channels by specific projects and teams. It completely stops me from wasting hours searching through endless emails, and the real-time huddles feature makes it incredibly fast to jump on a quick voice call to solve problems instantly with colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The notification system can become incredibly overwhelming and noisy when you belong to multiple active channels, as the non-stop pings make it very difficult to stay focused. Additionally, the built-in search functionality often feels clumsy and inaccurate when you are trying to find specific files or older buried conversations from months ago.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack completely solves the problem of messy, scattered email threads by moving all team communications into organized, real-time channels. This benefits me by streamlining my daily workflow, keeping all project files instantly accessible in one clear place, and making it effortless to collaborate with others without losing track of important updates.

 ### 18. Discord but for Corporate, clears communication gaps in remote companies.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh M. | Software Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that it is the corporate version of Discord, in a UI/UX sense, and includes all the features someone in an office would use, just like someone gaming or chatting would in Discord. Such features include marking people as VIP, muting certain threads, and the ability to add code snippets, which is particularly useful.

It has good integration with GitHub, but its behaviour is a bit inconsistent, because one of my colleagues wasn't able to get the embed to show, and he was sure he hadn't disabled it when prompted initially, and we couldn't figure out how to enable GitHub embeds for him like they were on for me. JFYI, he had his GitHub connected to Slack.

I can imagine Slack lacking some performance on low-end devices, but that's an issue with all the browser-based applications (Electron), so I can't totally blame them.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

If there were a solution for the lags and delays during screen share with a lot of people on call, it would be good. Another thing is also the huddle control bar that appears when in a huddle, and the sharing screen becomes a blank bar on Mac OS sometimes (rarely, but observed by my senior colleague and me too).

Also, there should be an easier way to just silence or completely remove some Apps/Integrations on a personal user level, as they can get pretty annoying, and muting doesn't work. e.g., Birthday Bot with the "I'd like to remind you about some important events" message now and then.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is solving the communication gap between corporate employees and removing the complexity of apps like MS Teams, making it just super simple to connect with teams, make groups, make quick calls or proper meetings, and has the tools to conduct all of this smoothly for any medium-sized remote environment.

 ### 19. Slack Makes Teamwork Simple and Keeps Everyone Connected

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Uchenna D. | Grill Cook, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes teamwork feel simple. I really like how easy it is to jump into a channel, share updates, and follow conversations without losing track. Being able to send quick messages, react with emojis, and keep files organized in one place makes collaboration feel smooth and natural. Overall, it helps keep everyone connected and on the same page.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One downside of Slack is that conversations can end up scattered across multiple channels, which makes it easy to miss important updates. When several threads are active at the same time, it can feel overwhelming to keep track of what’s happening where. Notifications also build up quickly, and that can interrupt my focus.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps cut down communication delays and keeps work organized by bringing conversations, files, and updates into one place. Before I started using it, information was scattered across long email threads, and it was easy to miss important details. Now, channels keep discussions focused and make it clearer where different topics belong, while real-time messaging speeds up decision-making. The search feature also saves time, since it’s simple to pull up past conversations and quickly find shared documents when I need them.

 ### 20. Intuitive Team Chat and Strong Integrations, but macOS App Slows Down and Pricing Adds Up

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisc C. | Software Engineer, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The user interface is very intuitive, and it’s probably the easiest team chat app to use. The integrations with external services are genuinely helpful, and the ecosystem feels mature enough that you can find pretty much everything you need.

Most of the issues I’ve run into are with the macOS native app. It’s quite slow and not very reliable: I often have to restart it, and sometimes thread replies don’t show up at all. Because of that, I mostly stick to the web version, which works much better for me.

Another downside is the pricing. It gets very expensive if you have a big team.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The biggest downside is the pricing. It is good software, but there are cheaper alternatives out there

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack makes it very easy to share chats and knowledge bases with external teams. At the company I work for, we don’t use Slack internally, but for collaborating with clients and service providers it’s instrumental.

 ### 21. Slack Streamlines Team Communication with Intuitive Integrations and Brilliant AI Summaries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse B. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack creates a single source of turth of communication acorss teams both internal and external teams. While it doesnt have all the tools you will need in your tech stack it typically will have a connector to that tool such as google drive, outlook, dropbox, troll, etc.... It is fairly intutitve tool and can be customized to fit your needs. I find it to be very responsive and easy to use. The cost of it i nominal when you consider the streamlined benefits of clear communication. The only difficuly I would say is that when you are handling extremely large teams the messaging and the notifications can feel a bit overwhelming at times. The ai tool, espeically the summaratization tool is brilliant and saves you hours of recap. Lastly the support while mostly auto pilot is easy to access and intutitve to handle.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I personally wish that slack had it's ony project management features and more kanban style moood boards this would replace many other tools i have to patquilt in my tech stack and give me a more seemless working experience.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack saves me time having to onboard thru clunk means espeically for remote teams.

 ### 22. Slack Made Freelance Client Communication Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suman D. | Freelance Web and graphic Designer || Illustrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack has been a very important tool in my freelancing journey. It helps me stay connected with clients professionally and keeps communication organized. The private channels feature is one of the best parts because I can create separate workspaces for each client, making project discussions, file sharing, and updates easy to manage.

The UI/UX is clean, modern, and very beginner-friendly. Everything is easy to navigate, from messaging and notifications to file uploads and team collaboration. Even clients who are not very tech-savvy can use it comfortably.

Slack also offers excellent integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, Trello, and Dropbox, which improves productivity and saves time during project management. Having everything connected in one platform makes freelancing work much smoother.

In terms of performance, Slack runs reliably and delivers messages instantly without major issues. The desktop and mobile apps both work well, allowing me to communicate with clients from anywhere.

The pricing is affordable and provides great value for freelancers and small teams. Even the free version includes many useful features, while the paid plans are reasonably priced for the productivity benefits they offer.

The onboarding experience is simple, and setting up channels or inviting clients takes only a few minutes. Customer support resources and help articles are also easy to access whenever needed.

I also like the AI and intelligence features that help improve productivity by making searches, message organization, and workflow management smarter and faster. It helps save time and makes communication more efficient during client projects.

Overall, Slack is an excellent communication and collaboration platform that has helped me manage client relationships, organize projects efficiently, and improve my freelancing workflow.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I don’t have many complaints about Slack because overall it has been very useful for my freelancing work. However, sometimes I notice a small glitch in the web version where a chat section gets stuck in an infinite loading loop. It usually fixes itself after refreshing the page, but it can interrupt workflow occasionally. Other than that, my experience with Slack has been very positive.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Slack, managing freelance client communication across multiple platforms was difficult and unorganized. Important messages, project files, and feedback were often scattered between email, WhatsApp, and other apps, which slowed down workflow and sometimes caused confusion.

After switching to Slack, I was able to create private channels for each client and keep everything organized in one place. This improved communication, reduced missed messages, and made project collaboration much faster and more professional. Features like file sharing, integrations, notifications, and AI-powered search tools helped save time and increased productivity during daily work.

Slack has also helped me respond to clients faster and manage multiple projects more efficiently. The simple user interface and affordable pricing make it a great solution for freelancers and small teams. Overall, it has improved my workflow, client communication, and project management experience significantly.

 ### 23. Slack Makes Cross-Team Communication Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca I. | Senior Operations Manager, Food Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack has been great for our company. The biggest benefit has been how easy it makes communication between departments and across 4 different locations. We use different channels to share schedules, deliveries, launches, and product changes, and it also gives staff a simple place to ask questions. We also rely on private messaging, which feels more informal and quicker than email.

We’ve been on the free plan for roughly two years now. I can see there are plenty of perks with the paid offerings, but we haven’t needed them yet; still, they seem like they’d be a strong fit for a growing business. Over the years we’ve had zero issues, and adding or disabling staff has been a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One drawback for me, as the account “owner,” is that I can’t see all channels to understand how many have been created, who is creating them, and whether there’s any overlap. I believe that kind of visibility may be included as a perk on the paid plan. In my opinion, the pricing structure starts quite high, so we can’t justify the cost right now, even though I’m sure there are many integrations and other pros with the paid plans. One other big thing I wish Slack had is autocorrect and grammar support.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication. It gives us a simple, central place to communicate call-outs, team projects, schedules, and live updates for certain departments. Most of our staff have downloaded the app on their phones, so everyone can access it easily.

 ### 24. Slack Makes Team Collaboration Easy and Organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehfooj A. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how easy it makes communication without feeling overwhelming. It keeps conversations organized through channels, threads, and integrations, so it’s much easier to collaborate with teams, especially during projects or fast-paced work. I also like that it works well for both quick discussions and more technical collaboration without needing endless meetings or emails.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is that it can become distracting when there are too many channels, notifications, and constant messages coming in throughout the day. Sometimes important updates get buried in conversations, especially in larger teams. It can also feel difficult to fully disconnect from work because communication is happening all the time.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve the problem of scattered communication by bringing team chats, updates, file sharing, and collaboration into one place. It makes it easier to stay aligned with teams, especially while working on projects, open source contributions, or coordinating tasks remotely. It saves time compared to long email threads and helps conversations move faster while still keeping things organized through channels and threads.

 ### 25. Slack is Powerful Central Hub for Tool Integrations and Notifications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garrick C. | Staff Software Engineer, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It integrates with so many tools that it’s easy to make it the central hub for communications and agent-based tooling interactions. It also works well for notification centralization, so you don’t have to keep an eye on multiple apps. You can simply pipe external notifications into Slack channels.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think they could do a better job of letting you create webhooks directly from the Slack app, rather than pushing you to the website to set everything up. It would also be helpful to have a wizard that walks you through the steps, so there’s less ambiguity and it can suggest best practices along the way.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me communicate across different departments in the company and keep track of follow-ups. I can subscribe to whichever channels I’m interested in, which makes it easier to stay on top of updates and not miss anything I need to know.

 ### 26. Easy Team Communication and Efficient Collaboration with Slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdelrhman A. | Freelance Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how easy it makes communication and teamwork. The channels help keep conversations organized, and the search feature makes it simple to find old messages or shared files quickly. I also like the integrations with other tools because they save time and make work more efficient. Overall, Slack helps teams collaborate faster and stay connected in a professional but simple way.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One downside of Slack is that it can become overwhelming when there are too many channels, messages, and notifications. Important updates can sometimes get buried in busy conversations. I also think the free version has limitations, especially with message history and storage. In addition, constant notifications can be distracting and reduce productivity if not managed properly.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve communication and collaboration problems within teams, especially in remote or fast-paced work environments. Instead of relying on long email threads, team members can communicate instantly, share files, and organize discussions into channels. This improves productivity, speeds up decision-making, and helps everyone stay updated on projects. It also makes collaboration easier by integrating with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and project management platforms in one place.

 ### 27. Overwhelming Interface, Needs Simplification

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony K. | Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I appreciate being able to follow multiple channels and the related conversations in my investor group since it seems very clear and straightforward, simple to use. The breakdown or sections for these different channels work very well, and I've been enjoying that. The ability to see a thread of messages and reply to specific comments seems common and easy to use. I like that feature because it ensures nothing gets forgotten in conversations.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

So my overall experience with Slack is, I would say, negative in the sense that it's all over the place. There are features and elements everywhere. Seems very complex, and I'm a tech-savvy person, but I never know exactly where on my phone I can get the latest notifications or not. I don't want a notification for everything. I don't understand when I get notified. People tag you. Sometimes they don't tag you. A message. So I never exactly know when it's for me, when it's for the community. There are some notifications I would like just for specific channels, but not everyone, and I can't easily find how to set it up. There is a huge difference between the interface on a browser versus what you get on the phone. It's very messy. It's not easy to find information. There are icons everywhere. I don't enjoy the experience at all, but it's the only option that Notion as well as the investor community proposes for this chatting. So I would rather prefer a way more lean interface, way simpler in the way to use it.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to share information interactively with my community. It makes discussions accessible, allows specific replies, and keeps threads organized, ensuring nothing gets forgotten.

 ### 28. Fast Team Communication with Smart Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav S. | Salesforce Email Executive, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how it keeps team communication organized without relying heavily on emails. Channels make it easier to separate projects, departments, and client discussions, while threads help keep conversations clean and easier to follow.

One feature I use regularly is the integration support with tools like Google Drive, Zapier, and project management platforms. Notifications and updates coming directly into Slack help reduce context switching and improve response time across teams.

The search functionality is also surprisingly useful for finding older discussions, files, or decisions quickly. In day-to-day work, this has saved a lot of time and improved collaboration, especially in remote workflows.

Another unexpected benefit is how lightweight and fast the platform feels even when multiple teams and channels are active at the same time. While notification management can sometimes become overwhelming in large workspaces, overall Slack has been reliable and productive for daily communication.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One downside of Slack is that notifications can become overwhelming when working in multiple active channels. Without proper notification settings, it is easy to get distracted or miss important updates among less relevant conversations.

Another limitation is that message history and search functionality on lower-tier plans can feel restricted for teams that need access to older discussions and files. Managing large workspaces can also become slightly cluttered over time if channels are not organized properly.

Slack integrations are useful, but occasionally some third-party app notifications can create noise instead of improving workflow. Initial onboarding for non-technical team members may also take some adjustment, especially when learning channel structures and workflow habits.

Despite these points, overall, the platform still provides strong value for communication and collaboration

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is solving the problem of scattered communication across teams and reducing the dependency on long email threads. Before using it, project updates, approvals, and discussions were spread across different platforms, which slowed down collaboration and made tracking conversations difficult.

With Slack channels and integrations, communication is now more centralized and organized. Teams can quickly share updates, files, and feedback in real time, which improves coordination and speeds up decision-making.

It has also helped reduce delays in daily operations because notifications from tools like project management, CRM, and automation platforms can be received directly inside Slack. This has improved visibility across tasks and reduced the need for constant manual follow-ups.

Another benefit is faster remote collaboration. Team members can respond quickly, search past discussions easily, and maintain transparency across ongoing projects, which saves time and improves productivity overall.

 ### 29. Fast, Easy Team Communication with Slack’s Great UI and Built-In AI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ainul H. | Sr. Android Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is very useful communication tool through which we can do multiple things. Most I used below features:
Chat with individuals through Direct Messages
Create channels for different teams or projects
Share files, images, and documents
Use for Audio and Video Calls
Main things is in organisation we can use channel to share information across the team members.
UI UX is good and easy to use.
Performance is good and faster

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack AI doesn’t feel like a truly free feature. Overall, Slack is good, but as the team grows, the price grows too. The free plan also has storage limits, while the paid plan doesn’t.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating it as part of an Android app is straightforward, and the features are easy to use. It offers dedicated workspaces, which help me manage different projects and set up separate channels for each one. The channels are well organised, so it’s easier to keep track of conversations. Discussions often end up scattered across email, phone calls, or WhatsApp, but Slack keeps everything together in organised channels.

 ### 30. Streamlined Communication but Needs Better Notification Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khushal S. | Junior Odoo Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack as my primary hub for team communication, technical discussions, and code review coordination. I love how Slack streamlines daily team communication through structured channels, context-focused tracking, and instant audio and screen sharing huddles. Slack huddles are absolutely my favorite as they are instant and without the hassle of scheduling a meeting. The structured channels create clear boundaries for different projects, clients, and topics, providing a more organized communication space instead of a chaotic chat. Slack is integral to our company's communication and collaboration, solving problems like delayed decision-making and reducing email clutter. The initial setup of Slack was very straightforward and required minimal effort, making workspace creation, channel setup, and team member invitations easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I find managing notification noise overwhelming as there's no manual mute button for individual channels, and I notice that replies in threads often get lost or overlooked.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to streamline communication, reduce email clutter, and coordinate code reviews. It solves issues like delayed decision-making and unproductive meetings, enhancing efficiency and workflow integration.

 ### 31. Intuitive, Efficient, and Essential for Team Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad Raacikh A. | Manager Strategy & Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really like the intuitive UI of Slack. I've used some other competitors across my career, but Slack has been the easiest to use. I really like the threads feature that allows effective team communication and I love the emoji section within the threads where you can communicate without having to write a word. The fact that Slack now has external connectors is amazing; you can connect AI agents and have them perform multiple tasks, which is very effective and saves a lot of time. Also, setting up Slack is quite convenient and doesn't take a lot of time because the UI is very intuitive. I would rate it a solid nine out of 10. I thoroughly enjoy using Slack.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Yeah. Recently, I've been struggling a lot with the Huddle feature. I really liked that feature previously, but I don't know if it's something on my end or whatever, but I've heard this feedback across different team members also. The Huddle feature isn't the most effective now. It usually gets dropped or there's a lag between the people who are conversing over Huddle, I mean, that's a bit frustrating.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack resolves communication gaps in my team by enabling easy chat with external stakeholders, making conversations efficient and less time-consuming compared to email.

 ### 32. Best Way to Connect with the Salesforce Community Worldwide

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarthak S. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

i am using this from last 6 to 7 months and this appilication is the best source to join and connect with the community and the workspaces as i'm the active member of the salesforce community so this software helps me alot to fulfill the bridge of the different commnunity members sitting across the world.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

the only thing is when a new user starts using this application then it is very hard to understand the Slack Interface at first but after using sometime we get used to of it

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i would say connecting with different salesforce community members and giving the platform with a bunch of features to make the connection more seamless

 ### 33. Effortless Team Communication, Needs Better Notification Control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akinlabi I. | Compensation and Benefit Analyst | Payroll Specialist , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love how easy Slack makes communication across teams. The search function helps me quickly find previous conversations, shared files, and decisions without needing to ask colleagues to resend information. I appreciate how threads keep replies connected to the original message, ensuring channels remain organized. I also enjoy the integration tools like Google and Jira. These integrations allow us to share documents, receive updates, and track tasks directly within Slack, saving time and reducing the need to switch between tools. Setting up Slack was so easy that I even adopted it for my personal side projects.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think better notification control and clearer prioritization of important messages would improve the overall experience. Important messages can easily get buried, especially in busy teams.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to streamline team communication, project coordination, and reduce unnecessary meetings. It solves scattered communication issues, organizes conversations, and integrates tools like Jira, helping us find information quickly and stay efficient.

 ### 34. Convenient Communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya L. | Human Resources Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really enjoy how convenient Slack is, since it lets me quickly get to the pages I need to communicate with specific people. I especially appreciate the channels feature because I can separate projects by name and easily stay in touch with everyone involved. I also like getting notified when I have a message so I can make sure I follow up promptly. The huddle functionality is also very helpful for holding meetings right from the platform, simply by pressing the headphone button. Then you could invite whoever you want and talk about any conversations that need to be elaborated on or have impromptu meetings. I also really enjoy the catch up button because it allows me to catch up on things that I might have missed very quickly. I also like that I could separate out different workplaces. For example, I have an HR workplace for my HR people and I have a management workplace for all of the managers. It makes it very convenient and then you can even create channels within these workplaces that make it even easier to keep track of separate projects.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes it's hard to find previous information when you're looking for something. It can be hard to sort through all the channels and all the conversations to find what you want. The search function works okay, but I think that it should have enhanced features in order to find specifics like, if you're looking for something that's been mentioned many times in different areas, some way to narrow that down.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack lets me communicate with many people at once using video and different channels. It helps me share and receive information efficiently. I can talk to so many people at one time. Share a file that everybody can see, get feedback and have a conversation so we don't have to have a ton of different emails going back and forth. It's all in one thread.

 ### 35. Challenging Setup, Effective Communication Tool

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus Alberto G. | admission specialist, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like using Slack for chatting and having channels with my coworkers and boss, which makes communication smoother. It's great that there's a dedicated space to ask questions and get answers. I appreciate the AI help; it works great. The channels feature is especially useful as it allows each department to focus on their own queries, which I find great. Using Slack feels almost like using a phone, which is convenient.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I find it challenging to log in and think it could be easier. The initial setup of Slack was challenging and took almost three weeks.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for better communication with coworkers and my boss. Having dedicated channels helps us ask questions and keep communication organized by department.

 ### 36. Streamlined Team Communication with Robust Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meet U. | Research Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I mainly used Slack for daily communication with my development team, and it made it easy to organize conversations into channels for different projects, share files, and quickly jump on huddles when we needed to discuss something. The search feature was especially useful because I could find old messages and shared documents without scrolling through long conversations. Slack makes team communication simple and organized with channels, direct messaging, and easy file sharing. The integration and fast search help me stay productive and quickly find past conversations. I also like how easy it is to join huddles and collaborate with teammates in real time. The interface is clean, reliable, and works smoothly across both desktop and mobile. Channels help keep project discussions organized, while direct messages make quick conversations easy without cluttering team chats. Huddles are useful for resolving questions without scheduling a formal meeting. I use Slack with Google Drive, GitHub, and Jira, and the integration makes it easy to share files, track code updates, and manage project tasks without switching between multiple apps. The setup was quick and straightforward, creating a workspace, inviting team members, and getting started only took a few minutes.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I don't like that notifications can become overwhelming if you're part of many active channels, and the free version has limitations on message history. Better notification controls and more generous free plan limits would improve the experience. When I am part of several active channels, it's easy to miss important messages because there are so many notifications. I'd also like the free version to keep more message history and offer a few more advanced features before requiring an upgrade.

**Recommendations to others considering Slack:**

not needed

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for daily communication with my development team. It organizes conversations into channels, facilitates quick huddles, and has a fast search feature. It can be overwhelming with notifications in busy channels, and the free version limits message history.

 ### 37. Easy, Efficient Team Communication with Channels and Great Screen Sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus A. | Customer Service Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is very easy to use, its quick and efficient while not costing too much. It helps drive quick communication in the back office. The Channels help create different spaces where teams can communicate as a whole which is super helpful. The screenshare feature is amazing for troubleshooting things. In general it is one of the core tools we use in our day to day operations. Support is super helfpul and easy to reach, they helped make our initial set up hastle free!

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I wish there was the option to search for a specific setting and having it pop up, instead of having to manually search for the setting by scrolling through the settings menu, clicking through the tabs. I wish there was an integration that made sense for us, currently there is not.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps our day to day communication between our back office team. It helps streamline operations.

 ### 38. Slack Streamlines Team Communication with Intuitive Channels and Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yugal S. | Project Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how it brings all team communication into one organized, easy-to-navigate space. Channels make it simple to separate conversations by project, department, or topic, which has significantly reduced confusion and unnecessary meetings in our workflow.

The UI is very intuitive, so onboarding new team members is quick, and features like threaded replies and message search save a lot of time when trying to find past discussions or decisions. I also really appreciate the integrations connecting tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and project management apps keeps everything centralized and avoids constantly switching between platforms. Performance has been reliable even with multiple channels and active conversations, and notifications can be customized well so I only focus on what’s important.

Overall, it has made communication faster, more structured, and much more efficient for our team.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One downside of Slack is that notifications can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you’re in multiple active channels. Even though there are customization options, it can take a bit of time to fine-tune the settings so you’re not constantly pulled away by less important updates.

Another limitation is the message history restriction on the free plan, which can make it difficult to look back at older conversations if your team relies heavily on Slack for day-to-day communication. And with lots of integrations and channels, the workspace can occasionally start to feel cluttered if it isn’t managed carefully.

That said, these issues are relatively minor compared to the overall value Slack provides, and most of them can be addressed with the right setup and habits.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Slack, our communication was scattered across emails, phone calls, and multiple tools. That often meant missed updates, slower decision-making, and extra effort just to keep everyone informed. It was also hard to follow project discussions end to end or revisit past conversations when we needed context.

With Slack, communication is now organized into dedicated channels by team and project. This structure makes it much easier to stay aligned, share updates quickly, and find earlier messages through search. Overall, our internal communication feels noticeably faster and more transparent.

Slack has also helped reduce our reliance on meetings and long email threads. Quick discussions, file sharing, and real-time updates all happen in one place, which saves time and keeps everyone on the same page. On top of that, integrations with tools we already use have streamlined our workflow by centralizing notifications and tasks.

 ### 39. Seamless Project Management with Powerful Features and Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Soniya S. | Senior QA Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

As a project manager, I appreciate Slack's robust customer support, extensive features, and wide range of integrations. It centralizes all conversations in organized channels, making it easy to track project progress, share updates, and keep everyone aligned without the clutter of long email threads. Real-time messaging accelerates decision-making and fosters a culture of responsiveness, while its integration with tools like Trello, Asana, Google Drive, and Zoom ensures seamless workflow management within a single platform.

Slack also supports asynchronous communication, which is vital for distributed teams across different time zones. Its searchable history means no information is ever lost—decisions, files, and discussions are all accessible when needed. The ability to automate tasks and reminders through custom workflows or Slack bots saves valuable time and reduces manual follow-ups. all-in-one platform for efficient project management and team coordination.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

As a project manager, I find Slack’s high licensing cost hard to justify for smaller teams. Despite its strong communication features, it lacks built-in task management, often leads to message overload, and creates distractions. Managing numerous channels and notifications can reduce focus and efficiency in fast-paced projects.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves key challenges like scattered communication, slow decision-making, and lack of transparency. As a project manager, I benefit from centralized discussions, faster approvals, and integrations with tools like Jira and Google Drive. Its automation and asynchronous support streamline updates, reduce manual follow-ups, and improve team alignment—allowing me to focus more on facilitation and project delivery.

 ### 40. Clear and Simple Way to Stay in Sync with the Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay J. | Unemployed, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is very easy to use and helps our team stay connected throughout the day. I especially like how conversations are neatly organized into channels, which makes it simple to find updates and keep discussions on track. It also saves us a lot of time compared with getting stuck in long email threads.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes Slack feels overwhelming due to the constant stream of notifications and messages throughout the day. When several channels are active at once, it can also be hard to keep track of important conversations and not miss key updates.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication by bringing team chats, updates, and files together in one place, rather than relying on email threads or random messages. It helps me stay organized, respond more quickly, and follow project discussions easily, so I don’t miss important updates.

 ### 41. Flexible, Feature-Rich Slack That Stays Fast Even with Heavy Messaging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sangram Z. | Analyst, Maritime, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I can make different channels, as per the working responsibilities, and can also make reminders for my own work. Slack also includes options where I can link this app with different apps, so it is more flexible and easier to use. It performs well even if there are loads of messages and never lags, though I have never used any AI on slack, so cannot say much about it, but the best is it gives a lot of features with the pricing they have. While onboarding new employees it is easy to add them in the ongoing channels. AI or intelligence on Slack isnt much used by me but I think if we can link ChatGPT with slack or any other AI it would be good.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There isnt much that I dislike about Slack, but I think it should have any good AI or intelligence that can help us with any grammar mistakes while sending the messages. Also I think there should be some buffer time before sending the message so we can cancel in between in case we have send wrong message. I also think slack should provide us the ability to see the profile pic in large rather than small ones for the accounts on SLACK.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is very useful as it helps in communicating with cross functional team, internal team, yeah we can also huddle and share screen which is also a very good feature given by Slack, in short it is benefiting us in all ways that it could to run smoothly.

 ### 42. The Go-To for Internal Messaging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joaquin R. | TechOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

We wouldn’t use any other tool for internal messaging. As an admin, I’ve found the integrations with the rest of our stack to be solid, pretty much everything we use plugs into it in one way or another. Search is decent as well, especially when you actually need to dig something up. Huddles have also been a nice addition.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The admin side could be a lot better, and the pricing structure is also a bit annoying. The plans feel like they’re designed to push you into the next tier whether you actually need it or not, and the per-user cost adds up quickly.

I tried their AI features a while back and they were pretty rough. I’m not sure if they’ve improved since then, but at the time it didn’t give us any reason to stick with it.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It mainly keeps everyone connected without drowning us in email. Channels help keep conversations in the right place, and people can dip in and out of whatever’s relevant to them. That’s a big deal when you’ve got teams spread across different functions.

 ### 43. Slack Keeps Team Communication Organized and Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sierra C. | Practice Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes it easy to keep communication organized through channels, so conversations don’t get lost like they do in email. I like how fast it is to send quick messages, share files, and tag teammates for input. The integrations with other tools also make it convenient to keep everything in one place.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One downside of Slack is that notifications can become overwhelming, especially if you’re in multiple active channels. It can also be difficult to find older messages when you need them, since conversations move quickly. At times, important updates can get buried in busy threads.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps Bloom Dental solve common communication and workflow challenges by bringing all team conversations into one organized, real-time platform instead of relying on scattered texts, emails, or verbal updates that can be missed or forgotten. It improves coordination between the front desk and clinical team, allowing faster responses about patient flow, schedule changes, and room readiness, which reduces wait times and enhances the patient experience. Slack also increases visibility across the office so everyone stays aligned without constant interruptions, helps track tasks and follow-ups to prevent things from falling through the cracks, and supports smoother onboarding and training by keeping resources and updates in one place. Overall, it boosts efficiency, reduces stress for the team, and supports better productivity and patient care, as long as it’s used appropriately without sharing sensitive patient information unless properly configured for compliance.

 ### 44. The site where all the team's communication converges

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina J. | Principal CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is the organization by channels, which allows conversations to be separated by topics and prevents everything from being mixed up, as happens in other applications. I also like the threads, as they help maintain the flow of the channel when someone wants to comment on something specific. We use huddles quite a bit for quick calls within Slack itself, without needing to set up a separate meeting. Additionally, the number of integrations with other tools makes Slack the center of many of our daily activities: the integrations with Google Calendar and GitHub, for example, work very well and are especially valuable to us.

Regarding the price, the plan we have seems reasonable for what it offers, although the jump between the free and paid plans is quite noticeable, especially due to the message history limit in the free version. For a small team, once you decide to stay, it is worth paying to have full searches and all available features.

The onboarding was very self-service. Creating the workspace and starting to invite the team is done in minutes, and the app itself guides you a bit at the beginning to set up the basics. Anyone on the team, even if they are not very technical, can start using it on the first day without major problems.

In terms of AI, the most recent features (automatic summaries of long threads, improved search) are especially helpful when you return from a few days away and need to catch up without having to read hundreds of messages. It's not the reason we use Slack, but it's a useful complement that has been maturing.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The truth is that notifications are sometimes chaotic. Configuring them properly by channel, by schedule, by message type... you end up having too many or too few and it's hard to find the balance. The desktop app sometimes consumes a lot of resources and it really affects the laptop's battery, especially if you have several workspaces open at the same time.

Another thing that doesn't convince me is the limit of the free plan on message history: there are times when you need to search for something from months ago and you can't see it unless you're on a paid plan, which practically forces you to jump to a higher plan sooner than you'd like if you want to have a real memory of the workspace.

Also, when you've been in the same workspace for a while, channels that are no longer used accumulate and cleaning that up is a bit tedious. Similarly, managing permissions and settings at the workspace level in somewhat larger teams becomes less intuitive than it should be.

Finally, although integrations are one of the strong points, configuring some requires somewhat convoluted steps or technical knowledge that not everyone on the team has, so in the end, it ends up being one person who is responsible for maintaining them.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack mainly solves three problems for us that used to take up our time and cause us to lose information:

The first is the dispersion of communication. Before, we had team topics spread across WhatsApp, email, and meetings, and there was always information that got lost or had to be repeated several times. With Slack, everything is in one place, organized by channels according to the topic, and you can search for it later if you need to retrieve something. This has saved us a lot of time on a daily basis and, above all, has reduced the typical misunderstandings of "I thought we had agreed on X."

The second is the feeling of isolation when working distributed. We are a small agency that doesn't share a physical office, and before we noticed that we lacked that sense of closeness you get when you share a table. With Slack, thanks to threads, emojis, and reactions, there is a more fluid and almost real-time conversation that recovers part of that team atmosphere. The huddles also help to have quick calls without the friction of scheduling a formal meeting every time someone needs to explain something.

The third is centralizing tools. Integrations with Google Calendar, GitHub, and other tools make Slack the place where much of the work converges, instead of having to open five different tabs to find out what's going on. This, multiplied by the entire team, results in significant time savings lost in context switching.

The overall benefit is quite clear: more organized communication, less lost information, and a distributed team that feels more connected on a daily basis. For a small company where every hour counts and where coordination is critical to delivering well to clients, this translates into less operational friction and a stronger sense of team, even without sharing an office.

 ### 45. Seamless Integrations & Easy Setup.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anumeena S. | Senior Network Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really like Slack's ability to integrate with other applications like Jira, Confluence, and Google Drive. It helps me get immediate notifications for updates or access requests right in my workspace. I also think the threads feature is one of Slack's beautiful aspects, allowing replies within group chats or direct messages seamlessly. Slack's setup was a breeze, taking only a few minutes to login and be added to all the necessary channels, making it easy to understand how it works.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Nothing much for now. Enjoying all the features.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack integrates with other applications like Jira, Confluence, and Google Drive. I get immediate notifications of updates or mentions, solving many of our problems.

 ### 46. Slack Replaces Multiple Tools for Small-Team Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alanna H. | Founder and Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It accomplishes the jobs of many tools in one. It goes beyond communication and I actually use Slack for Project Management for a small team, without any other PM tools. That makes it an incredibly good tool for the price.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the UI is confusing, like when Canvases are linked to in places you don't expect, or when they open in new spaces you don't expect them to. Maybe that's more about how I'm using certain features, but sometimes the organization of features doesn't make sense to me. Overall, it's still easy to use, though, and that's not a huge roadblock.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well-organized project communication and project management/task management. It's benefiting me to accomplish this within one tool instead of multiple tools. This is a big benefit for a small business/small team. Some businesses/projects' complexity may require more robust project management, but for me, it works great to accomplish multiple needs with one tool.

 ### 47. Easy-to-Use Slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anand N. | Senior Systems Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack has a clean UI and is very easy to use for daily team communication. Integrations with Jira, GitHub, and monitoring tools help keep everything organized in one place.

It improves collaboration, speeds up incident handling, and reduces dependency on emails. Overall, it offers a smooth experience for remote and cross-functional teams.I like the huddles better than

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes notifications become overwhelming when there are too many active channels. Also, searching for older messages or files can be a bit difficult, especially in large workspaces. Apart from that, the free version has some limitations on message history and integrations.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps our team communicate and collaborate faster without relying too much on emails or meetings. It keeps project discussions, deployment updates, and alerts in one place, which improves coordination and saves time during daily operations.

I can also switch workspaces in a single device.

 ### 48. Easy, Reliable Team Communication with Smart Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohan K. | Manual Tester, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is easy to use with a simple and clean interface. It helps our team communicate quickly through chats, calls, and channels. It works well with other tools we use, which makes our work easier. The performance is smooth and reliable. It saves time, so it feels worth the cost. Setup was simple, and support is helpful. Smart features like search and suggestions also improve our daily work.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes Slack has small issues during calls. My Bluetooth mic disconnects, and I have to reset it again in settings while in a huddle. Also, sometimes I don’t get notifications while I’m in a huddle, which can make me miss messages. The app can feel a bit heavy at times, and too many notifications can be distracting if not managed properly.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve communication problems in our team, especially while working from home. Instead of using emails or different apps, everything is in one place like chats, calls, and file sharing. It helps us stay connected, respond quickly, and track conversations easily. This improves teamwork, saves time, and makes our daily work more organized and efficient.

 ### 49. Fast, Organized Team Communication That Keeps Work in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krantee S. | Curriculum Design Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It makes team communication fast, organized, and efficient. Channels keep conversations neatly structured by project or topic, direct messages make quick collaboration simple, and integrations with other tools help keep work in one place. The search feature is especially valuable for quickly finding past messages, files, and decisions when you need them. Overall, it reduces email overload and helps teams stay connected in real time, whether they’re working remotely or in the office.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It can feel overwhelming when there are too many channels, notifications, and constant message activity. In busy conversations, important updates can easily get buried or missed. It can also create pressure to always be available and respond quickly, which may affect focus during the day and disrupt work-life balance.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of scattered communication across emails, texts, and multiple apps by bringing conversations, files, updates, and collaboration into one central workspace. It helps teams communicate in real time, stay aligned on projects, and make decisions faster. For me, this means less email overload, quicker responses, and information that’s easier to find, while also helping the team stay connected and productive whether we’re working remotely or in the office.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel C. | Video Editor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Using Slack is one of the best options for communicating with the whole team. You can simply message people or set up a meeting with just a click, which makes it easy to reach everyone quickly.

Integrating bots like Slackbot and connecting plugins like Google Calendar or Monday helps keep everything in one app. I also like the idea of adding AI that can help whenever you need support from a specific department, like IT. I know you have to pay if you want to keep all your conversations and be able to look back at older messages whenever you need.

Overall, it’s an app that doesn’t require training because it feels very intuitive. It’s fast to reach the right people, and if you need support, it’s easy to get in touch with the company.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

sometimes is complicated to find conversations when you are not tagged

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**
