
I think workday hcm is current leader in the market with most of companies already onboard with the Workday HCM and it will be safe to say that it is quite useful in multiple ways for us as a HR , First of all the service of sending tasks to multiple groups and multiple people makes it very helpful for us as hr to complete various tasks which might have required so much effort by doing them manually .
The configuration of business processes is also very easy and i think anyone with very little experience can do it so fast ,using the intiuitive buttons and just drag drop the functions to desired row and we are done ,we can then run the task with any defined role.
It is also easy to set up profiles and see various details of profile from different views.i think it is amazing that we can have profile of every employee then also link them to the team tree , which ahead links to the company tree and anyone can go the profile of the employee and see where the tree is connecting from and where will it join the senior management making it easy for everyone to track employee manager and senior management relationship.
I also like the UI it is nice and colorful although sometimes it is bit slow but it is very stable inmost of the times which is great.

Although most all aspects of the system are customizable and able to be changed, there are some delivered reports and processes that cannot be updated. I manage to consolidate the advantages of mine, PTO and also review choices, on a certain area. I think also it's a lot more robust/needs a great deal smaller in downtime than our earlier software. I love the simplicity with which time has proved helpful also time of asking for policies. The method works really well for the colleagues of mine, and I can revise the entries and distribute them to my boss easily. Sending notifications to everybody about updating info on a working day is one more great feature that we frequently use. I love that Workday is very user friendly, both on the administration side and the end user. As an administrator I love that we can be self-sufficient. If we need to create a new report or update a report we can do that. If we need to update or create a new business process or workflow we can do that.
I also love that Workday has a whole suite of products that work together. It makes system fatigue less for the end user when they can look at their payslip, change their home address, open a position for recruitment, process an expense request or take a required work training all in one place!

Workday does have lots of useful functionality that covers a wide range of use cases. It is set up in such a way to be relatively easy to access, and it does contain lots of information in it that is useful for the end user. A lot of the functionality that the end user might want to use is buried in places that are really very hidden and hard to find. As an example, to find my salary and other compensation details, I have to navigate through probably four or five different screens, and then find it buried in a random menu bar in a random place on the screen. All my benefits and explanation of my position with Bright Horizons has been easy to access for the most part, even from multiple devices. There has been some issues loading occasionally when I was working regularly at work with it. Also these days due to the Pandemic, there seems to be issues logging in. Various work life features are properly segregated and organized, which makes it easier to navigate as well as use. I like the user profile section the best, as it provide all the necessary details in various sections. There are somethings in workday which are a little rudimentary. For example, when I used to fill job applications in workday for various companies, there were some fields which it will make the registered user to fill in every single application. The same details could be saved once for general section like Gender, Location, Work Authorization details etc. This will save users a lot of time if they spend a lot of time on workday. Workday is a very easy tool to use. You are able to go from one person to another with ease or you can open a duplicate tab and have one employee on one tab and another on the new tab. I don't know who laid out the screens in Workday but entering data and creating an initial profile is a giant treasure hunt. It is not the least be clear to a casual end-user like me where to go for specific updates and self-service. And often you have to enter the data twice. Be very careful about that part; just when you think you have updated your profile with your SSN, you will find that you have to enter it again in one other screen. And that screen is not in any way linked to the one that you are on.
From an end-user perspective, it is very difficult to use. I don't use it every day, and I forget where things are. If they make an update, then I get lost very easily. I am sure it is a good thing for a big company but the user navigation is sub-par. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
