It's hard to centralize data and there's many segments or docs I think we don't need to split having notion as a model

I'm inviting people to have some tables to control assignments for our religious community

  ### 3. Using Coda everyday on a company with 80 employees

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is a combination of google docs, spreadhseet and also the ability to customize and build entire apps. The usage of this tool is very extensive, very good for different use cases.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

What I dislike about Coda are some features regarding the ability to easily link tables between to different docs, and also the fact that it could be easier to copy and past the conditional format between tables, it would cut back the manual work.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda in an organisation with around 80 people allowed us to get collaborative in a span of customized documents. As an example, we have a remote document for people to check in every day and share content. We also run all OKRs tracking in a Coda doc. This tool has allowed us to be more collaborative and better work asyncronously.

  ### 4. Very powerful tool for business, highly recommended over Airtable!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcel D. | Technology Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda can be fairly complex but also super simple to use. Their 'Packs' are very neat integrations that give you the ability to pull in very essential data for your project!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

When starting new team members on Coda it is fairly confusing to them how 1 doc with several tables are sync across the pages. But that's the real beauty of it!

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business Operations, Content Management, Sales Pipelines, Publishing, Complex Formulas, things are just endless. The logic for formulas is better than Google Sheets!

  ### 5. MS Office in one!

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The templates available, and the continuous improvement of the product. It shows that Coda is listenign to its users.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Tables. I hope it can be as vesatile as Excel -- you can merge cells easily

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of our projects, making it our source of truth for our processes.

  ### 6. All your thoughts/notes in one place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is a one-stop shop to house anything important. You can add .docs, lists, spreadsheets, anything you like, and have them all one click away.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Can be a bit clunky if not managed appropriately.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When starting a new job virtually, I received a ton of information to process. I began drowning in .docs and spreadsheets, and had to remind myself where to access all of them. Coda, made that problem extremely easy. I can house all the aforementioned items in Coda and have them all be one click away.

  ### 7. The perfect project management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Love the flexibility Coda provides! I can set my document in any way I want, and easily make changes on the go. It's a great way to combine all my notes, trackers, documents, etc. in one place and can be used for personal project management/daily organization, or as a broader collaboration tool.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Some of the more advanced features are not as intuitive and most of the time I'm not even aware they exist, so a targeted way of providing knowledge and guidance on these would definitely be valued.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly use it for personal work roadmapping (laying out my quarterly plan in tracker form). This allows me to easily share it with stakeholders and update status' as I progress throughout the quarter. It's also great as a daily organization tool.

  ### 8. Deal or no deal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen C. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The functionality of being able to self contain all my notes and tables in the same doc

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Would like a little more flexibility on the free features

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using it to document daily notes and currently creating a scavenger hunt for our team

  ### 9. My coworkers ge a lot done on this thing!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda's pricing model allows you to add collaborators for free! (Paid accounts are additionally allowed to create new docs.)

Coda has worse usability than Google Docs, and I've submitted requests to their support team. The editor is overall a little glitchy. 🤞Hope they'll improve it soon!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

We've gone down the route of nesting everything into one giant doc (not sure what they're called). That makes it harder for me to find what I need from my browser history because it's all under one entry.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are sharing status updates and notes while everyone is working remotely!

My productivity is the same as ever, and Coda presents no substantial obstacles. Although it took a while to typeset some things that my team told me to transfer from Slack.

  ### 10. Powerful, yet difficult

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrés S. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The interface and the possibilities for creating different type of docs

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The relations between folders and the lack of shortcuts

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

You need commitment and time to learn and get the potential

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contento management system. It's clean and easy to read

  ### 11. Easy to use, hard to master

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip K. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

How easy it is to use, but the simplicity does not halter the number of features it offers. All the built-in templates also make it extremely easy to get started

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The mobile app is unbearable and makes it hard to consume notes on the go. Using it in larger company organizations also makes it hard when using a lot of different tables

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

Take the time and read best practices how to structure your documents and how to reuse tables

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me its having everything in one place, and how I can customize coda so it benefits my needs. This range everything from larger strategic documents to smaller team voting docs

  ### 12. CODA is awesome

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamás M. | youth worker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It is really good how it combines document editing, website design and database. Really useful for our NGO! Thank you very much for the Non-profit discount too!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There are some minor features which are not built in YET! But looking at the community it is really growing fast and developers are really understanding the needs of the users!

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal platform for the staff to pull in tables, simpler internal forms, and interconnect different data within the organisation.

  ### 13. Coda is a lifesaver.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It's super easy to create a document with structure and purpose that is easy for the entire team to navigate and interact with.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I'm not great at creating formulas, so creating documents with more complex formula needs can be challenging. However, the Coda team is super responsible and helpful when I need support.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have our team's "hub" in Coda. It provides us with a space for async updates, tracking our OKRs, project pages, and more.

  ### 14. Like excel, but less crying

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It was a pretty common occurrence when I was using excel / google sheets that I would build something awesome, then I would work very hard to convince my team to use it, then when I had finally gotten people on board they would ask for "one more thing". That thing, though almost always completely reasonable and very valuable, would break the entire sheet. I would have to go back to the beginning to rebuild my system, it would mean an additional tab added to the document, and more ways for the system to break.

Coda uses tables instead of cells. At first, this was difficult to get used to. However, once I understood the model, I also came to understand how much more powerful tables are. It means that when people ask for "one more feature" I can almost always make it rather effortlessly.

The other day a family member asked me to introduce them to Google Sheets so that they would understand how to use it. I instead took them to Coda and we built their doc in the course of a couple hours. They then decided that maybe they didn't need Coda, and they switched back to Google Sheets. They emailed me, "I have just finished putting all my information into the sheets, but now I need to do X, how can I do that?" The unfortunate answer was, "you have to restart from the beginning :("

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I want to be able to have pages inside pages. This would really enable a lot more functionality. Also, I'm frustrated that it's not yet possible to print your documents. I want to save them to pdf and share with people, but that's not currently a feature they offer.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically we run our whole company in coda. All of our meeting notes are there, all of our prospects are recorded there, all of our market research is done there, we create very cool interactive presentations for our customers there, we do app prototyping in it. These are just the docs I currently have open in my browser.

  ### 15. Coda is a great, intuitive tool!

**What do you like best about Coda?**

- docs within docs
- integrating tables and data
- amazing help community

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

- interface of doc home page
- the ability to make your doc wider in view

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- finding information easily using the search function and doc within doc feature

  ### 17. Great replacement for google doc, flexible and fun to use, pleasing to look at

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Aesthetically pleasing, fun to use. Voting and other collaboration functions are great. Searching for docs is easy. Copy/Paste is smooth without having to format

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Was trying to have people edit a table with 1k+ rows and it's frustratingly slow (to both edit and browse). Also can't see who have viewed the doc.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To have a more structured doc with sections, but also making it fun to read for audiences.

  ### 18. Simple and easy tool for use, with great customer support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shanell H. | Sr Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I appreciate you can modify each page with the exact design / tool I require. I appreciate the design and the part that basically can modify most of the feature of each workpage. It's a terrific method to grasp what this website is and to improve the overall sense of excellent design, I like that I can add emoji. A constant investment in new features, almost all monthly, consistent and extensive support. Support guided the functionality configuration patiently and was prepared to correct errors and omissions on my behalf in order to achieve the desired result.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

It was a little difficult to modify other programs like Excel when I started using Coda. However, due to the customer chat, the adjustment was pretty quick. There's currently nothing important I don't like, I'd like to see a web admission form somewhere.

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

Customer support is straightforward to utilize and may be helped for any difficulty. I regard assistance as a crucial element of the instrument. To examine your case of use, the free product test and its extensive model collection should be adequate. Do not hesitate to support you because my experience was amazing.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a tool to combine various features such as writing our reports, tracking our goals, organizing an event. This is a tool that is easy to use and you can basically adapt each page as you wish. For several applications, I used CODA, including budget control, event planning and catalog building. I have met others that grasp their purpose instantly, and there is no need for a long explanation.
You don't have to worry about sharing with the team all since every time you make a change it's already shared.

  ### 19. Great collaboration tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

everything is centralized in one place, i love the integrated calendar/sheet/kan ban views too! Love how you can update something in one place and it'll update in another place. Having one source of truth is sooo vital in a team collaboration environment!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The onboarding process takes a long time. It's intimating for new users. I still have not learned the formula features bc the onboarding for it is very overwhelming. I also don't like how it only partners with Gmail/Gcalendar. I would like partnership with Outlook too, since that's what my company uses.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

having 1 source of truth with various data visualization to understand projects at different angles and attitude. I love replacing the multiple GDoc and GSheet expereinces

  ### 20. It is customizable and very easy to use.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manuel A. | Senior Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

As a result, the entire user experience is quite intuitive and customizable, with icons that can be added to documents. There are a number of unique information flows, integrated tables and individuals you can tag for comments in the document that makes it the best of the best! Also, Coda comes with a ton of ready-to-use templates. There is also the ability to link with third-party systems like Google Sheets and Jira with ease. I have the ability to design any format I choose. This paper may be as basic or as complex as I want it to be. My paper can always be improved in the future because there is so much functionality.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There isn't much to hate, but duplicating templates and tables often establishes a connection to the original data that isn't always desirable. However, having more alternatives is the ideal "downside" since I can always go back at my papers and come up with fresh creative ideas to improve, simplify, or add features as needed for the particular job or objective of the document.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is the platform we utilize to document our work. As a result, I'd love to see Coda have templates that automatically style themselves. Coda's ability to @ reference our pages within their Coda pages/sections is a nice feature. As a result, it is used to store all of our information: documents, notes, daily standup information, demo function and sprint reviews, among other things. Almost all of our business processes are run through Coda nowadays.

  ### 21. Extremely Useful Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alice X. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Very easy to use compared to other programs. Easy to use for collaboration purposes.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Some of the functions were difficult to figure out, such as, summing a column

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everyone is virtually and it has been difficult to collaborate between my colleagues and I. Coda allows us to work on files together, and it brings all of the MS functions into one program

  ### 22. Coda makes work fun and efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda has been instrumental in keeping our team organized and aligned towards our goals. At my company, we use coda as our global knowledge management space, career development hub, and team project planning. It's interactive and user-friendly!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

We have not been able to integrate coda with slack and google packs due to privacy & security issues.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization, project planning, individual development

  ### 23. great doc platform to stay organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It's intuitive to use, and it's easy to expand upon a doc using packs and other tools

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The mobile experience doesn't match up to the desktop experience. Working with docs through the app seems a bit clunky.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able to build docs for organization and even build out a few application specific docs.

  ### 24. Powerful, versatile and amazing collaboration tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mauricio A. | Lead Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The power it has in its formulas and collaboration features. Imagination is the only limit we've faced when working with Coda. We've built our CRM within it as well as many reports that we share with our customers to keep track of their projects.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Performance is sometimes an issue. Also there aren't any options to use tables as spreadsheets and apply formulas within each cell, this would be a really great addition.
Also it could use some work on document management and organization features.

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

This is a great tool if you are looking for a powerful document tool.
It has a free trial so you can give it a good run.
The community is great and are always up for helping out with recommendations on how to solve problems and scenarios within Coda.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've solved:
- Internal process documentation
- Project documentation
- Reporting
- CRM
- We use it as our source to invoice our clients

  ### 25. Catchier than Pink Eye; Coda is the balm we've all been looking for!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

First, let me begin with the sheer versatility of the Coda. Imagine having the power to weave together the best elements of your SQL with the power of business application construction all at a functional and reasonable price. Not only can I build an entire database to help facilitate the needs of my contract-based projects, but I can support it through integrated app-based formulas, ease of use for non-creators, seamless web integrations, and so much more! See what excites me most is that you can only be limited by your imagination when it comes to Coda. And what you can imagine, that may not be in the system, the Coda team is excited to hear about it and really listen to what will help. From the ground up, Coda is a game changer.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

With the software and team growing rapidly, there isn't much to dislike. There are few small items here and there that have been shared with the tech team, but what I appreciate is that they will be honest with you about what can and will come down the pipeline, and not give you the standard dev response of "Oh, it's coming." Forms can really be given an upgrade to be streamed more in line with competitor software (i.e. Google Forms, Survey Monkey, etc). Coda has a far superior handle on the acquired data and when forms are better supported the data can be used and analyzed more efficiently.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving internal communication fluidity challenges. Building up better functionality between contractors and staff, as well as overall tasks management and completion. Now that we are fully immersed in the software its hard to imagine not having it. The business has moved forward so much

  ### 26. perfect platform to build internal business tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pieter L. | ceo - partner - designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

the extensive formulas that are possible.
It is one of the few codeless tools I found where you can reference data in formulas between multiple tables.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I would like to have a bit more layouting options (looking forward to the new editor...)

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We outgrown spreadsheets, but didn't want to pay external firm to create specific tools.
I used filemaker in the past, but Coda is a lot faster ande easier.

  ### 27. It's so flexible and powerful. Suits all kinds of needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cleber S. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Powerful formulas, everything is connected, canvas formulas, buttons. They got all the basics right to create a better kind of document! Once you understand how they work (and it didn't take me long), you have the power to create complete applications that solve business problems you didn't know you had.

And I like the pace at which they launch improvements. At some point, I felt like they read my mind when they launched features I really needed

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Some building blocks aren't very polished.
Charts become useless because they don't grow to accommodate larger datasets. (I want to see a bar chart with a hundred bars)
Gantt charts have a rudimentary UI.
Forms are nice but lack some customization (like adding text or images to create a narrative or branding). Logic on forms (showing and hiding fields based on previous answers) would be a nice-to-have.

I miss translation only on some column formats. I mean, Coda docs are blank canvases for us to write in the language we want so our docs look almost completely Brazilian. But some column formats insert text in their cells (like date columns that show the day of the week). These are the ones that kinda break the experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

Take the time to learn formulas and experiment a lot. Once you master them, coda becomes a way of thinking and you'll always see solutions based on a coda doc.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For years, our team at APIS design never had ONE tool to document and plan projects. We were scattered between spreadsheets, google docs, trello, freedcamp. We make different kinds of projects and never thought there would be a tool we could track all projects.

I tried coda in 2018 to keep track of a one-year long editorial project and it really saved me from going crazy. The entire editoral flow (which we used to track in huge spreadsheets) was tracked on coda. It was MUCH easier to fill with buttons and formulas. And I could see the progress at a glance, with charts showing our speeds and highlighting the tasks we spend most time on (so I could dive in and see If I could optimize smth)

After that, all the team adopted the tool. We have a doc for each project. And now we have a main doc where people can see whats happening in the studio (all projects, teams, knowledge base...)

  ### 28. Coda is the best tool we've used to date for organizing product feedback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I think of Coda as a perfect combination of Airtable and Notion. I have experience using both tools, and when I started using Coda, I was amazed by its capacity as a collaborative spreadsheet-database hybrid. Coda is very low-code. I love the flexibility to visualize datasets in different ways, filter them using controls on the page, etc. I'm so impressed by this tool. I love that my team can access many of these views without having an account. I LOVE the integration with Typeform as well. Super clean.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There's not much to dislike, but I will say that it takes some reps to understand how to use formulas in a way that work best for what you're trying to accomplish. I would also recommend that there are only a few gatekeepers as it's relatively easy to delete or mess up work.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team primarily uses Coda to store and sort product feedback. The ability to present data in different formats is beneficial to my team. For example, I often convert some of our top product feedback themes into a pie chart visualization so that my team can easily see what topics have surfaced the most in the past 7-30 days. I often create new views of feedback categorized by different themes. The ability to create timestamp controls (in addition to many other filters) is also very useful so that my team can easily sort and filter for what they would like to learn more about. Overall, the tool is really robust, and my team has had great things to say about it.

  ### 29. A versatile, simple and easy to use collaborative tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The simplicity and ease of use is what I love. The Coda templates are so simple yet so relevant and useful. I feel the best part about coda is how simple and clean it looks from the outside but the number of customisations possible from just a simple table is far too much. It is currently my go to tool for any kind of documentation, collaboration and detailed note taking.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I think there is some amount of learning curve thats there, especially with the table filters/ columns/formulas and rules. But I guess every platform has that, so I can love with it. I feel what is missing currently is a change log for a page/document. And if it does exist then it's hard to find . Feel like they are of utmost importance while collaborating now, especially when we are in a more hybrid working style.

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

A great collaborative tool, and a one stop for all your note management and documenting needs.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The templates to start with are so so easy and relevant, cuts down the time I spend in figuring out the format of any document. Apart from that just the number of format options/features that are there, makes it the one stop for most of the team's needs .

  ### 30. Coda Review - Kevin Goodspeed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The flexibility of the platform to suit a variety of business use-cases. I love the connectedness of tables across an entire doc. It has been our primary communication method for project statuses at our company and has been dramatically increased visibility into what teams are working on, what's coming up, etc. Everyone's finally on the same page.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Coda's flexibility is also its curse. You have to be VERY careful when making large changes lest you break something. I'd love to see more ways to lock things down a bit to avoid unintended errors.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're trying to provide more visibility into the work teams are actively engaged on, as well as visibility into what's coming up. We've utilized Coda to document and communicate our entire product development process across the company. We also use it for team-level documentation (engineering specs, meeting notes, etc).

  ### 31. Coda helps me keep organized and on-top of tasks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I like that you can customize all fields so that you can track exactly what you need to

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Copy and pasting from other sources, I wish it would automatically change the font and size to match

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am staying on-top of weekly duties and following up. Using Coda in tandem with Salesforce keeps me on track.

  ### 32. You never wrong when choosing coda to manage project details

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The amount of features that coda provides with a beautiful UI to document your projects is really great. It's integration with Jira, Slack, and GitHub have been the most helpful, which also let you automate tasks!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

With the no. of features coda provides, there ofcourse is some learning curve associated.
You need to have an account to share data with users who are already not part of the platform.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda helps me share details of a project with clients.
We track a lot of projects with coda, which helps in tracking them easily. It is a tool that enables us to collaborate easily

  ### 33. I like using CODA as a knowledge hub

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deirdre O. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It's easy to use; easy to teach people to use. It's always getting new features added.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The help interface is slightly confusing.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to make it a knowledge hub within the copmany_as opposed to Google drive.

Conditional formatting, using cards like a kanban board.

  ### 34. All-in-one platform for business operations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda provides me with an endlessly flexible toolbox from which I can effortlessly create everything from simple team notes to robust operational systems to run my business.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Every time I identify something small that could make my experience more productive, Coda rolls out a new feature that addresses it. It feels like enhancements are subtly rolling in every day!

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Coda as a reservation management platform to handle everything from automated communications, collecting information to viewing key metrics. It's awesome that all the data can be tied back together in one simple place, connecting back to planning tools like our task manager and employee database. With Packs, Coda allows for even more opportunity to connect to the few other tools used to run the business.

  ### 35. Great tool for team collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Dynamic tables are an incredible resource for building, maintaining, and using data sources. Coda also makes it easy to collaborate with team members and across xfun projects, while staying organized.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Nothing notable. I wish there were more formatting features sometimes to make things extra pretty but the core functionality is there.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team collaboration, x-fun collaboration, maintaining and building data sources.

  ### 36. Coda is a great tool. I love the way you can organize information!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I love the organization of the documents. Additionally, the power behind the linkage of tables, customization to create project management systems is very useful.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I just wish that there was a little more availability on the API integration side. Would love to automate more by linking to 3rd party tools.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, project managing through Coda! The benefits are that it allows many spaces to get updated with a single sync keeping teams on the same page.

  ### 37. Great system for developing in-house apps and documentation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Flexibility to create our own applications that we can use and share within the team

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Would help to have more flexibility with design layout of apps when using Mobile

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Built an in-house ERP system that is 100% catered to our needs

  ### 38. A new way of thinking about data and apps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda makes it easy to record data and display it in a friendly way. Automation of common tasks is greatly simplified compared to spreadsheets and other tools.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Coda has a learning curve, due to its re-imagining of the spreadsheet interface. Some of the collaboration features require a more expensive plan.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've replaced Google Sheets spreadsheets with something much more dedicated to working with data of many types. We have better insight into and automation of our data.

  ### 39. A great software for internal knowledgebases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin T. | Corporate Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The feasibility, price, and templates that they offer

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The logic when building tables can sometimes be a bit confusing/hard to figure out

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a very easy way for our team to document processes across teams and within teams

  ### 40. Easy to implement and use.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike R. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

At the expense of a couple of coffee each month, Coda has enabled us to draw some operations details (inventories, clients, events) to a large online system. For several different purposes, it's amazing. The team was able to support me easily if I had a concern. Personally and technically, I use it.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Because Coda is different from the programs I used, you must learn how to find a solution to problems. This is another way of thinking. The main challenge facing us with Coda are the incomplete functions. There is no way to print pdf, for example (invoices). It will be a significant move forward for the system to automate this feature.

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

Please spend some time looking at models and examples. To construct your own use is necessary to understand how things communicate and speak to each other. Consider the big picture always: first sketch the architecture. Speak to Coda about your thoughts is amazing. The culture of Coda is also very supportive.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a certain number of time limits in my business for customers to return details to us. In order to encourage them to remain organized on the right foot, I should build a template that I can share with them. My objective is to get Coda to semi-automatically do all organizational work on its own and analyze the collected data. All without the costly company-level devices which are costly to buy, build and manage.

  ### 41. One Doc to Rule them ALL!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suzun K. | Scrum Master , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The sky is the limit with Coda and what you can do. We use it as our source of truth for all things company-related outside of Jira and AirTable. Build it and they will use it because it's so logical, user-friendly, and ready to please.

Microsoft, Jira and OneNote had a baby: CODA!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Really nothing - they are working hard on some integrations with Jira I want; otherwise they are responsive and eager to find new ways to help the customer.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have migrated from GitBook and Google Docs to using Coda for both and have integrated with Jira to help manage the document and planning aspects of project and product management.

  ### 42. Amazing, sleek tool for all sorts of organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I love the icons that you can use to make different pages have different personalities

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I wish there was a desktop app similar to Notion and other productivity apps.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Coda for all sorts of organization - billing, automated tables, tracking of tasks, collaboration with others, etc.

  ### 43. Great product, amazing community.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The mobile interface that you get out of the box with your Coda doc was a pleasant surprise. The best thing is the intuitiveness of creating formulas in your doc and leveraging the data that you have organized in your doc.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I wouldn't say I like that some basic doc layout capabilities are not there, e.g., column layouts for Pages.

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

Get started!

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No/Low-Code moble/web application prototypes, business dashboards, automated status tracking and email generation, large data tracking/splicing/analysis.

  ### 44. Excellent collaborative tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I love the collaborative and interactive nature of Coda. I can solicit team perspectives, lead a discussion and document next steps, all in one doc.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There's definitely a learning curve for using the tool. I find some of the features tricky to use and don't feel like I've become a power user quite yet.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lots of team collaboration. We also use it to have a single repository for key information (e.g., wiki, all our brand assets, etc)

  ### 45. Still warming up

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The features that I like best include the database structure and the ability to customize.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The database structure and the ability to customize. It's also just...not user-friendly. As much as Coda tries, this software is not intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

Not a bad platform overall but keep a developer handy for reference because its tricky.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far I have solved a problem that originated in a bad data structure. Coda cross-doc feature is useful, but again was clunky to learn.

  ### 46. Great product. Love the flexibility.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It's flexible enough. If it's throwback Thursday, I can create a simple page to mimick Notepad or, if I'm feeling frisky that day, a full-blow project management system with tasks and substasks that will make Microsoft Planner have a run for its money.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

It's really easy to delete data without noticing. More granular locking would be appreciated.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cross-team syncing and project management.

  ### 47. Long-time user, definitely a fan!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nida N. | Head of Product

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda's flexibility and quick-access templates (such as being able to create a readily coded OKR table) are incredible... really speed up set ups

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The interface can be visually congested and difficult to work with compared to the emptiness of a Notion page, particularly for neurodivergent users

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is excellent for centralizing and consolidating research and strategy internally and individually

  ### 48. Great Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I love the pre built templates. It makes Coda more user friendly and is a great way to learn basic templating/code skills.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I don't like how the formulas aren't as intuitive. I still struggle with basic coding to get things automated.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda was great to have as a foundation for our team and really helps organize in a central place. I love how you can integrate packs to be even more central.

  ### 49. Transformed our workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rory C. | Product Manager and Client Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Love that we can integrate Coda with Zapier to connect it out our other software and then create many customized views to track our progress with clients and keep all stakeholders on board!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Cross-doc syncing is not the most effective way to create views, but it is still helpful. I would prefer the opportunity to migrate a source table to a new doc.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have streamlined our process tracking with onboarding clients and keeping internal goals on track.

  ### 50. Great alternative to Confluence and Jira

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

As an alternative to Confluence and Jira, Coda is much easier to use. Connecting tables, charts, etc. is super easy and doesn't require any special coding or use knowledge. We were able to quickly pivot from Atlassian to Coda because it's so user-friendly. The pricing is also much less for our team than what we were paying for Confluence and Jira.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Initially, understanding how documents, tables, etc. connect to one another can take some time, but after a few days of using Coda, it feels like second nature.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our fully-remote team is much more aligned now with all documentation and work product stored within Coda. We also use Coda for product and task management, so we're able to see the work others are doing and how that can impact or inform our own work. All meeting minutes are stored in Coda, so if there is ever a question about what was discussed, we know where to go for the source of truth.
