Jira Cloud Bot review
Easy to create and assign issues right in the chat without opening Jira separately. Saves time big time.
I can see updates in real-time. No more checking Jira every hour to keep up with progress.
Very convenient for quick lookups. Just put in an issue number, and bam, details pop up.

Super customizable notifications. I only get notified about what I care about, so it doesn't get too annoying.
Works smoothly with Slack (what I use) and fits right into our team's daily workflow.
Small, handy commands make managing tasks on the go easy. I like not having to switch tools all the time.

**What do you dislike about Jira Cloud Bot?**

Setup can be a pain, especially when permissions get tricky. Not the most user-friendly setup process.
Overwhelming if notifications aren’t customized—too many pings at once can get annoying.
Some advanced Jira features don’t work here. You still gotta use the main Jira platform for more complex stuff.
The bot doesn’t handle all Jira functions, so it’s limited for big project needs.

**What do you like best about Jira Cloud Bot?**

Being able to see previews for Jira issues is very helpful, because when sending messages about multiple Jira tickets, the preview provides key information so I don't have to type it out. Also, the ability to create a Jira issue directly from Slack is super convenient so that I can add something directly when it's top of mind, instead of jotting it down for later.

**What do you dislike about Jira Cloud Bot?**

I wish that Jira Cloud Bot auto-updated the Jira issue previews. When I go back to an old message that included a Jira ticket preview, it still shows the old status and assignee. It would be great if this auto-updated when you re-opened/re-loaded the message - to avoid confusion.

**What problems is Jira Cloud Bot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira Cloud Bot greatly improves productivity and visibility by easily integrating basic Jira functionality with Slack. It saves time by creating issues directly in Slack, and improves the UI/aesthetic by showing message previews, instead of the user simply listing out that info along with the link.

What I like best about Jira Cloud Bot is that it allows me to keep up with the work that needs to be done while in a video conference or meeting, I don't need to check other tool or site.

What I dislike about Jira Cloud Bot is that sometimes it lags a little and you need to wait like 1 minute to receive a Jira Software Issue or request, it needs to update faster.

Jira Cloud Bot allows me to interact with my issues and task directly from Microsoft Teams so keeping them updated is a far more simple and fast task. It also helps in meetings and video conferences by allowing to "show" a specific jira issue to everyone as you would share your screen.

**What do you like best about Jira Cloud Bot?**

I use the jira cloud bot to integrate my Jira boards and stories on Excel. It makes syncing and using Jira data in excel simple. I love the ease of use and the ability to constantly change what data I am using.

**What do you dislike about Jira Cloud Bot?**

Jira Cloud Bot does have some flaws. I would prefer if I could regularly schedule updates, lock use of the bot to only certain parts of an excel, and limit users who can modify. I am the only one logged in, so despite my team members also having access to the same boards and excel as me, only I am able to modify.

**What problems is Jira Cloud Bot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira Cloud Bot enables me to export my stories on a regular basis to an Excel so that I can format and present information in the way I want. It is super easy to use and provides consistent resuls. I connected my board to an excel and am now able to sync the two every day.

Integrating Jira Cloudbot with software like Teams and WebEx is easy. The process is intuitive and it doesn't require any prior knowledge of the software.
I think that it would have been even more helpful if I had a larger team size.

In the initial use, it felt like a redundant piece of resource but as I got used to working on it, the usability made sense. It might take time to show up its usefulness, but when it does, it feels indispensable.

I have seen people facing issues in integration and when that happens, it looks like a complete road block. I haven't experienced that so far.

I find it useful as a one-stop solution for searching through conversations regarding assigned work and process updates. Using this, I can apply filter on work items based on their status.

We've integrated Jira and Teams to alert our team of high priority tickets so our most critical issues are never missed. It has also been very handy for quickly viewing linked tickets in the teams message (title/small amount of description) etc... to make referencing a direct request easier

**What do you dislike about Jira Cloud Bot?**

We have had some issues setting up the integration with multiple projects but this may just be permissions based. A little more detail on setting up the webhooks and what the limitations are would be helpful!

Ensure your administrator is proficient with JQL to assist with narrowing notifications for the webhook functions.

Important tickets not being missed in the queue and altering someone who may be on call or away from their desk of anything urgent. Our critical tickets are resolved within SLAs 100% of the time

**What do you like best about Jira Cloud Bot?**

The best feature is it is integrated with our Microsoft Teams and thus any updates, any activities, any comments on my created issues- I get notified immediately so I can take actions on it, in real-time. It provides us unified visibility from just a single platform. It makes life easy as collaboration becomes seamless.

The interface is very easy to use and the bot guides us as we navigate through the Jira cloud to operationalize in our day-to-day activities. All my sprint planning, retrospectives and comments can be done flawlessly using the bot.

**What do you dislike about Jira Cloud Bot?**

Not much of a dislike but would be great if it can provide reminders on incomplete tasks or tasks taking too long to close, some analytics on created issues/closed issues right from the chat window as it is integrated with Teams. Another aspect is we should be able to filter across multiple projects, which is currently has a bit of a limitation.

**What do you like best about Jira Cloud Bot?**

Jira has a straightforward user interface and experience. Very easy to use. Very easy to track user stories, Epic stories. Backlog, Sprint planning, Sprint retrospective all agile methodology-related activities can be done and followed flawlessly. It has excellent integration with Bitbucket, Hipchat, Confluence, etc.

**What do you dislike about Jira Cloud Bot?**

No, as such. With the new version upgrade of Jira, the left-hand side and right-hand panel are larger, which makes the middle pane very smaller and gives a view like a swimlane.

**Recommendations to others considering Jira Cloud Bot:**

Jira is best suited if your team is working in Agile culture and follow the same. Jira will give more of an enriched experience when taken with other Atlassian products like Bitbucket, Confluence, Hipchat, etc.

We use Jira for Project sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint retrospective, Epic management, User Work tracking, etc.

**What do you like best about Jira Cloud Bot?**

I really like the large number of possibilities it offers, it is possible to integrate it into a multitude of environments, both productive and non-productive.

Since we have used it, the work teams have become more involved and have improved the ability to resolve.

**What do you dislike about Jira Cloud Bot?**

I do not like that the integration is so complicated, at the beginning we had many problems, when in principle it is something really simple.

We lost more time than expected to be able to work normally and it was difficult to find support in this regard. Anyway we finally achieve our purpose

If you want to improve your communication skills and enhance teamwork, this tool can make your task much easier, as I mentioned to us, it has worked perfectly for us and has given us very good results.

It is one of the greatest tools for me as i am associated with different kind of many projects all the time of my company. I could manage tasks & workflows, use different layouts like kanban or scrum & have full track record of tasks, issues, bugs or more very comfortably. This is just the right fit for me.

At first sight, This is not very easy to grasp and learn. For a complete newbie, configuring JIRA to suit their work style could be a daunting task. Otherwise, It is worth a try.

**What problems is Jira Cloud Bot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think this is the best project management tool so far. Division and tracking of different tasks became very easy for me with the help of this software. Being a project manager of different ongoing projects of my company, It has made my life a lot easier. JIRA search functionality is very helpful.

Issue unfurling and mentions, ease of integration. Its a pretty basic integration, you select what Jira project and what actions you want to send to a Slack channel. 

**What do you dislike about Jira Cloud Bot?**

Cannot filter only mentions or actions associated with a single user, its either everything in a Jira project, or nothing.
Short on features - can't edit or create Jira issues with it via Slack. 
Also wish it could group multiple issues when mentioning more than one issue in a post/thread to reduce overload.
If you select the "clean" message style it shows everything, so one lengthy issue can create scrollback in a Slack channel.
Theres no advanced filtering by keyword.
You cannot filter across multiple projects

**Recommendations to others considering Jira Cloud Bot:**

This is the official (and only), Atlassian Slack integration for the hosted version of Jira. There are other 3rd party products that allow for issue creation and editing via Slack, which is what I personally want in a fully-baked solution.

We have a dedicated channel for blockers where Jirabot will post any and all updates to blockers. Great for top-level organization of priority issues.

What I like best about the Jira Cloud Bot is that it displays a lot of information. Any time a ticket is created it posts. any time a comment is made it posts.

What I dislike about the Jira Cloud Bot is that it posts A LOT of information. So it's a double edged sword. It great that it posts all of this stuff, but sometimes conversation threads can be lost in the deluge of Jira posts.

If you don't want to have to log in to Jira every time you want to check on project, this is a great tool

get real time notifications whenever there is an update in any ticket in jira. The notifications can be when someone comments on a ticket, or when a ticket is transitioned from one column into another column in the jira board. The notification generated by Jira Cloud Bot also has a link associated with it which takes us to the ticket details page. It also shows which user has update the ticket.

The webhooks required to setup the notifications from Jira Cloud Bot are often tricky and not easy to setup. There should be more seamless way to setup the notifications using Jira Cloud Bot. Also the notifications should contain a little description to expand more information on a certain ticket.

Jira Cloud Bot is a perfect bot to get all your jira notifications in your dedicated slack channels. Jira Cloud Bot makes it easy for you to catch up all the jira notifications in the channels that you have configured to receive notifications. It send you notifications whenever there is an update in any ticket or based on the frequency that you have set. You will get real time notifications as and when there is an update that you would like to monitor.

we are getting real time notifications using the Jira Cloud Bot integration in our slack channels which saves us a lot of time when it comes to catching up with the updates in Jira in different project. The Jira Cloud Bot app also helps us to provide with ticket information whenever someone mentions the ticket id which in communication inside the slack channel.

Instead of having to type in or copy paste ticket links, you just type in the ticket number (INT-125) and it will automatically convert it to a link with a short description which will tell the receiver which ticket it is even if they don't click to see the details. Very useful on cell phones as well
