And by the side effect of being part of that group, the licensing costs and contract renewal mechanics have turned in the direction of how Mule's parent company does business. In other words, expect to pay a premium price for an ESB that, if you think deeply about it, is just another ESB in the market with little added value vs alternatives in the market, unless you start drinking the "Kool-aid" of Salesforce pricing strategy applied to the Mulesoft products. Our integration architecture roadmap was based on Mulesoft products beyond just AnyPoint but when the M&A with Salesforce happened, we had to rethink everything as we already knew how Salesforce licensing model is. The feature which I like a lot about the anypoint platform is Monitoring. We can monitor all our API after enabling it where we can monitor inbound and outbound requests. So it doesn't allow multiple users to edit the same API spec at the same time which is sometimes a little disturbing and time-consuming. Mule ESB uses RAML as an API descriptor which is less complex and easy to understand. Also, there a lot of technical details that they need to learn for which having a background in Java helps. Non Java people are at a loss. The development setup is quite CPU and RAM-intensive. The exchange allows to share the API Design very easily, alow mocking services also. It has a wide variety of connectors to integrate most systems out of the box. Wide variety of runtime options including cloud and on-premise are available as per requirements. Mulesoft Support is pretty good too. **What do you dislike about MuleSoft Anypoint Platform?** Experienced some issues with the latest monthly runtime releases sometimes which they usually fix in coming releases. But these releases can be more thoroughly tested.
