## Slack Reviews
 ### 1. "Slack Keeps Team Communication Fast and Organized"

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sameer R. | Operations - Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack daily to connect with my support team, team leads, quality team and agents. Few things I like most:

- Channels keep communication organized by team and topic, no information gets mixed up
- Sharing audit reports, score sheets and files instantly without switching to mail
- Tag specific people with @ mention for urgent issues, right person gets notified immediately
- Real time messaging makes resolving issues much faster than email
- Huddle feature allows quick voice calls without any extra setup during escalations
- Search helps find old messages, reports or files shared weeks ago in seconds

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

No big dislikes, but notification overload can be a bit distracting during busy hours, better notification management options would be helpful.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack has made communication and coordination with my support team, team leads and quality team much faster and organized. Sharing audit reports, performance scores and real time issues is now instant, no more long email threads, everything is in one place making team communication smoother and more efficient.

 ### 2. Slack Became Part of How We Built Our Team's Inside Language

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mamta N. | CEO and Founder, Outsourcing/Offshoring, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Using Slack day to day feels like juggling really good collaboration with some equally specific annoyances. On the good side, a lot of our team culture has grown around custom emojis, little graphics we've made that basically stand in for running jokes only we understand. When our Huddle calls turn into messy brainstorms, Slack Canvas is what I reach for to pull that mess into something that actually looks like a dashboard afterward. Search modifiers are another one I rely on constantly, things like during:march, has:link, or from:@user help me find decisions from years back in seconds instead of scrolling forever. And with sidebar nesting, I've been able to fold a bunch of unrelated channels into folders so my sidebar doesn't feel like chaos.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Honestly the Huddle join sound gets me every time, that sharp ringing noise the second someone starts a call just breaks whatever focus I had going. There's also this quiet pressure around the green status dot, like people are watching whether you're active, so you end up clicking around just to look present. Threads are another pain point, they branch off into replies on replies until it's genuinely hard to figure out where a decision actually got made.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before, keeping track of decisions and past conversations meant digging through a mess with no real system. Now Canvas and the search modifiers let me turn a scattered brainstorm into something usable and find old context fast instead of hunting endlessly. Because of that, we lose a lot less time just trying to find information and spend more of it actually using what we find.

 ### 3. Slack Streamlines Team Communication with Channels, Integrations, and Fast File Sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush S. | Software developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team communication much easier and keeps everything organized in one place. I like how conversations can be separated into channels, so it's easy to find the right information without searching through long email threads. The integration with other tools, quick file sharing, and reliable notifications help me stay on top of my work. It's simple to use, works well on both desktop and mobile, and has made collaborating with my team much faster and more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I don't like about Slack is that it can become overwhelming when you're part of many channels, as it's easy to miss important messages. The search feature is useful, but finding older conversations isn't always as straightforward as I'd like. Also, the free version has message history limitations, which can be frustrating when trying to look up past discussions. Other than that, it's been a reliable tool for day-to-day communication.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication by bringing messages, file sharing, and team discussions into one place. Instead of switching between emails and different apps, my team can communicate in real time and keep conversations organized by projects or topics. This has helped us respond faster, collaborate more effectively, and reduce the chances of missing important updates. Overall, it has improved our productivity and made remote teamwork much smoother.

 ### 4. Convenient Channel-Based Chat for Quick Team Conversations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan F. | Patient Engagement Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really like how convenient it is to use, especially with the separation of channels. It makes it easy to have quick, instant conversations with my coworkers. I can also upload files and share photos and videos so everyone can see them.

We haven’t integrated it with any other tools at the moment, but it works extremely fast and messages are sent instantly. I also like that it notifies us when a new message is received.

Getting set up was pretty easy at first; all it took was a simple email link and you’re in.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I don’t really like the threads feature. It feels a bit confusing to use, and sometimes I’m left unsure whether someone has answered one of my questions. It’s also a slight pain having to log out every single day at the end of my shift, because otherwise the next person who logs on can see my stuff since it stays logged in.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With two locations, communicating with each other is vital to the success of our practice. This makes it easy for people to answer each other’s questions and share insight right away. Before, we relied on group messaging on our cell phones, and it was a mess.

 ### 5. Slack - A solid hub for team collaboration!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hari K. | AI/ML Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is a mature and a stable platform that provides one of the best area for team collaboration, I have used slack on multiple occasions for client projects that required it as a primary communication tool - and I have felt no problem with using it, In fact it had best features for keeping track of the communication.

The best feature I like about slack is the threaded conversation that help me track the discussion topics and client approvals in a structured manner, even though there are good competitor tools available, those didn't had the threaded communication as primary mode of communication

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

In cases where I have to work with multiple client, I sometime feel overwhelmed with the channel organizing and always conscious not to miss out any message... I'd appreciate if the UI to manage the channels and notification improved a bit

One more thing I want slack to improve is that I have integrated many AI triaging chatbots into slack channels, during testing phase, I will be triggering It multiple time to check the AI response, to my knowledge there isn't a easier way to delete the message that are sent by the AI bot apart from triggering a delete function via code.. but I would rather prefer a dedicated UI for efficiently achieving that intent.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps resolve my problem of managing multiple client in a single workspace - as a developer, it makes my communication tracking and client management easier and centralized that leaves me more time to focus on product delivery!

 ### 6. Keeps Our Nonprofit Team Connected with Helpful Integrations and Automations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle P. | Finance & Admin Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It keeps our team connected and engaged in our mission, and the integrations and automations help us stay on top of tasks. The price is right for nonprofits!

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

For smaller nonprofits or teams with mixed levels of tech comfort, Slack may also require more training and structure than expected. If channels are not organized well, the platform can become messy and harder to manage over time.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is helping solve the problem of scattered internal communication. Instead of relying only on email, texts, meetings, or verbal updates, Slack gives our team one central place for quick questions, updates, announcements, and coordination.

It benefits us by making communication faster and easier to track in the moment. Team members can reach the right people quickly, organize conversations by topic or department, and reduce the amount of back-and-forth email needed for simple updates. It also helps staff stay more connected, especially when people are working in different programs, locations, or schedules.

Slack is especially helpful for time-sensitive coordination, quick team updates, and keeping conversations organized by channel. It does not replace project management or official documentation, but it does make day-to-day communication more efficient and accessible.

 ### 7. Collaboration Hub with Smooth Setup, But Lacks Some Basics in free tier

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M. | Senior Technical Writer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really like using Slack for staying in touch with colleagues and sharing files. As a Senior Technical Writer I need to maintain close ties for documentation reviews across engineering, Product oweners and managers, and support teams. We rely heavily on channels and huddles, and are considering exploring integrations with Jira, Aha and DevOps… It's quite useful for setting up spin-off meetings and huddles, like breakout rooms, after our weekly meetings and stand-ups. It really serves as a collaboration hub within the organization, bridging the gap because many of us work remotely or in a hybrid model, not being in the office together all the time. Slack also offers DMs for one-on-one chats or meetings about work, and it's a great platform for collaboration and working with colleagues. I enjoy the AI agent built into Slack from Slackbot; it's got this really funny animation whenever you hover over it, which always makes me laugh. It's quite useful for scheduling meetings, setting up times when I'm free and when my colleagues are free, which helps with planning out meetings and takes a bit of the load off. I appreciate that it automates mundane tasks, saving us time and leaving more room for important work. I also find the different channels you can set up in Slack to be intuitive and quick to use, making it easy to set up a channel for specific things without cluttering the feeds of other stakeholders. It's a private space for our team, great for sharing photos and documents. Overall, the setup was very easy and straightforward, quite intuitive, despite a slightly different naming convention and layout from what we're familiar with in Teams. It wasn't an issue for us at all. Onboarding was relatively straightforward with an intuitive UI broadly similar to Teams - there are some videos online too. The day to day reliability of the platform has been good and it can be used in browser, which I prefer, or a mobile app too.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think there's a bit of an issue with the licensing model. From what I can see on my account, the standard settings mean that after three months or after ninety days, unless you've got the pro version, you lose, for example, the chat history, and there's just a few limitations that you would expect to just be standard. So competitor tools, like Teams, for example, just include that functionality that you're having to upgrade. It's just a little bit disappointing, but I think this is justified for a business. Once it's adopted, for me, it's worth paying extra maybe for those features, but you'd expect them to just be standard. Really as part of the package. Because without that, it's pretty basic functionality. Notification management can become overwhelming in large organizations like NiCE, and older message history can sometimes be difficult to locate unless channels are well organized. I learned that the hard way, and routinely star important threads. Pricing can easily become expensive when scaled.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to keep everything in one place, offering collaboration opportunities, DMs for one-on-one chats, meetings, and file sharing. You can also drag important chats, files, meetings etc into the starred area to find them more easily in future visits. Slackbot, the AI element saves time scheduling meetings for example. Slack has become the primary communication hub for our teams inside R&D and it has improved collaboration speed and visibility across departments with management, especially progress with sprints and meeting deadlines / customer commitments.

 ### 8. Streamlined Team Communication, but Can Get Noisy Without Good Organization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheryl P. | Virtual Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how much it simplifies day-to-day communication with my team. Rather than sending a bunch of emails back and forth, we can message each other directly or use channels dedicated to specific projects and topics. It’s also really useful for sharing files and links, posting quick updates, and asking simple questions that don’t really need a meeting.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

My main issue with Slack is how quickly it can get noisy. When there are too many channels and notifications, it’s easy to miss important messages or lose track of ongoing conversations. I sometimes end up scrolling through a long stream of updates just to find the one thing I actually need.

The mobile app also isn’t always as straightforward as the desktop version, especially when I’m switching between channels or trying to track down older messages. Overall, Slack is helpful and generally easy to use, but it can become distracting when the workspace isn’t organized well.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like the Huddle feature because it’s really useful when something is easier to explain by talking instead of typing. The integrations with other tools are helpful as well, especially since notifications and updates can come into Slack automatically, which keeps everything in one place.

 ### 9. Easy-to-Use Channels That Keep Project Conversations Organized

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica L. | Head of Marketing & Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

different channels make it easy to organize conversations for those involved in a certain project.

pretty easy to use and navigate

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Hard to DM people, I wish it was easier to search for convos or for a DM. It's not intuitive to click the "..." and then the "start DM" button, I wish there was a short cut to just easily search the person you want to message individually.

Also wish notifications were more customizable, I get sooo many notifications on slack

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-keeping project conversations organized by who is involved instead of having the entire organization in every chat
-we work remote/ async so we utilize slack all the time and its crucial to business operations. We also have a community membership and we use slack as a way for members to get in touch with one another and spark conversations, as well as to deliver member only information which we wouldn't be able to do with something like teams because a lot of our members are not a part of our organization

 ### 10. Slack Keeps Communication Organized, Fast, and Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jyotishman G. | Senior Account Executive, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack has been really helpful for my freelance work because it keeps all project communication in one place. It’s straightforward to use, and I can quickly check updates, reply to messages, and stay aligned on what’s needed without missing important details.

What I like most is how much smoother it makes coordination and how much time it saves. Rather than bouncing between different apps or digging through long message threads, everything stays organized in one spot and is easy to follow.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes Slack’s interface lags on my PC, which is frustrating when I’m trying to move quickly. It can slow down simple things like checking updates or switching between conversations, and that interruption breaks my flow, especially during busy projects.

Overall, Slack still works well for communication, but the occasional lag makes the experience feel less smooth than I’d like.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve the problem of scattered communication by bringing all my freelance project updates, messages, and discussions into one place. It keeps me organized, makes it easier to respond quickly, and lets me track work more smoothly without missing important details.

 ### 11. Clean, Straightforward UI with Helpful Customization and Time-Saving Summaries

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omkar S. | Information Security Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really appreciate how straightforward the app is and how clean the UI looks, and it has performed consistently well for me. The theme customization options are genuinely useful, and the chat summarization feature saves me time by cutting down on how much I need to scroll back and reread earlier messages. Huddles are another great feature, and they’ve been a helpful addition to the overall experience. Integrations are solid as well, including Jira, Calendar, and others.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It automatically switches to quiet mode and pauses notifications for all messages, which really shouldn’t be enabled by default. Also, Huddles should allow remote control of the machine that’s sharing its screen.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes communication easy and reduces the time I spend reading previous messages, thanks to the AI summary. Message Threads are also useful to organize messages as per the topic. Makes past discussions, files, and decisions searchable and transparent for the whole team.

 ### 12. Great for Project Chats and Quick Huddles, But Notifications and Search Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashish Z. | Community Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love how easy it is to organize chat channels by specific projects and teams. It completely stops me from wasting hours searching through endless emails, and the real-time huddles feature makes it incredibly fast to jump on a quick voice call to solve problems instantly with colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The notification system can become incredibly overwhelming and noisy when you belong to multiple active channels, as the non-stop pings make it very difficult to stay focused. Additionally, the built-in search functionality often feels clumsy and inaccurate when you are trying to find specific files or older buried conversations from months ago.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack completely solves the problem of messy, scattered email threads by moving all team communications into organized, real-time channels. This benefits me by streamlining my daily workflow, keeping all project files instantly accessible in one clear place, and making it effortless to collaborate with others without losing track of important updates.

 ### 13. Intuitive Team Chat and Strong Integrations, but macOS App Slows Down and Pricing Adds Up

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisc C. | Software Engineer, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The user interface is very intuitive, and it’s probably the easiest team chat app to use. The integrations with external services are genuinely helpful, and the ecosystem feels mature enough that you can find pretty much everything you need.

Most of the issues I’ve run into are with the macOS native app. It’s quite slow and not very reliable: I often have to restart it, and sometimes thread replies don’t show up at all. Because of that, I mostly stick to the web version, which works much better for me.

Another downside is the pricing. It gets very expensive if you have a big team.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The biggest downside is the pricing. It is good software, but there are cheaper alternatives out there

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack makes it very easy to share chats and knowledge bases with external teams. At the company I work for, we don’t use Slack internally, but for collaborating with clients and service providers it’s instrumental.

 ### 14. Convenient Communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya L. | Human Resources Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really enjoy how convenient Slack is, since it lets me quickly get to the pages I need to communicate with specific people. I especially appreciate the channels feature because I can separate projects by name and easily stay in touch with everyone involved. I also like getting notified when I have a message so I can make sure I follow up promptly. The huddle functionality is also very helpful for holding meetings right from the platform, simply by pressing the headphone button. Then you could invite whoever you want and talk about any conversations that need to be elaborated on or have impromptu meetings. I also really enjoy the catch up button because it allows me to catch up on things that I might have missed very quickly. I also like that I could separate out different workplaces. For example, I have an HR workplace for my HR people and I have a management workplace for all of the managers. It makes it very convenient and then you can even create channels within these workplaces that make it even easier to keep track of separate projects.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes it's hard to find previous information when you're looking for something. It can be hard to sort through all the channels and all the conversations to find what you want. The search function works okay, but I think that it should have enhanced features in order to find specifics like, if you're looking for something that's been mentioned many times in different areas, some way to narrow that down.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack lets me communicate with many people at once using video and different channels. It helps me share and receive information efficiently. I can talk to so many people at one time. Share a file that everybody can see, get feedback and have a conversation so we don't have to have a ton of different emails going back and forth. It's all in one thread.

 ### 15. Clear and Simple Way to Stay in Sync with the Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay J. | Unemployed, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is very easy to use and helps our team stay connected throughout the day. I especially like how conversations are neatly organized into channels, which makes it simple to find updates and keep discussions on track. It also saves us a lot of time compared with getting stuck in long email threads.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes Slack feels overwhelming due to the constant stream of notifications and messages throughout the day. When several channels are active at once, it can also be hard to keep track of important conversations and not miss key updates.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication by bringing team chats, updates, and files together in one place, rather than relying on email threads or random messages. It helps me stay organized, respond more quickly, and follow project discussions easily, so I don’t miss important updates.

 ### 16. The Go-To for Internal Messaging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joaquin R. | TechOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

We wouldn’t use any other tool for internal messaging. As an admin, I’ve found the integrations with the rest of our stack to be solid, pretty much everything we use plugs into it in one way or another. Search is decent as well, especially when you actually need to dig something up. Huddles have also been a nice addition.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The admin side could be a lot better, and the pricing structure is also a bit annoying. The plans feel like they’re designed to push you into the next tier whether you actually need it or not, and the per-user cost adds up quickly.

I tried their AI features a while back and they were pretty rough. I’m not sure if they’ve improved since then, but at the time it didn’t give us any reason to stick with it.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It mainly keeps everyone connected without drowning us in email. Channels help keep conversations in the right place, and people can dip in and out of whatever’s relevant to them. That’s a big deal when you’ve got teams spread across different functions.

 ### 17. Fast, Context-Rich Team Communication That Keeps Projects Moving

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angelique G. | Data Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how it keeps day-to-day work moving without the need for formal check-ins or long email threads. I mainly use it for project-based communication, and having separate channels for different pieces of work makes it much easier to keep the right context in one place.

The biggest benefit for me is how quickly things get resolved. If I’m working on a Power BI report or dealing with a data issue, I can ask a quick question in a channel and get feedback almost immediately, rather than setting up a meeting or waiting on email responses. That alone speeds up turnaround quite a bit.

I also use it often for sharing working files and links, especially Dropbox links to reports or datasets. It’s much easier to drop something into a channel and get input than to send attachments back and forth.

The interface is straightforward and doesn’t take much effort to get used to. It’s easy to jump between conversations, search for past messages, and pick up where I left off, which really helps when I’m managing multiple projects at the same time.

Overall, Slack has improved how quickly I can communicate, share work, and keep projects moving, without adding extra admin overhead.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There aren’t any major issues for me, but a few smaller things tend to come up with regular use.

For one, conversations can get pretty noisy, especially when you’re part of multiple active channels. It’s easy to miss messages or lose track of decisions when things move quickly, particularly across different projects.

Search works most of the time, but tracking down a very specific message or file from a while back can take longer than I’d expect, especially if you don’t remember exactly where it was shared.

Notifications can also feel a bit overwhelming if they aren’t managed well. You have to spend some time setting them up in a way that fits your workflow; otherwise, they can become distracting during focused work.

And while it’s fairly easy to get started, there’s still a bit of a learning curve around using channels effectively and keeping everything organised, especially as teams grow and more people get involved.

Overall, these aren’t major problems—just things you notice more over time when you’re using it across multiple projects.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Slack, most of our communication lived in email or in scattered messages, which made it hard to track decisions - especially when juggling multiple projects. It also slowed everything down, because even simple questions could turn into long back-and-forth threads.

With Slack, most of that communication has shifted into project-based channels, so it’s much easier to keep the full context in one place. I can ask a quick question while working on a report or dataset and get an answer without needing to schedule a call or wait on email replies.

It’s also improved how we share working files and links. Rather than sending attachments around, I usually drop a Dropbox link into the relevant channel, which speeds up collaboration and helps avoid version confusion.

The biggest benefit for me is the time saved. Quick answers, lightweight updates, and conversations that stay tied to specific projects all add up, and the overall workflow feels more efficient.

It’s also reduced the need for unnecessary meetings, which helps me stay focused on actual delivery instead of constant coordination.

 ### 18. Slack Channels Make Payroll Coordination Fast and Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed A. | Senior Payroll Associate , Apparel & Fashion, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is the channel setup. Since I work in payroll, I’m constantly coordinating with different teams, and this makes it way easier. Instead of long email chains, I can just drop a quick message in the channel and get things moving. During payroll days especially, getting instant replies from HR or managers is a lifesaver. Sharing files and clearing up doubts in threads also keeps things simple and avoids confusion.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Honestly, there isn’t much I actively dislike. If I had to nitpick, I’ve noticed the notifications can be a little inconsistent at times. Even after tweaking the settings, I still occasionally miss alerts, or they don’t appear the way they should. It’s not a major issue overall, but on busy payroll days it can definitely get a bit frustrating.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like I mentioned earlier, channels make a big difference. I don’t have to send long emails anymore; a quick message in the right channel usually gets things done faster. It really helps speed up communication, especially during payroll work.

Another big benefit is being able to use different channels for different teams and updates. We have separate channels for India teams, US teams, HR updates, and even global announcements. Because of that, I can stay updated on what’s happening across the organization without having to dig around or search for information. Overall, it makes everything feel more transparent and easier to follow.

 ### 19. Enhances Team Communication Across Time Zones

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren M. | Marketing and Communications Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack to connect with coworkers across Canada instantly and in a more casual way than email. It's a great way to not add stress to someone's inbox, making conversations casual like chatting in the office, and it shows if someone is offline or their time zone. I like how it has different tags and groups, and I can directly DM someone. The tags allow me to have organized conversations and include who is needed properly. I love being able to directly DM someone, especially since I don't have everyone's contact information. The catch-up feature is a great way to remind you that you missed something in a conversation and it allows you to manage what is outstanding rather than wasting time searching through conversations. I also like that it allows you to share files/photos and respond directly to certain messages. Additionally, the initial setup of Slack was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I would like to be able to send photos or videos over Slack and not have them compress but otherwise it's great

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to connect instantly with coworkers across different time zones in a casual way. Organizing conversations with tags, DMing without needing contact info, and catching up on missed conversations saves me time and stress.

 ### 20. Empowers Developers with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** BISHAL SARKAR B. | Development Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I appreciate using Slack to manage my end-to-end delivery pipelines without constantly switching between apps. It brings alerts, code reviews, and project tickets into one place, which keeps discussions public, searchable, and organized. I also like being able to approve a pull request or notice a build failure without leaving the chat window, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day.

Commands like /deploy and /status can trigger backend actions instantly, making routine tasks easier. In my development environment, /deploy helps connect to continuous deployment tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD, while /status works as an on-demand check for infrastructure monitoring tools like Datadog, New Relic, or AWS CloudWatch.

The initial Slack setup felt highly automated and straightforward for basic data, and the native migration dashboards made it easy to ingest Microsoft Databases directly. Slack also offers different pricing tiers that fit different team sizes and needs. The AI features in Slack, like Channel Recaps and Smart Search, make it easier to get back up to speed after being away for a while. Overall, I’m likely to recommend Slack, and I’d rate it an 8 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There is a thread and notification chaos caused by conversations easily breaking into multiple side-threads, making it difficult to trace a single technical decision. There is a UI bloating which brings down performance, such as the desktop app which takes up too much memory, slowing down the system when multiple workspaces are open simultaneously.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to manage delivery pipelines without switching apps, getting alerts, code reviews, and project tickets in one place. It keeps discussions organized and provides instant notifications to review code and fix bugs. Commands like /deploy and /status streamline integrations with tools like Jenkins and AWS CloudWatch.

 ### 21. Effective Team Communication with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javed A. | Computer Operator, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for better communication and to talk with team members. It's easy for me to communicate and keep the team updated about the tasks. I enjoy it because I can create different projects under one workspace and separate the teams according to the project needs. For someone who has more projects and more team members, it helps me manage all the people in one place. I also do hiring on Upwork, and Slack helps me onboard them and allow them to connect with people. It makes it easy for me to manage the project as well as the team. Slack helps to keep the communication flow right, so the projects cannot be delayed. The initial setup was pretty well, just email and signup, and join the workspace.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack settings is nothing I like. It is pretty complicated. Sometimes I have to spend more time than necessary for little things. Slack has a lot of complex settings sections which are not good for me.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for better communication, keeping my team in one place, and assigning tasks directly. It helps manage projects and team members, facilitating onboarding and connecting freelancers for smooth communication, preventing project delays.

 ### 22. Easy-to-Use Integrations and Project Organization, But Heavy on RAM

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad Saqlain N. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The best thing about Slack is how easy it is to use. It has a user-friendly UI, makes it simple to keep different projects separated, and, best of all, its integrations are available with almost every other platform.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

They use a lot of system ram with slows down the performance of the device and also results in battery drain and sometimes the app itself takes time to launch

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It connects with other platforms easily has a very good integration system, as a software developer I can connect to GitHub and other tools and also helps in client consolidation to keep different clients separate, also their workflow automation with tools like Google Drive helps a lot

 ### 23. Seamless team communication and integration solutions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is its channel-based communication and third-party integrations. It keeps team conversations organized and helps manage various tools from one place. Dedicated channels can be created for different projects, teams, and topics. Messages, files, and discussions can be easily searched. It offers excellent integration with tools like Jira, GitHub, Google Drive, and others. Real-time communication makes collaboration fast and effective. Threaded conversations help keep discussions organized. For me, the most valuable feature is its channel-based organization. This keeps project-related discussions, bug reports, releases, and team updates organized in separate channels, making it easy to find important information. The biggest advantage is that communication among team members remains fast, transparent, and organized, which improves both collaboration and productivity.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

So according to me, Slack has its advantages, but there are some disadvantages as well, such as when the number of channels and users increases, notifications become quite overwhelming and unwanted notifications come in. Important messages sometimes get lost in fast-moving conversations. Also, in the free and lower-tier plans, there is a limitation on message history, which is only thirty days, so it would be better if that were a bit longer. I would like to see improvements in notification management and intelligent prioritization in the future so that important conversations and alerts can be easily identified. In my experience, the biggest challenge is information overload; Slack creates a lot of pages for communication, but if channels and notifications are not managed properly, it becomes easy for users to miss important updates.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solve the problem of fragmented communication using Slack, ensuring that updates and contacts are not missed. It makes team communication faster and organized, and with project-specific channels, real-time collaboration on all discussions becomes easier.

 ### 24. Transforming the Way Teams Collaborate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yuvashree M. | Senior Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is one of the most helpful tools because it makes team communication fast, organized, and easy to follow.

Instead of relying on long email threads, Slack enables quick, real-time conversations and group discussions in channels. This makes it easier to pass along updates, share files, and keep everyone aligned. One of Slack’s biggest advantages is that it improves collaboration across teams and time zones, so communication doesn’t get lost or delayed.

It’s also very flexible, supporting file sharing, screen links, reminders, and notifications. Most importantly, it integrates with many tools like JIRA, github, and google drive, which helps keep work connected in one place.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There are search limitations, and it’s hard to find older messages because the history is limited.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It centralises team communications—all team communication and updates in one place—reducing the need to switch between multiple tools. It also replaces lengthy email chains: quick messages help keep communication fast and organised, saving time and cutting down on back-and-forth emails.

 ### 25. Efficient Team Communication Tool with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mamta p. | Salesforce developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack daily for team communication, and I love how most of our discussions happen in channels, making it easy to keep track of updates without getting lost like in emails. I appreciate how fast and simple it is to send files or screenshots during work, and the search feature is really helpful for finding old messages or links. Slack has made collaboration much easier and faster, especially when working with a team remotely or on multiple tasks. Its channel-based structure helps keep conversations focused, allowing me to follow discussions without confusion. The quick messaging feature compared to emails helps me get instant responses and solve issues quickly. Overall, Slack makes daily work smoother and more efficient, and when used together with other tools, it streamlines my workflow by keeping everything in one place.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing that doesn’t always work well for me in Slack is the number of notifications. When you’re part of multiple channels, it can get a bit overwhelming and sometimes distracting during focused work. Also, important messages can sometimes get lost in busy channels if there are too many conversations happening at once. While the search feature helps, it still takes time to find specific information. Another area that could be improved is call quality at times, as it can occasionally lag or disconnect compared to dedicated meeting tools.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack makes communication faster and organized, reducing email clutter. It helps in quick problem-solving by messaging the team directly. Channels keep updates easy to find without confusion, enhancing my productivity and ensuring clear communication.

 ### 26. Great for Organized Team Chats, but the Always-On Pace Can Be Draining

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole A. | Sr. Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that it keeps work conversations organized. You also have the option to DM, or split your messages into channels. It is great for communicating with co-workers, especially for quick questions that don't warrant an email.

I

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I dislike that it can make work feel nonstop. Because messages come in so quickly, it can create pressure to reply right away, even when something is not urgent. That can be distracting and tiring. When I am away from work, I have learned to pause my notifications, which is a nice Slack feature.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication, making it easy to find everything in one place. This saves me time and makes things less stressful as I don't have to hunt down specific email threads, etc. It also helps my team stay better aligned.

 ### 27. Streamlined Communication, Minor Notification Overload

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gimhani P. | Project Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really appreciate how Slack centralizes communication and enhances task visibility, which is super helpful for our projects. The integration with work tools is seamless, allowing our team to be more connected and work efficiently. The automatic notifications are great because they help us receive alerts when tasks are assigned, and the system is excellent for reminding teams about deadlines. Slack's automation features that keep information flowing automatically are fantastic, reducing the need for manual coordination. It acts as a communication hub, providing faster communication sharing, great transparency, improved collaboration, and strong cross-functional coordination. We can spend less time copying information between systems and updating colleagues, which has a huge impact on the team's connectivity. Also, setting up Slack was really easy. With these features, decisions become easier to make and are well-documented and searchable. It's a lifesaver in reducing confusion and miscommunication among various teams when something changes.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The notification fatigue is there. If an employee is working on a complex task, they may receive dozens of notifications throughout the day. So it may reduce productivity. Those are my concerns.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack reduces email volume, centralizes communication, enhances task visibility, and integrates with work tools. It boosts team connectivity and collaboration, automates information flow, reduces manual coordination, and helps us stay informed.

 ### 28. Easy Communication, Needs Better Video Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gareth L. | Deputy Head of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I find Slack so easy to use, which makes communication smooth with colleagues and suppliers. The friendly, fun, and cool branding is a significant plus for me, unlike the more corporate feel of MS Teams. I appreciate the instant chat feature, which is essential for quick communication. The Slack apps for internal tooling are valuable, and I use Canvas for notes and lists. The ability to integrate our platform with Slack and push messages into channels and direct messages adds to its utility.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I find the video quality in Huddles not as good as Google Meet. It's frustrating that Huddles can't be recorded or transcribed on our plan. Also, I can't remote control screens like I can with Zoom.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for instant chat, huddles, and internal tooling with colleagues and suppliers. It's easy to use with friendly, fun branding, unlike corporate MS Teams. I value Slack apps for internal tooling and Canvas for notes and lists.

 ### 29. Effortless Team Communication and Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maheen T. | Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for communication within the organization, and it really solves my communication issues within the team by allowing me to create channels and groups for different projects, enabling me to track things on my own. I like its user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to use. I also enjoy integrating Slack with other software like Geekbot, which helps in many ways, such as asking every team member for daily updates. The integration capabilities and UX were key factors in switching from Microsoft Teams to Slack. Setting it up was super easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The search in Slack needs us to remember exact keywords, which can be improved as AI evolves.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves my communication issues within the team as I create channels and groups for different projects, and I'm able to track things on my own.

 ### 30. Great for keeping teams connected and organized

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parvathy S. | Associate Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It keeps communication organized without slowing things down. It also integrates seamlessly with other tools, so everything from file sharing to project updates can live in one place. The search function is surprisingly powerful too, which saves a lot of time when I’m trying to track down past messages or decisions.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It can feel overwhelming when there are too many channels, notifications, and constant messages all competing for attention. It also blurs the line between focused work time and being constantly available, especially in fast-moving teams.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of scattered communication by bringing messaging, collaboration, and tool integrations into one platform. That means faster teamwork, better visibility into projects, and less time spent searching for information or waiting on responses.

 ### 31. Great for Organized Chats and Reminders, but Holiday Scheduling and Cost Hold It Back

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | Owner, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Channels for specific topics make it easier to keep conversations organised. Direct messages are useful for quick, one-to-one communication. I also like having scripts so we can set daily reminders to report progress.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The daily reminder script I set up doesn’t account for public holidays, so we still get reminders even when the office is closed. It’s also expensive, so we’ve switched to the free version, but we have to live with the limitation that we can’t view more than 90 days of history.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instant communication with team members is especially helpful for me in my management role. Staff can message me, and I can respond as soon as I’m able. It’s also valuable for remote staff, since it lets them communicate quickly and easily with the rest of the team.

 ### 32. Easy Integrations and Straightforward Communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrik B. | Programer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It’s easy to connect with other tools, and it provides a nice, straightforward way to communicate.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The subscription is unclear, and I don’t really understand how it works. With some workplaces I can connect right away, but with others it seems like I need a subscription. Overall, it’s not fully clear to me how this is supposed to work.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working from home is much easier, and communicating with co-workers is also much easier. Everything just works the way I need it to.

 ### 33. Streamlines Remote Team Collaboration with Organized Channels and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aisha S. | Associate Team lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

it helps organize and manage a remote team. It keeps conversations structured with channels, makes collaboration faster through real-time messaging, and reduces the need for long email threads. I also appreciate its integrations with other tools, file sharing, and searchable message history

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

notifications can become overwhelming at times

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

keeps project discussions organized with channels, and makes it easy to quickly reach teammates regardless of their location, ped up decision-making, increased transparency, and helped everyone stay aligned on tasks and project updates.

 ### 34. Flexible Team Communication, but Switching Between Multiple Accounts Is Slow

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Márcio F. | Postdoctoral Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is very handy because I can instantly communicate with colleagues across different working groups. I also like that I can use it on my PC, as well as through the app and the web app. This makes it a flexible tool that keeps me in constant contact with the different teams I work with.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The only thing I dislike about Slack is how complicated it gets when you have more than one account. For example, I have a personal Slack account and another, more professional one linked to my company email. Switching between the two accounts is terribly slow.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It improves my ability to maintain instant communication with several members across the different teams I work with. This, in turn, helps me manage the multiple projects I’m currently involved in more effectively.

 ### 35. Fast, Easy Communication That Keeps Our Remote Team in Sync

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandre P. | Product Manager — Squad Interactions, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It's fast and easy to use. Communication flows smoothly, channels help keep conversations well-organized, and integrations with other tools save a lot of time. As my team is partly remote it helps us a lot in our day to day work. Automation is also a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes, there are too many channels and too many discussions so I can be defocused from my work.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps me stay connected with many people across different teams, especially in a hybrid work environment. It keeps communication organized and accessible, which makes collaboration much smoother and faster than relying on emails alone. It also makes it easier to coordinate projects, share updates quickly, and stay aligned even when everyone is working from different locations.

 ### 36. Reliable Daily Team Communication, Less Flexible at Scale

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ismāīl L. | Energy Engineer & Financial Data Analyst | AI & Automation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use it every day for my own company, and honestly it just works. Channels keep conversations organized, notifications are reliable, and the search actually finds old messages when I need them. It has become the default place where the team communicates.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The way channels and spaces get structured for a growing company is not very flexible. Once you have a certain number of channels for different teams and topics, reorganizing them or setting up something closer to dedicated rooms per department takes more manual effort than it should.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping the whole team in sync without relying on email. Everything from quick questions to file sharing to ongoing project discussions happens in one place, which saves a lot of time compared to scattered threads across different tools.

 ### 37. Slack’s Integrations and Slack Connect Make Collaboration Seamless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fatih Y. | Search Engine Evaluator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is its impressive ecosystem of integrations. It really feels like a true “single workspace” because it connects the tools I rely on every day, from Google Drive. Being able to manage tasks and get real-time updates without leaving the app cuts down on context switching in a meaningful way. On top of that, Slack Connect has been a game-changer, letting us collaborate securely with external partners and vendors as smoothly as if they were part of our internal team.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The biggest challenge I’ve had with Slack is keeping up with the constant stream of notifications. In a fast-paced team, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by “notification fatigue,” where important updates end up buried under casual chatter. Threads do help, but the search functionality—even with recent AI improvements—can still struggle to surface specific historical decisions in very active channels. As a result, it takes a lot of manual effort and strict “channel hygiene” to keep the workspace organized and prevent it from becoming chaotic.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack effectively solves the problem of information silos. In my previous workflow, important project decisions were often buried in long email threads or scattered across multiple apps. Slack brings those conversations together in organized channels, creating a clear “single source of truth.” For me, that means I can instantly access the context I need without digging through old messages. With the new Slack AI search, I can ask natural-language questions and quickly get verified answers pulled from past conversations and connected documents (like Google Drive), which has dramatically reduced the time I spend searching for information.

 ### 38. Faster Team Collaboration, But Notifications and Free History Limits Can Overwhelm

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RAJEEV K. | Freelance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team communication much easier and faster than relying on email. I especially like how conversations are organized into channels, which helps keep different topics separate and easy to follow. The search feature is also really useful when I need to track down older messages or locate shared files. Overall, it keeps work discussions in one place and makes collaboration smoother.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes Slack sends too many notifications, especially when I’m part of a lot of channels. During busy hours, it can start to feel pretty overwhelming and distracting. On top of that, the free version limits message history, which makes it harder to look back and access older conversations when I need them.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps cut down on long email threads and makes team communication feel more organized and structured. Rather than switching between several different apps, our conversations, updates, and file sharing all happen in one place. That saves time and makes it easier for the team to stay aligned on tasks, responsibilities, and ongoing project updates.

 ### 39. Real-Time Collaboration and Smooth Integrations That Keep Teams Moving

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anurudh T. | Trainee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Channel-based organization and real-time collaboration are a big advantage, because they let us respond immediately to issues, comments, discussions, or deployments. Finding old discussions, files, or shared links is also much easier than with traditional working tools. Tools like Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins connect directly into the workflow, which makes day-to-day coordination smoother. Ai intelligence make automation flow easily for the api's and etc.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Too many notifications can be distracting and overwhelming, particularly on busy channels. Important messages can also be lost under the noise of a busy conversation Managing threads can be a little confusing as well when conversations get large or fork into multiple responses.
Another disadvantage is that the desktop app can use a lot of RAM . The free tier is also restricted in terms of how much of the message history can be accessed and on advanced features, unless teams pay.
Since communication is ongoing and in real time, Slack can break immersion in work that requires deep concentration, reducing productivity. Another area that could use some improvement is file management, as it’s not always easy to track down older shared documents or uploads.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

workplace communication by bringing messaging, collaboration, file sharing, and tool usage into a single platform. Instead of wading through endless email chains or constantly switching between different applications, teams can communicate and get work done in one place.

It also reduces coordination delays by enabling real-time communication through channels, direct messages, and instant notifications. Integrations with Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins, among others, help teams stay up to date, track tasks, and monitor deployments without needing to leave Slack.

The result is stronger collaboration, faster decision-making, and clearer visibility across initiatives. For development and training teams in particular, Slack keeps conversations organized, simplifies coordination, and speeds up problem-solving—especially in remote or fast-paced environments.

 ### 40. Organized Team Communication and Smooth Integrations That Streamline Workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie S. | Sales Development Representative, Business Supplies and Equipment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how it keeps all team communication organized in one place through channels, making collaboration much easier. It also integrates smoothly with many tools, which helps streamline workflows. Overall, it reduces email clutter and makes quick communication with teams very efficient.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is that too many notifications and channels can sometimes feel overwhelming. It can also be easy to miss important messages when conversations move quickly. Additionally, the search and message history can be limited depending on the plan. Also there is no option to change the Email on an existing profile. Very Sad

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication by bringing team messages, files, and updates into one organized platform. This makes it easier to collaborate quickly, stay aligned with the team, and reduce the need for long email threads. As a result, it saves time and helps work move faster and more efficiently.

 ### 41. Effortless Team Communication, Needs Better File Handling

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu N. | Social media manager, Consumer Goods, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that Slack makes it unnecessary for me to share my personal WhatsApp number with colleagues. I also appreciate the cloud storage, as it means I can access even files from five years ago easily. It makes everything much more conveniently located in one place rather than spread across various apps and devices. This feature makes it easy to quickly access old files, share large media, and keep working without the hassle of managing local storage or manual file transfers. The initial setup was quite easy too, just needing to set up an organization, create channels, and invite people.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

If I have got multiple files from someone, I have to download each one separately. It has a download all button, but that never works. It should work properly. If a person sent me 5 videos, I want them to be downloaded together at the click of a button.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for work interactions and sharing content, avoiding sharing my personal number. It keeps everything in one place with cloud storage, making it easy to access old files and share large media without worrying about storage.

 ### 42. Streamlines Communication, Impressive Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anant k. | Java Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love how Slack removes friction from collaboration. Conversations organized by channel help keep context, allowing me to jump into a project thread and instantly grasp where things stand. Slack is a breeze for file and document sharing, making it easy to bring the right information forward at the right time. The platform's integrations are fantastic, connecting seamlessly with tools like Asana, Jira, and Google Drive, making it a centralized hub for all project activities. Notifications keep me updated without being overwhelming, and the search functionality is strong, so I can easily find decisions, files, and conversations. Setting up Slack is super easy; creating a workspace takes just minutes without needing an IT department or complex configuration. It's genuinely one of the easiest SaaS tools to launch.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Notification Overload. When you're in many channels, notifications can become relentless. Finding the right balance between staying informed and being constantly interrupted takes real effort to configure — and even then it's imperfect. Slack's notification system is powerful but blunt. As teams grow and channels multiply, users often find themselves in a constant state of interruption. The challenge isn't just volume — it's relevance. Not every message tagged in a busy channel deserves the same urgency, yet Slack treats them similarly by default.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack streamlines project management and team collaboration, eliminating email clutter and enhancing workflow with integrations. It organizes conversations by channel for clarity and allows instant communication with minimal scheduling. However, managing notifications requires effort to avoid constant interruptions.

 ### 43. Great for Collaboration With Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himani J. | Internship , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really appreciate how Slack allows the team and even people outside of the team to reach out to me anytime and vice versa. The 'Slack Channel' feature is particularly useful as it helps cut down the time on long email threads and speeds up task execution. The instant summary option has been a lifesaver for me, and I find Slack's layout to be user-friendly, which makes the setup easier despite some nuances and subtleties.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack doesn't support large-scale webinars, which is a problem for a large organization like mine. The sheer number of notifications causes the notification bar to become cluttered. The video quality during seminars and webinars is not up to the mark. Slack deletes data older than a year, which is sometimes significant for review purposes. Increasing the number of members allowed per meeting would be beneficial, and reducing the notification frequency would help as even a 'thank you' can trigger too many alerts. Although the layout is user-friendly, understanding the nuances and subtleties can be problematic for some.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack allows our team and even people outside the team to reach out anytime, facilitating better communication and faster execution of tasks with its 'Slack Channel' feature.

 ### 44. Efficient Communication, Seamless Tool Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alok p. | Software Developer Internship, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for work, mainly to communicate with my teammates. I find the UI very clean and easy to navigate, which helps me communicate faster. I love how easy it is to configure Slack bots, which we use for notifications like server errors and merging development changes to production. I also appreciate Slack's huddle feature for quick meetings. The channels feature helps in separating conversations by projects or teams, reducing clutter. I find it great that Slack bots automate routine tasks like reminders, deployment updates, and status alerts, which cuts down on manual work. Integrating many tools like Loom and Zight into Slack is straightforward. Lastly, the initial setup was simple and user-friendly, with a quick guide that was very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I wish they could add a record option in Huddle so we can review meetings and share them with teammates who weren't present. Also, I'm using Slack on Ubuntu, and every time I start my system and open Slack, it prompts me to sign up via the browser. Sometimes the default Slack bots bother me, like when I share a Drive link, and it alerts me a few minutes later that I haven't integrated the service in Slack.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for faster communication with my teammates. Channels reduce clutter by separating projects, while bots automate tasks like notifications and deployment updates, cutting down on manual work.

 ### 45. User-Friendly, Effective Communication Tool with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heartfelt T. | Senior Catalog Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that Slack is very user friendly and easy to use. The emoji selection is really very nice, allowing me to quickly communicate emotions or reactions without always having to type everything out. There's a wide option of emojis which is great because not everything needs to be communicated through text; sometimes an emoji can convey what I mean just as effectively. I also appreciate the multiple thread functions, which help in managing conversations easily. This feature is especially useful when there are multiple people discussing various issues, as it allows us to reply on specific threads without losing track of the conversation.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think, yeah, the prompting thing, actually. So whenever we sometimes, you know, type a lot of paragraphs and sentences, I want to prompt about the incorrect spellings and stuff and what could be the correct spelling. I think that is the part that is missing right now. But, yes, that is a scope of improvement in Slack.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to communicate with my team, create groups for large audiences, initiate quick conference calls, and summarize details with AI bot features.

 ### 46. Seamless Communication but Needs Better Free-plan Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ritam D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for projects and team communications, and it keeps everything organized much more efficiently than email for day-to-day activities. The channel system is what I like the most; being able to create separate channels for different subjects and projects keeps everything neatly organized. I don't have to scroll through giant chats to find what I need. I have separate channels for each subject, general group chats, and even a private one for saving links and resources. Setting up Slack was pretty straightforward, and the onboarding flow did a decent job of walking me through the basics. Slack has genuinely transformed how I collaborate with classmates.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The 90 days message history and free plan limitation means my older conversations and files disappear. It would be useful to revisit old conversations and connect it seamlessly. This limit on the free plan is honestly the biggest highlight. Reference with old notes is missing; whether it is a study resource or professor advice shared in group, it disappears after 90 days. There's no way to recover without upgrading the current plan.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack organizes project communications, eliminating chaos from email and WhatsApp. The channel system keeps my subjects and projects separate, saving me from scrolling through endless chats. It's more organized, centralizing files, deadlines, and conversations in one spot.

 ### 47. Slack keeps our team communication fast, organized, and efficient.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad O. | Salesforce Business Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how it centralizes team communication and keeps everything organized in one place. Channels and threads make conversations easy to follow, and the powerful search function means past discussions and shared files are always easy to find. Its seamless integrations with tools like Jira, Zoom, and GitHub also make Slack feel like a true collaboration hub, helping our team respond more quickly and stay aligned. Overall, it cuts down on email clutter and boosts productivity across projects.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when message volume is high and notifications are frequent in active channels. In busy conversations, it can also be difficult to quickly find key information, and the free plan’s message history limits may restrict access to older messages when you need to look back.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses fragmented communication by bringing team conversations, files, and tools together in one centralized platform. This cuts down on reliance on email and scattered chats, making collaboration faster, clearer, and more transparent. As a result, our team stays aligned, decisions get made more quickly, and important information is easier to find, which ultimately improves overall productivity.

 ### 48. Great for Multi-Channel Collaboration, but Switching from Teams Takes Adjusting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert P. | Assistant Coordinator-Eagle Scholars Program, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The most helpful feature for me is being able to create multiple channels with the colleagues I need. It makes it much easier to manage workflows and coordinate work across different areas, so everything feels more efficient and collaborative.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Switching to this from other platforms like Teams can feel pretty disorienting at first. On top of that, the notifications can be overwhelming or distracting, especially when they come through during deep work sessions or while I’m in meetings.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps me stay organized and handle prioritization issues when they come up. I can create to-do lists, share them when needed, and quickly reach anyone on my team, whether I’m at my computer or using my phone. Overall, Slack works very well for me.

 ### 49. Easy Team Communication with Channels, Private Chats, Huddles, and Screen Sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is a much easier way to keep in communication with your team members. I enjoy that there is the option for private and group chats as well as channels. The platform makes it easy to send out mass messages to the entire team as well as personal or smaller group chats to stay connected through the day. I love that Slack has the ability to huddle other members as well as to be able to screen share to help explain processes.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

What I dislike about Slack is that messages are removed after 90 days, which makes it difficult when I’m trying to look back and remember something that was sent before that cutoff. Another downside is that you can’t huddle as a group; only 1:1 calls work.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack has made quick communication much easier for our teams. Before, we often relied on sending emails and then waiting for a response. With this platform, we can reach each other faster and keep conversations moving without the usual delays.

 ### 50. From Fragmented Chats to a Centralized Hub: How Slack Streamlined Our Logistics Coordination

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caleb V. | HR Manager, Logistics and Supply Chain, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

As the HR Manager at Axiom Logistics Solutions, my primary focus is on our people and the efficiency of our internal operations. Our company operates in a fast-paced environment where clear, instant communication isn't just a nice-to-have; it’s essential for getting products where they need to be on time. For a long time, our teams were relying on a messy combination of long email threads and basic SMS text chains, which led to information getting lost and critical updates being missed. Implementing Slack was a strategic move to bring some much-needed order to that chaos.
What I Liked most about Slack is its ability to create a single source of truth for different types of communication. We’ve set up dedicated channels for each of our warehouse locations, which has been a game-changer. Instead of emailing back and forth, a warehouse manager can post an immediate update about a shipment delay in the specific channel, and the relevant sales and logistics coordinators see it instantly. The search functionality is also incredibly robust; being able to quickly find a message about a specific invoice from weeks ago saves us hours of frustration. It’s intuitive enough that our team, which includes a mix of desk-based and field personnel, picked it up with very little training.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

However, it hasn't been without its challenges. What I Disliked, or rather, what has been difficult to manage, is the potential for it to become overwhelming.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At Axiom, the core problem we faced was a lack of visibility across our logistics chain. Information was trapped in individual inboxes. Slack is solving this by providing a transparent platform where everyone who needs to know can see what’s happening in real-time. This transparency is directly benefiting our entire operation. For example, when our HR team posts new safety protocols in the #company-announcements channel, we can see who has read it. When the ops team has a sudden driver shortage, they can post in a channel and get immediate feedback on availability. It’s breaking down silos between departments and ensuring that our logistics solutions are communicated quickly and accurately, ultimately making our entire workflow more cohesive and responsive.
