I love using this to keep track of my vacation time, as well as the 1:1 notes from my manager.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Mmm, at the very beggining of the year i was having issues about my vacation time that i didn't like but i guess it was just rules from my employee

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it helps solve my employees’ issues when it comes to keeping track of the status of each employee, and I think it’s great. It keeps them organized and makes it easier to stay on top of where everyone stands.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

Easy for employees to use as many or as few features as needed. Employees can clock in and out easily and without confusion, sometimes that really is all that's needed.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

BambooHR has done a great job of helping us keep up with new hiring needs and employee management. 

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before BambooHR our personnel files were a mess! Keeping up with expiring documents for 100+ employees was a nightmare. BambooHR's customizable employee info and email alerts have made keeping up with documents and background checks incredibly user-friendly for admins, managers, and the employees themselves.

BambooHR's interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making tasks like tracking time off, accessing employee records, and managing onboarding straightforward. The self-service features save HR a lot of back-and-forth, and the reporting tools make it simple to pull the data you need without much manual work.

Some of the more advanced customization and reporting options feel limited compared to larger HRIS platforms, and certain features (like performance management or payroll in some regions) often require add-ons or integrations rather than being built in natively. The mobile app also feels a bit less polished than the desktop version.

Honestly, nothing. Bamboo is a tool that is simple to understand/use and it allows for adequate performance tracking.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

It is very digestible and easy to follow along. You can identify the categories and locations you need to access with ease. It also highlights any to-do items (such as for onboarding) which is helpful. Having designed areas for performance and goals also helps push employees forward as opposed to just a place to look at your pto.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The least helpful thing about Bamboo is the Files section. It uses one main header, but the documents aren’t grouped into smaller subfolders, so having 35 files in the “401k” folder can make it hard to narrow down what I’m looking for. It would be helpful to have more AI support for organizing or searching, or other options that integrate with other platforms.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I use BambooHR mainly for two things: signing compensation packages and requesting time off — and it handles both really well.

The compensation package signing process is smooth and straightforward. Everything is clearly laid out, and I never have to chase down paperwork or wonder about the status of a document.

Requesting vacation is equally simple. Just a few clicks and my request is submitted. I can see my available balance and track approvals without having to email HR back and forth.

Overall, BambooHR makes these HR tasks feel effortless. It's intuitive, reliable, and saves a lot of time for both employees and HR teams. Highly recommended!

What I like best about BambooHR is its clean UI and ease of use. It’s simple to find people, access employee information, and manage HR tasks efficiently. 

The integrations, especially with Lever, help streamline workflows, and overall the platform performs reliably. The onboarding experience is also smooth, making it easy for teams to get started quickly.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I love how easy BambooHR is to use, especially on my Android app. It's fairly easy on the web as well, but I find it so convenient to be able to use it with my phone. I can just pull it out to check things like when I booked a vacation, how many vacation days I have left, and see if anybody is on vacation or who is in the office. The initial setup was pretty frictionless, as it was just a login I received by email, and then I installed the app on my phone, and it worked really well.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

It doesn't seem like our organization is using all of the features. And it would be really nice if they were using all of the features. So sometimes, some of the features are showing blanks.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use BambooHR for managing vacation and time off, signing documents, and checking who's in or out of the office. It's easy to use, especially on my phone, for quick vacation bookings and status checks.

I use BambooHR for leave management, document signing, and managing our team structure. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, and I especially appreciate how straightforward the leave management is and how seamless the document signing feels—both save time and simplify day-to-day HR tasks. The leave management feature is particularly helpful because it makes it easy to request, approve, and track employee leave accurately. Overall, the initial setup was pretty easy as well.

It’s easy to navigate and has a clean, simple UI. I also love seeing the new joiners each week and getting to learn a bit about them.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Even though the UI is easy to navigate, in my opinion the design looks very outdated. Also, I don’t see any AI-powered features anywhere in the product - or, if there are any, I’ve never come across them.

The organizational chart is great and very straightforward. It makes it easy for me to see who I should talk to about specific topics. It’s also simple to request time off and similar items. I can view all of my team’s approved requests in a calendar format, which helps me a lot.

The interface is very neat, and the summary on the Home page is genuinely helpful—especially for new joiners. It makes it easy to find key information like holidays, leave details, and other updates at a glance.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I don’t see many integrations with Netsuite. Integration with Productive still seems better, because when someone applies for leave in BambooHR, it reflects in Productive instantly. So, in that sense, the performance is great.

We used to struggle to keep track of which resources were on sick leave, whether it was planned or unplanned. Now it’s much easier to manage and see at a glance. The org chart is also very helpful for quickly finding the reporting structure and understanding who reports to whom.

I really like how easy to use BambooHR is and the interface being modern. There is never any delays or glitches; it's reliable, which is important when you are applying/onboarding and this experience can be anxiety-inducing. I think it ensures a good, neutral communication platform between applicants and firms as you don't need to register on to their systems. The initial setup was super easy; I just started using it and I was able to begin onboarding with no issues.

At times there are login issues, like it only lets you login with a Microsoft account, and sometimes I didn't have an appropriate Microsoft account to use, only Google.

I use BambooHR for onboarding and maintaining records. It offers secure form filling before email setup with a good DocuSign link. It's easy to use with a modern, reliable interface that's crucial during the anxiety of applying or onboarding.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I find BambooHR's website easy to use and very intuitive. It makes the onboarding process seamless and efficient, allowing me to do what I need to do and submit everything at once without having to communicate back and forth. The platform is straightforward, with all steps broken down, making it easy to confirm and submit required tasks. Setting up was also very straightforward, just going through each step and confirming completion. I appreciate how BambooHR consolidates everything into one platform, making the process a lot easier and more organized.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I had a bit of confusion when logging into BambooHR initially. I didn't know what my password was, so I had to go through the process of resetting it. Maybe there was something I missed, but it would be great if this part could be a bit clearer.

I find BambooHR makes onboarding easier by having all documents in one platform. It reduces my need for back-and-forth communication, and I appreciate its seamless and efficient nature, along with its intuitive features.

User friendly, you can see who works in each department of the company, can review candidates that applied for a position.

Honestly there is nothing I dislike about the platform.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I apprecaite how user friendly it is, and i like how customized you can make the fields/tables/folders.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The ATS needs work. I’d like to be able to build custom dashboards within the ATS. Right now, if I want to pull a report for job openings, I have to select each opening individually. I want the option to view and report on all openings at once instead of going one by one.

Additionally, I can only pull those reports for open jobs, not for jobs that are in draft, closed, or filled status. I’d also like to have more standard, BambooHR-created ATS reports available than what’s currently accessible. We’re heavily considering switching to another ATS/HRIS, so this is very important to us.

I’d also like custom widgets/dashboards for headcount and attrition. At the moment it shows all employees together, and I want to be able to separate the data by hourly versus salary.

I would like to have a dedicated contact person from BambooHR, i don't think we have ever spoken to the same person twice which can be frustrating. 

I would also like BambooHR to do an audit of our account to see if we are utilizing the software to its full potential with everything built out. 

I think that the overall price is reasonable. If we decide to stay with BambooHR i suspect we would upgrade to the Pro package so I would want time to consider if that is worth it. 

It does not currently integrate with Employee Navigator, that would be a helpful integration going forward.

I would love for the ATS to utilize an AI agent to assist me in screening resumes and presenting me with helpful information with my search. i would also like to ask AI to find me a candidate with "XXX skills" from the database. 

Overall I think BambooHR is a great product for smaller organizations. s a construction company we are hire heavy and I would really like for the ATS portion to be refined further. i would love to stay on BambooHR and have one software for all needs.

The UI is simple, intuitive, and follows what has become the standard for HR management systems. Managing time off, performance reviews, employee information, and other common HR tasks is straightforward. The platform is easy to navigate, although some workflows could be streamlined further to reduce the number of clicks needed for certain actions.

I really like how seamless BambooHR is and how well it integrates with other workflows. The intuitive layout makes it much smoother to create holidays compared to the old process, which had a lot of cross wires. It helps me keep track of everything with different sections like my personal section, job information, and the history of holidays taken. I find it very time-saving to have all this information in one place and easily accessible. BambooHR is also much more professional and intuitive, and it simplifies the onboarding process for startups.

To be honest, I would say that it would be nice if the whole trading section could have more features, so I can integrate some possible files or add my own CSV documents as well.

I've had a very positive experience with BambooHR. BambooHR is quite intuitive, visually clean, and easy to navigate, while still offering enough customization to adapt to the company's processes.

Whenever we've needed assistance with configuration changes or adjustments, the support team is responsive and helpful. Overall, BambooHR has become a key part of our HR operations and has consistently met our needs as our organization has evolved.

More flexibility in configuring some exceptions for example in performance management would make the platform even more effective for organizations with more complex HR policies for different locations, etc, but it's good enough for now.

I find that BambooHR really helps us connect with people in the organization, being a good portal to connect with my managers and peers. The leave management system is the best feature for me because it's so easy to apply for a leave. I appreciate not having to manually go to managers, which saves time, as I can apply online and have a good management portal to see all my current leaves, upcoming holidays, and everything else. I also found the onboarding process via BambooHR straightforward, as I was given a set of questions and easily answered them, with details still being reflected in my profile.

I appreciate that a lot of features can be accessed on mobile just like on the desktop, making it really handy for when I forget to do something and need the calendar to reflect my availability accurately. The intuitive design helps me easily see how many days I've taken off and what's coming up. Plus, the mobile access is great for putting in for time off while on the go, allowing me to ensure everything is accurate even if I'm not by my computer. The initial setup was super easy and quick, right out of the box.

Also, it's helpful because a tool that's easy to look at and nice to use makes me use it a lot more.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like that it is a one stop shop. It houses our timecard, training, and pay information. As well as company documents we need to reference on occasion. Employee benefit information is also displayed nicely. We complete our annual performance reviews in the system and we have the option to enter shout outs for outstanding team members here. I love that our dashboard provides links to the other company resources we use as well and it's also easy to navigate through BambooHR.

We occasionally experience login issues which prevents team members from clocking in and out. Any issue we've experienced is usually remedied within an hour so it doesn't cause to much of an issue.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I really find the functionality of BambooHR to be really good. It's easy for employees to navigate and learn how to use it for what they need. As one of the main administrators, it's straightforward for me to make updates to benefits, upload documentation, run reports, and manage new joiners and offboarding. The user interface looks good and ticks all the boxes we need. I particularly enjoy the custom reports function because it's a huge time saver. I can easily get the snapshot data I need, plug in different variables, see the information update instantly, and then export it for use in Excel. The system scales fairly well for our company of 150 people, with the organization chart updating automatically and reporting lines fairly straightforward to build. Overall, these features provide an excellent communication channel for keeping employees up to date.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The holiday calculations are always a bit of an issue for me. I've discovered through using the system as our holiday year resets, it's a bit clunky to get the proper holiday balances for people and also what they have accrued for the year versus what they have used. So that's been a frustration, which I have fed back to BambooHR.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

A few things have changed since my original review worth noting. We actually downgraded from the Pro Package to the Core Plan; not because of any dissatisfaction, but because we stopped using annual performance reviews and weren't utilizing Employee Community, so it simply didn't make sense to pay for features we weren't using. BambooHR made that transition easy with no drama.

What I want to add is this: the longer I use BambooHR, the more convinced I am that it's the right platform. The ATS continues to be one of my favorite features—I genuinely love it. Onboarding, offboarding, time off reporting, centralized employee data... it all runs smoothly and consistently, which matters enormously when you're a department of one supporting a fully remote team.

I also want to double down on something I said before about customer service. Every single interaction I've had has been with someone kind, genuine, and helpful. Even when the issue turned out to be my own user error which, I'll admit, happens more than I'd like. They've never once made me feel like a bother. That consistency says a lot about their culture.
BambooHR remains a breath of fresh air in a sea of complicated HR.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Dislike' still feels like too strong a word. There's nothing about BambooHR that I truly dislike.

A couple of small frustrations remain—the setup process for signature documents and some text fields within the job posting feature could be more intuitive. But these are minor quirks, not deal-breakers, and I've learned to work with them. I'm also confident they'll improve over time given how responsive BambooHR is to feedback.

Since my last review, we did downgrade from the Pro Plan to the Core Plan. We weren't using Employee Community, we moved away from annual performance reviews, and it just didn't make sense to keep paying for features that weren't getting used. Honestly? The downgrade was the right call and BambooHR made it painless.

Core covers everything we actually need, and I'd rather be on a plan where I'm genuinely using what I'm paying for. If anything, I'd still love to see more à la carte flexibility in their pricing structure someday but that's a wish, not a complaint.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an HR department of one, managing a wide range of responsibilities—from applicant tracking and candidate relationship management to Core HR, job description management, onboarding, payroll, performance management, and workforce management—was overwhelming with our previous systems. We relied on multiple spreadsheets and documents, which made everything more time-consuming and prone to errors.

BambooHR has been a game-changer by consolidating all these functions into one easy-to-use platform. It has streamlined our applicant tracking and candidate relationship management, making it easier to manage the hiring process from start to finish. The onboarding process is now more efficient and engaging, allowing new hires to get up to speed quickly, even in a fully remote environment.

Core HR functions, such as managing employee data, payroll, and performance management, are now centralized and accessible, reducing the administrative burden on me and ensuring accuracy across the board. Job description management and workforce management have also become more organized and less stressful.

Overall, BambooHR has solved the problem of disjointed systems and manual processes, freeing up my time to focus on more strategic HR initiatives that drive our organization forward. The benefits are clear: increased efficiency, reduced errors, and a more streamlined HR process that supports our growing, fully remote team.

The holiday/leave request process is simple for both managers and staff, which reduces unnecessary back-and-forth.
