The best thing about Dropbox is how it just stays out of the way it feels like a regular folder on my computer rather than a bulky app i have to manage. Its "Smart Sync" is a total lifesaver because it can see all my files without them actually taking up space on my hard drive until i click them. Plus, the version history is a huge safety net for me for "oh no" moments when i accidentally delete something or mess up a draft. It’s basically the most reliable way to keep everything synced across my phone and laptop without having to think about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main frustration with Dropbox is that the free version is basically useless since it only gives us 2 GB, which fills up almost instantly. It’s also annoying that there’s no middle ground for pricing; once i run out of space, they force us to jump straight to a massive 2 TB plan that costs a decent amount every month. On top of that, the app has started feeling a bit bloated with extra features like screen recording and AI tools that most people didn't ask for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
