From my experience, Personio is a very user-friendly and well-structured HR tool. Contact with support is troublesome. Previously we had a dedicated contact point who took care of us whenever we encountered bugs/issues with the site. Currently this changed to a global contact help center - the response time is not satisfactory. There is also an aspect of bugs, for a couple of months now we successfully submitted plenty of bugs - way more than what we could have imagined comparing it to previous quarters. This unfortunately disrupts our internal processes like recruitment, hiring. We spend a lot of time trying to contact support and implement workarounds because we cannot waste time the when the bugs is resolved - candidates cannot wait, our onboarding progress cannot either. Personio is one of the best HR tools I have used so far. At first, I didn't have high expectations, but after using it daily for several years, it became easier and easier to work with. It greatly helps in organizing, documenting, and efficiently managing daily to-dos in the HR field.

What I particularly like is the ability to customize many things individually – for example, adding additional holidays for other countries, creating custom feedback cycles, or incorporating automatic calendar notifications. The integration of payroll functions and the clear presentation of all relevant data are also excellently implemented.

sometimes it is a bit tricky to put in the right break times after I put in my hours. The two inputs for work and break time are a bit unintuitive. But kinda cool that I put in work 9 - 5 and a break at 12 -1 it will automatically split the work time input into two and then show the break in-between but this kinda looks messy to me. But I usually only take one break so not a big deal but if I am using the timer function this can make a massive amount of inputs and look overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a working student, I really appreciate how customizable Personio is for part-time roles. I can easily plan my 20-hour work weeks, adjust my schedule when needed, and track my hours without any hassle. The interface is simple and user-friendly, and requesting time off or logging sick leave takes just a few clicks. I've been using Personio for a short time, but there are aspects that have pleasantly surprised me. Firstly, the support during the implementation seems impeccable to me; in my case, the person assigned to help me (Mia) has been extremely helpful and makes you feel accompanied throughout the entire process. I also loved that it has everything you need in HR in a single tool, it seems quite intuitive and easy to use for all users, and I find it very positive that they are continuously improving. There are some processes that I have not been able to configure well or it has been very difficult and/or tedious to configure them because Personio is designed for each person to belong to only one department, have only one position, one supervisor, etc., and in our company, as it is young, it still happens that many of us hold several positions and have multiple supervisors.
