## Slack Reviews
  ### 1. Slack Connect Simplifies Cross-Company Collaboration, but Fast Chats Can Bury Key Updates

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura O. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Instead of falling back to slow email chains when working with vendors, agencies, or clients, Slack Connect creates secure, shared channels between completely separate organizations.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Unlike Basecamp's organized message boards or email's contained threads, Slack discussions move fast. If you miss a few hours in a busy channel, important decisions, status updates, and links can easily get buried under hundreds of casual messages. Unless a team explicitly enforces strict threading rules, context scatters rapidly.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email chains are inherently slow, formal, and difficult to follow when multiple people reply out of order. Decisions get delayed simply waiting on inbox refreshes.

  ### 2. Connects Well, But Fails on Mobile

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcos F. | Fractional Chief AI Officer / Senior AI Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like the creation of themed groups on Slack because it allows for the inclusion of data, videos, images, etc., and I find it relatively easy to use. This functionality allows for the subdivision of themes such as sprints and the division of topics by specific needs, such as feedback, support, questions, onboarding of new members, etc.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Terrible in mobile use, it doesn't have good visualization and doesn't mirror what's on the desktop. I would also like better visualization on the phone, the combination of various emails in a single view, and to include audio as a way to interact on Slack and transform it into text. Furthermore, I don't connect with other tools despite it being possible, because it opens many data security risks.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to connect and communicate with people globally on a single platform. It allows the creation of groups by themes and includes data, videos, and images. It facilitates communication in remote projects and organizes discussions by specific needs, such as feedback and support.

  ### 3. Using SLACK to communicate, train, and share account materials

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that it is easily searchable for terms, I like that it is secure since we are in the healthcare industry, I like that you can silence notifications for the entire app, or just specific group chats and can choose the amount of time independently. The channels feature is really nice for group chatting. I like that you can bookmark and pin things for reference later and the Huddles feature.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It's very hard to figure out how to set up a group in Slack, unlike with other apps I've used. I don't like that you can only search back for 3 months unless you upgrade to the paid option or that you cannot upgrade for just yourself, but it instead prompts you to upgrade for the entire company.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easy to speak with coworkers, share training data and account information. I like that you can use it on computer or phone in case you are away from home and remember you needed to share something to the group.

  ### 4. Great Collaboration and Dark Mode, But Bot Setup and Automation APIs Need Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It’s easy to connect with team members and stay up to date on project deliverables. I also really love the dark mode feature. That said, setting up a bot is pretty difficult, and there’s no REST API available for automation. Because of that, it becomes a painful process to create a new bot, set up permissions, and then wait for approval from Slack admins, which feels tedious. Performance-wise, it’s lightweight and quick, and it doesn’t consume much RAM. I haven’t fully tried the new Slack AI yet, but from my initial testing it seems to search for data much better than the conventional search, so I’m excited to use it more.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There are no REST APIs exposed for users or developers to consume, which makes automation through code much harder. The workflows also don’t offer many vital integrations, and it becomes difficult to get things approved. It would be much better if an ordinary user had more control over their account through REST APIs and PATs, instead of having to go the route of creating a bot.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps teammates connect more quickly. Instead of calling someone for every single question, they can just send a message, and whenever the other person gets a chance, they respond. It’s also useful to use workflows and bots to query containers running in a cluster and post the output directly in chat, so not every user has to manually go into the cluster and execute commands.

  ### 5. Great for Collaboration, but Chat History Limits

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aman J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I used Slack for a course from Algozenith to keep in touch with mentors and fellow batchmates, which was really convenient. It was handy for sharing meet links for classes and notes. I appreciate that Slack doesn't require entering a phone number(as i am not bound for signing in based on cellular network signal) and works via email using OTP or email links, so I don't need to remember passwords. I like the various provisions of different text channels as they can be used for discussions on different topics. I also find the huddle feature useful for voice calls over Wi-Fi, making conversational discussions faster and more natural. The initial setup was very easy, which I appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The chat history is not available after 90 days and you need to purchase a pro version to see chat history.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to connect with mentors and batchmates for a course, share class links and notes, use different channels for topic discussions, and the huddle feature allows for natural voice conversations over Wi-Fi.

  ### 6. Great integrations for workflows, but easy to miss for time-sensitive newsroom communication

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcos P. | Product Manager, Newspapers, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack works well as a central hub for internal communication and workflow automation. One of its biggest strengths is how easily it integrates with other tools we use every day, such as Marfeel. For example, we can automatically receive audience performance reports like the Good Morning summary directly in specific channels. This keeps the team informed without manual effort and ensures key data stays visible when making editorial and product decisions.

It’s also helpful for keeping discussions organized by topic, team, or project through dedicated channels. On top of that, Slack connects smoothly with other tools that are common in digital media workflows, such as Google Drive, calendars, and task notifications. Overall, these integrations reduce our reliance on email and bring important operational information into a single workspace.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Despite its strengths, Slack isn’t always the most practical communication tool for day-to-day newsroom dynamics. Many journalists and editors—especially those working on the ground or out in the field—tend to rely more on WhatsApp, which they check far more frequently throughout the day. As a result, Slack messages and notifications can be overlooked or missed entirely, which reduces its usefulness for time-sensitive communication.

In practice, communication often feels more fluid and immediate through tools that are already deeply embedded in daily routines, like WhatsApp. For that reason, Slack seems better suited to structured updates, automation, and internal coordination, rather than urgent, real-time conversations with reporters who are outside the newsroom.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps us address the challenge of centralizing internal communication and automated information flows in a digital newsroom. Rather than relying on email threads or manual updates, Slack lets us bring key operational messages, data, and notifications together in structured channels that teams can follow easily.

With integrations and automations, Slack also allows us to receive daily audience performance reports—such as Marfeel’s Good Morning summary—directly in the most relevant channels. This cuts down on manual reporting, provides consistent access to the same data, and helps editorial and product teams stay aligned around performance insights. Overall, Slack improves coordination, reduces information silos, and makes workflows more efficient, even if real-time field communication still happens through other tools.

  ### 7. Overwhelming Notifications and Scattered Channels Limit Slack’s Focus

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raghav S. | Undergraduate student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack’s most helpful feature is its organized channel-based communication, which keeps conversations structured by topic or team. The ability to search past messages, share files instantly, and integrate with tools like Google Drive makes collaboration very efficient compared to email

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack can become overwhelming with constant notifications, making it difficult to focus on deep work. The free plan’s message history limit is also restrictive, and conversations can get scattered across too many channels, making it hard to track important information

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of fragmented communication by bringing team conversations, file sharing, and tool integrations into one platform. It eliminates excessive email chains and helps me stay updated on group projects in real time. For academic and project-based collaboration, it makes coordinating with teammates significantly faster and more organized

  ### 8. Useful Privacy, but Slow Uploads and Unfriendly Settings

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vamsi K. | Product manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Users can’t see whether we’ve read the message or not.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slow uploads for all media content, and some settings aren’t very user-friendly, especially when we want to go away. It would be better if there were a simple option to click on the profile and have it go away.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team communication and updates act as a workforce tool, helping everyone stay aligned and informed.

  ### 9. Essential for Communication, But Needs Better Privacy Controls

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** devya s. | Product Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I used Slack for my product management course to communicate and share files. It solved multi-channel communication problems, with everything from calling to messaging to group chats all in one place. I like that it's easy to use, and the UI/UX is smooth. I also appreciate being able to share files directly in chat.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I don't like that my personal details like phone number and email ID are publicly available. I think it would be better if they were blurred for everyone who is not in my common connections like groups or who don't have mutual members.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Slack to solve multi-channel communication problems, providing everything in one place, from calls to messages to group chats, and I appreciate the easy file sharing and smooth UI.

  ### 10. Great Communication Features, But Glitches and Confusing Workspaces Hold It Back

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy T. | Managing Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The channels feature, DM feature, and reaction feature make this the best way to communicate with coworkers and receive notifications.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes, the software has glitches, and when I am in multiple workspaces, it can get a bit confusing. While the notifications feature is nice, it sometimes leads way to a poor work life balance.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps keep communication professional yet casual, without needing emails or texting. It also helps keep a clean paper trail for the office, and allows me to casually bump tasks.

  ### 11. Efficient Communication, Needs Simplification

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel J. | Production Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like how Slack allows me to include different content in my communication, which is really helpful. I also appreciate the ability to quickly upload or access documents, images, and files all in one communication section. This centralization is great because I can access everything from one spot rather than pulling items from multiple places.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It feels a little clunky, possibly due to the amount of things going on or things available that I'm not using. Maybe streamlining specific features to only show as available, then provide others upon request?

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack lets me include different content in my communication and quickly upload or access docs, images, and files, which centralizes everything for quick access instead of pulling items from multiple spots.

  ### 12. Multi-Channel Chats, but Overly Complicated vs. ClickUp or Asana

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robyn-Lee S. | Content Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Honestly, there isn’t much to say. From what I can tell, it lets users create multi-channel chats.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It feels overly complicated compared to other productivity and collaborative solutions like Microsoft Teams, ClickUp, Asana, etc. Additionally, most project and task management tools have collaboration, chat, and thread features built in, which makes Slack an unnecessary add-on to your tech stack. It's one more app to pay for, check, integrate, etc. I prefer all-in-one solutions.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a helpful way for remote teams to collaborate and communicate. Since I’m already familiar with the platform, it’s beneficial when I’m working with a company that uses Slack.

  ### 13. Great for Real-Time Huddles, but Visual Clutter Makes Content Hard to FindVis

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Ability to communicate or huddle in real time with colleagues. Option to group topics of conversation. Keep network up to date with posts.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Messy visually. Hard to locate items pinned to channels. Difficult to save documents or share them. If you have a large network (We have 1500) it can become overwhelming with too much info, which is not neatly presented and info can easily become lost.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to reach out to colleagues in real time and easily jump on a call if needed. Share info with large groups of people by topic. Make announcements. PIN regularly used documents/forms.

  ### 14. Great Chat and Scheduled Reminders, but Meeting Audio/Video Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sagar Z. | Sr.Flutter developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

i like chat functionality and also reminder and i cant set message what ever time i want to sent i can set time so auto send message on my time i liked it

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Meeting audio and video calling system i dont like it

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve communication and collaboration problems in teams by keeping conversations, updates, and files organized in channels. Instead of long email chains, everything can be discussed quickly in one place. It benefits me by making communication faster, improving coordination with team members, and helping track important discussions and project updates easily.

  ### 15. Useful for businesses, but expensive for individuals and NGOs

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo Juan H. | IoT Expert - AI Integrator, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I think the most useful thing about Slack is being able to use those channels. Although I am not an advanced user of Slack, I believe the way communication is conducted within the platform is quite organized.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

That I cannot connect directly with other people, I have to add them to my group or they have to be in the group I am in. I would like to be able to communicate with people outside the organization and not have to add them to communicate directly with them. The only thing that bothers me is that I have to log in to each of the communities or groups independently, I cannot have a unified login. So, every time I log out, I have to log back in one by one, and that is quite cumbersome.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack facilitates communication in communities and groups from other companies for me, although I don't use it for my own activities.

  ### 16. Great Mobile Integration, But Needs More Flexibility

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacey Leveille-Casseus S. | Ecommerce Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that Slack's mobile integration matches the desktop view. Having all features identical makes it easy to edit and reply on the go.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I don't like that the tools feature only allows you to assign one person to a task. Also, there was a struggle with the initial setup since I was added as an external user. My email was tied to my old free trial account and it was difficult to remove that profile. Another issue is the limitation on using the account to communicate with people outside of the team if they don't have a payment account.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for communicating with my international team members. The mobile and desktop views match, making it easy to edit and reply on the go.

  ### 17. Organized Communication, But Limited Free Version

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that Slack is organized and offers a free version. I appreciate how you can create different threads for different topics, and I can give different employees access to different threads based on what projects they are working on. The initial setup of Slack was easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I wish that the free version didn't have your history disappear. I had issues where not all of my employees would receive notifications when a message was sent. I don't know why this is. They all said they had notifications turned on for it.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack organizes communication by topics, allowing me to create threads for different projects and control employee access. This helps streamline our internal communication.

  ### 18. Strong Integration Potential, but Pricey and Tricky to Set Up

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nithya S. | QA Copilot, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Integration with other apps—such as GitHub, CI/CD workflows, or other custom-made automated channels—is possible.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It’s pricey and not really affordable for a small-sized company. The free version has limited features, and setting up integrations with other apps/channels are not straight forward.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Real time faster communication. My company uses Slack for all internal communications.

  ### 19. Useful Channels, But Too Many Rooms Clutter the Board

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Autumn M. | Salesperson, Telecommunications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The ability to create different channels is really useful.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Having so many different rooms can end up cluttering the user board and make it feel a bit harder to navigate.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to stay in touch with coworkers and train new agents through chat.

  ### 20. Sign-In Process Needs Improvement for Better Connectivity

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Ability to keep track of tasks, assign tasks to individuals, groups, teams, mark tasks as completed.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Personally, I diislike the sign-in options, having to remember your channels or various groups/sign-ins, and I do not find it easy to connect with others quickly.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would not say that Slack is solving any problems or pain points for us currently, due to the fact that not enough of our network uses slack compared to other messaging apps such as Teams, WhatsApp, Signal, etc.

  ### 21. Good enough but hard to work with it in the long term

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego Felipe M. | C# consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

You can send messages with rich content fast and easy, also you can call directly a contact or huddle a group without problems, with high quality, transcriptions and useful tools like a pen to write in the remote screen.

I used it frequently, every day in my job, and is our main tool to let communications open in a remote work modality because you can jump between devices without problems, so is too easy to implement it in your workaround if you are traveling.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Is too hard to find old messages, or groups, this is especially bad when you don't remember with who you talked to find the exact slack channel you want, and the search field is not quite useful. So I hate that I cannot get an historical view about my 100 channels created in the last year or something like that.

This limitation blocks the capability to use slack like a technical diary or knowledge base when you want to recover a shared file in a forgotten channel that just god known where is.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Talk with someone else is directly, so is delightful to avoid the headaches configuring tools just to call a partner, just login and that's all, you will never loose a message even if you are offline.

  ### 22. Fast Communication, Needs Better Notification Handling

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** geresetotaw S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for fast communication and staying connected with my team, which significantly enhances our collaboration. I really appreciate how Slack solves communication delays and helps keep everything organized. The platform makes communication straightforward and staying organized is a breeze, thanks to its well-structured channels and quick messaging features. Additionally, the transition from Microsoft Teams to Slack was seamless because Slack is faster and makes managing conversations much easier. The initial setup was simple, and everyone adapted to Slack without any issues. I also value its integration with other tools like Google Drive for file sharing and Zoom for meetings, which streamlines our workflows and contributes to an efficient working environment.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I find that notifications on Slack can sometimes be slow, which can lead to delays in receiving important updates. Additionally, the platform can become confusing when managing too many channels, as it lacks efficient organizing tools to handle them effectively.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for fast communication and staying connected with my team, solving communication delays and keeping everything organized.

  ### 23. Expected More from a Leading Platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zaid M. | Telesales Executive - USA Market, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack offers a user-friendly interface that makes team communication straightforward, with easy implementation and setup that gets you started quickly. The platform provides a solid range of features and integrations that connect well with other tools, while reliable customer support is available when needed. It's become an essential daily tool for keeping our team connected and organized across multiple channels and workspaces.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Organization & Usability:

"Thread conversations become chaotic quickly, making it difficult to follow discussions. The channel clutter becomes unmanageable as the team grows."
"Information gets lost easily in the endless scroll of messages. The search functionality is unreliable, often failing to find conversations I know exist.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

"Centralizes team communication in one platform, reducing email clutter."
"Keeps conversations organized by project and topic through channels."
"Enables quick real-time collaboration across remote teams."

  ### 24. Efficient Communication with a Few Gaps

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelton E. | Sales Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for communicating with my team, and I like that I can see all my conversations in one easy-to-view place. I really like the fact that I can huddle with teammates quickly and chat with them whenever I need to. It's also great that I can see a transcript of the call afterwards, which is really useful for keeping track of discussions. Overall, I like everything about it.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I just wish it took auto notes on Huddle's.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that I can see all my conversations in one easy to view place. It helps me communicate with my team and quickly huddle with teammates.

  ### 25. Solid Communication Tool with Navigation Challenges

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James F. | Performance and Mobile Partnerships Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for messaging with clients. It allows quick communication, which is essential when building momentum is challenging through emails or weekly calls. I find Slack easy to use, and I like that you can create private groups. This feature helps separate general chat from focused projects. The initial setup of Slack was easy too.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I find Slack hard to navigate with its confusing menus.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for quick communication, as emails and calls struggle to build momentum. It's easy to use, and I like creating private groups to separate general chat from focused projects.

  ### 26. Threads vs. Channel Replies: Great Organization, But Conversations Get Tangled

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack compartmentalizes conversations into specific channels, which helps keep discussions centered on particular projects, teams, or topics. As a result, it’s much easier to follow what matters to me and tune out what doesn’t.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

When users reply in the main channel instead of a thread, conversations become tangled and impossible to follow.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The interface is easy to use, and the free plan is really powerful.

  ### 27. Challenging Transition, But Simplifies Industry Collaboration

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiri G. | REALTOR, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I find Slack immensely useful for workplace collaboration, particularly in connecting with others in my industry for the brokerage I work for. It facilitates seamless interaction, which is crucial for effective communication and project coordination. I also appreciate how easy it was to set up Slack, as it was automatically integrated from my brokerage, saving time and effort during the transition from our previous system.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I find Slack to be more complicated than our previous system, which is a bit overwhelming. The interface feels like a mess with a load of things that aren't as user-friendly as I hoped. My lack of experience with Slack also contributes to not being able to utilize it effectively, which adds to the complexity I perceive.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack enables us to collaborate with industry partners in my brokerage, simplifying workplace collaboration.

  ### 28. Slack keeps our team connected and productive

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chiranjit D. | Project Manager, Translation and Localization, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team communication way easier and faster. No more digging through endless email chains. Plus, having tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Jira all connected in one place really helps us stay organized and saves a ton of time.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes it’s easy to miss important messages because channels get so busy. And if you’re in too many channels, the notifications can get pretty overwhelming.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack really cuts down on all those long email chains and makes chatting with the team way quicker and easier. It’s super handy for staying up to date, sharing files, and working together in real time, especially when everyone’s remote or on different teams. Having everything in one spot means I don’t have to dig through a bunch of emails to find what I’m looking for.

  ### 29. Great Organizational Tool with Limitations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Orlando L.

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love Slack's ability to sort group communications, which is especially beneficial given my involvement in numerous teams and groups. Slack helps in organizing my communications efficiently, without the need to sift through emails.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I found the early setup of Slack to be challenging due to account management issues, as it required users to navigate through multiple URLs for different accounts—work and personal—which often got mixed up. Also, the reduction of message archiving time for free accounts has been disappointing, as it diminishes the value of maintaining a long history of messages, appearing as a move by Slack to incentivize users to upgrade to paid plans. This limitation particularly affects those involved in non-work communications, such as volunteer groups, since such groups may not have the budget to pay for Slack and could seek alternatives. As much as I prefer Slack for my work needs, I would not be willing to pay for it for personal use.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Slack organizes my communications by sorting discussions into different areas, benefiting both my professional and personal engagements. It eliminates the need to manage communications through email, although the limited memory for free accounts is a downside.

  ### 30. Newer abd better ui , compatible with salesforce

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** vishwesh m. | associate consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love the user-friendly interface of Slack, which makes communication within teams and across different departments so efficient. The ability to create channels for specific projects or topics, as well as direct messaging and integrations with other tools, really streamlines collaboration. The search functionality is also impressive, allowing me to easily find past messages or files. Overall, Slack has definitely improved the way my team communicates and works together.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

As a Slack user, I have found that one drawback is the limitation on the number of integrations available in the free version. Upgrading to a paid plan is necessary to access advanced integrations with other tools and services. Additionally, the search functionality could be more robust, especially when looking for older messages or files. Overall, these limitations can potentially impact team collaboration and productivity.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is a powerful communication and collaboration tool that allows teams to streamline their workflow and increase productivity. By bringing all conversations, files, and tools into one centralized platform, Slack helps teams stay organized, informed, and connected.

One of the major problems that Slack solves is the issue of scattered communication. With Slack, all team communication is centralized and searchable, making it easy to find important information and keep track of discussions. This has greatly improved communication within our team and has reduced the need for endless email chains and meetings.

Additionally, Slack offers a wide range of features that help teams collaborate more effectively, such as channels for organizing discussions, file sharing capabilities, integrations with other tools, and customizable notifications. This has helped us streamline our workflow, improve transparency, and make decisions more efficiently.

Overall, Slack has been a game-changer for our team, helping us stay organized, productive, and connected, no matter where we are located. Its user-friendly interface, robust feature set, and reliable performance make it an essential tool for modern teams.

  ### 31. Group Collaboration Is Good, But Channel Navigation Is Confusing

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura R. | Freelance Translator (English - Spanish - English), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

This is a good platform for organizing teamwork, although I find it not particularly easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I find it quite confusing. With multiple groups or channels, it can be really difficult to figure out which channel contains the unread message that just appeared in the pop-up notification.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not entirely convinced that it actually addresses any specific problems. While I do use it for collaborative projects, I find that the platform isn't always the most user-friendly.

  ### 32. Strong Privacy and Message Editing, With Room to Grow

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Customer success associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I value privacy, and I also want the ability to edit messages after they’ve been sent. Slack offers that.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

All good on my end. I think the app works well overall.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Privacy and collaboration

  ### 33. Impressed by the AI Agent roadmap and potential

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Namkyu K. | HR Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is already central to our daily communication, and the upcoming AI Agent capabilities seem promising. The recent webinar gave a clear overview of how agents like Agentforce could streamline workflows by helping employees retrieve answers, complete tasks, and interact with systems without leaving Slack. I appreciate Slack’s focus on usability and integration, and I’m looking forward to trying these features once they’re available in our environment.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Right now, it's unclear how visibility and access controls work when using AI agents in shared vs. private spaces. I’d like to see more transparency around whether agent conversations are public in channels or private like DMs. Also, some of the agent features discussed in the webinar aren't yet available in our Slack instance, which makes it hard to evaluate them fully.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps us reduce email overload and streamline real-time communication across departments. It improves response time, minimizes context-switching, and keeps conversations organized by topic or project using channels. It also integrates well with our tools like Jira and Freshdesk, making it easier to track issues and follow up in one place.

  ### 34. User-Friendly and Comprehensive, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura C. | Intake Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Very friendly, complete and easy to use for a new user

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Notifications are annoying and you can’t personalize them, there are channels that for some reason gets muted and you don’t receive notifications

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very detailed when you search for a message and you don’t remember in which chat or channel you posted it

  ### 35. Great for Work Chats, But Notification System Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brijesh U. | Marketing Specialist, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like it how it is discord, but for work. it has multiple tools within like notes projects etc

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It's UI, It is easily navigatable, but you'll always wonder where did this message notification came from

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently it is mostly business messaging

  ### 36. Slack Review for Team Communication

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Veterinary | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that I can set timeframes to be offline and not receive messages. This allows me to only be available and only receive messages during my scheduled work hours.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I can't see who reacts to comments, only the total number of people that reacts. Replies to comments seem to get lost. The team does not use it much and communication has decreased since switching to this from texting.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was implemented to help with internal communication. I don't think it's solving that or any problem at the moment.

  ### 37. A modern take on IRC, that claims to save us time on email but replace that with time spent on Slack

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Being able to get hold of a colleague quickly. The huddle feature has improved to the point where sharing a screen with a colleague is simple. Searching has become better, and finding some information in Slack is possible.

It seems that there may finally be the ability to hide a user, be that bot or human. This is a promising development for those meme-posting colleagues in an unrelated department or automated messages from a bot that are not relevant to everyone.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Inability to mute users, including bots. For example, it is very irritating when it is impossible to mute messages from a build process that a bot sends to a channel. Ironically, Slack allows you to mute the entire channel, so the mute functionality exists only at the channel level rather than the user level, which provides a big hammer approach rather than fine-grained control.

Slack also affords everyone the ability to interrupt your focus on work. Like email, it also enables distractions, such as memes and discussions about non-work-related topics.

People seem to write in a more chatty fashion than when composing an email. The resulting lack of initially included context can result in a lot of back and forth.

These last two may be considered a people problem, but the product's nature encourages it.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a communication platform that allows for collaboration. It does a pretty good job of enabling communications via text chat and collaboration through the Huddle feature, which is close to Google Meet in functionality.

  ### 38. Team communication - great for project collabs

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The ability to integrate with other platforms through Workato, such as with TrackVia. We could then start a discussion in a channel based on records being updated in views.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Customer support is lacking in the free version so you can only troubleshoot via the online Help Center.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to message our team and discuss projects, file sharing and huddle in channels with video or audio conferences.

  ### 39. Widely Adopted Across Web & Desktop, but Office Integration Lags Behind

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis K. | Owner, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Wide-spread adoption. Web and desktop version

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Declining in popularity. Doesn't have the same integration with Office as MS Teams

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication with colleagues. Sharing/collaboration

  ### 40. Great Collaboration, But Site Speed Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Serge A. | Database Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Ease of use, collaboation and great team functions

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

nothing really worth noting but sometimes the site can be slow

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helping us keep users connected and making sure nothing gets lost

  ### 41. Slack Lacks the versatilty to compete.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daryl A. | IT Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It was a nice application a few years ago for team collaboration, however, many other platforms have added these types of features including Ai and better accessibility features.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There were to many notifications. I used Slack with the Grow with Google program and have team members from all over the world. 300+ members all on a slack channel and the notifications were all times of the day for anything. Had to turn it off.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the collaboration issues of teams that may be in different time zones, and other integrated features for sharing.

  ### 42. Great Organization Features, But Interface Feels Crowded

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The platform sets up a dedicated space for each company, making it easier to organize and manage work, besides having a nice design.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I find it difficult to access and organize my relationships, as the text and workspaces often feel crowded and overwhelming.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the simplicity of navigation and makes it easy to communicate.

  ### 43. A good platform for communication with co-workers to manage tasks.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karishma S. | Anime Content Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It's genuinely good product for managing the task because previously, I used depends on apps, such as whatsapp and telegram to get my hands on my projects. It was fine, but I did felt like it's lacking some functionality that, I needed for my project like, there was no such option to put deadline or get notification about deadline on certain project, that I needed the most as a writer.

But when I came across the slack that was recommended by one of my client, I started using it and it was quiet helpful to manage my tasks, I can now mark deadlines and write certain criteria that I needed to remember before and after completing my project.

Also, now its easier to connect with my client and communicate regarding the project without looking any other substitute.

They share their projects with expected deadlines and I can fulfill my work on time without nagging around and asking for details regarding the every projects. It became my one stop destination for all my work and needs of my clients.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Firstly, one thing that comes to my mind after reading the question is that, there are some things that you get access only through business plan provided by slack, Which is understandable but still it is bit lacking for me.

The second thing, I can think about is technicality, like it was bizarre for me to shift from easy to use platform like whatsapp and telegram to slack and get accustomed to it. It was surely hard to understand but after awhile you get hang of it.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So the problem mainly slack solves for me is, streamlining every information I require to one source and putting all my clients and peers on one single platform. It helped me reduce the delays in accomplishing projects and keep a track of them.
I had to check different platforms just to see if they have any requirements for me to fulfil, but now I can just create channels and give access to the clients to message their projects with deadlines and I can just put them as my tasks.

  ### 44. Slack: A Powerful Collaboration Tool with Room to Improve

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shakeeb S. | Consultant , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack helps me stay connected with my team across time zones. Huddles and status updates make remote work feel personal.
Slack makes communication seamless—threads, channels, and DMs keep everything organized without drowning in emails.
Slack’s API and bot support let us automate workflows and build custom integrations. It’s incredibly flexible.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Notifications can get overwhelming, especially in large workspaces with too many active channels
Search is powerful but sometimes feels cluttered—finding older messages or files can take time

Slack doesn’t handle time zones well—scheduling messages or reminders across regions is tricky

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Actually slack is used connect with different zone and teams. Slack is not a self capable tool to resolve anything.

Slack bridges the gap between remote team members. Features like huddles, status updates, and asynchronous messaging help us stay connected without being tied to a schedule.

It reduces the need for constant meetings by enabling quick decision-making through channels and threads.

  ### 45. Good but it can be better

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kranthi K. | QA Test Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Compare to other platforms, data is secure as I am using in my organisation. So only people who are having access to organization can communicate.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Creating a huddle means connecting with other can be more user friendly.
No record option while having huddle

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More secured
Scammer can't be reached and data security is good

  ### 46. Accessible to Everyone, with Room to Grow

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is available to everyone in the organization and it keeps a tally of conversations.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I found the setup to use clunky, especially with integrating it with other software like ZoomInfo

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack would be great if we could get it consistently working with ZoomInfo to send over notifications, etc.

  ### 47. Powerful Networking Tool, But Slack-Based Workflow Limits Data Organization

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The Slack notifications are helpful for real-time visibility — I know immediately when someone from the team connects with a lead, which helps us stay responsive during events or activations.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There’s no simple way to categorize, search, or organize leads directly from Slack without extra manual effort or exporting everything. For teams trying to manage ongoing follow-ups or B2B pipelines, the system just doesn’t scale well.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps us bridge communication gaps across remote and hybrid teams. It reduces email overload, centralizes conversations, and makes it easier to collaborate in real-time. We rely on it for project coordination, quick check-ins, and sharing time-sensitive updates. It also allows us to integrate key tools like Google Drive, Asana, and Zoom directly into our workflow.

That said, it’s not ideal for long-term data organization or lead management — things tend to get buried unless we take extra steps to pull information into structured tools.

  ### 48. Great for Team Chats, But Limited Use

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyelynne B. | Student Success Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It does allow the ability to have a group chat and individual chats with colleagues that use it.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

In my work experience, there is not a lot of groups I work with that use slack as their main form of communication.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The idea of using hashtag-specific chats is quite helpful, as it allows you to share your thoughts within a focused topic. I appreciate this feature because it makes it easier to find exactly what you're looking for.

  ### 49. Fun Communication with Slack, But Not Fully Utilized

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hitomi I. | DX consultant

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I find Slack to be very quick and enjoyable, especially with the use of emojis, which makes communication more fun. Additionally, the Slack flow is incredibly helpful in organizing tasks and managing workflow efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I find it challenging to catch up with all the features of Slack, which makes me feel like I'm not using all the features available.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very quick and more fun with emojis, and Slack flow is very helpful.

  ### 50. Quick, Direct Communication Stands Out

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not needing to resort to email to collaborate on a project.
