Ability to interact with the Third-party application, Xactly incent has connector for a few applications which is used in the Enterprise, but the interacting ability is limited sometime and one has to reply on integration via middleware. However, SFTP is a solution but it makes the process tedious as it involves validation steps.

The dashboard does not update in real time and makes it difficult to understand where I stand in terms of quota attainment. It also shows a lot of info that isn't relevant and lacks info that would be. The dashboard is unstable and may be missing data that was previously there (i.e. October billings show on some days but not others). I never really know how much I am going to be paid as I cannot clearly tie my sales billings to my paycheck without 15+ clicks into different reports. It also does not let you export data easily. Ultimately, I am forced to use a spreadsheet to manage my business to ensure I am paid properly. Incent streamlines the monthly compensation process. It does the heavy lifting for you and all you need to do is verify it is calculating correctly. It allows you to create new plans and test them to pay your Sales department however you would like. It also provides analytics so that you can evaluate your sales compensation metrics. These metrics can be helpful for both Sales and Finance when working on evaluating comp plans. Our company uses this data monthly to make sure we have effective comp plans. I think that Incent could be more user friendly. In order to set up a plan or make a change there are many items that need to be changed. If one of those items is not correct the whole plan wouldn't work. I wish you wouldn't have to be so technically inclined in order to run the tool. Also, In order to get assistance you have to contact their Support team which is slow to reply. We have been using Xactly Incent going on 6 years. I can always come up with a way to pay an employee, even when they have complex comp plans. When an obstacle arises, our consultant is always available to work through the challenge and find a solution. We are advocated for and our needs are always prioritized. As an administrator, ease of use is another factor of Incent that makes my job easier compared to using competitor's applications. 1) Incent goes a long way in terms of of the scope of customization it give you in terms of plan designs.
2) Members of our sales team have absolute transparency and insight into how much they've earned for the amount of admissions they secure every month. I head the Marketing and Sales team for a Medical College. So my team having this kind of transparency into their incentives / commissions adds to the morale and team spirit! It keeps them motivated - to say the least.
3) You have different measurement criteria that you can implement and calculate upon.

5) Incent sports a user friendly interface with pretty straightforward designs and navigations. Oh, and I guess it is safe to say that the interface isn't too cluttered - however, this is just how I like things to be.

Visualizations are helpful to show performance percent to goal. Creating and exporting the reports are easy to do. Formatting when exporting the report remains intact. It is easy to use the Xactly reports in Excel and have the headers available to use in a pivot table. It is a good performance management tool when extracted to Excel to demonstrate the top performers and their percent to goal. There is also a feature to pull reports at certain times. Xactly only works well if you have standard plans that every sales representative is on. It is not compatible for unqiue plans or obscure hierarchies. If there are some commission plans that require unique tracking, Xactly won't be able to capture that data and the calculations for commissions would have to be performed outside of the system.
