## Apple Mail Reviews
 ### 1. Reliable for High-Volume Email, but Signature HTML Editing Feels Clunky

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | Owner, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

It’s the default Mail app on macOS, and it does everything I’d expect a mail client to do. Overall, it’s been fairly reliable for me, and it handles the large volume of email I need to process every day without getting in the way.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Some windows are a bit glitchy. For example, I use a rotating signature in my emails, and I’d like to be able to format the HTML manually. However, the editor window is a fixed size and doesn’t let me view the signature the way it would actually appear in a real email. Because of that, I end up resorting to the Terminal to locate the signature file and edit it there instead.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use mail rules to sort my emails into categories (e.g., clients, mailing lists, status reports, etc.), so I can focus on the messages that matter most.

 ### 2. Clean and easy native Apple application!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett L. | Marketing Director (Volunteer), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

It's a clean and simple interface to use and is automatically connected across all applications on my Mac. It also allows for multiple Mailboxes including Gmail

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Although the simplicity is a positive - I do want more from my email. Easy to switch between accounts and signatures for a strat - but as a basic email solution it is good. There are not many 3rd party integrations with Apple Mail either

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to have multiple email accounts in one lication including Gmail so I don't have to jump between programs to read email on different accounts

 ### 3. Intuitive, stable, and secure application with perfect iOS integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adolfo M. | Risk Manager, Airlines/Aviation, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Very intuitive and easy-to-use application, with perfect integration with iOS. It allows you to create mailboxes to classify emails and have preloaded responses. Additionally, on iOS, it integrates corrections and facilitates email recovery. I've never had any problems; it works very well and is stable. It gives me a lot of security to use it, you can tell it has a clean design, and the associated storage packages are very cheap. The AI is somewhat bad.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Sometimes it constantly asks to enter the password for my work account, so it's a bit annoying.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reception of emails, management of meetings, and integration with iCalendar.

 ### 4. Simple, No-Bloat App That Fits Perfectly Into iOS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yaron K. | Co-Founder & iOS Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

I love how simple it is and how it does exactly what’s required without any bloat. I also really appreciate how well it integrates with the iOS ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

I use a lot of accounts on it, and sometimes it’s hard to visually distinguish between them and understand exactly what I’m seeing.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want a simple way to use 5–6 different email accounts from multiple providers (Gmail, Fastmail, Apple) on my Mac. I’m looking for a clean, straightforward interface with basic features.

 ### 5. Easy to Use, Handy Access on My Phone

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheila K. | Marketing Strategy | Field Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Its easy to use, and i appreciate the ability to show up on my phone

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

i dont like that it wont let you import a picture on your signature line

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its solving the ability to combine several email platforms onto one to look at.

 ### 6. Convenient Multi-Account Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darrell D. | Deputy CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

I find Apple Mail very convenient because I can add and manage all my email accounts in one app. The initial setup was very easy, with a step-by-step process.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

The overall adding process could be a little bit more user-friendly.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apple Mail to manage all my email accounts in one app, which saves me from navigating different accounts. It's very convenient.

 ### 7. Stable, Integrated Email Client for Apple Devices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca P. | Chief Operations Officer DEQUA Studio | Formerly CTO in MarTech, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Apple Mail aggregates multiple email accounts, iCloud, Gmail, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo, and more, into a unified, searchable inbox across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and even Apple Watch.

The three-pane layout on desktop and clean, gesture-driven UI on mobile are intuitive and visually consistent with the Apple ecosystem.

Core productivity features now include send later, snooze, undo send, mute threads, block senders, VIP notifications, and swipe actions for triage.

Smart Folders enable dynamic message organization without duplicating emails, a standout for power users.

With Apple Intelligence (late 2024+), AI-powered summarization, priority inbox, smart replies, and advanced writing tools bring Mail closer to modern competitors.

Security is a focus: Mail Privacy Protection masks IP addresses and read receipts, while spam filtering and encryption are robust defaults.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

The desktop app’s search, while improved, still doesn’t match Gmail’s speed or flexibility for large archives.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apple Mail delivers a no-nonsense, private, and reliable email experience for users deeply invested in Apple hardware and services.

It removes the friction of managing multiple accounts across devices, with seamless sync, unified notifications, and tight integration with Contacts, Calendar, and Notes.

The addition of AI tools reduces inbox overload by surfacing urgent messages and summarizing threads, while privacy features limit tracking from senders.

For small businesses and professionals using Apple hardware exclusively, Mail is stable, fast, and “just works” for daily communication without requiring additional apps or subscriptions.

✅ It won’t revolutionize email workflows, but it consistently handles the basics with minimal setup or maintenance.

 ### 8. Great Apple Intelligence Integration, But UI and Features Need Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

The integration of Apple Intelligence is amazing for productivity.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

The user interface could be significantly improved, especially when compared to the polished look of other Apple apps. Additionally, I believe more features could be added, as it seems this app has been neglected for years without receiving proper updates.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really appreciate being able to sync all of my email addresses in a single app. It functions much like Gmail, but it’s built in natively. The Apple intelligence features are also a significant advantage.

 ### 9. Emails in one spot

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Revay P. | Certified Nursing Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

I love that all my emails can be accessed so easily

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Nothing at all it works perfectly fine for me

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping all my business emails separate from personal emails

 ### 10. Apple Mail-Easiest Mail App!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Apple mail is super functional and easy to use. I have even taught my grandparents how to navigate through the mail app so they can send and receive emails with ease.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Sometimes it takes longer to send an email than other mail apps I use.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the need to communicate quickly and efficently. It allows me to get information to other people in the palm of my hand from my cell phone.

 ### 11. A great mail app, but there are better ones for non IOS users

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iyer A. | Business Development Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Apple Mail comes integrated into all Apple products. The customer support from Apple as everyone knows is also some of the best in the world. Although since this came pre-loaded the ease of implementation was as perfect as possible (many people already know/use it). Being in sales I use this every single day, but also in conjunction with Gmail and Outlook. It has a wide variety of standard and advanced email features.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

It has trouble organizing long threads (emails with many replies). This goes especially for back-and-forth attachments. I also wish they had better integration of video calls.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can shoot off an email and receive an email faster on Apple Mail than I can/do on Gmail or Outlook. FOr speed of reply, I lean on Apple Mail. Beyond that it doesn't serve that much of a unique purpose. This app can integrate other mail apps/companies such as Gmail, however it is not to be confused with Apple's Icloud Mail, which is apple's premier service.

 ### 12. This maill app is underrated

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

It is integrated with OSX by default which makes it interacting really really well with other products in Appl's environment.

For companies that are asking their employees to use mail client instead of a web version ones can surely look at this

It can save your budget in buying other mail client or installing another open source makl client. As it worked oit of the box with other Apple's product, there won't be much of modification needed for this to work great for the users

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

If you are not in OSX, you will not have the privilage to use it, while it is a great tool

The integration with non Ical will take a bit of modification

If you are in POP3, the first sync will take sometimes to complete, not mentioning the indexing whcih will take sometimes ig you have large enails

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The removal of buying a premium tool for the email client, as it works great already with almost the same features, this is a big money savings, as we are reducing siftware's subscription cost

 ### 13. Apple Mail is a must have

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francine C. | Licensed Real Estate Agent - Elite Real Estate Solutions, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

You can have apple mail on all your devices and have multiple emails in one place. Game changer. Apple mail is easy to use, and I love that no matter which device you are using you can access all of them easily.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Don't like the "Stacking" of messages. Sometimes you reply to the wrong one if you are not paying attention.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love having the ability to have mutliple emails on each device.

 ### 14. Apple Mail seamlessly works with everything else Mac!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nelson R. | Legal Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

My favorite thing about Apple Mail is that I have a multitude of options of which type of email provider I connect to my Apple Mail. I can use Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. I also love the user interface. Like everything else that Apple does, it's simple to use and meets my needs. The fact that it comes preinstalled on my phone, laptop and iPad makes for incredibly easy tranisitions across all of my devices. I also like being able to connect my outlook email to it, becuse I like having the GMail app for that email.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

I wish they made it more readily known that you can have more than one email address connected to your Apple Mail. I had been using it for a while before I figured that out, and I had to Google it to figure out how to do it. Also, speaking of the interface, it would be cool if we had some variety of choices for what the display looked like, as sometimes it can look a little boring. I know Gmail has done something like that in the past and it would be cool if we could add colors to the display or change cutomize the look of it in someway.

**Recommendations to others considering Apple Mail:**

If you have an Apple device, you should really consider utilizing the Apple Mail app. It comes preinstalled on all on your devices and it really is an "all-in-one" type email service so you don't have to have multiple apps on your phone if you don't want to. I like using Apple's apps because they all work well together and I've never had any issues with Apple Mail.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit I have realized is having one app that basically takes care of all of my email needs. Once I figured out that I can put more than one email address on the app, it allowed me to have almost all of my emails in one place, across all of my devices. This saves me time and adds efficiency to my day knowing that I can open up one app and see all of my current emails.

 ### 15. Easy to manage and navigate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marla D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

How fast I get my emails have been amazing. I appreciate the user friendly support and being able to delete multiple emails at a time. I also appreciate all the different features.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Nothing really comes to mind.i really like everything about this .

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't had any real problems for Apple mail to solve but I do believe they would work effectively to solve anything that comes up.

 ### 16. A Good Email Client

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefano G. | Education Solutions Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Apple Mail is a good email client that can handles multiple account and has great personalization features like smart folders and tags that helps keeping your inbox ordered and up-to-date. You can also avoid sending an email in the first seconds if you notice an error like missing attachments and you can schedule an email to be sent sometimes in the future.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Sometimes Apple Mail seems to have difficulties syncronizing emails from Google using the IMAP protocol and moving big amount of emails from different folders can be a bit stressful.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apple Mail helps me keeping my inbox ordered and up-to-date: I receive a lot of customers support tickets and I can order them, filter them and automatically organize them using smart folders and tags.

Apple Mail solves the native integration of email in my iPhone and contains all email addresses in one app.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shahnawaz K. | Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

The way i can connect with any other native way of connectivity within the apple ecosystem. I can sync it with all my devices and use handoff feature to continue from whichever device I'm using.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

I wish the application across all platforms could make my emails and calendar get aligned like how Outlook does. it's a nifty feature to connect all emails and calendars together.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apple mail is helping me connect all my email addresses and across devices so that I can be updated and be productive throughout. I use it on a regular basis and use it's scheduling feature as well.

 ### 19. Not the best Mail platform

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Georgia L. | O, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

it integrates with my Apple universe and is accessible on my devices.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

I find it very clunky to use. In comparison to other mail programmes, apple mail has fewer features and the it's not easy to set up your accounts in.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It integrates well with apps like preview and iCloud but the platform is seriously lacking.

 ### 20. Easy ecosystem for mail

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean O. | Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Easy to use across multiple platforms. Simple to use on laptop and phone. Whether you're on the go or in the office, Apple Mail makes email simple and clean.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Not easy to setup all the quick functions that you would like.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Works across multiple platforms

 ### 21. A Mail Experience That leaves Something To Be Desired

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Apple Mail allows for an Apple-based app for the iPhone that makes it easy to keep track of mail and integrate contacts but besides that, the system leaves quite a bit to be desired.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Apple's mail app is behind it's counterparts ina number of capacities. Gmail has more functionality with other services and features, while collaboration comes with more success with other mail domains too.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Apple mail platform is very plain. It doesn't come with bells and whistles but that isn't a good thing. Without increased functionality, it's difficulty to get a lot out of the service beyond simply just using it for email.

 ### 22. Acceptable but not ideal

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Having an app that syncs multiple email accounts is nice

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

Very glitchy, hard to use, if you have multiple drafts your screen will be overrun by new mail windows until you delete them

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nice to have a click to email option in Apple devices, rather than having to go through numerous steps to send an email from Gmail for example

 ### 23. Apple Mail is not only easy to use, but combines all platforms into one!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheila K. | Marketing Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Its just so nice to be able to see all of your email platforms into one easy to use app versus having to have a Yahoo App, GMail App, Outlook App, etc. It gives a great at a glance touch to apple.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

I wish there was a way to create folders on Apple Mail versus having to create them in the different apps and then see them in Apple Mail. Sometimes I'm on the fly.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its solving the ability to have to constantly have several apps open to check mail. I have a work email and 3 personal emails (You know, one for junk, your ACTUAL email, and one for more junk) so its just easier to have them all combined.

 ### 24. Excellent and simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salvador A. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Very convenient, easy and intuitive. Beautiful interface. Easy set up. New features (unsend, follow up, etc) are a great addition. Easy integration within Apple echo system.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

The email could be benefited with the integration of other services (Notion, asana, trello). Junk and trash could be integrated on one single box in iOS (it's currently separated by account.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easy, effective and comprehensive. I can easily book meetings, link to my calendar, use rich text. It's a simple but efficient solution for email communication.

 ### 25. Good and basic email software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yaniv V. | Director, Quality & Processes, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

The biggest advantage is that it comes natively with your mac and behaves quite the same as the native email client you have on your iPhone

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

The biggest disadvantage is that it's relatively basic in terms of advanced features

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When working on my business laptop, instead of having 2 identical email clients (work and personal), I'm using Apple Mail for the business email and I have another app for the personal email, keeping them apart.

 ### 26. Apple Mail for Everyone

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abbey R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

It's absolutely the easiest product to use out there. I've shown my elderly parents how to use it and they are able to access their mail frequently. I enjoy it for the modern and simple layout it offers. I use it daily.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

It's so easy to delete emails and not realize it. I've had to jump into my "recently deleted" a time or two to retrieve things I didn't mean to delete.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to manage my email at a fast pace and gather information quickly. Sending a quick email is no problem.

 ### 27. A great mail app for Apple users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

The integration with Apple products (iPhone/iPad/Mac) is excellent. It really works seamlessly and is very simple to use. The navigation is clean as well.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

It frequently has difficulty with syncs when connected to a Google IMAP account. It will stall out the sync for chunks of time, which can be infuriating when you are waiting for an email to arrive immedietly. I have only seen this issue with Google IMAP accounts however.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great GUI for using email, not just apple email accounts but business accounts as well.

 ### 28. Inbox with ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wyce G. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

It is very simple to add your email. I have ussed various platforms from yahoo to gmail to even my personal domain.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

I wish that blocking spam was easier. Sometimes it seems spam just continues to flow in.

**What problems is Apple Mail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to quickly sort and find emails. Even emails from months and years ago.

It is helping in all my official work related to storing a mail at convient and with secure data

 ### 30. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany L. | Business Owner & Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Apple Mail?**

Easy to add any email address, so integration was easy. I have several websites, and emails to manage. I like that I can see all of my emails together.

**What do you dislike about Apple Mail?**

I HATE that they've removed the sorting button from the task bar. You used to EASILY be able to click 'Sort By' and select By Name, Date, Sender...and so on. It's hard to find where to do that and it's not in an easy place. I also hate that on a desktop when you get a notification on the top right of your screen, you used to be able to hit delete right away, not a drop-down button to select a quick action like delete or reply. Setting an away auto-response, is a little tricky to figure out for the average user.
