# What are the best conversational AI platforms for website integration?

Hi everyone! I’m looking into conversational AI platforms that can integrate directly into a website for customer engagement. Ideally, I want something reliable enough for lead capture and support, but not overly complex to manage. Bonus points if it’s affordable and works well for smaller teams.

Here are the platforms I’m exploring based on G2 reviews:

Tidio: Easy to set up for Shopify and WordPress sites, but how well does it handle more advanced B2B use cases?

Podium: Built with customer communication in mind. Can it handle real-time website chat as smoothly as it does text and reviews?

Kore.ai: Looks very advanced with natural language processing, but is it overkill for smaller teams?

ChatGPT (via API): Flexible for custom flows, but does it require too much dev work to get running on a website?

Gemini: Backed by Google’s AI. Has anyone actually used it for live website integration, or is it still more experimental?

If you’ve tried any of these, can you please tell me which worked best for your website integration, and would you pick the same tool again today?

Thanks.

Btw, I came across this interesting article on the best AI chatbot software while I was doing some research. It gives a good overview of use cases and popular platforms. Curious if anyone here has compared their picks against what’s listed there.

ChatGPT api is a fantastic tool once you get it all set up. The process of reaching that point can be a bit challenging, as you’re exploring prompts, flows, and integrations on your own. If your schedule doesn’t allow for that, it might feel more overwhelming than it appears.

You really have to think about how the chatbot fits into your existing stack. Even a good AI platform can be frustrating if it doesn’t sync cleanly with your CRM or support tools.

One option I didn’t see mentioned here is Claude. It’s not a plug-and-play website chatbot, but similar to ChatGPT, it can be used as the backend for a custom conversational experience. From what I’ve seen, it’s particularly strong at handling longer, more nuanced conversations and staying on topic, which can help for support-heavy use cases. The trade-off is the same though, you’ll need some dev work to integrate it into a website and connect it to your data or workflows.

I like a few website chatbots. Following your pattern I will briefly explain why.
These are:
(1) BotPenguin – Great for businesses that want automation plus omnichannel support, especially if they need chatbot deployment across messengers and website in one place.

(2) Elfsight AI Chatbot – Strong choice for easy website integration and flexible training on your own content (and there are a few ways to train!), without overwhelming setup or complex configuration.

(3) Jotform AI Agents – Ideal for teams already using Jotform who want to turn forms and structured data into conversational, AI-driven interactions quickly. Also, the brand is known to everyone for its forms
