I think the main downside for me with Better Stack is the pricing. Initially, everything was great, but as our team grew and we needed to add access or addons for the status page feature, the costs started to climb. I use Better Stack for monitoring my website's downtimes at https://xocat.online. I like how it's free and easy to use. Additionally, I find it particularly valuable that when my website is down, my users can simply go to https://status.xocat.online to check if something is down. I don't like how I can't really customize status.xocat.online, so that could be improved. I mostly don't like the customization because I have to pay to access that, but it would be great if we could build our own website instead of just being stuck with Better Stack's template, even if it was paid. The free tier covers all my needs, even if I scale in the future. The UI is nice and polished. If I ever increase the number of domains I manage, I’d definitely consider a paid plan. For now, though, it’s more than just a “try it and see if you like it” situation—the free tier genuinely feels complete. I really like the fact that Better Stack has a free plan, which is very generous. Better Stack has added automations that are not only available on the free plan but are also very easy to set up. I love that I can connect it to my services, and it automatically detects if something's not working. This saves me so much time because I don't need to manually check if any route in my website works. The only thing I think could be improved is that to customize the status page, there's no option to change the page title, SEO, or anything like that. And also the theme, and I think that should be improved. I mentioned SEO, basically, I think it would be nicer to have SEO page title, meta title, meta description, keywords, and so on. I love using Better Stack for logging, telemetry, and alerting. It's been great for unifying data from our multiple services, making it easier to manage our cloud deployments. One of my favorite features is the AI SRE, which is pretty cool. It allows us to describe incidents in natural language, pull up logs, build a story, and create metrics for alerting on edge cases. This helps us quickly diagnose issues in production. Setting up Better Stack was super easy, just installing the Logtail package and using it. The navigation and UX of Better Stack is a little poor—it can be frustrating to find the screen you're looking for. Sometimes tabs are hidden or don't show up in the place you'd expect. This is generally pretty minor, though, as we've just set bookmarks for the important pages. A sidebar that could be expanded would be helpful, since I don't want to have to hover over sidebar items to read the tooltip to understand exactly what each button does—the icons aren't obvious enough to distinguish just by looking either. I use Better Stack for monitoring our company's health systems, and it solves basically everything for us. The uptime monitoring and the status pages are super cool. What stands out the most is the critical incidents, scheduled maintenance, and service announcements systems, which fully automate our work. These features let our team know of any errors or downtime, and we're super quick with handling it because of Better Stack. I love Better Stack because it is super cheap and easy to use. I’ve been using Better Stack for some weeks and I really like the platform. The interface is clean, easy to understand and everything works very fast. Setup was much easier than I expected.
