The tool definitely does what it says. You can create a plain GUI to automate many processes like sharing company apps with your staff and approving requests quickly by managers. Meanwhile, it also helps to handle license management so you can save money.
Even all these features are good but there are more tools on the market as well. The beauty of the Lumos is its support team behind it. They don't only try to sell their software to you so you can use the app feature. They help you to get what you need even if it requires customization to achieve your goal.
Feel like a team is helping you behind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a learning curve, to understand how it works. Even if there is a team to help you, you need to spend some effort to understand their software, so you can best of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lumos is a one stop shop for ending the reactive SaaS-sprawl going on at many modern companies, and it achieves this with an extremely robust and UX-focused portal.
Slack Integration is absolutely key, changes the game entirely.
Lumos has reduced app provisioning at our company to essentially....a non-task. IT barely has to think about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a new product, so there are some features still being built. Ultimately though, this has been beneficial to us due to their Product and Customer Success team being SO amazing and receptive to our needs. We have seen more than 3 requested features land in our platform in less than half a year, working perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that end users, managers, and admins all automatically figure out what their role is in the process quickly and easily. That happens because everything it is heavily slacked based, where the users exist. Emails can be ignored, missed, whatever; but a slack notification with a simple and quick action button lead to faster results for everyone involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
UI/UX elements are at times kind of odd. I wish it was more aparent to people that they already have acces and what kind of access they have. I would really like a bit more control for app admins in using lumos to remove people if necessary, say before time based access request runs out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have automated hapiness.
Typically, policies and procedures are required to get a workforce to do what is best for both themselves and the business. Access requests in particular would normally be maintained through a ticketing system with back and forth between a service desk. A carrot and stick approach, wherein the team would spend as much time trying to pull the different players in a given interaction together, as we would executing the tasks of ticket hygeine and access provisioning. People trying to circumvent this process get repremanded or may even be fired.
With Lumos our end users request what they need, what level of access they think they need, and for the duration of that access. Approvals go to the appropriate stakeholders/business units. The fastest method of getting what someone needs is now Lumos. Circumventing this process is slower, as users would need to set up accounts, licensing, etc.
This ease of use to follow the policy as well as the procedure can only be called a "carrot and carrot" approach.
Lumos has allowed us to transform and modernize. Lumos is great, and evolving for the better all the time. This product is no different than any other initiative that makes an impact. Lumos is going to bring a lot to the table - you are going to need to bring the enthusiasm and desire to evolve. Once you understand how to hook into different platforms and drive the automation, it is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I dislike about Lumos. It is an incredible product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lumos is a great tool for a variety of reasons but what I like best about it is its ease of deployment and use which generates a high adoption rate for users. Makes IT support lives easier via the adoption of the AppStore and makes GRC folks very happy when it comes to show supporting evidence during audits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have anything I dislike about this product. It's purpose built for what it does and it hits the mark. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how much time Lumos saves me when offboarding! It really is just as easy as one click of a button. My favorite feature is definitely the ability to transfer a user's Google Drive contents and reroute their email from within Lumos! That used to be a pain point that Lumos so kindly fixed! There are some application integrations within Lumos that haven't necessarily been connected to our one click offboarding process, so we do have to eventually manually audit that system. However, I think this can be alleviated by leveraging the audit feature from within Lumos! (I realized this when I was typing this out.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lumos has been a great tool to introduce into our company. We are seeing really high adoption rates across the board and ticket volume for access requests has been low across the board.
Other things great about Lumos:

some apps need support when it comes to integration so we are looking forward from lumos to make it available for more apps in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- User-friendly interface that is easy to navigate
- Exceptional support team that provides extensive training during onboarding
- Wide range of SaaS integrations available, with the option to request more if needed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing to note about Lumos is that their pricing is not listed on their website. While Lumos is priced reasonably, it can be unclear how much it would cost potential customers to use the tool. This lack of transparency can create confusion and make it challenging for customers to compare Lumos to other tools in the market. It would be helpful if Lumos were more transparent about their pricing and provided clear information about their plans and pricing tiers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lumos has been a great tool in our arsenal to implment organization wide role based access. Even with SSO solutions this remains an issue with startups to manage access. Lumos saw the clear gap and built a great solution. It also helps us discover shadow apps and bring visibility to IT spend. Lumos team has been great to work with as well. They are on the right path to solve the access control issues. I wish to see more integrations with commonly used SaaS apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
