**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

What I like best about Ironclad is how it combines thoughtful product design with a clear focus on solving a real, high-impact business problem. I’m especially drawn to the way Ironclad is modernizing contract workflows through automation and AI while keeping the experience intuitive for the people who use it every day. The company’s emphasis on innovation, customer impact, and building a category-defining product is particularly exciting to me.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

One potential drawback is that Ironclad operates in a complex and rapidly evolving market, so priorities, processes, and product direction may change quickly. While that pace can be exciting, it may also create ambiguity and require employees to adapt continuously. As the company grows, maintaining alignment, clear communication, and a consistent customer experience could also become increasingly challenging.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is solving the problem of inefficient, fragmented, and manual contract management. By centralizing contracts, automating workflows, and using AI to streamline review and analysis, Ironclad helps organizations reduce administrative work, accelerate deal cycles, improve visibility, and minimize legal and business risk. **What do you like best about Ironclad?**

It is so easy to use and learn! Our team recently took over the renewal process and we had to learn everything from scratch. Ironclad was so user friendly and easy to learn. It made the transition smooth! I'm not sure what we are paying, but I'm so thankful our company uses it. It makes my day to day so much easier!

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I haven't found anything that I dislike yet. The filters it provides makes it easy to search for past contracts that I need to reference. The In Progress tab makes it super quick to find contracts that I'm currently working on.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously contracts were stored in Google Drive. This made it difficult to locate contracts and sometimes sales reps didn't upload the completed ones at all. Now having all contracts stored in Ironclad has helped with our auditing and made it a simple source of truth.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is relatively intuitive, and allows seamless documentation to be sent and makes it difficult to accidentally delete an operation. It has more capabilities, as workflow through various depts. vs docusign that did not seem to have as much optionability.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The only complaint I have about Ironclad, which is probably not a bad thing, is it takes a couple steps to cancel a process and also I have yet to understand how to resend a previous document for signature other than entering a whole new task, this could be more intuitive

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad makes sending customers documents/sales contracts easy for them to sign, especially in the advent of remote work whereby they may not have any other ways/technology to sign and return.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

What I like best about Ironclad is how easy it makes managing contracts from start to finish. The workflows are intuitive, approvals are straightforward, and having everything centralized makes it much easier to track contract status and keep deals moving.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The biggest downside is that there can be a bit of a learning curve when first getting familiar with the platform and its workflows. Some processes can also feel like they require more clicks than necessary, but overall it hasn’t been a major issue.

Ironclad helps solve the back-and-forth that comes with contract reviews, approvals, and tracking. It gives everyone one place to see where a contract stands, which saves time, reduces manual follow-up, and helps keep deals moving.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad AI Assist has been genuinely helpful from a procurement perspective. It makes contract intake and review feel much less manual by pulling out key details, helping with routing, and improving visibility into renewals and obligations. It saves time, reduces back-and-forth with Legal, and lets me focus more on negotiation and commercial decisions.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Still the search function needs optimization, also a unique ID generated for each contract would be a great feature and will help fine tune the search function

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is the single source of truth when it comes to contract management.
Contract review is tiresome activity, but with Ironclad, it saves a lot of time from writing lengthy and fancy emails each time you send the redlined version to the supplier and vice-versa.

The strongest point I like about Ironclad is the people and collaborative culture. There is a strong sense of teamwork, with talented and approachable colleagues who are willing to support one another. I also appreciate the opportunity to work on an innovative product and solve meaningful problems in a fast-growing environment. The combination of a supportive culture, learning opportunities, and the chance to take ownership makes Ironclad an exciting place to work

One aspect I dislike is that, like many fast-growing companies, the pace can sometimes be very demanding and priorities may change quickly. This can occasionally create ambiguity around processes and long-term planning. However, these challenges also come with opportunities to learn, adapt, and take on broader responsibilities.

Ironclad is solving the complexity and inefficiency of contract management by bringing contract creation, review, approvals, negotiation, signing, and contract intelligence into a more connected and automated platform. **What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like that Ironclad saves me time and money without requiring me to be a contract expert. The platform is easy to use, and I can quickly track contracts, make changes, and keep up with different parts of agreements with clients or vendors. It makes the contract process feel much more manageable and organized.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Honestly, I don’t have anything I dislike about Ironclad so far. I’ve been using it for about a month, and it has done exactly what I need it to do. It’s been easy to use, straightforward to navigate, and I haven’t run into any issues that have negatively impacted my experience.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad solves the problem of not having to be a contract expert or spend hours trying to perfect contracts myself. I only need contract support a few times a year, so using a human expert every time isn’t practical or cost-effective. Ironclad gives me the tools to manage, review, track, and make changes to contracts on my own, which saves me both time and money. It gives me the confidence to handle contracts without having to become an expert in them.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

You can capture all versions and email conversations within the system. It integrates well with SmartDesk and it triggers some automatic emails which is a nice feature.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The AI functionality seems fake. It takes a lot of work to build a playbook and it doesn't function properly for us. In addition, if you use the canned AI playbook to search for terms, the organization makes no sense. It reverts back to alphabetical instead of reading the document from top to bottom and often times the AI reading of clauses is inaccurate. For example, it will say a clause is missing, but it is just later in the document or has another title. This system is perfect for a company that has one form of their own document and set terms with some available negotiation variations. This does not function well for a legal team that is faced with many many third party agreements for review. At onboarding our software builder did not do a good job building our workflow and we had to fix it ourselves. We are more than a year in and it doesn't cut down on review time. We also dislike the fact that you can't collaborate within IronClad and have to move the document into sharepoint and then upload back into IronClad.

They offered us an hour of help - nothing has been done to solve our issues.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I love that Ironclad's interface is super user-friendly, making it easy to search, upload, redline, and communicate with other teams. It's one of the cleanest and user-friendly systems I've ever used. It simplifies and cleans up the noise, helping me stay organized with the latest contractual updates and negotiations. With thousands of agreements and workflows in the library, the interface allows me to search with ease.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

When you click on an agreement, it's very difficult to see who has left comments as everything is abbreviated. You need to click on the edit button to see who commented. It would be great to see this when you first enter the contract, not in edit mode. The search function is also an issue. Sometimes when you search a contract, a bunch of other contracts and workflows not related to the search term appear. To bypass this, you have to search in speech marks to get exact results.

Ironclad simplifies complex negotiations and keeps contracts organized with ease of use in searching, uploading, redlining, and communication, providing a comprehensive compliance hub and user-friendly interface.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I see a significant improvement over the years - the tools has a great and intuitive user-friendly interface and multiple options that admin can use to build even a very complex workflow without external help or coding skills. Even in age of AI, I see the value in the system that allows sufficient control over the process.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I would still appreciate better connectivity and options for document editing. For example Word Online feature works great but still requited additional internal process. Also, native AI tools can be more flexible with options to easily keep meta data aligned with document content.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironcald represents the main legal tools within the company and helps to keep control over the entire contracting procress, from using the correct template to collect all relevant approvals. Ironclad helps to increase the efficiency and shorten the contracting process.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I really like the Jurist functionality.  It provides a great way to review clause with higher risk attached and offers internal mitigation strategies.  In addition, it quickly reviews standard clauses that should never change, which allows more time to address the high-risk clauses.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I really wish Ironclad had a good work around pdf to docx.  Right now, we sometimes have agreements that come to us in a locked pdf form.  While we're not trying to materially change the language in the contract, we are not able to add comments when the pdf is locked.  Some functionality that addresses the integrity of the protection but also allows to add comments would be very helpful.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The time savings in the thorough review of standard clauses and identification of high-risk clauses has been a game changer for us.  This positions us to support our project teams with the best possible strategies in executing their work in real time.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like that Ironclad keeps my contracts in place on a single platform, allowing me to search for my active agreements and keep a clean status on the stages in my reviews with customers and suppliers. It provides accountability for those involved and serves as a good shared environment for my team. The shared environment is really helpful as it allows remote access to a single review, facilitating collaboration regardless of time zones or geography. The search capability is key for looking up agreements by region or counterparty names, supporting active or expired agreements, and managing workflows by roles step by step.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There are a few things that could be improved. On the search capability, I think the search feature could be made easier. I've noticed that the searching engine basically works through filters. But for users that are not accustomed or aware of how these filters work, it may feel very upsetting or frustrating. If you try to search for a specific customer agreement or supplier agreement, you end up with a very long list of contracts as if they all match what you're looking for. Ideally, when you look for something, it should offer you a specific contract and not various contracts. The initial setup was not very easy. We ran through specific sessions of introduction on how to put together a workflow, but you need a lot of awareness before you can actually configure a workflow. You need to understand how properties and conditions work very well before you can set up yourself. We ended up making properties and conditions that, after configuration, limited us because they were preventing us from doing things differently later on. They can become more of an obstruction on their own.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ironclad to manage supplier and customer agreements. It keeps my contracts organized on a single platform, allows searching for active agreements, maintains a clean status of reviews, ensures accountability, and provides a shared environment for my team.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I find Ironclad incredibly valuable for its ability to streamline the capturing of approvals from cross-functional partners, which enhances collaboration across different departments. Additionally, having all documents stored in one central location significantly simplifies document management and retrieval, fostering better organization. I really appreciate the approval workflows as they are efficient in maintaining the flow of work, and the version control feature is outstanding for maintaining document integrity over time. The signature process is seamless, adding to the effectiveness of executing contracts promptly. Document retention ensures compliance with policies, minimizing risks associated with data losses. Ironclad’s integrations with software like Coupa and Salesforce are important, as they support both sales and accounting teams, enhancing cross-functional operations.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I find it challenging that some functionality and features don't make it easy to search in the repository. This limitation hinders my ability to efficiently locate necessary documents or information stored within the system, which can be frustrating and time-consuming, especially in a fast-paced work environment. There have also been changes to the support model, making it harder to setup calls with our support team to assist with integrations. Also, there are more apparent functionality limitations as an admin.

I love that I’m able to collaborate with our internal teams much more effectively than before. We used to be a Jira shop for contract reviews, and it often felt disorganized and hectic when we were trying to push priorities forward. With Ironclad, we can collaborate seamlessly and connect instantly to get input or feedback when we need it.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

With new things constantly coming out, it would be nice to have a “lite/soft” version before committing to the add on. When there is a good amount of money invested and years invested to back up the commitment, it would be a great feature to offer clients that might not be ready to commit for a new add on but just needed that push to see it’s value.

What I like most about Ironclad is how easy it is to use. The interface is straightforward and saves me hours each week. It also doesn’t require much technical knowledge to get started, and it’s simple to keep working with the product day to day.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The Workflow Designer and the overall transparency. I love that I don't have to email Legal every two days to ask for a status update. I can log in and see exactly who has the contract and what the holdup is. The integration with Salesforce and Slack is also huge—getting notifications where I already work makes the whole approval process much faster.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The search function (Repository) can be a bit finicky if you don't know the exact metadata or tags used. If a contract wasn't tagged perfectly when it was uploaded, finding it later feels a bit like a scavenger hunt. Also, the interface has a slight learning curve if you're not used to CLM tools.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the "black hole" problem of contract approvals. Before Ironclad, contracts would get lost in long email chains. Now, the process is automated, and I can get deals signed in days instead of weeks. It simply removes the friction between Sales, Legal, and the customer, allowing me to focus on my actual job instead of admin work.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

It’s easy to use overall. I don’t really have to overthink where things are or how to get started; it’s straightforward and intuitive.

The follow-up and approval tracking is solid, too. I can actually see what’s stuck and who needs to do what, which helps a lot when things get busy.

It also handles approval flows well in general. Everything moves through the right steps without needing constant chasing.

The archive and search features are useful as well. Once something’s done, it isn’t a pain to find later, which sounds basic, but it honestly makes a difference.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

If anything, there isn’t a lot of built-in guidance or hand-holding when you first start. but the tool is pretty easy to use anyway, so you figure things out fairly quickly just by clicking around and using it.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The workflow configurations you can build to spawn customized contracts are helpful by reducing room for user error. It makes it easier for the users to kick-off a contract if the workflow is configured optimally.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There is a lot of room for improvement in terms of the user experience. I do not mean the user interface, which is presentable/clean albeit unnecessarily busy. I mean that there are key points of friction in several places, including the rigidity of features like turn-tracking (manual kick off, cannot edit/backdate), the warping that the IC editor does to Word documents, the inclusion of features which should be able to talk to each other but cannot (like Global Clause Library vs. AI Clauses). Friction is especially present for my organization as we are a research university's legal office, and Ironclad's UX seems to cater to companies and sales teams who interface with legal. All these sources of friction culminate in users creating workarounds through loopholes, which ultimately need correction to use Ironclad in the correct way. 

Do not purchase service from this company if you are looking for sophisticated AI integration and features. I have not tried Jurist where the premier AI functionality lives, but it would be additional costs on top of the costs you need to spend to hire someone to help your organization adopt Ironclad and/or hours with their consultants to work with your group.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their support team is very responsive to feedback and troubleshooting with your workflow configurations. They respond usually within 0.5-2 business days. Your feedback for improving UX may not be prioritized; I've noticed their release notes tend to list a lot of style changes relative to function.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I find Ironclad's constant improvements and straightforward configuration pretty appealing. The expanding capabilities with OCR and AI are greatly enhancing our ability to manage contracts and extract metadata. The OCR feature is especially helpful as it automatically captures metadata with key components of the agreement, saving us from having to review large portions of data manually. The AI feature speeds up our evaluation and analysis of agreements. I also appreciate that setting up Ironclad was very easy, and I could do it with just a little help from a consultant. Lastly, the fact that Ironclad is very proactive at taking user suggestions adds to a positive experience.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The UI is still a bit of a pain point, and takes a bit of time to discover and utilize all the features. Most legal teams are used to folder structure and keeping things organized within families, the UI is still too disjointed when viewing agreements.

I use Ironclad to manage all our corporate contracts, track expiration dates, and send reminders. It centralizes contracts, streamlines workflows for redlines and signatures, and eliminates the need for multiple repositories.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like using Ironclad for contract lifecycle management tasks, such as reviewing and signing contracts. It keeps the negotiation history all in one place and makes sending documents for signature easy, although the latest update on signature tags has been problematic. I also appreciate the automation workflows that allow tasks to route themselves. Despite the initial adjustment period for new users, Ironclad becomes quite smooth to use once familiar. It's a good platform for negotiation and tracking activities.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The signature tag 'snap-to' behavior and tag margin size in the April 23-2026 update are not welcome and make it difficult for me as Signature Coordinator to get the tags aligned properly in the sigblock fields. Also, it takes way too long to edit or add property fields (such as expiration dates, renewal notice dates, whatever). 10 seconds at least to process 1 edit to 1 record in the Repository. Also adding Parent or Child records takes 10-15 seconds also.

I use Ironclad to keep negotiation history in one place, send for signatures easily, and automate workflows. It's a good platform for negotiating and tracking contracts.

Great AI tools to analyze your repository and data. Love the workflow features that can be customized for each departments needs. Most importantly, the Renewals Dashboard helps me track Renewal Opt Out Dates for costly contracts that can auto-renew and impact each departments budget every year. The Renewals Dashboard alone helps our company save thousands of dollars a year. Great integration with Adobe eSign, simple and easy to use. The platform itself has not been down or impacted in the 3 years we've been a customer and their Customer Support, Implementation and onboarding are stellar. Great leadership, account managers and support team!

I really benefit from using Ironclad as a central hub for contract lifecycle management, whether it's for initiating vendor agreements, NDAs, or software renewals. The biggest advantage is the bottleneck transparency it provides; I love being able to see in real-time exactly where a document is in the process instead of it getting lost. The platform also automates compliance routing, which means teams are automatically looped in based on contract type without me having to manually intervene. I appreciate the simplicity it provides in managing everything and the self-service capability without sacrificing control. The workflow designer is a game changer, offering dynamic logic built right into the platform. The repository feature is also great, as it allows me to quickly pull up old contracts and view metadata without sifting through lengthy documents. Additionally, the initial setup of Ironclad was really easy.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The browser-based Ironclad editor can feel a bit sluggish with larger contracts, and sometimes I have to download the Word doc to redline locally as it's just easier.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like using Ironclad for legal document drafting because it allows me to create templates for different documents easily, making it simple to set up new documents or amend templates based on the business climate. It's also great for amending documents to suit each customer's preference. Tracking changes is a standout feature, as it helps us keep track of what is being amended continuously. The forum feature is really useful as we can ask our legal team questions without changing the document and get the account managers' views on changes before implementing them. This reduces the need for various email chains or Teams chats. I also appreciate that if we need internal approval, we can add the email to the workflow. Lastly, the setup was very easy, just requiring an internal email for access from the admin.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I think some of the fields should be separate from the document, such as the notice email, as updating one automatically updates the document when it shouldn't. As adding a notice email adds it to the Amble of the contract, which we don't necessarily want. It should be separate. It would also be nice if there was the function to add multiple notice emails that do not get automatically added to the contract, and the ability to add multiple signatories would also be nice.

I like that Ironclad is easy to use and highly configurable. The support is great, and the people behind it are fantastic. I find it easy to create order form templates, and I appreciate the clause library that allows for the reuse of various complex clauses. The drag-and-drop feature makes building forms a breeze.

I find the reporting and mass downloads of contracts could be improved. I'd like to see more advanced reporting capabilities within the application. Also, from a download perspective, I'd prefer an easier way to download all contracts in one centralized location instead of having to navigate through nested folders.

We have a custom field that was created for us by IC. Copying this to another workflow has proven a challenge due to its complexity.

I really like how Ironclad's Legal Centers are extremely easy to configure. It's great that basic functionality can be completed without needing any coding or a technical background, which means that legal teams can often self-serve. I find it valuable that we can create and update agreements as soon as changes are required without having to mess with coding or websites. The initial setup of Ironclad was pretty straightforward and mainly involved creating and uploading relevant contracts.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There are still limits to how much a legal team can self serve because embedding or actually using a clickwrap contract does require software engineering support.

Ironclad automates tracking of clickwrap agreements and addresses enforceability concerns. Legal Centers are easy to configure, allowing our legal team to create and update agreements without coding.

I like the internal chat. I appreciate the different versions we can have while keeping the older ones, and having the red lines in each version is helpful. I also like how the comments can be visible to whoever is allowed for the agreement review. I enjoy going back to completed agreements to refer to older executed agreements and connect new agreements with already executed ones, which makes it easier to follow up on older agreements.

The search for all agreements in the repository can be tricky because of different names or titles of the agreements.

I appreciate how Ironclad serves as a one-stop solution for initiating workflows for approvals and generating order forms. Its functionality in keeping track of any changes in contracts, particularly for legal reviews, is extremely valuable. I love having a central repository where all contract-related legal redlines are managed, making it easy to send out drafts to clients via email. I find the ability to manage contracts all in one place commendable, especially for tasks like raising order forms and triggering signatures. Outside of contracts, I enjoy how Ironclad facilitates amendments, third-party authorization, and the creation of specific documents seamlessly. The ease of use is another aspect I appreciate; Ironclad is straightforward, and the initial setup was pretty simple, getting started the moment it was enabled. Overall, these features collectively make Ironclad an indispensable tool for my work.

The  email management in Ironclad is combersome. Whenever I receive an email from a client with comments and address their points, a new email is sent out for each response. This results in multiple email threads instead of a single, continuous email trail. It can be challenging to keep track of all conversations, and clients may lose track of the discussion due to this fragmented communication.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I use Ironclad daily for contract and order form generation. I like the customizable nature of the workflow creation functions. Editing directly in Ironclad is easy and integrates with Microsoft Word. This allows me to quickly make custom edits to orders. Ironclad also integrates well with Salesforce and DocuSign, allowing us to have orders created and signed without opening multiple programs. The final documents then automatically upload into Salesforce, which is an additional convenience.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There could be more UI improvements in the workflow designer. Conditional logic is all manually created, and in the future, I would hope to see a greater integration of AI functionality to build out workflows automatically. Ironclad's focus is primarily on contract creation and legal teams, and I think it could benefit from also paying attention to the GTM teams, and streamlining Order Form creation further, using AI and drag-and-drop modules to help create new order variations.

My team and I have been meeting regularly with our account reps and we have seen a steady improvement in how our feedback is collected and implemented. The software has been receiving so much needed improvements so I am glad to see the technical aspect of it being updated. In terms of the relationship between us I believe it is in a strong place today.

At times there are some limitations and functionality that I would expect that does not exist. For instance, the “insights” feature of the platform is virtually useless in its current form for data visualization. However, our account rep has kept us updated on any movement regarding that feature and assures us we will be able to test any new features to gather our feedback.

Ironclad has made it much easier for us to centralize our requests and maintain a comprehensive database of contracts. I use Ironclad for capturing internal approvals and as a document repository. It solves our internal approval workflow and helps with versioning control. The repository is valuable because we can easily find what we need when performing audits. We can retrieve information and metrics for accounting purposes and revenue recognition. Also, it allows us to capture data based on negotiated terms within the contracts.

We are really hoping to see increased improvement in the AI functionality, especially in the repository for the search functions of workflows. We'd like more accurate data retrieval whenever we are searching in the search bars. It was pretty difficult to migrate our documents from contract pod into Ironclad with clean data. The data dump was all drafts and final executed contracts, and it was hard to differentiate them without having to go through them manually.

It's easy to use and helpful for setting up business rules for contract workflows. The support that Ironclad provides is also extremely helpful. Ironclad helps my company maintain track of all our contracts, which is a significant improvement from handling contracts via email.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Setting up integrations manually and using the Ironclad APIs can be technically challenging. While documentation exists, it would be helpful to have more documentation and examples of real-world integrations.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad has great reporting and analytics capabilities that helps us track contract status, performance metrics and bottlenecks so we are able to make informed decisions on time. 
It also has seamless integration with major tools resulting to great workflow.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

It has a steep learning curve where new users find it complex.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual contract workflows are slow and error prone. This tool on the other hand automates workflows which allows us track contracts with easy with great accuracy.
