I love the transcript quality, I love the summaries, I love the layout in the recording summaries. I've used other recording tools and this blows them all away. Their AI search tool has gotten significantly better in recent months, but still could use some improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Please please please change whatever organization or navigation "improvements" were made recently. It has made the product significantly worse and made it so difficult to find anything. Additionally it keeps making it so much more difficult to share recordings internally. I spent almost 2 hours trying to share all my meetings from a certain client with my boss. As someone focused on enablement and learning design, Grain saves me hours every week. The auto-transcription means I stop taking notes in client calls and actually listen. I use clips and stories to share real customer moments with my team - turning conversations into coaching content without any extra editing. The organization of recordings gets messy at scale, there's no easy way to structure content by project or client without manual tagging.

I am not able to think of any downside so far. It's a genuinely good product. For a business model like ours, which requires us to record meetings end-to-end as well as have a very clear transcript that we can refer back to, it does the job. I haven't seen any issues so far, apart from just one thing.

- It does not really integrate well with Slack in the way where selective meetings need to be shared with selective people.

The best part about Grain is that we can track the ability of a specific note from a meeting. Another thing I found useful is that the conversation is translated, and it is very user-friendly in my opinion. The only downside is that this happens rarely. If the conversation is in a different language than English (let's say Hindi), the accuracy of the conversation reduces by a certain percentage. I only see that as a downside that can be better in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For the value it delivers, the pricing is very reasonable — it's essentially replaced the need for a dedicated note-taker on our team. The search functionality within recordings could be a bit more refined — sometimes finding a specific moment across multiple meetings takes a few extra clicks. I love so many things about Grain! 1 - The layout of transcript and video make it really easy to jump around and find what you need. 2 - The interactive transcript that automatically pulls the video to the point in the transcript; because sometimes you need to revisit the actual conversation and not just the words. 3 - The clips feature, which we use for impromptu social media clips; being able to clip directly from the transcript is amazing. 4 - The new integration with Claude is fabulous and has made things much easier for pulling in files, updating meeting notes, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can store all of our research videos into specific playlists and that I can access them with the transcriptions quickly. I can search words within the transcription and then can highlight specific sections to make smaller video snippets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Like most tools when Grain is recording it takes up a space in our Google Meet which can take up the screen space for the interview at times. Luckily this does not show up in the recording, but is more of an annoyance at the time of the recording. It would be nice if Grain notified that it was recording and then could minimize so it's not seen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Grain is a fantastic platform that I have been looking for throughout my career in Sales. Being able to have a second digital brain that captures all the information from my calls and distill that information down to details to drive business forward - has been a game changer.
