## Coda Reviews
  ### 1. Coda is fantastic workspace for collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is an incredible tool to build dynamic tables, databases, and wiki pages to enable teams to collaboration. We use Coda every day for tracking roadmap items across dozens of teams and hundreds of stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Coda isn't the smoothest notetaking tool. While Coda is fantastic in generating and maintaining content across tables or wiki-like pages, it's missing some key note taking and automation features that some of its competitors have.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is a fantastic tool for bringing visibility to project status and for tracking hundreds of iniatives in an asynchronus manner.

  ### 2. Effective Workflow Integration but Lacks Refinement and Native Application Support

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Centralized hub for managing our entire team's workflow.
Easy integration with other tools and platforms.
Ability to sync pages and embed external tools.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Overall look and functionality are not as refined as Notion.
Pages periorically get locked, which is frustrating.
Only available as a web application; lacks native apps.
No option to view content as a read-only user, making it difficult to understand the experience from their perspective. Role-based access control (RBAC) on each page or section is unclear.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a centralized platform to store all internal team information, share with cross-functional teams, and embed tools or content from other platforms.

  ### 3. Coda for easy project management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milly S. | Product Development Manager, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Using the automation and rules features, we can create rules that will trigger notifications automatically when particular criteria are reached, such finishing a job or updating a particular document field. We can also link our Coda documents with other platforms we already use in our everyday workflow thanks to its extensive range of integrations with external platforms.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There are no relevant complaints, it is a complete tool for our current needs, it is the kind of all-in-one platform that we like to use.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda helps us by increasing our total productivity and efficiency, from workflow automation to data organization and interaction with other tools.

  ### 4. The best platform ever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Unlike traditional project management tools, Coda operates as a central database, eliminating the need for disparate spreadsheets and fostering streamlined information access. This centralized approach facilitates efficient data organization, retrieval, and analysis. I also love the robust features like the quick views, AI functionality and embed website pages.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Downsides are the lack of formatting options (e,g, text colors) , granular permissions and image editing.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda solves the major hurdle of information fragmentation by acting as a central, unified platform. All project data, from tasks and deadlines to documents and discussions, resides in one accessible location. This eliminates the chaos of searching for scattered information, saving me time and mental energy. Coda's multiple view options allow me to see data in ways that suit my needs. Whether it's a bird's-eye view of project progress on a Kanban board or a detailed task breakdown in a table, I can tailor the information to my current focus.

  ### 5. Easy to use knowledge repository

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Ability to connect various data sources such as Miro, Sheets, Docs, into the platform. You can either link them or have them directly embedded without forcing users to have to login to a different platform.

There are some really interesting automations that you can setup to ensure that to-do's across all meeting notes are clear and on full display so the little details and follow-ups don't fall through the cracks.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The search functionality and folder structure to find other "docs" is a little unclear at this point to me. Perhaps that is user error and not an issue with the platform.

Currently, permissioning is done at a document level and not at a page level. This is a solveable problem, but it's an annoyance.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowledge management. We are trying to use it as a repository of information so things don't get lost within all of our Google Drive foldes.

  ### 6. My thoughts around Coda

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valeria C. | Talent Attraction Analyst, Banking, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

With Coda, it's simple to combine text, tables, and multimedia elements to create dynamic, interactive documents. Likewise, having the option to design personalized forms can make information gathering and administration easier for the team.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Particularly when multiple people are modifying the same document at once, I occasionally feel like the real-time synchronization is not as seamless as I would like.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda makes it possible to create flexible documents that contain text, tables, graphics, and other features all in one location, which promotes better organization. We gain from this since it centralizes data and makes real-time cooperation easier.

  ### 7. Coda to streamline teamwork and optimize projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon R. | Office Manager, Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

We can create unique tools using Coda that include elements like sliders, pivot tables, and buttons, which makes it simple to customize documents to meet our unique demands for teamwork. Also, the ability to create complex workflows with custom formulas and the automation of repetitive tasks allows us to better manage our projects.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The loading speed of larger pages can occasionally be an issue, causing a slowdown in the user experience, and that's something I find inconvenient.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda offers a platform full of collaborative features, such as interactive dashboard creation and task list integration. In addition, real-time collaboration tools, along with advanced formula and custom block features, have elevated our productivity.

  ### 8. Manage your day with Coda

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine M. | Product Manager at MS PRIDE ODISHA FEMININE PRODUCTS , Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I really like that the platform offers me a free plan to determine if it suits my needs I have access to numerous customizable options and a variety of templates. I can use incredible tools such as workflow automation and a formula editor. Additionally, it allows me to create my own custom templates. With its powerful collaboration tool, I Can easily monitor my team’s performance and task assignments. Overall, it offers me comprehensive and efficient solutions for content creation and collaboration. It's integration with other platforms was top notch.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I think the plan is slightly higher expensive compared to other platforms. I find it very difficult to use. I can’t use this on Windows. Additionally, I think providing cloud storage facilities would enhance the experience and allow for easy access to files on any device. I find bugs on the website and it is very slow I can’t import documents from other platforms. It is not optimized for mobile users, making it difficult to navigate on a mobile phone. It may not be ideal for graphics-intensive work compared to other platforms. The customer support was really lazy at times while contacting.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the management platform best for me who are in search of creating different types of files, such as spreadsheets, databases documents, and many more. I am glad that I use this platform with my team members for my company work. I was able to customize temples according to my needs, create files, and many more. It is a great platform for small to medium enterprises like ours.

**Reviewed by:** Yue Z. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2023

I really like how comprehensive the feature offering in coda is. In the beginning I was skeptical given all kinds of notebook app all comes out together in a short sprint but eventually realized that coda is fully functional, has extensive support and solves lots of real problem in workspaces. One example is that I've been using it as a collaborative knowledge base that allow everyone in the company to conbribute too. Spending time learing coda really can speed up some misc daily tasks.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Some of the features need more simplification, like when I simply try to create a table to organize my ideas, I always have trouble.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Collaborate note taking.
- Easily setup a public code base that allow peoplo to contribute to.
- Many integration options available.

Nothing that pops out immediately , may more template for product strategies would be helpful.

It allows me to track my OKR including strategies, roadmap. One place to look for everything.

  ### 11. Coda is Everything We Wanted and More!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda organizes our documentation; makes it bright and colorful with cover images and icons; keeps the formatting simple and easy to use; and provides relational tables that make searching for documentation a breeze. Coda's customer support is excellent; they are knowledgeable, open to new ideas, and provide easy contact and amazing responsiveness. I use Coda everyday -- our company loves it so much everyone wants to use it. Coda also integrates with so many other platforms that we use, making it the perfect choice for our documentation. We've already started training our teams, and because Coda is so intuitive, they are off to the races with it after just an hour of training. The buttons are another thing we use constantly to connect our documentation with other relevant documentation. Highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I wish I could quickly alphabetize my documents in a particular Doc.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is helping us create and maintain a single source of truth documentation database for our company, allowing us to locate all documentation needed quickly; eradicate duplicate documents; organize our documentation in a way that makes sense, and connect to existing documentation that must live in other applications. Coda is also allowing us to bring in views of other information from applications we use regularly across the company, and organizing it for quick reference.

**Reviewed by:** Shruti S. | Content Writer and Podcast Host, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is a great platform that has helped me tremendously by being updated with every new tasks and projects given to me by providing a task updater. It's to-do lists helps me in knowing the pending tasks. Its other features has helped me a lot as well professionally so it is a great platform to use.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Coda lacks few integration techniques and features. For example, I wanted to upload certain documents from Google Drive and other storage platforms such as Box and Dropbox but was unable to do so seamlessly and cycle around a long process.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda has been a pleasure and a true delight to use in every field of mine, ranging from professional to personal. Coda provides tons of features that are really helpful in making my notes, being updated with daily tasks and works, and a lot more. So in terms of being updated and staying up to mark, Coda has helped our organization tremendously by letting us create a group and collaborate with each other on various tasks together.

  ### 13. Coda: The tracking and improvement tool for my day-to-day life

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vaiibhav T. | Content writer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

What's better than having a tool for tracking each and every deed of your day to day life and keep a track of it than Coda. Coda has tons of features that has helped me in being a better version of myself. It features like To-do lists helps me in performing effectively and doing my pending tasks, its expense tracker tool has helped me in significantly decreasing unrequired expenses and save more, its focus timer has helped me in increasing my focus and sit to work for more duration. Its benefits are numerous and can't be described in a single-go. It has truly benefitted me personally.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

At times when I am busy and forget to organize the documents, Coda does not automatically organize the documents as well as the content stored in the documents. Doing this would have helped me really. To improve my professional field, I decided to integrate it with other platforms like Zapier and more but the integration flexibility of the platform as for me was not up to the mark.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is truly an exceptional and useful platform not only for enterprises but also for individuals out there, who are looking to optimize their day-to-day tasks and work. Coda has tons of features and functions like to-do lists and more that helps me in keeping a track of the tasks I need to perform as well as notify my team about the pending and upcoming tasks. The expense tracker feature not only helps me in keeping a track of my personal expenses but also my operating expenses as well. I used this to calculate the expenses incurred while organizing an event, and keep it within my budget. The final outcome of the expense tracker and its analysis, and the original expenses are same and truly efficient. So overall, Coda has been a game changer for me professionally and personally.

  ### 14. The Best Everyday Task Management Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rudraksh P. | General partner at DHRUTIK INFOTECH PVT. LTD., Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I love that Coda comes with a free plan for users to decide if to take a subscription or not. I could create any content I desired easily with various templates and customizable features and options. This software provides many useful features such as workflow automation, formula editor, and many more which have helped me increase my productivity and save a lot of time. I also like the Coda because it shows me my entire team's performance on a single dashboard so that I can monitor it easily.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I found the subscription plan to be pricey and not worth the money. The usage was also not smooth, the user interface had lots of bugs and was laggy. I was expecting a good storage facility to store my files but I was disappointed. The software also takes a lot of time to boot which I find very annoying. It is not optimized for mobile and android devices which limits the number of tasks one can do on them.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I generally use Coda to manage my projects and monitor my team's performance. It also helps me to manage daily tasks. I also find it very useful for document creation and editing and for notes. Sometimes I even conduct surveys on Coda.

  ### 15. Coda: Task manager's favorite tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swastik M. | Marketing and Security Analyst, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

My organization has various departments with complex tasks to be performed by every department, so it is difficult to keep a track of every department and the progress done by them. So to tackle this situation I came up with Coda which helped me in assigning and managing almost each and every tasks, projects and more seamlessly and showcase my role as a manager. So for workflow management Coda has been a truly exceptional platform for me. I also write in important notes and set out clear objectives for my team.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I was really disaapointed when I went through its subscription planning which I thought would be really affordable for me, but unfortunately it was not. The ability to import documents and files from third part platforms was not well optimized as I was not to do so seamlessly. Sometimes we need to perform some tasks that are really graphics focused, but Coda is not the best platform for doing so.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda has been a truly fascinating platform for me in terms of managing my team and their progress, so for me it is truly one of my favorite tools to play with. The ease of doing is what according to me distinguishes Coda from other management platforms. The smooth and easy to adapt to interface was what made it easy for me to know each and every feature of its such as OKR, carry out surveys and more. I was able to connect and increase the efficiency of my team many folds, all thanks to this platform. So overall this platform has been a real piece of delight for me.

  ### 16. The best of the best!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bojan P. | Ambassador, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is so much more than a Doc in an app! Every project I have worked on is like an actual small App within Coda! You can basically use it for small and large-scale projects. You can integrate it with 3rd part apps, you can connect it via the API with different stuff from Open AI to many other apps. One of the best parts would be Coda packs.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Everything (on the functional side works perfectly) although as a user I'd suggest the Coda team look into background colour changes and customisation regarding the design of pages and subpages.
However, the best part: there is CodaCommunity with a Suggestion Box where users can share all of this and Coda team takes these things into consideration sooner rather than later.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is so much more than a Doc in an app!
I create different types of Coda tools for nonprofits and SMEs: from business automation to building monitoring and evaluation systems for their projects. Some of the publically available Coda docs are here:

  ### 17. Work day life management and tracking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhaval P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The best thing about Coda software is that it gives and provides a free trial of the platform for all to test it properly before purchasing it.
The refresh rate of the software is amazing, it updates the latest details of the work and projetcs on the portal so quickly and with accurate details.
Also it reminds about the deadline of the project and about the remaining tasks also. This is the best feature of it.
With this it was so easy to create and import the documents for future also, teh docs saved in this are accessible at any time.
So easy to collaborate with all our team members and let us to do the work in groups. As many people can be added in this portal.
There are number of good scale of features on this available for smooth and amazing workflow.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The plans of the software are quite expansive and needs to pay extra if you require the advaced features which are not included in the plan of it. This makes unaffordable for small business runners and enterprises.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documents preparation for our projects , online meetings and for the official doc preparation also is software has helped us alot to do our work easily. Its helping us to manage our team data and the tasks details all at one place. Centralised our data procurement and document creation work.

  ### 18. Why Coda changes the way you approach work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raphael A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Just about how powerful the software can be!
It's adapted to the way my team works and how the company works, we've been able to build Sprint Systems off of this.
Integrating Coda into other sources of data such as Hubspot has been a great help as well.
The entire company uses this every day, and we're built off of Coda practically!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I would so that Coda's most recent update has created a rift for users. -- That being you need to be a Doc Maker yourself to add and manage Pages in a Doc -- as Pages themselves can be as powerful as Docs.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility over team workload.
Communication between different teams.

  ### 19. An incredibly versatile tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The limit is truly only your imagination. As long as you can accurately describe your challenges, and you can translate them into formulas, you will have a solution.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Its sharing settings could be much more granular. Currently, we're facing issues on this level and locking/unlocking is just isn't a feasible and scalable workaround.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can run our program's whole operation on it and it truly made us as agile as it gets. It sped up our workflows. And it allows us to constantly iterate on our setup.

  ### 20. Excellent organizer for my workflow

Organizing the elements of my work and keep everything in an organized format

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There are some restrictions as per the plan like the size of data that i can push on a single page

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing my knowledge base, easilt sharing the information to my peers, documenting the processes

  ### 21. Better docs

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manas A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

Ability to make dynamic docs today change based on date.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Lacks some diagrams like funnel which can be used to provide better information

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am about to build docs with more enhanced features like cover page. It makes my docs look more interactive

  ### 22. Coda - Turning Spreadsheeters Into Developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It perfectly merges Docs w/ Apps allowing us to build tools that would normally require a developer.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

It's hard to teach people to become power users

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing us to build more streamlined processes and reporting while also improving documentation.

  ### 23. Coda: Day to day task management made smooth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suyash M. | Operations Head at MS PRIDE ODISHA FEMININE PRODUCTS ( LOVISSA ), Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda has one of the best interfaces according to me in the field of task and project management. It had tons of customizable options which let me use it to optimum level for assigning each and every work to my team and manage the workflow as well.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Coda can be slightly complicated for the new users to learn and adapt as it was for me in the start. The third party integration of the platform is slightly on the lower side, I wanted to import several of my documents from other sources but was unable to.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is one of the best management platforms for the leaders out there who are in a search for creating different types of files, such as spreadsheets, database related documents and a lot more. My experience with this platform in terms of fulfilling my needs, create files and everything has been absolutely great and satisfying.

  ### 24. Great all in one management app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Helena N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I like the flexibility of Coda and how you can create docs and pages to show essentially anything you want. Great for large teams who need to show a lot of different information

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Extremely powerful but unless you have someone who is familar with coding it can be tricky to set up formulas and automations

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we needed a whole knowledge management software to help organize our information best

  ### 25. Perfect tool for makes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Istvan P. | Board Member, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The elegant way to combine wiki and database functionality combined with an easy to lean and easy to use Coda formula language. The on boardig is exeptional with use case focused newsletters and one minute videos. The Gallery is full of nice examples you can copy freely. The licencing is outstanding compared to any direct competitors (like Notion or Airtable), because you pay only for the maker. I use Coda in a project with more than 100 users an pay less than 400 USD a year.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Coda has limitless integration possibility with API and Packs, but to develop a Pack is far more difficult than to write a formula. It is still using JavaScript with no contextual help like when writing a CODA formula.

The other weak area is monetization. Coda offers affiliate program, but it is buggy and the workflow is very akward.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Finding information - It is a one stop shop for all information we use in the project.
2. Alwas use the correct data - by referencing to KPI, objective all information is consistant.
3. Remote work dinamics - using ingteractive tools our remote meetings become more valuable
4. see only the relevan information - with smart filters and User() function we see only what we need
5. differt user groups needs different presentation - developers use Jira with Jira pack, product managers use Kanban view, PMs use table and GANNT

  ### 26. A very strong competitor to Notion

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

It perhaps is not for individual use and is mostly meant for collaboration and teams.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we have very scattered documentation, we look to get it sorted and organized in Coda. Most of the non-tech team members find it very easy to use.

Many options for automation allow for quicker work and outputs

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The flexibility it provides in document creation.

I think it's not as complete as other tools like Notion yet, but in terms of price, it's much more affordable.

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Very easy to use, much more fun. Easy import from Confluence

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Tables editing is not so great, had times I needed to destroy the table in order to be able to delete it.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A place to communicate with easy edit and referencing for knowledge sharing with technical and non-technical teams

  ### 32. User friendly, structured doc making capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chiranshu A. | Strategy and operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The ability to structure the doc with pages, sub-pages, collapsible headers, etc.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Not so user friendly to format text / structure of tables. A lot of time we end up putting screenshots of excels instead of using Coda tables for data representation

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps create easy to read docs for meetings, that can be shared in advance for more effective outcomes during the meeting

  ### 33. A little up front work gives you the world

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda solves the problem of managing multiple different work streams (meeting manageement, note taking management, project/product/program management, task management) in one place, for different customers and for internal usage.

  ### 34. Updates are making Coda more and more amazing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafaella F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is a super flexible software that allows you to create and share information between the entire organization in a number of ways. The possibility of using formulas customized for your needs is what makes it even more amazing. Already used it for a number of reasons: team kanban, communication calendar, documentation, campaign history, etc. Truly amazing.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

At first sight, Coda seems to be a bit tricky to use. You can, of course, use the basic settings and templates, but the really charming part of Coda relies on the formulas and custom set ups that aren't really user friendly if you're not a little bit familiar with some coding/liquid logic writing.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is amazing for putting together team ecosystems where you can gather information from different areas in a single place and, thus, share knowledge between different people from the company. We use the tool to put together shared information, wiki files from the company and planning our overall strategy for our day to day work.

  ### 35. Great multi-purpose tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I love that Coda is like LEGO. I can do most anything I want with it through a combination of formulas, relational databases, custom packs, and automations. The Coda support team is amazing and super helpful!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There are some limitations in moving between rows from different tables not allowing you to go back to the previous row. Other than that, most inconveniences are minor or features that don't exist yet.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the issue of stale data and the spread of information.

  ### 36. Like docs - but superpowered

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Integrating & referencing other docs is so easy to do and tables make things so much more flexible.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The very rich feature set actually makes some simple things a little bit more complicated.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

being able to reference other docs and tables

  ### 37. Great Tool - geared for automation and scalability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alignement on company priorities accross the different Product and Eng teams

  ### 38. Good for managing Docs & Content

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivam A. | Content Manager at AiSensy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Best thing about Coda is it's easy to use interface and features such as intercative doc editor that allows me to add content seamlessly and organize it in multiple rows, columns for a neat presentation.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There's not much to dislike about the software given that it's purpose is to contain important organization docs across marketing & coding team.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Coda for maintaining day-to-day docs including blogs, marketing plan. It is also used by the tech team as a means to maintain multiple docs for internal usage.

  ### 39. Excel-like tool for streamlining complex workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The possibility to implement any set up that is required

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Complexity of the tool, Coda is not the most intuitive system

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is solving the problem of having my documentation and task tracking in different tools.

  ### 40. Coda

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It's a great place to do many processes across teams as well as your own workspace.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Sometimes it's hard to find/understand certain features

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves documentation. Our company is fully remote so documentation is key.

  ### 41. Amazing living documents

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The breadth of integrations is second to none. This allows my documents to be dynamic and constant evolving.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The amount of tools available within coda can be overwhelming at first.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One stop shop for all internal stakeholders (no more updating 3 different sheets)

  ### 42. Overall easy to use documentation tool!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brianna T. | Associate Product Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It's easy to start working in Coda. Ease of use in general is very high with Coda. You can easily create or remove pages & subpages, change text formatting, add tables, and import many of the most common types of documents. The ability to set an icon for the page and a cover image allows each page to stand out and makes it easier to know at a glance what kind of page you're on. It's also incredibly easy to collaborate within Coda, with multiple people able to seamlessly interact with and change items together.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The tables are probably my least favorite part of Coda. If you're using a template table, sometimes you can mess up your view by adding a new row and that formatting is just annoying. I also do not like how the calendar integrations & notifications work. It's really confusing to try to figure out how to do it in the first place and then just having it send out notifications at a certain time is also annoying to set up.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Probably the largest issue that Coda is solving is creating a one-stop-shop for our whole team to document, collaborate, and discuss, across all departments. Our developers are using Coda to track their technical initiatives, domain knowledge, and other important technical information. Design and Product are using Coda to document research, Discovery, and other artifacts as part of development. The ability to link to many kinds of documents means that we can have a single page on say a specific feature and FAQs, Murals, Google Meet recordings about that feature, etc. can all live on one page.

  ### 43. A solid platform for sales people

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

We use coda to organise the features of different SKU's and it does so in an easy to view way

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

i feel overall the platform could be more intuitive. it's not easy to pick up from scratch

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used another provider that was expensive, i believe. But coda is mainly used to store all features and functionality of different products

  ### 44. Makes life easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Love being able to collaborate easily with my colleauges

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Hard to set up automations and formulas.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowledge base source of truth internally. Collaborative priority ranking.

  ### 45. Another documentation tool.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda's design and inbuilt options are good, not that they are available in others. The dark mode is really good in coda compared to craft or notion. I didn't felt anything best from coda that's not there with others.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The exporting options are not well. The pagenation has serious problems. Sharing file directly from coda is very unreliable. It has very very limited performance or markdown importing is not possible. Its Plugin or Extensions ecosystem is not good.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for options for a centralised documentation system our team come and collaborate. We needed very versatile and openly integrated platform but have a very opiniated design. Although this has a opiniated design it lacks at other things.

  ### 46. Coda is quite robust and efficient for documentation and collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The organization and capabilities of Coda. It makes documentation, planning, reviews and task tracking quite easy

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There is nothing really to dislike about Coda

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is trying to solve issues around documentation, knowledge base and task tracking. This is really beneficial to me as it helps keep record of activities and updates.

  ### 47. The only doc you'd need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishan A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Limited set of highly used features ensures you keep focus on the writing.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Nothing I can think of to be honest.....

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is helping me create and maintain documentation really well.

  ### 48. Coda is a great all in one enviroment to do pratically all you want

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The simplicity of coda added to the customization that you can do is the best thing. Packs and formulas permit you to do whatever you want inside coda, from simple calculations to complex integration with other apps.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I wish that more permissions levels could exist for editors, without needing more doc makers.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an all-in-one place permitting various types of integration between data and users.

  ### 49. DIY Documents

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Serg V. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I started using Coda back in 2021, and I chose it over Notion as its reviews and tutorials showed a more customizable solution to build a personal knowledge hub.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I didn't find a particular feature that I disliked; the issue I found that applies to all the tools that allow you to create hyper-personalized documents is that I ended up spending way too much time tweaking these documents instead of actually being more productive.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted a centralized knowledge base that I could assemble in a way that was intuitive to my way of thinking and working. The idea is to have a repository of best practices, SOPs, ideas, and projects that help me keep on top of things without constantly switching between apps.

  ### 50. Great tool for team collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrienne D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I really like how easily searchable Coda makes all added resources. The collapsable sections make it simple to find the sections you are searching for and drill down into the specific information you need.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I wish the formatting options for texts and inserting images was better. Formatting text to strikethrough, be a different font, ect, is not as intuitive as other tools and inserting images/other media into a Coda section is not easily done.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda allows our leadership team to collaborate on projects, set meeting agendas, assign a rotation of ongoing tasks, and input knowledge resources for our team and share them out to our team easily. Coda is an easy knowledge resource to keep updated and current when processes and workflows change
