I like the data visualisation settings that allows you to structure your data queries in a way that is digestable. Can create fun reports and dashboards that can be shared and used as a quick access tool for reporting on metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When building queries you have to go back to the editor to keep making changes, it would be great to have the editor and the report live side by side so that when you make changes you can see them in realtime. Would make it easier to make smaller adjustments, sometimes it can be quite lengthy to make one minor change because you have to keep going back and forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like about Metabase is anyone can set data connections or create dashboards and generate queries even someone like me who has a limited technical background like me. Additionally, the ability to share dashboards and reports easily with colleagues is crucial. Metabase offers various options for collaboration, from simple sharing to more advanced access controls. The downside is not everyone is a techy person. For me learning it would take a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are running the majority of the organization's analytics against our production database without any observable performance hit. Fits wonderfully into our ECS stack. It has exportable dashboards that we are integrating into our product to present secure metrics to our customers with excellent data governance controls. Recently ran an update from a very old version I originally started with and it went off without any report losses and minimal query updates required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The newer version is more feature-rich but resource-hungry, affecting the performance a bit when hosted in our ECS cluster. While it has excellent UI and visualization tools it is still more suited for an advanced user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
