The transcription was poor. I had no confidence in the summaries. It did a poor job of capturing anything beyond the most simple words. The user experience for my calendar was poor. It would add Otter to everything, even stuff I didn't want to record, and then spam me with emails about recording the meetings I didn't want to record. And then when I asked for a refund, they wouldn't give me even a partial refund. Premium version is great, as it allows you to upload more audio minutes. Best part is the time stamping and accuacy of it. I have been using the premium version for a long time now and recent upgrade in which AI helps you to extract required information from the conversation is extremely helpful. Exporting in different formats makes it quite easy to acquire the desired output. Dashboard is easy to use and it seems very welcoming to new users as well. **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** I am overall satified but I would say that it can improve in terms of speaker identification and it ocassionaly gets clunky while editing. I understand that it is working in real-time and saving the information but you can't make mistakes as it has built in auto save option and you can't undo if you save and close the file, which is quite disturbing. Customer support might feel bit slow sometimes, even for the premium members, however Otter.ai is generally so realiable that you likely won't need assistance often. **What problems is Otter.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?** Otter.ai helps me in transcribing audios and videos as I am a full-time transcriber. It helps me transccribe legal audios, podcasts, videos, lectures, interviews, business meetings etc. ### 35. The way it breaks down a call & the different templates it provides are very helpful and save me so much time in my day-to-day activities, allowing me to be more present on the call versus always taking notes. **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** Sometimes Otter drops on calls or shows up late, which can be frustrating or disrupting to the conversation if it keeps on joining/dropping. Sometimes, it doesn't join on calls at all, which can be frustrating. However, that doesn't happen too often anymore. **What problems is Otter.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps with note-taking and transcribing calls, as well as providing feedback on those calls. ### 36. Recently I came across Otter.ai through one of my colleague and since then my workload reagrding MOM and all has become very easy.It takes the whole points and at the end gives you a short summary regarding the whole meeting. ANd it was very easy to integrate and implemnet in my team. We use it in all the meetings for the notes. **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** If anyonre is not a premium member then they will only have limited monthly minitues of the Otter.ai Notetaker which is a backdraw of it. **What problems is Otter.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Otter.ai helped me in taking notes and drafting MOM of the meetings simultaneously. It is helping me in saving a lot of time that I spend on note taking and then drafting MOMs. It is making the hardwork part, a smartwork . If I even miss out a point I don't have to worry till will consist of it all. If I was unable to join the meeting, I'll have the summary of the meeting in a click. ### 38. The system also tried to join several of our client calls automatically — a feature I would never expect to be enabled by default. On top of that, it started emailing transcripts directly to our clients, again without my consent. Conversations can become more free-flowing, I can ask more questions and find out a lot more information, because I know that Otter will take notes and record an audio transcript. **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** There really aren't too many downsides with Otter, and I can see it's only going to get better as the tech evolves. Currently, I guess the thing that could be improved is the section within the notes about rhw action points. Sometimes it misses them, so I need to review the part of the conversation to get the full action point. **What problems is Otter.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's allowing me to maintain full focus on my video calls, and improves my discovery process as I'm not constantly taking notes.
