It comes by default in the iPhone device and after purchasing any new device, you need to create an iCloud id and those credentials can be used to log in to Apple Mail services. It can be directly synchronize with the iCloud server and hence you can have a backup of all your mails and data. It comes with a special VIP mail list to receive important mails. Its a simple and basic mailing application and can be logged onto it from Browser. Its very compatible with different OS including chrome, mozila and safari. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its a very basic mailing application's. It will be having very minimal features and hence it is not preferable for Business or Corporate purpose. Some time the background synchronize can take longer time and effects your battery. It is by default added as a Mailing app and hence switching between Gmail and iPhone Mail is tedious. I like the fact that it is extremely easy to use and it has all of my information stored in one area. All of my accounts - whether Yahoo, Exchange, or Gmail can be housed in one area so I can easily, and efficiently, grab my emails and respond. Being on the go most of the time, it's easy to be able to forget to check emails. And having multiple accounts is frustrating to have to sign in to each of them. This makes my life so much easier. Thanks Apple Mail! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that you have to re-enter your password several times a month but understand that it is for security reasons. I wish there was a way you could mark as read a lot faster but of course, it'll do. From your phone, its not easy to find where you can create folders either. If that's my biggest complaint, I feel like Apple Mail still received an A! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that replies to email threads are laid out in one thread so I can easily scroll up and see an entire conversation history between me and another person. I use other shared inboxes in the business so this feature is useful to see what has been stated already so I can carry on a conversation with a customer if need be. The search function is horrendous, even if I use the formulas to only look up certain words, phrases or people I tend to have multiple emails come up which are completely irrelevant to what I've searched, and even if I go into those emails there's literally no mention of the word that I searched. Apple mail is for any mac user a way to keep all your mail on your desktop without opening your browser.
It's really useful because even without an internet connection you can access to all your preview mails.
Also can manage several mail accounts on one platform doesn't matter if it's Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and so on.
It's also included by default in Mac OS X making it a standard for all the Mac users
Well-designed, simple and pleasant interface, numerous features including spam filters, random signature, photo, exchange account support and PDF annotation that is really helping me to be more efficient.
You can create rules to make the organization of your automatic messages. You can also give VIP status to some of your contacts whose messages will be placed in your VIP mailbox, ensuring you to not miss any correspondence
The interface is presented in three columns, it's simple and effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
On a daily basis, no real big issues, but if they could integrate a calendar to Apple Mail it would be even more efficient. No more need to use Outlook for the calendar. Also, you can experience some bugs sometimes.
The web version of it is a bit disappointing compared to its mobile version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best mail application for Mac systems and easy to use and configure with Notes, Calendar, and lots of other available services and awesome sync feature with the connected devices.
Easy to configure multiple email ids on same application.
Easy to configure rules and manage with folders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The apple mail is available for Apple devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mail has good integration with dozens of other Apple services, seamless across the Apple ecosystem, and is reliable, fast and easy to use thanks to its position as a core app built right into macOS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI of mail and tools for organization falls well behind googles gmail and Microsoft outlooks with limited options to manage mail as well as lacks googles own integration features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Drag and drop is breezy.
Great that you can drag emails to save as eml format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Search is horrendous, it's a guess of luck if you can search with your keywords as it does not filter into dates or sender/receivers.
Attachments are horrible, some images are shrunk without your prior knowledge, and attachments expire which casuses massive issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use, comes with mac os from the start so it's very easy set up and get started with.
It's very stable and "just works" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rubbish search function, tricky to send HTML emails. It has not changed for a very long time and that makes it feel a bit dated unfortunately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Well, its a cool lightweight mail client. I've three accounts in it and it works just fine. Synchronizes really quick. haven't crashed many times. What else can I say? Its a better mail client than others which I've used so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First thing is, the groups feature of the Microsoft outlook isn't visible in the apple mail app. So every time when I get emails from the group I'll have to open outlook to check. Second thing is I don't get notifications for the emails that I receive in other folders. I mean if there's a rule for incoming emails to copy it to a particular folder I won't get notifications for those emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that it syncs with outlook - I never miss a work email Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wish it was easier to add an attachment - If i need to send a photo or a screen shot, I need to go into my photos on my iphone and send it that way (unless i'm using my macbook; which I have no issues with apple mail then. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mail is a extremely useful and easy tool to manage from just one account to several mail accounts, all in the same window. It's integration is amazing, it is compatible with Google and Gsuite accounts, even the ones who have 2 Step verification methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that Apple has not enforced a easy way to add or edit personalized HTML signatures, even though it is possible to add one, the road to accomplish it is not something a regular user could perform on its own (due to restrictions on the machine or due to lack of knowledge) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The simple no-fuss design, unlike Outlook's interface which feels a lot more cluttered in comparison. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The attachments can get lost in an email thread. Also, JPEGs sometimes go in the body of the mail instead of an attachment which is a nuisance when you're trying to share high-resolution files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
truly nothing, it's a burdensome product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
everything-- i hate that it's installed on my work computer and i can't seem to eliminate it. It pops up at inconvenient times and opens dozens of windows accidentally Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No ads. Directly in your inbox and ease of use - if you’re not coming from an Outlook/exchange environment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You loose a lot of features that you may use everyday in outlook/exchange. Very basic and not as organized as Outlook or Exchange. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that fact that Apple Mail enables you to view your mail while not having to open the web browser to do so. I enjoy keeping the 2 elements separate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have yet to find a flaw apparent to me with the Apple Mail software. I enjoy using it and the ease of using it with my Apple products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing that I like best about Apple Mail is the fact that I am able to import email accounts from any email service provider and access them all from the application. Apple Mail enables me to check my Outlook, Gmail and iCloud email addresses all from its application. All I have to do is enter my login credentials one single time to import the account and then my email is accessibile from Apple Mail. Once I open the Apple Mail application, all of my email accounts are there and I can do searches throughout all of the accounts or by one account at a time which is a convenient feature. I dislike the amount of space that Apple Mail takes up on my phone. It takes up more space than any other application on my device and can be slow at times, depending on how many email messages I have in the application. At times, checking my email can take a while and while Apple Mail is connecting and checking my email, it freezes and nothing else can be done. There have been many times when I have had to force the application to close and manually restart it after it freezes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
