**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

Apollo has an intuitive UI that integrates with popular sales engagement platforms such as Outreach. This makes it easy to bulk upload contacts and their info into a sequence (25 at a time as limited by sales nav viewing options). You also have the option to use CSV files for a larger list. These are great, but IMO are considered table stakes for such a tool, given ZoomInfo, Lusha, LeadIQ, etc. can all do this. 

Also, they have lead search tools and an email enrichment tool that is really great. They also offer email tracking.  Lastly, I like that they have their own sequences that customers can use- my company's plan doesn't allow access, but I would be interested in using this.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

Compared to every single B2B data tool I've used, Apollo is the worst regarding mobile number access.

Getting them off a prospect's LI is very slow, and it doesn't automatically input them in my outreach sequence. I've contacted them about this, but their support was not helpful. 

Lusha, LeadIQ, and ZoomInfo deliver a mobile number instantly at the click of a button with their Chrome extensions rather than stalling on "requesting" or showing the number elsewhere, and this is what I expect when using this tool.

I use Apollo for emails and adding contacts into a sequence but have chosen other providers for numbers.

**What problems is Apollo.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to grow our pipeline through outbound prospecting, to do that, we need contact information such as phone numbers and email addresses so our SDRs can prospect into our ICP. 

This benefits us because our team can better get our messaging across and leverage our SDRs more effectively with the correct contact information.

Apollo has great database for finding the right leads with lots of options to filter through them. The emails of the leads are mostly verified so you won't end up with email errors.

The engagement function can be vastly improved. Compared to competitors it's very basic and lacks lots of functionality. They started adding new features but it's still far from perfect.

It was a great outreach platform when we had only 5 AE's that were using it for prospecting.  It checked all the boxes that we needed at that time.

We kept on running into issues with our emails being blocked and marked as spam.  Searching for prospect's contact info left a lot to be desired.

They seem to have decent filtering for finding new contacts and having alerts on new contacts that fit your filters is nice. And it's easy to use.

Not a great solution if you plan to download the contacts to another system to work on.

I appreciate the fact that even when the contact data is wrong, it's at least available. I will say openly that out of any data provider I've worked with, Apollo seems to have the best coverage:price ratio.

Commercial packages available for purchase are not suitable for smaller organizations - I really feel like they want to gouge us here. I wish there were more options to be able to purchase data a la carte for specific projects (not possible today). The sales team is very unhelpful. Any time I've interacted with anyone from Apollo's Sales org, they just try to upsell me and are unresponsive most of the time (requires multiple attempts to get in touch with them on the website).

It's providing me with contact data that I need in order to generate pipeline for my company. It does so.. adequately.

I like Apollo.io for automating emails and its enrichment of contact details across a large database. Another helpful feature is that when emails bounce, Apollo.io looks for another contact in their database, which is quite handy.

The UI is very messy. Email prioritization needs help. Scheduling can be more granular. Integration with CRM has no analytics, making it difficult to track and sync progress between contacts in CRM and Apollo.io. The initial setup is not super intuitive, probably because they have a whole load of features I don't yet know how to use.

I like that the quality of data on Apollo.io seems reasonable compared to the rest of the market. It also allows me to quickly access contact details directly from LinkedIn, which is crucial for my job as a salesperson. Having up-to-date data is essential, and I feel Apollo.io provides pretty reasonably current information that helps me contact people effectively.

The plugin can be very lagging and quite consuming of computer memory. It doesn't work seamlessly as we would like it to. It can hang if you have lots of tabs open.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

The data repository is rich filled with all accurate and precise data. I never felt short of prospects using zenprospect. It has been a tremendous help in generating leads appointments within our target market for my Director. Prospect database is updated with all necessary fields that helps a lot in nowing the prospect before interacting with them. Zenprospect is like couple of other tools into one. 

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

As a user i have always find it very helpful and helped me get results. I have not come across any disadvantage.

**Recommendations to others considering Apollo.io:**

To say it's a platform integrated with all major capabilities that sales marketing team need in reaching the market and driving revenue. Running email campaigns with  ample precise database helps in achieving the desired results and equipped with right analytics helps a lot. It's a go for any looking with these capabilities.

ZenProspect is a great email prospecting software tool for small to mid-size B2B companies. 

It provides sales teams the ability to build and manage small to large email campaigns that are targeted. 

Thanks to ZenProspect’s large contact database. 

The software takes some learning, but it enables you to build intuitive email templates and sequences that can be easily optimized and duplicated, so you can scale across other targeted audiences. 

The software does provide solid campaign reporting and overall sequence performance, so over time you can learn which email templates and sequences perform the best.



**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The catch with ZenProspect is you need to use your email domain to send prospecting emails, which can cause you trouble if you need to send a high volume of emails per day and your email domain gets flagged for spam by Google, for example.

Best work around is to create numerous email domains, not associated with your company’s domain.

**Recommendations to others considering Apollo.io:**

Ask questions, and have them be upfront about how you should approach emailing through your email domain or an alternate email domain.

ZenProspect helps you solve two big business challenges: fishing with spears (targeted audiences/accounts) vs. nets and refilling the well with water (finding new contacts).

Some features seem like they have a lot of room to grow. 

**What problems is Apollo.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After doing research about other similar platforms, Apollo seems like the best one-stop-shop at a reasonable price. Like other platforms, it allows sequencing and workflow options. But rather than having to use another platform for prospecting, it can all be done in Apollo. 

That being said, since it does have so many features, some could still use work. However, it's mostly small issues I've come across (auto-replies not being paused correctly, low percentage of bad data, lack of clarity in reporting), and when I reach out to support, they are always helpful. 

The way that my company uses Apollo is slightly different than most - rather than each rep managing their own leads, sales ops manages them. So that may alter my opinion on the platform's problems; perhaps they just weren't intended to work this way. 

Overall, I would recommend Apollo for it's prospect searcher, sequencing, and overall ease of use.

Adding leads and activities directly from Linkedin using the browser plugin, is excellent for lead generation.

No Voice over IP for a lot of international markets, I would like to be able to call from a local number to my country (New Zealand)

More efficient and automatic logging of emails and other activities, saving time, also finding decision-makers and influencers within a prospect company.

Pretty decent database with different industries. The option to search by company names or professional names and the shortcut to look at their LinkedIn profiles.

Sometimes their database is outdated cause those professionals are no longer working for those companies. So perhaps they need to update their database more often.

Apollo has a way of finding phone numbers and emails for prospects that you never thought would be available. When you have lost all hope, apollo has your back. It is also really straight forward and easy to use. It required little to no training at all and was very early to implement for us reps.

A little buggy, and y'all keep making the UI worse. The last update (like 2 weeks ago or so from today 11/12/24) was horrendous. The UI was great. It's like Hubspot - very usable. Instead of trying to change that, spend resources on making it less buggy and updating your data.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

I use multiple softwares for contact information and Apollo has been the most reliable and up to date. I've typically used it to see info from contacts I'm pulling up in Sales Nav (I love the fact that I can use Apollo here without opening up it's tab or another window), but recently have been doing more contact searches within the platform, narrowing down job titles, personal geographies, etc. More reliable info than most!

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

There's a few buggy experiences using the software which can get frustrating. A few examples: 
- The Apollo extension tab does not like to be moved around. It's very finnicky and when it's in the way it takes me forever to drag it to other part of the screen because it will just freeze up or it will look like I'm dragging it and then immediately go back to where it was.
- Sometimes the UI within Sales Nav causes their buttons to overlap with existing ones.
- Ocassionally contact info will just endlessly load. Refreshing a page doesn't always fix it, I'll have to open the contact up separately in another browser to view in Apollo and let it load there for a few minutes before it tells me there is no email available. These are some constructive critiques but overall I like using Apollo a lot.

I do cold prospecting and getting the most up-to-date and accurate contact info is always a struggle. It's not perfect but super super helpful in this area.
