I no longer am writing everything down, trying to keep up with the instructors, power slides, diagrams and Ted Talk videos . Because Otter transcribes everything, I can follow along with my instructor’s lectures. I can follow along for when a student asks a question. I can participate and engage in the lesson because I am no longer stuck in “mad” writing mode trying to write everything down yet nothing makes sense until after I write down what I wrote. The Otter app has helped change all that. At the end of lecture I read through the transcripts then I ask it questions, I give Otter a quiz and then I remember these quiz Q&A to apply on real course quizzes and cumulative test. The highlighter tool is also great as I can narrow down a lengthy transcription to pinpoint the main details and this saves me a lot of time when I'm drafting a story outline. **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** There are very few downsides to Otter.ai in my experience. Some transcriptions have minor errors or names get misinterpreted, but this is something that's constantly being addressed with each new update and the errors are so minor as to be no real concern. Most often this is the result of a lower quality recording that I upload, and I'm impressed at how accurate it is even with this in mind.
