"Powerful MuleSoft Automation, but the UI Can Feel Clunky"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

Mulesoft automation is really useful because you can do a lot with different Salesforce features, and it integrates seamlessly with Mulesoft. There are so many things you can do, from record-triggered automation to working with external services as well. You can also schedule automation quite effectively, which makes it even more flexible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

Sometimes the UI feels a bit clunky and can be hard to use. MuleSoft is also a bit of a different product and isn’t as widely used as Salesforce, so there can be a learning curve. That said, there’s still a lot of upside you can get from this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Connectivity with a Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

I like the prebuilt connectors that are available out of the box and the lot of accelerators, both industry and tech, that you can start building from exchange. I think MuleSoft Automation provides one of the best API management platforms out there. I essentially like the full iPaaS for building, designing, deploying, and managing APIs in scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

I think the build aspect could definitely be improved. The Anypoint Studio is clunky. For someone new to coding or new to MuleSoft, that can be overwhelming and daunting at first. As I mentioned, the setup is not easy. It can seem daunting and overwhelming when you open up Anypoint Studio. If you're not technically savvy enough, that can feel hard. Datawave transformations can be daunting if you don't have a technical background in Java or come from a coding background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined System Integration with Excellent Support"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

I like the reusability aspect of MuleSoft Automation. I also value the Runtime Manager and API Manager as they are important for my work. Setting it up was not easy due to lots of moving pieces, but with the help of the MuleSoft team, we managed to set it up right the first time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

Developing in Anypoint Code Builder is still not the same as in Studio, which can be frustrating. Adding third-party libraries for different connectors and the flow layout aren't as smooth as I would like. Also, setting up wasn't easy due to lots of moving pieces, although with MuleSoft's team help, we managed to set it up right the first time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Automation with Impressive Results"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

I love MuleSoft Automation because it's a great experience overall. It's user-friendly and developer-friendly, which makes it easy for us to connect our Oracle database with other ERP systems. The tool helps us minimize manual work, enhancing productivity, and our clients and customers are happy too. Automation with MuleSoft smooths out batch processes and it's our official automation tool, making our operations more effective. Setting it up was initially a bit challenging, but once we got through the first automation, it became much friendlier to use. Plus, the training and documentation provided by our software vendor were comprehensive, making the learning curve manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

"Streamlined API-Led Integrations with Reusable APIs and Better Data Flow Visibility"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

What I like best about MuleSoft Automation is how it simplifies connecting systems and automating workflows across complex environments. It enables seamless integration between Salesforce, legacy systems, and third-party applications through reusable APIs, which reduces duplication and speeds up development.

What stands out is its API-led approach—building modular, scalable integrations that can be reused across multiple use cases. For me, this means faster delivery, cleaner architecture, and less maintenance over time. It also provides better visibility and control over data flows, making it easier to manage and troubleshoot integrations.

Overall, MuleSoft Automation helps streamline processes, eliminate data silos, and build flexible, future-ready integration solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

What I dislike about MuleSoft Automation is the high cost and complexity. It requires specialized skills to design and manage integrations effectively, and the learning curve can be steep. For smaller use cases, it can feel like an over-engineered solution compared to simpler, lighter integration tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Platform That Connects Legacy Systems and Powers Automation for Everyone"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

• It connects everything: It bridges the gap between modern apps and old "legacy" systems that don't have APIs.

• It empowers everyone: Both developers and non-technical business users can build automations using the same tools.

• It works as one: RPA (bots) and APIs (data connectors) live in one unified platform rather than separate, messy silos.

• It powers AI: It provides the "hands" for AI agents to actually perform tasks across different software systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

Expensive: It’s a premium product with a high price tag and a complex "pay-for-what-you-use" model that can lead to surprise costs.

• Hard to Learn: Even the "simple" tools require a lot of training, and the advanced features require highly specialized (and expensive) experts.

• Too Heavy for Small Tasks: It can feel like "overkill" for simple projects, requiring a lot of setup and governance for minor automations.

• Fragmented Tools: While it’s sold as one platform, the different parts (like RPA vs. Composer) can still feel like separate products that don't always talk to each other perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Salesforce Automation, Scalable Structure Needed"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

I like that MuleSoft Automation can be reused and is easy to scale. It automates Salesforce platform events very well, with no manual intervention required. The ability to scale easily, where one can increase the vCore allocation, is particularly helpful for handling events like account or contact events triggered from Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

I feel for each and every event I have to create a separate flow. It should provide a uniform structure which can work if there are no heavy processing involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Low-Code Integration Made Easy, But Has Complex Limitations"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

I appreciate how MuleSoft Automation, specifically using MuleSoft Composer, makes setting up and monitoring integrations easy. It's great that it allows us to integrate Jira with Salesforce effortlessly. I really like its low-code feature, which enables building whole integrations with minimal coding. Additionally, it's user-friendly, making it easier to follow along and use. The ease of initial setup also stands out, simplifying the process for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

There are some limitations with MuleSoft Automation. For complex use cases, we can't use MuleSoft Composer and have to use AnyPoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Connectors and DataWeave, but a Steep Learning Curve and High Cost"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

The number of connectors I’m able to use lets me connect to almost any data source I need.

Using DataWeave helps make complex data transformations more manageable, and the API-led connectivity approach has pushed us toward a cleaner architecture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

The cost of using it is off-putting and can steer people away, especially when there are potentially other solutions out there. It also has a steep learning curve, and it takes a while for a new employee to get up to speed with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MuleSoft: Streamlining Business Processes Through Automation"
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

MuleSoft automation, encompassing IDP, RPA, and Composer, delivers significant value to businesses by enhancing processes and driving innovation across multiple facets. A key strength is the Ease of Use, with Composer's low-code/no-code interface enabling business users to build integrations and automations using a visual, drag-and-drop approach, freeing up IT resources. Likewise, the IDP interface simplifies configuring document actions for data extraction without requiring AI expertise, and RPA offers a point-and-click interface to automate workflows, making it accessible to a broader user base. This translates into Ease of Implementation, with pre-built connectors and starter templates for various applications speeding up deployment, and MuleSoft's strong integration capabilities facilitating connections with disparate systems, including legacy ones, thereby ensuring smooth data flow and interoperability. Regarding Customer Support, MuleSoft provides comprehensive support, including Premier Support, onboarding, success reviews, documentation, training, and a strong community, though some users have noted a desire for improved responsiveness. The platform's broad applicability encourages frequent use across the organization, with its composable approach further boosting the Frequency of Use by promoting the reuse of APIs and other assets. MuleSoft automation also boasts a comprehensive Number of Features, covering API-led connectivity, integration, RPA, IDP, and Composer, with the Anypoint Platform offering robust tools for API and integration management, MuleSoft says and IDP leveraging AI technologies for advanced document processing. Finally, the Ease of Integration is another key advantage, facilitated by API-led connectivity, pre-built connectors, a unified platform encompassing design, development, and administration tools, and support for hybrid deployments bridging on-premises and cloud environments. These combined strengths enable organizations to streamline operations, reduce manual errors, and simplify processes, driving greater efficiency and innovation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

MuleSoft automation presents challenges despite its powerful features like IDP, RPA, and Composer. The initial Ease of Use and Ease of Implementation can be hampered by a steep learning curve and the complex architecture required for enterprise scenarios. Customer Support responsiveness might depend on the service tier, affecting prompt issue resolution. The high cost of licensing and maintenance can limit the Frequency of Use and make the extensive Number of Features inaccessible for smaller businesses or those with less complex needs. Finally, despite its focus on Ease of Integration, specific use cases or legacy system integration can still necessitate significant custom development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
