## Jell Reviews
  ### 1. Jell Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Jell?**

Organization of to-dos
Customization capabilities
Integrations, specifically with Slack.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

Compared to a Project Management tool, Jell lacks functionality that makes it pale in comparison if your team uses a separate tool for managing their to-do list action plans cross-functionally.

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daily reminders for specific to-do lists. Good for the individual who needs a tool to assist with "checking off" items for productivity purposes.

  ### 2. Good product if you are a list maker

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Jell?**

It has a very organized and simple structure. It is easy to set daily tasks and execute/ cross them out on a daily basis. The format is clean and not too hard to follow. If you like to make lists it's a great way to make it digital and it's also easy for management to follow.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

I just don't really care for the product. It isn't something that I like to use and getting a slack message every time someone completes something in Jell is a little unnecessary.

**Recommendations to others considering Jell:**

Coming from a remote workspace, I think Jell is a great application to keep people on teams connected. You can see what others goals are as well as what they have already accomplished.

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our sales opps team has a million moving parts and sometimes it is hard to keep up with. We use Jell to keep track of all our daily tasks and have found that we are actually more productive and more satisfied when you can cross these tasks of your list.

  ### 3. Offers great visibility but wasn't the right fit for our team

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Jell?**

We loved the interface of Jell and the idea of increasing visibility across departments through daily standups, but compliance was always an issue. Jell helped train our team to be mindful of the work we had on our plates, to plan ahead, and to make sure that other stakeholders across the organization were in sync with our goals for the day or week.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

Jell provides good visibility into the various parts of the company, but it difficult to encourage compliance. Perhaps it was the frequency with which we encouraged participation, which could have been adjusted. Either way, while it helped establish a new benchmark for good communication, the tool quickly fell out of disuse.

**Recommendations to others considering Jell:**

While probably obvious, I think it's incredibly important to evaluate exactly what you're hoping to accomplish and then audit your team to decide whether the solution you've chosen to help you reach that goal, Jell in this case, will actually be adopted and used. Compliance is a huge issue in so many areas, and this one is no different. Don't underestimate the challenge—and value—of asking your team to adopt yet another new tool.

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our goal in using Jell was to increase communication and alignment. While our use of it didn't full realize those goals, it did help move us in that direction.

  ### 4. Great product if used correctly.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Jell?**

I love using the checkin features. It is a great way to get information and updates from other employees on a reoccurring basis without having to annoyingly ask every week.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

Jell can get annoying if everyone on your team doesn't buy in. If everyone isn't submitting their checkin and standup regularly then it doesn't serve a purpose.

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a remote team so having a place where everyone can come and submit their weekly checkins and have a place to keep track of their quarterly goals is awesome.

  ### 5. Useful tool to plan daily tasks and operations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Jell?**

Its very easy and quick to use, task can easily be added and ticked off then are forgot about. It's useful to go back in time to see tasks completed on a certain date.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

What you can accomplish is quite limited with jell and could look somewhat nicer on the front end. There isn't many options for integrations

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Only use is for organising task's day by day, good for personal reference for timekeeping and reminders

  ### 6. Good simple idea but could be improved

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan L. | Product Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Jell?**

Great as a task list and sharing with your team what you are working on plus managing what your staff are doing.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

At times can be very very slow when trying to tick off tasks quickly which can be very frustrating.

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daily standups, task management and check ins.

  ### 7. Perfect for Daily Stand-ups and Remote Workers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh H. | Marketing Manager, Facilities Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Jell?**

As a remote worker I needed an easy way to be able to share what I'm working on AND what I'm accomplishing each day.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

I'd like a little better way to export my work, but the CSV works great.

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yes, you could do everything with a spreadsheet that Jell does, but the ease of dragging and dropping tasks, and the carryover from day-to-day makes this something you'll actually use. I can't imagine working without it now.

  ### 8. Simple tool for task management & transparency

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Philanthropy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Jell?**

Jell is a straightforward, simple tool that helps individuals manage tasks & helps teams stay updated on what everyone is working on.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

Jell is great for daily updates, so if that's what you're looking for, you'll love Jell. It's certainly not a project management tool and it's not trying to be. Because of its limited functions & lack of integration with my other tools, it's just another siloed system. It would be more helpful for me if it had more robust task management functions (ex. including links, tagging coworkers, subtasks, etc). But, again, if you're wanting a basic tool to share daily to-do lists with teammates, Jell does the job.

**Recommendations to others considering Jell:**

If you're looking for a program to help your team submit simple daily task lists in a format that you can monitor, Jell is great.

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jell eliminated the need to have daily standup meetings with one of my direct reports, which saves both of us time. My direct report finds it helpful to plan his day each morning. When he completes a task, I receive a notification, and I think that accountability helps motivate him.

  ### 9. Jell is a great way to organize, improve productivity,, and provide visibility across your team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Layne L. | Growth Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Jell?**

My team uses Jell every day. It's a great way to send status update to your team, either in place of or in addition to daily standup meetings. Jell can help you prioritize and plan the most important things for you to accomplish in a day, and check items off as they're accomplished throughout the day. It has an integration with Slack, which we use to communicate at my company. You can also input individual, team, and company goals in the system each quarter, along with KPIs and measurements for those goals. I also love the To-Do list feature that helps you keep track of things you might not accomplish today or this week, but still want to keep on your radar.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

In the past I've wished there was a way to add meetings to Jell automatically from Google Calendar, but I think that might actually detract from the ultimate purpose of the software, which is to focus on the most important things you need to accomplish.

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team and company-wide visibility to your work, individual organization and prioritization, improve productivity

  ### 10. Best Stand Up Application Available

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Sales Development Specialist, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2016

**What do you like best about Jell?**

Easy UX, modern look and appearance, team customization. Ability to add team members to our company is great, as it gives us a look at what other teams in our company are up to.

Pricing is also extremely competitive out there, and has the ability to scale up to multiple team sizes.

**What do you dislike about Jell?**

The only issue that I've encountered was instability on the iOS app. This has since been resolved and I haven't had issues with it since.

**What problems is Jell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration and team transparency. Prior to using Jell, it was difficult to get a better understanding of what my team and colleagues are doing at any given time.
