**Reviewed by:** Saif A. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Slab?**

The smart search feature allows you to look for anything across all your connected tools, such as Slack and GitHub. This makes it much easier to find information without having to search each platform separately.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

It is less customizable and may take some time to become familiar with its terminology.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were developing an MVP for a business that required a CMS plugin, and for this purpose, we used Slab to handle functionalities such as the editor, organization, and search tools for our connected APIs like Slack and GitHub.

 ### 21. Transforming Teamwork and Documentation with Slab

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bianca M. | Junior Store Specialist, Insurance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Slab?**

What I like best about Slab is how easy it makes knowledge sharing and collaboration. Its clean interface and powerful search functionality allow teams to quickly find and contribute content. Plus, the seamless integrations with tools like Slack and Google Drive keep everything connected in one place, making it super efficient for team workflows.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

One thing I dislike about Slab is that it can feel a bit overwhelming for new users, especially if the team has a lot of existing content. Getting used to the structure and layout can take some time, and it might require some upfront organization to keep everything easy to navigate. But once you get the hang of it, it’s much smoother!

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab solves the problem of disorganized knowledge sharing by centralizing all team information in one easy-to-use platform. It helps me quickly find documents, collaborate seamlessly, and keep everything connected, which boosts efficiency and saves time.

 ### 22. Clean, Collaborative, and Perfect for Team Knowledge Sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu K. | Warehouse Coordinator | Team Leadership & Inventory Control Expert, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Slab has a beautifully minimal interface that makes writing and organizing internal docs a breeze. It’s fast, supports rich formatting without being overwhelming, and integrates seamlessly with tools like Slack, Google Drive, and GitHub. The search functionality is also impressive—it’s easy to find what I need quickly, which saves the whole team time.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

While Slab is great overall, the permissions system can sometimes be a bit limiting. It would be helpful to have more granular control over who can see or edit specific parts of a document. Also, the mobile experience isn’t quite as polished as the desktop version—it works, but it could be smoother for on-the-go use.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab helps solve the problem of scattered or outdated internal knowledge. Before using it, we struggled with inconsistent documentation and wasted time hunting for info across different tools. Now, everything is in one place, well-organized, and easy to update. It’s improved onboarding, reduced repetitive questions, and made collaboration much smoother—especially for remote team members.

 ### 23. A reliable and user-friendly knowledge management tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohamad H. | Product Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Slab?**

I appreciate Slab's intuitive design, making it easy for my team to organize, access, and collaborate on documents. The powerful search capability and seamless integration with other tools significantly boost our productivity.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

One downside is that the customization options for document formatting can sometimes feel limited, which occasionally makes it challenging to maintain consistency or detailed formatting across extensive documentation.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab is helping us centralize our team's knowledge and documentation in one easy-to-navigate space. Before Slab, important information was scattered across emails, chats, and different tools, leading to inefficiencies and miscommunication. Now, onboarding new employees is faster, internal collaboration is smoother, and our team has more confidence that they’re working with up-to-date information

 ### 24. Brilliant and simple

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hamza N. | Service Delivery Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Slab?**

It’s clean and easy to use. I like how quick it is to search for stuff, and the editor feels smooth without getting in the way. It also keeps things organised without needing much setup.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Some of the formatting options are a bit limited, and sometimes the permissions can get confusing if you’ve got a lot of people or teams involved. Would be nice if it handled that a bit better.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us keep internal knowledge in one place so people aren’t always asking the same questions or digging through old messages. It also makes onboarding new staff easier since everything they need is already written down and easy to find.

 ### 25. Easy and Good, but needs a better mobile version

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Its easy to use... the clean design helps me find things easily. I love the search.. it pulls up everything I need in seconds.. and writing with the markdown editor is also simple.. and I like how I can work with my team in real time just like Google docs.. It also connects with google drive.. so everything’s in one place.. Organizing pages is also easy and keeps things clean. It’s great for sharing ideas and keeping my team on the same page.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Using slab in phone’s browser is rough.. it’s slow and clunky.. I mean its not meeting the expectations.. it’s slow and missing some stuff that we do with web version. Also slab is bit pricey for my small team... and support sometimes takes extra time to fix big problems (I heard).. and also there are so many features that it can feel bit too much when we just starting out..

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab fixes the mess of scattered team information and lost documents... It puts all our notes.. and plans in one platform.. so I don’t waste time searching through emails or random files.. the search finds stuff instantly.. and I can edit with my team in real time just like a shared notebook.. It also keeping all things together.. this save our hours.. and makes team easy without stress..

 ### 26. The default template is well refined but creating new templates requires lot of time

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Slab's default templates are thoughtfully structured and make it easy to get started quickly. I especially appreciate the ability to reuse templates for recurring meeting types or team rituals — it saves time and keeps things consistent.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

While the templates are great, creating custom ones from scratch isn't as intuitive. The process can be time-consuming, and more guidance or presets would make it easier to scale documentation quickly across a team.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing my project plans with specific tech stack and resources for each feature

 ### 27. The new Alternative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Is great place to filter new options inmind and compare the currently alternatives with new possible options

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Is everything for now great with this software, I would post my comments in case is any new update that I dont like

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking in one place some other options related to my field of work, maybe cheaper or faster software is always needed

 ### 28. A good product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emudapuram M. | Ai/ ml intern, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Slab?**

It will help in internal documentation much more compared to others.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Sometimes I feel the interface is clumsy.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Find and replace the documents

 ### 29. I Love The Formatting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shamara P. | O, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

I love that all the docs are automatically formatted the same so that you do not have to go in and select from a million different fonts. They made the platform very simple and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Some times the photos you inserted into the doc just disappears and you would have to re-add them. I think it is a glitch that they have not fixed yet. I also wish they would integrate with Scribe so that the procedures created can just automatically upload into Slab. I also a little weird trying to keep docs organized. Our Slab database got so congested with info it took a lot of time to organize everything.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us keep all our procedures and processes in one place.

 ### 30. Slab is great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Slab natively integrates markdown docs from Github, meaning technical docs that should live in your repository get surfaced in the same place. Likewise, the search runs across Slab and other sources like Slack and Google Drive. In effect, Slab operates with the understanding that there will always be other sources of knowledge in your org, and tries to solve the "whole" problem.

Additionally, I think they've chosen a good line in the sand about what type of content should be stored in Slab–documents. It's not a light CRM; it won't replace your financial model. It's the place for Wiki, collaboration, discussion, documentation, etc. I. suspect this clarity of purpose is part of what allows the app to be so fast and so searchable.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Slb is awesome, so I don't have too much to say here.

I have one gripe, but it's not been solved by alternative products either. That is the fact that Q&A-esque interactions are not particularly well-handled by Slab. The search is great, but you have to know what to search for when using traditional search.

I am hoping they can use some of the advancements in AI to help solve this use case, as I still have to play librarian in our org and help people find documentation they don't know exists.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab helps our organization stay aligned and control the complexity of our operation. It helps us onboard our new employees, coordinate our product development and targets, and share our goals, beliefs, etc. We're a small organization but we do a lot of writing, and it's helped immensely to have a product that is up to the task and which is very pleasant to use.

 ### 31. Simple tool with a bit confusing UI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

It doesn't have too many features (meaning we don't pay for features that we don't need) . It doesn't require almost any settings at the beginning - you can start using it right away. The structure is easy to change later on how you need it.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

UI is not the best - when I am doing some things for the first time (or even second) it takes me a while to find it - it's hiding at the place when I usually don't look. Unfortunatelly it's not just me problem - when we want others to use slab we need to create quick image manual for them.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to keep all the company info at one place with structure. When it's data or documentation we keep in more specialized tools we use slab at least as an link tree. This way everyone in the company can find all the necessary info right away or at least a description where to find it.

 ### 32. Super Happy With Slab!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

I love the search functionality and being able to search across different tools. I also love tagging multiple topics to posts and the deep linking of posts. Additional points go to linked posts popping up while in the active Post you are in, so you don't need to open a million tabs if you don't want to. Lastly, the shortcut formatting with the slash is really nice once you get used to it. I actually wish other doc editors had this feature as well!

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

I wish there were a way to more easily track documentation requests from other team members. Almost like a ticketing system or similar on what could be updated and where. And a more enhanced view of expired verification posts with more filtering. (Like saved filter views, so you can quickly jump back to your items to update).

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab is helping us share our technical and product knowledge across the organization in a more streamlined fashion. It is also helping us to try and reduct duplication of work which is a big timesaver!

 ### 33. Slab has been a game changer for sharing knowledge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caroline D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Love that it has a Chrome extension so I can search our knowledge base from any app. Easy to use, low learning curve, good formatting features. The embed features makes it easy to find your Google Docs & Sheets that get lost or overlooked and helps provide some context around what the doc or sheet is used for. It has been a game changer for getting all of our company knowledge into one place that is accessible from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

I do wish it had more collaboration features (besides the comments). I would love to see a feature where user edits or additions are tagged as belonging to that user in addition to being available in the revision history. Maybe by paragraph or section so that as a user adds content, another user can "respond" within the document and anyone can easily see who wrote what.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to consolidate the knowledge that has been spread out between our personal notes, Google Docs & Sheets, and notes within our Project Management system. We were always struggling with the poor formatting and search features of the notes within our PM system, but then found it hard to ensure that an external document was easy to find or that the user even knew it was available. With slab, we can use the Slab URL links to tie our project management system to the relevant content. We can also embed Google Sheets into Slab and it provides great context as to why that doc

 ### 34. Great resource to ensure employees are on the same page

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Slab is easy to use and navigate, which is a huge help when searching for a one off question. Slab is an easy way to share information and updates, and also ensures employees are given the same resources / information across the board.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

At this time, I have no complaints. One thing that may make Slab even better would be to have an option to make an edit to an existing Slab article - maybe a "draft" that other employees could confirm the information is correct and the draft can be made permanent. This will help identify disconnects in communication / processes.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab is a huge part of my day to day work in my current position. It's helpful to be able to reference articles if I forget something about a particular topic, or need instructions or a refresh on how to complete a certain task.

 ### 35. Great and delightful wiki experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Slab is an excellent tool for minting decisions and being a single portal for all kinds of resources. Its seamless integrations with many tools (Github, Height, Google Docs, etc.) make it an excellent tool for collecting raw notes and minting them in a single place. Its verification feature is underrated as it helps keep our company's documents as fresh as possible.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

I think Slab could work on its collaboration functionality a little more. Having more than five people editing a Slab document can be painful - there are some concurrency issues to iron out. I also think making tables in a document is a little awkward.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a easy & accessible online wiki. It's easy to read and reference in and outside of Slab. Because our company uses many different online tools, having a simple-to-use and robust wiki with many first-class integrations is very important.

 ### 36. Handy software for collating company knowledge

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Having a single source of truth - instead of having articles and how-to guides spread around various Google Docs and Excels, they can all just live in Slab.
Also, has really useful functionality for linking with Slack and Github, making it a great one stop shop when trying to find answers.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Not a huge amount to say here, I think you get what you put into it. For example, if contributers aren't actively tagging pages and making sure they are correctly connected to others then the usability goes downhill. Users need to be bought in and understand best practices for using it.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves the issues of having multiple sources of the truth throughout the business - everything is consolidating into one living document which makes our lives easier.

 ### 37. Fantastic knowledge management app for teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Import and Export | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Love the ability to add articles to multiple places, set knowledge owners and schedule knowledge verification to ensure accuracy.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

It doesn't integrate with other Microsoft Teams in a way that would make it easy to access knowledge from within MS Teams. As such there is inertia to adoption in the team.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a tool to organise and centralise company and team knowledge, with good search capability. Slab makes it easy to find knowledge and structure knowledge.

 ### 38. Handy tool, but so much competition...

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David d. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

I enjoy the very clean composition interface, including the handy tools for inserting markup language into my documents. Co-authoring is very easy; a great place for documentation to live.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

The biggest downside to Slab is simply the abundance of composition or co-authoring features in other software tools that my company just happens to use already. For example, we started using Monday.com recently to do our sprint reports and task management. Monday.com has a very nice composition utility for creating and sharing written instructions/notes/engineering documents that rivals the core value proposition of Slab.

After discovering this, I immediately wondered if I had too much of a good thing and ought to cancel one of my many business tool subscriptions because they overlap in certain ways (Monday.com/Slab/Github/Slack...the list goes on).

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab helps my team get their biggest, most complex thoughts out of their head and onto "paper" (so to speak).

I used Slab extensively during a first quarter project planning exercise; I did feel like it helped me and my senior staff engineer work together more collaboratively.

 ### 39. Ideal Company Knowledge Repository

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sacha S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Unlike Confluence, it's much more akin to Notion/Coda in that the UI/UX is super streamlined to create/edit/comment docs easily.

The search functionality is excellent as well, especially if you pair it with their Slab Chrome extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/slab-for-chrome/nfkdkjjhioogcpdklmkocdhmjcpdflgg

The Content Map is surprisingly good too for quickly perusing documentation.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

It would be great if a user could create sub-directories under their Favourites. Over time it has become an unwieldy looooong list.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simply offering a repository for knowledge sharing within the company: onboarding, walk-thrus, how-tos, etc. Admittedly one of the pain points right now is the fragmentation of this knowledge sharing as it is dispersed between different wikis: Slab, Confluence, Notion, and even Google Docs

 ### 40. So Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

It's just so easy! It's simple to get set up, simple to teach others and intuitive to organize. We're a startup, and it's important to me that we lay the foundation for asynchronous communication out of the gate. Slab has made that process seamless!

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

I've struggled a bit with guests permissions for contractors. It's a little bit confusing/not so easy when you need to invite contractors to multiple pages and they haven't accepted the first invite. It's almost as if every invite to a page (or permissions given to a page) overrides the last.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized communication of policies, processes, onboarding and training materials. We work asynchronously and Slab is our trusted source of truth for all full-time and contracted employees.

 ### 41. Unexpectedly reliant on Slab for internal documentation!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Slab?**

The entire interface is very user friendly, with common elements and commands that I'm used to. This makes creating posts very quick and easy. There are many formatting options for each post as well, so you can separate out content and give it some visual excitement and hierarchy. Overall, the ease of use is probably what helped make this so widely adopted and successful within our organization.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

For all the options that are offered, I do find myself wishing for just a few more every now and again. I also continue to have trouble remembering how to tag other pieces of content, which is probably just on my end, but I wish the command for that was something super simple (maybe it is and I can't remember!)

**Recommendations to others considering Slab:**

If you're struggling to organize or maintain documentation on a project or within your internal business operations, this tool is excellent for keeping everything available and searchable. Having the ability for multiple contributors to keep the information up to date in real-time (like a wiki) also introduces additional camaraderie among the team. It helps everyone stay engaged in maintaining large amounts of documentation.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We continue to expand the number of users within our account, so we do run out of seats for content creators/non-guests quickly. We could go up a level, but for just wanting people to have short term or limited access at times, it doesn't feel worth it. No functional problems with the application at all, and we have completely changed the way we're documenting internal processes and basic information. Now everything is in one place, that's easily searchable, and we find that people are widely contributing new content and actually utilizing process documentation they previously were not.

 ### 42. Slab is great for documentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Search function is very helpful and captures what I'm looking for despite potential misinputs or synonymous verbiage used in other departments.

Previewing hyperlinked documents by hovering over them, is SUPER helpful and saves me from click into a link only to find it's not what I was looking for & having to go back to the previous page and scroll down (minimal but it's nice!)

Super helpful that I can see the last modified date and also view who else is on the document at the same time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The simple highlighting key points with formatting is subtle but very helpful to reduce feeling overwhelmed by a wealth of documentation/knowledge.

Side note: Slab's CTO is really awesome

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Nothing in particular! IMO if someone doesn't enjoy using Slab or doesn't find it helpful, it may be because they are not using it correctly / have not taken the time to learn how to use it to its full potential.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Answering questions and finding answers, updating existing outdated documentation for others. I no longer need to message the team or individuals about certain nuanced cases/questions.

 ### 43. Excellet Documentation Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

- I like the UI, I think it's pretty intuitive overall; not to cluttered.
- I like that I can work in "markdown" first
- I like the variety of "elements" and the ability to use key shortcuts to make them happen. Which I suppose speaks to the fact I don't have to use my mouse as much.
- I like the Activity feed, I have seen myself and others use it to keep tabs on whats new or has been updated
- I like that I can share documentation externally; we do this sometimes when integrating with external teams and partners
- Topic, Sub Topic, Post are great for organization
- The auto table of contents is awesome; it sometimes helps me ensure my titles and subtitles are properly set. H1,H2,H3 etc.
- search! works great
- The ability to add media is good
- I like that I can change the title of a post and the previous links I may have shared still work. excellent

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

- The table element. I've had trouble in the past using it effectively. One suggestion, add "shift + enter" to auto-add a new row and move to it
- Can't think of anything more really

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is our team's place for documentation. Forget Microsoft products like word, excel, and shared storage; having the ability to quickly write and present documentation independently of workstation OS or device you are using is great. The fact that it supports markdown is great. It allows us developers and architects to think in our terms but give some stylistic cohesion! Unlike Word, for example, the customization is on "rails", there is no variation in Font or size or the way images are placed in. Additionally, we get history and comments without all the extra configuration.

 ### 44. Good internal wiki for a company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Conor O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

We use it as our company's internal wiki. It integrates with Github & Lucid chart well. Readme's in github generate slab posts. We make docs (product and tech plans) and get assign reviewers. We can see version histories, you can use markdown with handy forward slash commands to generate headers & tables (the tedious parts of markdown).

Subtopics and topics work well to group onboarding or project material together.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Searching all topics across slab is good and they have a content map. However I still don't think it's the most intuitive or easy way to find things. Maybe a graph based view might feel natural? I'm not sure, but I feel like they could experiment further with this.

Lucid chart integration previews rarely seem to work well in slab.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal wiki & knowledge. Product teams, Engineering teams perform technical writing and get peer reviews & discussions before implementation. It was also particularly useful for a remote first company during covid, to have a good documentation tool. Everyone can contribute, edit, comment etc. It leads to good content.

 ### 45. Slab Helps Us Easily Access Regularly Used Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

I really like that Slab can be well-organized in a hierarchical way and also searchable. All of our content writers and editors can access Slab to find shared sources we commonly draw from. It makes the research process easier when it comes to topics we cover frequently and want to provide a cohesive front on.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Honestly, I don't think I dislike anything about Slab. I suppose the initial Content Map page could look a little more pleasing. The font size seems small on the individual page headings and the scroll bars are a little distracting. But these aren't things I'd noticed prior to thinking about it right now when asked.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use dozens of writers and editors, and on topics we frequently cover, we want to make sure they draw from the same sources, so we don't have conflicting stats on different content pages. Slab provides an easy way to organize and access these sources.

 ### 46. A Great Tool for Organizing Your Company's Internal Documents

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

In our search for a software solution to help us organize our internal documents, we came across Slab. This user-friendly software has proven to be a valuable addition to our workflow.

Slab's intuitive design makes it easy for our team to find and access the documents they need. Its quick and efficient performance has helped streamline our processes, while the attention to small details sets it apart from other solutions we've tried. The software continues to improve, and we're looking forward to seeing what new features Slab introduces in the future.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

I wish they had better options with formulas in tables. For example, importing a segment of an Excel sheet with the ability to add rows, get averages, etc. Right now, you can only have tables with data / figures but no formulas. I also think they'd benefit from having more robust help desk articles to answer common questions without needing to reach out to their support team.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization of documents. Team collaboration on projects. Keeping everyone on the same page. Easily searchable guides / overviews / procedures, etc. Also replaces Microsoft word for most applications.

 ### 47. Slab is a wonderful tool to host all of your internal documentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

We use Slab to host all of our policies, how-tos, and wikis. We really appreciate how easy it is to write an article, embed images and gifs, and for our team to navigate through.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

We've been using Slab for around a year and a half now. I'm sure there is more we can do with it that we're not utilizing. I'm not a huge fan of the sorting structure. There isn't an option to sort by age, so it usually jumbles my docs a bit.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Slab, we had difficulty putting together a place where all our users could go to find information. I'm the Director of Customer Support at my company and there wasn't a good structure of where to put common questions our users ask, how to perform tasks, etc. Slab solved all that for us. We have multiple sections for different parts of our software and my team knows where to go if they have a question about a specific.

 ### 48. Helps our company stay organized!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

We love that it integrates with other office software like Google Drive and Slack, and that articles can be "nested" under several different tags. It's a great space to keep internal records on company standards, document templates, etc. to maintain consistency across employees and offices.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

The content map can become a little cumbersome when a given site has hundreds of articles written on it. If you have a lot of content and don't know exactly what you're searching for, it can be frustrating to navigate. The keyword search helps, but when you are searching for multiple words in succession, it will pull every article with any of the words typed, not just the entire phrase.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps our company to stay on the same page and understand the standards for deliverables we provide to our clients. It benefits us by providing our company with greater consistency in our output.

 ### 49. Easy to learn and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

The learning curve for Slab is quick. In no time, I was able to create topics and posts for my team to share with the rest of the company. The interface and layout are intuitive to follow. This has made adoption easy for our employees. I also love the search feature. Every time I search for a topic, it's found immediately.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

I have come across any frustrations yet. I've been using it for about nine months and have created at least 20 posts.

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab enables us to share searchable information in one place. We no longer need to search through docs and Slack posts to find the information we're looking for.

 ### 50. Slab is the solution we've been looking for

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamon H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Slab?**

Slab works the way I think. It allows for really easy authoring, tagging, searching, and editing of posts. It loads lightning-fast and is easy to browse as well. I especially like the activity stream and integrations with Slack, which is critical to our company.

**What do you dislike about Slab?**

Most of the problems I have with Slab aren't Slab's fault at all. Mainly getting my team to keep posts updated, which is more of an internal team thing than a technology thing. We're improving, though!

**What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slab helps us share knowledge, communicate policies and guidelines, brain-dump information for future retrieval, track important checklists (like app launch checklists), share data with clients, and a lot more.
