## Coda Reviews
  ### 1. Customizable, Yet Limited for Scalability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tara B. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I thought it was a great system when we were using it and I'm sure it has improved a lot. At the time, it was a powerhouse for all that it could achieve, and we probably only scratched the surface. I like the various ways you could set it up to work for you. Being able to create an asset and then set it up in a distribution plan was really helpful. It also created message IDs for us, which was beneficial for sourcing the asset later on. We integrated Coda with Make, which added to its utility.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

We stopped using it as a project management tool because we didn't find it met the needs for scalability reasons. At the time, it felt more like an asset management tool. We probably could have re-worked the setup, but it seemed like a big task, so we ended up moving to Wrike.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda solved project management, scheduling distribution plans, and asset management for us, integrating well with Google Drive via Make. It impressed with flexibility and the ability to create and organize assets with unique message IDs, simplifying sourcing later.

  ### 2. Flexible, Living Docs That Make Product Management Easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda does a very good job of building living, very flexible documents in a number of ways where you can actually get work done inside them. Interactive, linked tables, kanban boards, and other interconnected things which make product management easier.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Bit of a learning curve; the way that "authors" work is complex and can be annoying: I'm rarely in the system as an editor, so it's not worth paying for a license, but it means I can make no new pages.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We track a lot of complex feature requests and other considerations over multiple projects. This helps us visually see where things are at, link to other artifacts, and build impressive deliverables for clients.

  ### 3. Extremely Powerful Table Tool with Deep Integrations and Customization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark T. | Design Engineer (Systems Integration Lead), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Extremely powerful table tool with a huge amount of integrations and customization available.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Customizations of the UI are limited. ie. Would prefer to be able to show/hide grid lines in any given table/view to be able to view the seperation of information easier.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Process automation, information transfer

  ### 4. Coda’s All-in-One Workspace Makes Custom Workflows Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Osmely V. | Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Coda?**

What I like best about Coda is how it combines documents, spreadsheets, and apps into one flexible workspace making it easy to build customized workflows without needing multiple separate tools

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

What I dislike about Coda is that its flexibility and powerful building blocks can make the learning curve steeper for new users, especially if you’re trying to set up more advanced formulas or interactive features.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda addresses the problem of juggling too many disconnected tools—documents, spreadsheets, project trackers, wikis, and more—by bringing those capabilities into a single, customizable workspace. For me, that means less tool overload, more centralized information, and the ability to build tailored workflows or trackers without constantly switching apps. It saves time and helps keep my work more organized.

  ### 5. Spreadsheet-Like Clarity, but a Steep Learning Curve and Tricky Search

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I like that it is similar visually to a spreadsheet so that I am able to holistically see a lot of information in one place and without scrolling too much.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Coda is very challenging to learn and often a little more difficult to place things/search for what I am needed across teams

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is a one stop shop for all cross functional teams, so it's nice to have info for several projects in one place

**Official Response from Natalia K:**

  ### 6. Coda Review - Longterm user

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan C. | AI Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda brings flexibility and structure together - docs, data, and workflows all in one place. I like how it replaces multiple tools while staying intuitive. Real-time collaboration, automations, and connected tables make organizing and executing projects seamless and efficient. It also allows users to connect data and make interactive charts.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Permissions have become overly restrictive. Coda used to make collaboration effortless, but now managing access is frustrating. Sharing and editing with teammates feels cumbersome, reducing the real-time interactivity and openness that once made Coda stand out. Nowadays, it is not as easy as it was which WAS Coda's biggest advantage.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was an easy tool to collaborate with multiple people, assign tasks and monitor the deadlines. I was using it for project charts, tracking the roadmap and project status and storing meeting artifacts.

**Official Response from Yuliia Z:**

> Hi Stefan,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback and for being a longtime Coda user. We’re really glad to hear that you’ve found value in Coda’s flexibility and how it helps bring docs, data, and workflows together.

We’re sorry to hear about your recent experience with permissions and collaboration. Your comments are incredibly helpful, and we’ve shared them with our product team for review.

We truly appreciate your continued support and for helping us make Coda better.

Kind regards,
Coda Support Team

  ### 7. All-in-One Organization with Powerful Features, But Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

What I like best about Coda is how it combines documents, spreadsheets, and workflows into one flexible platform. As an account manager, I love being able to centralize project plans, client notes, and performance tracking all in one place. The customizable templates and automation features save a lot of time, and the ability to collaborate in real time keeps everyone aligned and accountable. It’s a powerful tool for keeping teams organized and clients informed.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

What I dislike about Coda is that the learning curve can be a bit steep at first, especially when setting up advanced formulas or automations. It takes some time to fully grasp all the features and possibilities.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is solving the problem of scattered information and disconnected workflows. It brings all my client data, project timelines, and performance metrics together in one centralized workspace. This integration eliminates the need to switch between multiple tools, saving time and reducing errors. It also makes collaboration smoother - everyone on the team can access up-to-date information, track progress, and contribute to shared goals, ultimately improving client satisfaction and productivity.

  ### 8. Outstanding Experience with This Incredible Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle N. | Planner Scheduler, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is customizable software based on your needed management tool without the need of complicated traditional coding. You can collaborate your spreadsheet, link and integrate Project Management tool (in my case Asana), automate and make rules out of your Coda tool. It's a very powerful collaboration!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

What I would like to improve with coda is to enhance its visual graphics and icon for a more user-friendly experience. The tool is limited in a table form view.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda has been very helpful in making our Project management more efficient. It saves us time from shifting to a Management tool to a spreadsheet because of it automation features as well.

  ### 9. Coda is the best platform for tasks and collboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip H. | Senior Security Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I really appreciate the user interface of Coda and how simple it is to begin new projects and set up layouts. It allows me to quickly get projects underway, monitor their progress, and easily see who is involved with each one.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I haven't encountered any drawbacks to using this platform.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is currently supporting us with a company-wide project that involves collaboration among multiple teams across the organization. Its collaboration features make it simple to bring people together for joint work on this project, and the views function allows us to manage as much complexity as we need.

  ### 11. An Allrounder doc that replaces apps , spreadsheets etc.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhijeet A. | Assistant System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Its a superhero blend of spreadsheets , Excel and notion as well.
It just perfect for task planning and project management as well.
Don't even need coding knowledge to implement tables and formulas.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Just the learning curve , takes time to get used to it.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This app is great for tracking personal goals and journaling. Since I started using it, I feel much more organized. It has also made it easier for me to manage my lightweight projects.

  ### 12. My heart is divided between Coda and my other fave

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel C. | Director of Product Marketing, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Super flexible
Integrates with everything
Kind to less technical people but robust for more technical people
And, the list goes on

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I'm not a huge fan of the navigation and it's my other fave that would win in that department.
I really wish the built-in automations were more robust and included more than just triggers and actions related to tables.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is used for internal knowledge sharing. Coda has in particular been an EXCELLENT center for management of our deep PMF research, helping me very efficiently connect between various databases while evaluating our data and making decisions. I will add that I'm really excited to see what happens next with Coda now that Grammarly has stepped in.

  ### 13. It's SO Good

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bradley S. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The possibilities. It seems like you can do anything and I've been able to create docments that to pretty amzing things.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The canvas layout options. They are so limited and ugly. I never use any of them except the basic one because they just aren't functional. For example, why can't a canvas field be inside a column and not full width? Why can't I add multiple fileds to a single column to make better use of canvas real estate?

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing us to create custom project management solutions that align to our customer and project types.

  ### 14. Coda for Project and Task tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennisse A. | Mortgage Loan Processor, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda has a user-friendly interface which makes it easy to build customizable documents and tables. I've used other tool such as Notion and it's comparable in terms of having more advanced functionality, specifically, it's highly interactive and flexible that it allows me to use automation, formula, and other controls when streamlining workflows. Additionally, it offers more native integration and can pull in live data or push updates to other apps without complex setup.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

It would be a game-changer if Coda had a desktop app.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It acts as our sharepoint and one knowledge base until we had to start using Notion as well.

a steep learning curve for complex features, performance issues with larger documents, a high cost for advanced features, and a lack of polish in specific areas like the mobile experience and formatting options

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team uses a variety of tools—such as separate applications for notes, project tracking, and spreadsheets—leading to disjointed workflows and a single source of truth that is difficult to maintain. Coda helps solve this by serving as a central hub for all team information and processes.

I love the visual organization that Code offer. It is easy to organize info and put them into a friendly structure.

OKRs organization and documentation to share among my company. Also to share as Knowledge Base.

  ### 26. A Good App to start with your document management

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tushar J. | Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The fetures included in Pro version are sufficient for a user and they are really creative

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The pricing be on the lower side, it feels they are charging 2x with compared to others

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As they have 30 days version history it is useful for me to refer to my earlier thoughts. The use of AI is also an added benifit for me. THe best feature is they have hidden pages which makes life eadsy for me.

  ### 27. Relational Info/Memory Mapping Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aastha M. | Engineer - Platform Team (Developer Experience), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

From my experience, I really like it's powerful tabular relation capabilities, Esp lookups amongst other standard features like filter /search, etc & it's allowing for embed forms of content in multi levels. I find it useful as it consolidates my need for Sheets+Notion sort of functionalities

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I feel as compared to competitive tools in same space, It's usability /UI feels a bit unintuitive or complex, maybe can take inspiration from industry consolidated features

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly use it for lightweight note-taking which involves a bit of tabular relational data requiring references.

  ### 28. A complex but useful tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lara T. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Coda?**

It has tons of possibilities. You can write documentation, create (complex) tables, create pages inside pages, mention people and pages, integrate with miro, google sheets/docs/etc, insert images, links... I think it is the most complete tool I have ever used.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Some features and possibilities are not very clear and intuitive. Although the interface is very user-friendly, you have to figure out how to use certain functions. Like when you 'mention' data from a table on another table and then you cannot edit it because it is from a different table, and then you have to look for that table on every page and subpage until you find it and edit the content you want.

**Recommendations to others considering Coda:**

Take time to discover all the possibilities coda has. It's worth it.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My documentation is now kept all in the same place. It made it easier for other teams in the company to remain updated. It's also a resource everyone can always reach anytime, which is easier because they don't need to ask my team or me for the information they can find there.

  ### 29. Best customizable collaborative boards

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I loved the flexibility of building .. its like having an interactive and collaborative sheet but in a fancy design with AI

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Permissions to.users sometimes are not so.easy to understand

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's perfect in roadmapping

All the features and wiki styling and templates available

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I don;t think there is anything that i don't like in coda

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help organise different project documentation in one place

  ### 31. Love Coda, but especially love to see it improve!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I like the ease of use. It's fundamentally changed the way we communicate. And new features are added regularly (usually the ones we want).

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There's a bit of a learning curve for new team members.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is our Knowledge Base, not only for our internal department but for every team that interfaces with us. It's great to be able to share a doc instead of schedule a meeting when a cross-functional teammate has an FAQ.

  ### 32. The Savior of Our Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas M. | Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

We can run our ministry, teach classes, and operate our own homeschool and household all through coda. It is the most versatile system I have ever encountered. The coding language is intuitive, and I feel that there are practically no limits to what I can do.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I can develop functional apps using coda.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a learning manangement system, I needed a system for organizing our books, I needed a system that could allow us to interact with our donors, our members, and everyone else, and Coda does it all. I am able to build websites through it, and I am able to run all my personal projects through it far better than the filing system of google docs or onedrive.

  ### 33. Great product but some anti competitive practices

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I love it's collaborative knowledge base

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I dislike the lack of cross-compatibility with industry standard markdown, which would have allowed me to do more.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's is solving the problem of cloud synced sharable note taking and knowledge base. Helping make my life easier by ensuring everyone is on same page

  ### 34. An incredible platform to increase productivity and build anything

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle C. | Senior Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is a completely customizable platform that allows versatility to create a solution that exactly fits your needs. Whether it's managing projects, capturing product feedback, generating documentation or collaborating across teams, coda can be built into anything you need at a price that is an exceptional value.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I have no true dislikes for Coda, the platform delivered in every area I'd hoped.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Created a collaborative environment to discuss product ideas, and provided a flexible solution to give multiple teams the ability to create their own knowledge bases.

  ### 35. A Game-Changer for Developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash Sai R. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I've been using Coda for over a year now, and it's been a revelation. As a developer, I've tried numerous tools for project management, note-taking, and collaboration, but Coda has become my go-to solution. Here's why:

The Good is Flexible and Customizable, All-in-One Workspace, Collaboration and various tools integratgion, super fast loading ..

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

whenever I Mobile app open it shows signup, screen and Requesting to develop PC app .

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blog content Managment .. , Docs !! saving docs in structureed with you can solve anything in the tech world ..

  ### 36. How Coda help centralized fragmented information

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geneviève T. | Senior Digital Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is quite a simple tool in terms of learning curve, with incredible potential to keep all information centralized for team and client.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I could suggest different roles and pricing point beyond Doc Maker, and also more visibility into each AI credit spend.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project information can easily get lost, between long docs and different format - Coda allow us to keep it all in one place + create quick tasks.

  ### 37. Good Stuff

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhiman S. | Software Engineer 2 - Backend, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I can write my ideas in a professional, structured format.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The lack of direct cross-compatibility with Industry-standard Markdown. As a software inspired by Markdown, it is a shame it does not allow for direct import from and export to Markdown (even if certain capabilities would not be translatable to Markdown).

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Central repository of knowledge
2. Easily sharable to colleagues
3. Supports direct integration of lots of common tools

  ### 38. I have learned to love Coda.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I have the option to embed documents if I don't feel like creating one.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I guess just the learning curve. I feel like I still need to learn more.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping all docs in one place.

  ### 39. Huge fan!! Im running all my core information processes via Coda these days

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miks V. | Product Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Think of all the times excel was not good enough and a native app or website was an overkill. That's where it comes in perfectly! I can build what is effectivly a small web-app just using tables and simple javascript-like functions. In other words, it is super easy to start and implement a new idea/ information system to get it up and running,

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Performance at scale. It notably starts to struggle with large data sets and many calculations put in place.
We've had to kill Coda docs that contain multiple thousands of somwhat simple entries (10 columns, one of which an image. No advanced calculations or functions), because they started to crash on load.

End-users often complain about the UI/UX of the system when its presented as an app. On pop-ups they ask where is save & close or go-back buttons and while there are workarounds for that they are all a bit ackward.
But people tend to forget that what they are looking at is a database table, for which the UI is absolutly amazing. Unfortunately that is not how people think, they expect an amazing and inuitive UI when I give them modular pop-up views to work with.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create transparency and commitment. Able to faciliate and lock in decisions, because they can be easily recorded with a button-press sign-off, reorded in a sub-table.
So it helps to organize and structure the most important busines topics like Goals, OKRs, Programs, Portfolio.

  ### 40. I love coda use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I like the document organization, templates, writing experience and it is easy to use

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

The history change in documents and pages.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have all company documentation, teams, process and knoledge base documented

  ### 41. Amazing in general, nevertheless unintuitive with some basic features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I love the balance of easiness and complexity for implementing great pages that can suit any need we have had so far. It has great connectors like Google Maps help to create complex things very easily.

Customizations are easy to use with the formulas and allow to add a granular level of user experience that makes it feel very friendly for our everyday use.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Some basic features feels unintuitive, for example the tables are pretty confusing, I had to check a lot of Coda tips videos to understand how to use it at the level desired, so it was hard to integrate in some documents I created.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allow us to have a single document that suits all neeeds for the different teams when working on huge global projects that require a huge level of documentation and collaboration. It really help us to integrate all of it an a single endpoint.

  ### 42. Automate anything, keep your teams in sync

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua B. | Product Manager - Consumer Platform, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

As a Product Manager, Coda is my most valuable daily-use internal tool. Think of it as a combination of a Google Doc, Excel Spreadsheet, Airtable, Asana, and Zapier that helps you nail collaboration and communication - especially if you are a distributed team. Some critical use cases we've used Coda for: portfolio management and project progress visibility for the entire company, design system documentation and requests for changes/bug reporting, team project management and roadmap planning, team standup/meeting facilitation and note taking. Because of the flexibility of Coda and the sheer number of "Packs" (read: integrations) with 3rd party tools, your team is limited only by your imagination. With all that power, you'd think implementation would be a beast, but it isn't! Even complex features like custom formulas are made brutally easy to configure, thanks partly to the excellent community forums and verbose documentation.

Given its simplicity and power, I would not be surprised if founders build entire products using Coda; it's just that flexible of a platform. And if you get stuck, their support team is ready and willing to share TONS of examples of how other product teams use Coda to solve your problems.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Documentation, in general, is a tough business problem because it's only as good as the time you spend to create it and maintain it. While Coda can remove the walls between tools to truly centralize knowledge and prevent your team from recreating information to live in a different location, Coda's value to your org will depend heavily on whether your team leans into exploiting that capability. Since there are so many ways to approach solving a specific problem (like portfolio/project roadmap management) within Coda, it can be overwhelming to understand the "correct" way to do something.

Performance can also be a concern. As you continue to leverage more and more packs, integrations, two-way sync tables, and more, you'll find the experience to be a bit slower and a bit more error-prone. In fact, our team can't use Coda on our mobile devices because of our doc size and complexity. That said, if you are encountering these issues, your adoption is so significant that you are easily achieving a substantial ROI, which could be more good than bad.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda is our one-stop shop tool for solving collaboration and coordination problems as an org. Today we use Coda for a wide variety of use cases, such as:
- Portfolio Management
- Company roadmap visibility
- Design System Documentation
- Team Ritauls and Meeting Notes
- Request and Bug Reporting
- Communication automation
- Knowledge management

  ### 43. Transformed our processes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsie L. | Senior Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda has allowed us to be aligned as a team with the many things we are managing and has absolutely transformed our processes, making everything so much smoother. Every time we go, do you think we can do this in Coda? We mess around with it and find out we can!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There are none, Coda is amazing. It has been easy to implement and for the team to pickup. I wish there was more of a community and template marketplace like with Notion but I think it's getting there.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have so much information in so many different places. As a senior marketing manager in a company with over 120 assets that each included many marketing campaigns to be managed, I was constantly toggling between tabs to find out information and double checking for correctness. Now all of the information we need to track is in one place, we are all referencing the same thing, there is so much transparency on our team and we are so much more efficient and effective.

  ### 44. The flexible tool for just about anything!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cody S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda as a platform is extremely customizable and enables functionality that is lacking in other document platforms by merging all of the types into a singular type: A doc.

The team is continuously providing new quality-of-life updates and changes to make the system function even better.

I start just about every problem or project with a Coda doc, it's my go-to tool for getting things done.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There are limits to numbers of rows that may require external database configuration. Some configurations for very specific use cases are not quite set-up yet, but changing over time.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda helps provide a consisent experience that is extremely configurable to solve the variety of business problems at hand. It allows me to quickly create a solution that doesn't have to deal with implementation, security settings, or the purchase of an entirely separate tool. I can start with Coda and build things quickly, as soon as I open a doc.

  ### 45. Coda has made our team's work so organized!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cat C. | Producer / Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The best thing about coda is you can have a hub for our entire team's workflow. It is so versatile and easy to use. We work in post production and there were a million documents circulating around. Rather than having a million bookmarks on our computer, we just have it all in 1 place now and it has saved us so much time and efficiency!

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I think the tables could be improved upon and more versatile like they are with notion

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has consolidated all of our teams information and workflow breakdowns into 1.

  ### 46. Product Manager all-in-one tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Svetoslav D. | Senior Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Coda is my source of truth for anything related to the product. I will mention below the exact topics:
1. High-Level OKRs table - everyone can easily write an update and has their own view for tracking progress
2. Initiatives roadmap - contains all the low-level tasks with assigned responsible people
3. Customer interviews database - contains a list of interviewed clients with their notes and the status of the interview
4. Product Requirements Documents - all the templates are stored in Coda and reuse for new tasks
5. Product Documentation - all the product description is stored in Coda

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Since Coda is a powerful tool with a lot of customization some colleagues refuse to adopt it.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda helps me keep all the information in one place. Moreover, it allows for cascading high-level strategy initiatives into low-level roadmaps & tasks that are easy to track.

  ### 47. Amazing tool with a bit of a learning curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

There are countless ways to use Coda both in business and personal use. Project tracking, document repository, spreadsheeting, stakeholder collaboration, etc.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

There is a learning curve that comes with using the tool to its full potential. If you have used tool similar, like Notion, then it won't be as jarring, but there are so many features to understand.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coda has become the centralized source of truth for our Program and it has reduced the number of questions that come to the team since stakeholders can self-service.

  ### 48. A no-code database for coders

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca B. | R&D excellence specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

Its flexibility and ability to implement complex workflows

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Backlinks (as done in Notion) are not there.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The single source of truth problem has been directly tackled. We had many spreadsheets with duplicated information, and now they are all views of the same large database.
Two way linking (relations in db allow for a network in the knowledge base and not just a tree)

  ### 49. Great platform that helps keeps us organized and running

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

I love that it is easy to implement what I need in a matter of minutes. One of my favorite features is the ease of creating data tables that can link to each other - this helps us keep maintenance to a minimum and promotes a single source of truth. I also like how it can integrate to other products such as Slack and Jira, further helping us to centralize our data. I use it on a daily basis, it is my go-to for everything I do.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

I wish that it had better sharing capabilities on a per page basis rather than doc basis.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly keeping me and my team organized across our various projects and processes. We document a lot of our work as we need to reference all the decisions we make that affect our stakeholders.

  ### 50. CODA - aptly named as it is the end of my use of other products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Coda?**

The flexibility to build out exactly what you need in each use case is what hooked me. Sometimes it is much closer to a standard word doc, and others have 15+ table views with more complex formulas to automate my work. Both are useful and have been able to cut the time needed to complete repeat and menial tasks.

**What do you dislike about Coda?**

Honestly, what would help me in regards to CODA would be more people adopting it. So, the more folks that know about it the easier it will be to bring more of my projects into that eco-system.

**What problems is Coda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Too much of our organizational information was trapped in individual docs/spreadsheets created by people with different roles. This has helped us make a central location so that we can all access a single source of truth. In that way, when I make edits or changes, I don't need to ask my whole team to update individual docs, etc.
