**What do you like best about New Relic?**

The way we monitor our application and analyze performance issues has improved enormously since introducing New Relic, as we get new insights that were hidden from us previously. Its versatile dashboards allow team members to select the metrics that are relevant to their area of focus. Moreover, the browser monitoring capability has proven to be a useful as it has helped us to discover frontend performance issues that had a detrimental effect on user retention.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

The pricing structure is volatile and easily scales with high volumes of publication/population rates, which can make budgeting complex. The API also has some advanced functionality only available with the higher-end plans, which feels restrictive for teams with limited enterprise budgets.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New Relic has addressed the issue of monitoring silos by bringing together our application, infrastructure and user experience monitoring in one place. This has allowed our team to diagnose incidents quicker, which in turn means that we can fix problems quicker, providing our users with a better product.

  ### 3. Better insight into the product via new relic

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bogendra B. | Lead Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

Getting started with New Relic is refreshingly simple. The integrations are extensive enough that we rarely hit a use case it couldn't handle. More importantly, the observability it provides has genuinely changed how our team makes decisions — we're no longer flying blind in production.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

Memory usage is an area that needs attention. When tracing code that runs in loops with complex, deeply nested objects, the agent holds the full object graph in memory — eventually leading to OOM errors or stack overflows. We hit this repeatedly across multiple workflows and had to disable tracing on those flows entirely, significantly reducing our visibility. A mechanism to cap object graph depth or stream rather than hold trace data would make the tool much more viable for complex, high-throughput applications.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned earlier, it helps bring better observability. It provides insights into the product that helps optimize it based on this information, rather than just trying to optimize by trial. This helped us to trace a request origin across different front ends and UI interfaces that our product supports. This lead to understand the complete request flow end-to-end and thereby helping to take corrective actions where needed.

  ### 4. Clear, Fast Application Performance Visibility with New Relic

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** amit y. | DevOps / DevSecOps, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2026

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

What I like most about New Relic is how quickly it gives clear visibility into application performance. I’ve used it to monitor Node.js and Python services, and integrating the APM agent was pretty straightforward both in regular deployments and containerized environments. The transaction traces and error insights make it easy to spot slow endpoints or bottlenecks. I also like the dashboards and alerts, which help keep track of application health without much effort. Overall, it makes debugging and performance monitoring much easier for engineering teams.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

One area that could be improved is the pricing model, especially as telemetry and log ingestion grow. In larger environments it can become difficult to predict costs. The UI is also very feature-rich, which is great, but it can take some time for new users to navigate and find the right views or queries. Some simpler onboarding guides or curated dashboards for common use cases would make it easier for teams getting started with the platform.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New Relic helps us quickly understand what’s happening inside our applications in production. While working with Node.js and Python services, it made it much easier to identify slow endpoints, failing transactions, and database bottlenecks through APM traces. Instead of relying only on logs, we could see performance issues in real time and debug them faster. This helped reduce troubleshooting time and improved overall application reliability for our teams.

  ### 5. Powerful Observability Tool That Boosts Reliability and Speeds Troubleshooting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Somya K. | Senior Project Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

What I like most about New Relic is how it brings everything I need into one place. Instead of jumping between separate tools for logs, metrics, traces, and performance data, New Relic gives me a single dashboard that shows the full picture. It’s clean, intuitive, and the visualisations are easy to understand

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

While I really like New Relic, there are a few things that can be frustrating at times. First, it can get expensive, especially as you scale up and start monitoring more hosts, containers, or services. The pricing model isn’t always predictable, and sometimes small changes in usage can lead to higher bills than expected.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it’s really hard to know where bottlenecks or errors are happening. New Relic solves this by giving a single pane of glass to monitor applications, servers, databases, and even user experience in real-time.Another problem it addresses is proactive monitoring. This has helped us improve reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure a smoother experience for our customers.

  ### 6. Comprehensive Observability and Real-Time Insights Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nishant g. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

New Relic stands out for its comprehensive observability capabilities and intuitive user interface. The platform provides deep insights into application performance, infrastructure health, and user experience, all in one place. I particularly appreciate its real-time monitoring and alerting, which helps teams detect and resolve issues before they impact end users.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

While New Relic offers powerful observability features, there are a few areas that could be improved. The pricing model can become expensive for organizations with high data volumes or multiple users, as costs scale quickly with ingestion and retention. Additionally, data retention beyond the default period often incurs extra charges, which can be limiting for teams that need long-term historical analysis.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New Relic helps solve the challenge of end-to-end visibility across complex application environments. In modern distributed systems, it’s easy for performance issues to go unnoticed until they impact users. New Relic addresses this by providing real-time monitoring, distributed tracing, and detailed error analytics, which allow us to quickly identify bottlenecks and resolve issues before they escalate.

  ### 7. Reliable Monitoring and Insights for Modern Applications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tejas R. | Senior Software engineer, Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

New Relic stands out for its ease of use and intuitive dashboards, which make monitoring and troubleshooting straightforward even for complex applications. The ease of implementation is impressive—integrating it into our tech stack was smooth, with clear documentation and quick setup. I also appreciate the wide range of features, from real-time performance monitoring to log management and distributed tracing, all in one platform.
The ease of integration with popular frameworks and cloud services saves a lot of time, and the customer support is responsive and knowledgeable whenever we need assistance. We use New Relic daily for application health checks, performance optimization, and alerting, and it has become an essential part of our workflow.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

The pricing model can be a bit complex, especially when scaling across multiple environments. Also, the UI, while feature-rich, can feel overwhelming for new users because of the sheer number of options and data points available. Some advanced features require additional configuration, which can take time.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New Relic helps us monitor application health, track performance metrics, and analyze logs in one place. This has significantly reduced our mean time to detect (MTTD) and resolve (MTTR) issues. By having visibility into errors and slow transactions, we can optimize code and infrastructure, leading to better user experience and reduced downtime. It also supports proactive monitoring, which means fewer surprises in production.

  ### 8. New Relic: Unmatched Observability for Faster Fixes, but Prepare for a Feature Heavy Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shreyas V. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

As a user, what I value most is having a comprehensive, unified view of our entire technology stack on a single platform. The NRQL query language stands out as exceptional, enabling us to pose detailed questions about all our application, log, and infrastructure data in one place. This capability has significantly reduced the time it takes to troubleshoot issues.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

The main challenge I face is the steep learning curve caused by the overwhelming number of features. For new team members, the interface often appears cluttered and can be difficult to navigate, which makes it hard to quickly locate the specific metrics or logs needed for troubleshooting. This complexity tends to slow down the onboarding process.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New Relic addresses the challenge of having monitoring data scattered and isolated across our complex, modern software architecture. Previously, we needed to consult several different tools for logs, metrics, and traces just to diagnose a single issue.

The main advantage is a significant decrease in Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR). By bringing all our data together in one platform and automatically correlating it with features such as Distributed Tracing, we are able to quickly identify the root cause from the initial user click all the way to the database query and resolve production problems up to five times faster than before.

  ### 9. Great for Performance Insights and Debugging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rushabh D. | SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

What I like best about New Relic is how quickly it helps me understand what’s going wrong in our application. The dashboards are clean, and I can get to the important metrics—like response time, error rates, and slow transactions—without digging around too much. The real-time insights are extremely helpful, especially when we’re troubleshooting production issues. It saves a lot of time and gives a clear picture of system health almost instantly.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

One thing I dislike about New Relic is that some of the advanced features feel a bit overwhelming at first. The platform is powerful, but certain sections are not very intuitive, and it takes time to figure out where everything is. The UI can feel cluttered when you're trying to drill down into detailed traces or custom dashboards. Also, some features require extra configuration, which isn’t always obvious from the start.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New Relic helps us identify performance issues quickly and understand exactly where bottlenecks are happening in our application. It gives clear visibility into slow APIs, database queries, error spikes, and overall system health. Because of this, we catch issues much earlier and fix them faster, which directly reduces downtime and improves user experience. It also centralizes our logs, metrics, and traces in one place, so debugging becomes much easier. Overall, it saves time during incident investigations and helps the team stay more proactive instead of reacting after users report problems.

  ### 10. Instant Performance Insights and Proactive Issue Detection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swapnil R. | Technical Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2025

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

This tool provides immediate visibility into application performance, allowing issues to be detected before users even notice them. It helps reduce mean time to resolution and makes it simple to incorporate business-specific KPIs.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

The cost can increase rapidly as your data volume grows, and it's easy to accidentally generate a large amount of data without being aware of the financial impact. With so many features and options available in one place, new users might find it confusing at first. Additionally, the mobile app does not offer all the features found on the web version.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Proactive monitoring helps catch issues before they have a significant impact on customers. It allows for the identification of slow API calls, database queries, or page loads that could frustrate users. It also provides insight into where users most often drop off, as well as which services are slowing down the app development cycle.
