**Reviewed by:** Mohammed Dastageer G. | Mba Student, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

I as an mba student use discord for team management and its ui is very professional as well as interactive for group case studies and for project collaboration.Discord makes it easy for me to network and maintain a communities .The capability to create dedicated servers with seperate channels for different cases makes my work highly organized.Discord integration with spotify is a lifesaver for me and my team and discords performance is a top notch and i never experienced any lag in voice and text while in meetings. The price is attractive and generous to be honest . On boarding is good and support is a pluspoint in setting up a server.Auto mods in discord are a time saver for me and ai assistance in convos and text generations are a good addons.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

As an mba student at the first glance discord looked very technical. The small server icons need an upgrade and discord needs to kind of re think in changing the ui.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AS an mba student who uses discord regualrly for my group studies i find discord as an exceptional tool for communication and collaboration with its channel structure which is chaotic across many platforms.I created seperate channels for hr and marketing for case studies and resource sharing which saved my mailing time.

  ### 2. Free, High-Quality Voice Chat That Keeps Me Connected While Gaming

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keshav u. | user, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

discord helped me to connect with other people and share some stories and messages with them it is really helps when i am playing an online multiplayer game and do not wish to sacrifice my gaming experience by non communicating with my teammate it offers me a high quality voice chat at free of cost and their moderator removes any toxic user in a server which i personally like and appreciate it finally i would strongly recommend it to people who use it for daily voice communication while on other apps are those who want to create a specific way to communicate with a community of people

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

some discord users are tend to toxic to other users which i consider as a serious concern to the users who get affected

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

when playing competitive games latency is highly considered important so when i use a in game voice chat it results in high ping and affect my gameplay so i started using discord it offers me a high quality voice chat in the background without any latency delay in games

  ### 3. Discord Has Become My Go-To Platform for Gaming, Communities, and Everyday Communication

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VERGIL u. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

It's functionality to communicate smoothly and share screens between people while communication

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

Discord is a great communication platform overall, but sometimes the desktop app can feel resource-heavy and consume a noticeable amount of RAM while gaming or multitasking. Notification management can also get overwhelming when you're in many servers at once, and the search function occasionally struggles with finding older messages quickly. I’d also like to see better optimization for lower-end systems and improved moderation tools for large communities

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discord helped me solve the problem of staying connected with different groups of people in one place. Before using it, I had to switch between multiple apps for chatting, voice calls, sharing files, and community discussions. With Discord, everything is organized into servers and channels, which makes communication much easier and less cluttered.
Personally, I use it daily for gaming with friends, joining coding and tech communities, and staying updated with creators and online groups I follow. The voice channels are especially useful because they make conversations feel natural while gaming or collaborating on projects. It has also helped me discover communities where I learned new things about programming, PCs, and productivity tools. Overall, it saves time, keeps conversations organized, and makes online interaction much more convenient and enjoyable for me.

  ### 4. Discord Keeps Our Company Together Via Quick Communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas T. | 3D Environment Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

Discord facilitates the communication between the whole company, we´ve been using discord for 5 years now as main way of comms channel and it can increase the productivity a lot. The fact that you can have organized servers very in depth is a key factor for us, chat channels, voice channels giving access to certain people to things. The fact that you can have bots to mod and maintain a safe space for everyone is also incredible theres hundred of integrations. It´s free but to be honest when you need to upload large files its worth having the nitro on the server.
not to mention it is also my main way of communication outside of work for entertainment purposes

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

Lately discord has been having API issues, which has made communication stop abruptly but that happens and can last some hours. it´s not something that happens often but when it does it´s bad.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication via email can be slow. Having instant communication, quick feedback, and the ability to jump into meetings is incredibly helpful for our performance and for delivering solutions or resolving problems in a quick manner.

  ### 5. Smooth, Lag-Free Discord with Easy Onboarding and Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu (Hian) L. | EA/Operations Manager, Leisure, Travel & Tourism, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

Adding servers, creating new server options, the user interface is pretty smooth with a lot of integrations options. Performance is a big no lag.
It is free of cost for others to use. I can connect with unlimited people around the world using Discord. Onboarding was very smooth, no issues at all. AI bots does help us to remove restricted messages.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

Only one thing where Discord needs to improve is identifying spam messages. Daily using is all fine. It sometimes takes too much loading time. It should give some time if there are new updates to be downloaded, instead of auto downloading at start. Pricing structure is fine. Onboarding should have 2FA option too. AI model should be used to get all of these things done faster and in efficient time.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing me to connect with overall people using Discord around the world with specific interest/ work. UI helps to connect faster with anyone. Integrations helps to get more automations. Smooth Performance helps to get more work done faster. Free cost is something helps me to connect with wider audience. Smooth onboarding helps people to get on faster and easier.

  ### 6. Powerful Communication and Community Platform for Daily Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Surya S. | Director of Information Technology, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

Discord is very easy to use for communication and community management. I like the voice channels, screen sharing and server organization features. It works smoothly for gaming, team discussions and online communities. The interface is clean and notifications are customizable which helps daily productivity.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

Discord can sometimes feel overwhelming for new users because there are many settings and server features to learn. Notifications may become excessive in highly active communities, and the mobile application occasionally experiences performance issues during large voice calls or screen sharing sessions. Better moderation and spam control tools would further improve the experience for professional communities.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discord helps solve communication and collaboration challenges by providing organized channels, instant messaging, voice communication and screen sharing in one platform. It improves coordination between team members and online communities without requiring multiple applications. The platform has helped increase productivity, speed up discussions and create better engagement for remote collaboration and gaming communities.

  ### 7. Easy to Set Up, Powerful Voice Chat and Server Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vivekananda Reddy . | consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

I use Discord for voice chat while gaming after switching over from TeamSpeak. It has improved a lot over time, and it was easy to set up exactly the way I wanted. I can create groups, channels, and chats for whatever purpose I need, and I also use bots to help maintain and manage my Discord server. Plus, it’s free.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

My setup is a bit on the low end, so I occasionally run into stutters while I’m on comms.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can connect with my friends and stay updated on news about the products I use. I also stay connected with the dev teams behind different software and games on Discord by joining their servers, which makes it easier to follow updates and keep in touch.

  ### 8. Intuitive, Smooth Calls with Easy Integrations and Great Nitro Value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jairo T. | civil engineer, Civil Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

It’s quite intuitive to use, especially if you’re familiar with video calling apps, since the options aren’t that different from others. Integrating it with other apps is quite easy. Most calls tend to work very well and run smoothly, without interrupting other processes on the computer. The price of the Nitro subscription is very affordable, and the benefits are excellent for the price. The AI tools have been subtly and effectively integrated to enhance the user experience.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

Using the app while playing a game that’s fairly demanding on your PC can noticeably affect your computer’s overall performance.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of making high-quality voice or video calls. It also allows you to organize groups of people on the servers in a very clear way.

  ### 9. Great for Connecting and Discovering Communities, but Overwhelming at First

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian R. | Co-founder / Service Delivery Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

It’s a platform that lets you connect with people you already know, either by using the “friends” feature or by creating your own server. It also helps you discover new people through the “discovery” option. Overall, it makes it easy to connect with others who share your interests.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

For new users, it can feel overwhelming given the number of options available (private messages, public channels, private channels, public servers, voice chats, threads, etc.), and it may take several weeks—or even a month—to fully understand its potential.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On a personal level, it allows me to chat, play, and connect with friends, no matter where in the world they are. On a company level, it allows us to create communities around specific products or brands and share important information directly with end users.

  ### 10. Powerful Team Communication with Automation, Integrations, and Easy Bot Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose G. | Director of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

Discord is one of the best instant communication platforms for teams in the world right now, and I like it a lot because of the powerful features it offers for automation, integration with other tools, and moderating conversations. I also really like that it provides solid foundational tools for managing group discussions, and that it makes it easy and secure to add bots into conversations.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

The free plan is rather limited, but it's more than enough for small teams, or specific use cases. While on the free plan, there's always a pop-up to add Nitro/their paid option.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps bring multiple people together in conversations and organize chats for ease of indexing/searching. It also facilitates integrating bots, such as AI agents that enable better productivity.

  ### 11. Easy-to-Use Communication Platform with Versatile Channels and Fun Bots

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kavya N. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

Its easy to use like a communication platform should be and also has a wide variety of "channels" such as text, voice, stage, news/announcements, media, etc. It also allows the creation of bots to automate things in your server and have fun with the bot economies.
Discord can be slow at startups.
I've never paid a single cent on it, and have been using it for 5 years. There is an option for a "premium" version called the Discord Nitro which gives you access to a lot of quality-of-life features.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

The constant messages and buttons asking for user to buy the Discord Nitro

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a platform to communicate with online communities anonymously and securely.

  ### 12. Great platform for managing your staff, clients and hold meetings.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

It’s a pretty great platform. Our company uses it to announce updates and manage clients internally. We were using WhatsApp before, but it didn’t give us as much flexibility as Discord does. You can set up multiple channels as well as multiple roles, which works perfectly for an organisation or company.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

Honestly, I can’t think of many downsides, but one thing is that you can’t have multiple owners for a server. There has to be a single owner with absolute control over the server. That said, it’s still bearable since you can give administrator permission, along with plenty of other permissions, to the staff you assign.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us keep track of our employees and communicate with them through a chat platform. You can also share your screen, which lets us hold meetings as well, since Zoom or Google Meet doesn’t give you as much freedom. Overall, it’s really, really easy to manage everything in one place.

  ### 13. Easy to Use and Brings Gamers Together Across Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gilberto C. | Product Support Technician, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

It’s very easy to use, and it brings a lot of communities together. The biggest groups I see coming together here are gamers, which is perfect because Xbox, PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo don’t all share a built-in voice party feature that lets everyone join the same chat. With Discord now being integrated into gaming devices, almost any device can access voice chat without having to rely on what brand of device you’re using.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

It’s been having outages a bit too often lately, and the Nitro packages they offer feel a little expensive for what you actually get. Overall, it reminds me of an old-school MySpace vibe—except this time you have to pay just to edit your profile.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It brings console players and PC gamers together in one voice party. I can also create events and raffles, which makes it more fun for the community. It’s basically my main way to communicate with friends without having to be on regular social media.

  ### 14. Great Platform for Communication and Communities

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lakshay S. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

Discord is easy to use and great for communication. I like the smooth voice channels, organized servers, and how it makes collaborating with friends or communities simple

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

One thing I dislike about Discord is that large servers can sometimes feel cluttered and overwhelming because of too many channels and notifications.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discord solves the problem of easy online communication and collaboration. It benefits me by helping me stay connected with friends, communities, and project teams through voice, chat, and file sharing in one place.

  ### 15. Flexible Communication and Scalable Community Building

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu J. | Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

What stands out most about Discord is it's flexibility in communication. As different communities keep different server and channels. it supports community building at scale. Whether it’s small groups or massive servers, role-based permissions and channels make it easy to organize discussions and manage users effectively.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

The biggest downside is the learning curve and the UI it has ,can be annoying at times as personally it took me 2-3 years to learn features of it.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discord solves the problem of communication across multiple tools by bringing everything like chat, calls, file sharing, and community management, into one place.

  ### 16. Discord: Intuitive, Reliable Communication with Flexible Servers, Channels, and Roles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ariel B. | Interpreter, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Discord?**

Discord is a very intuitive and reliable means of communication. You can create multiple servers and easily separate management and employees, set up different channels that are blocked for certain people, and assign classes or roles to support different parts of the company and its departments.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

There’s really nothing we dislike about Discord. If we had to point out one thing, it’s that setting certain things up can sometimes be a bit difficult, like configuring roles or creating new channel folders.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discord is a place where the whole company can interact with each other, and every level in each department can be separated within the same group.

**Reviewed by:** Abhijeet A. | Assistant System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Discord?**

Feature rich and light weight with options to interact such as text channels , voice rooms etc.
Great role based access control for everything . Best voice chat with low latency which can be easily used by anyone.
Integrate bots for moderation ,fun etc. . It has become a daily go to app for streaming or making strategies.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

Not build for formal or enterprise level workflow. Search is not as powerful as teams or slack.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discord is a top-tier tool for community communication. If you're a streamer or manage an open community, it's a great option to consider. Gamers will also find it useful, as it allows you to chat with friends and play together seamlessly.

I can easily chat with my clients and friends. Very useful to create the channels and share with the team for specific projects.

**What do you dislike about Discord?**

Discord UI needs some improvement. Specifically, I don't have the option to message one-to-one directly when channel chat is open, I need to do 2-3 clicks to send a message. So sometimes it's confusing.

**What problems is Discord solving and how is that benefiting you?**
