## Ironclad Reviews
 ### 1. Jurist Makes High-Risk Clause Review Faster and More Effective

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheryl B. | Contract Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I really like the Jurist functionality. It provides a great way to review clause with higher risk attached and offers internal mitigation strategies. In addition, it quickly reviews standard clauses that should never change, which allows more time to address the high-risk clauses.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I really wish Ironclad had a good work around pdf to docx. Right now, we sometimes have agreements that come to us in a locked pdf form. While we're not trying to materially change the language in the contract, we are not able to add comments when the pdf is locked. Some functionality that addresses the integrity of the protection but also allows to add comments would be very helpful.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The time savings in the thorough review of standard clauses and identification of high-risk clauses has been a game changer for us. This positions us to support our project teams with the best possible strategies in executing their work in real time.

 ### 2. Transparent Workflow Designer with Seamless Salesforce & Slack Notifications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando M. | Channel Sales Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The Workflow Designer and the overall transparency. I love that I don't have to email Legal every two days to ask for a status update. I can log in and see exactly who has the contract and what the holdup is. The integration with Salesforce and Slack is also huge—getting notifications where I already work makes the whole approval process much faster.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The search function (Repository) can be a bit finicky if you don't know the exact metadata or tags used. If a contract wasn't tagged perfectly when it was uploaded, finding it later feels a bit like a scavenger hunt. Also, the interface has a slight learning curve if you're not used to CLM tools.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the "black hole" problem of contract approvals. Before Ironclad, contracts would get lost in long email chains. Now, the process is automated, and I can get deals signed in days instead of weeks. It simply removes the friction between Sales, Legal, and the customer, allowing me to focus on my actual job instead of admin work.

 ### 3. Ironclad Streamlines the Entire Contract Lifecycle with Clear Workflows and Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Agatha S. | Business Process Operation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like that Ironclad streamlines the entire contract lifecycle in one platform, making it easy to create, review, approve, and track agreements with clear workflows and real-time visibility, which improves efficiency, reduces manual work, and keeps everything organized and accessible.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Customization can sometimes feel limited, especially when trying to tailor workflows or templates to very specific or complex business needs.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

solves the problem of fragmented, manual contract processes by centralizing drafting, approval, negotiation, and storage into one streamlined system with clear workflows and real-time visibility; this benefits me by reducing turnaround time, minimizing errors, improving collaboration across teams, ensuring better compliance and tracking, and making it much easier to manage and access all contracts in one place.

 ### 4. UX Needs Significant Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The workflow configurations you can build to spawn customized contracts are helpful by reducing room for user error. It makes it easier for the users to kick-off a contract if the workflow is configured optimally.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There is a lot of room for improvement in terms of the user experience. I do not mean the user interface, which is presentable/clean albeit unnecessarily busy. I mean that there are key points of friction in several places, including the rigidity of features like turn-tracking (manual kick off, cannot edit/backdate), the warping that the IC editor does to Word documents, the inclusion of features which should be able to talk to each other but cannot (like Global Clause Library vs. AI Clauses). Friction is especially present for my organization as we are a research university's legal office, and Ironclad's UX seems to cater to companies and sales teams who interface with legal. All these sources of friction culminate in users creating workarounds through loopholes, which ultimately need correction to use Ironclad in the correct way.

Do not purchase service from this company if you are looking for sophisticated AI integration and features. I have not tried Jurist where the premier AI functionality lives, but it would be additional costs on top of the costs you need to spend to hire someone to help your organization adopt Ironclad and/or hours with their consultants to work with your group.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their support team is very responsive to feedback and troubleshooting with your workflow configurations. They respond usually within 0.5-2 business days. Your feedback for improving UX may not be prioritized; I've noticed their release notes tend to list a lot of style changes relative to function.

 ### 5. Ultimate Contract Management Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew H. | Senior Manager, Corporate Contracts, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I find Ironclad's constant improvements and straightforward configuration pretty appealing. The expanding capabilities with OCR and AI are greatly enhancing our ability to manage contracts and extract metadata. The OCR feature is especially helpful as it automatically captures metadata with key components of the agreement, saving us from having to review large portions of data manually. The AI feature speeds up our evaluation and analysis of agreements. I also appreciate that setting up Ironclad was very easy, and I could do it with just a little help from a consultant. Lastly, the fact that Ironclad is very proactive at taking user suggestions adds to a positive experience.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The UI is still a bit of a pain point, and takes a bit of time to discover and utilize all the features. Most legal teams are used to folder structure and keeping things organized within families, the UI is still too disjointed when viewing agreements.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ironclad to manage all our corporate contracts, track expiration dates, and send reminders. It centralizes contracts, streamlines workflows for redlines and signatures, and eliminates the need for multiple repositories.

 ### 6. Efficient with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacqui V. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like using Ironclad for contract lifecycle management tasks, such as reviewing and signing contracts. It keeps the negotiation history all in one place and makes sending documents for signature easy, although the latest update on signature tags has been problematic. I also appreciate the automation workflows that allow tasks to route themselves. Despite the initial adjustment period for new users, Ironclad becomes quite smooth to use once familiar. It's a good platform for negotiation and tracking activities.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The signature tag 'snap-to' behavior and tag margin size in the April 23-2026 update are not welcome and make it difficult for me as Signature Coordinator to get the tags aligned properly in the sigblock fields. Also, it takes way too long to edit or add property fields (such as expiration dates, renewal notice dates, whatever). 10 seconds at least to process 1 edit to 1 record in the Repository. Also adding Parent or Child records takes 10-15 seconds also.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ironclad to keep negotiation history in one place, send for signatures easily, and automate workflows. It's a good platform for negotiating and tracking contracts.

 ### 7. Ironclad Delivers it all: AI-Powered Workflows, Rock-Solid Reliability, and Major Renewal Savings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Great AI tools to analyze your repository and data. Love the workflow features that can be customized for each departments needs. Most importantly, the Renewals Dashboard helps me track Renewal Opt Out Dates for costly contracts that can auto-renew and impact each departments budget every year. The Renewals Dashboard alone helps our company save thousands of dollars a year. Great integration with Adobe eSign, simple and easy to use. The platform itself has not been down or impacted in the 3 years we've been a customer and their Customer Support, Implementation and onboarding are stellar. Great leadership, account managers and support team!

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Nothing, I like everything about Ironclad.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Renewals Dashboard is solving our renewals tracking risk associated with auto-renewals that require notice to opt-out. The Adobe eSign integration helps us work in one platform versus multiple platforms. Workflows help each department work in an eficient and effective manner allowing us to communicate and share information to complete a contract.

 ### 8. Revolutionized Our Contract Management with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miquel S. | Senior Account Executive Southern Europe, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I really benefit from using Ironclad as a central hub for contract lifecycle management, whether it's for initiating vendor agreements, NDAs, or software renewals. The biggest advantage is the bottleneck transparency it provides; I love being able to see in real-time exactly where a document is in the process instead of it getting lost. The platform also automates compliance routing, which means teams are automatically looped in based on contract type without me having to manually intervene. I appreciate the simplicity it provides in managing everything and the self-service capability without sacrificing control. The workflow designer is a game changer, offering dynamic logic built right into the platform. The repository feature is also great, as it allows me to quickly pull up old contracts and view metadata without sifting through lengthy documents. Additionally, the initial setup of Ironclad was really easy.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The browser-based Ironclad editor can feel a bit sluggish with larger contracts, and sometimes I have to download the Word doc to redline locally as it's just easier.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad solves bottleneck transparency, letting me track documents in real time. It automates compliance routing, involving teams automatically. Managing everything is simple, and it enables self-service without losing control.

 ### 9. Seamlessly Unifies Contract Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sid S. | Head of FinTech, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like that Ironclad is easy to use and highly configurable. The support is great, and the people behind it are fantastic. I find it easy to create order form templates, and I appreciate the clause library that allows for the reuse of various complex clauses. The drag-and-drop feature makes building forms a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I find the reporting and mass downloads of contracts could be improved. I'd like to see more advanced reporting capabilities within the application. Also, from a download perspective, I'd prefer an easier way to download all contracts in one centralized location instead of having to navigate through nested folders.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is an integrated contract lifecycle management system that centralizes all contracts across sales and procurement. It unifies our revenue and spend details. The platform is easy to use and highly configurable, with features like order form templates and reusable clauses.

 ### 10. Simplifies Contract Management with Ease

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Constance L. | Advisory Council Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I really like how Ironclad's Legal Centers are extremely easy to configure. It's great that basic functionality can be completed without needing any coding or a technical background, which means that legal teams can often self-serve. I find it valuable that we can create and update agreements as soon as changes are required without having to mess with coding or websites. The initial setup of Ironclad was pretty straightforward and mainly involved creating and uploading relevant contracts.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There are still limits to how much a legal team can self serve because embedding or actually using a clickwrap contract does require software engineering support.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad automates tracking of clickwrap agreements and addresses enforceability concerns. Legal Centers are easy to configure, allowing our legal team to create and update agreements without coding.

 ### 11. Strong Redlining and In-Platform Negotiation, But Workflow Changes Are Hard Mid-Stream

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan T. | Inside Sales Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I love the internal and external redlining capabilities. Being able to negotiate directly within the platform, keeps everyone on the same page and eliminates messy email version control issues.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The platform's primary drawback is the difficulty in making mid-stream adjustments once a workflow is live. If a minor logic error is discovered while a contract is in flight, you often have to cancel the entire process and start over, which can create friction in high-volume environments.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad has solved the problem of contracts getting stuck in legal review. By automating approval routing and empowering sales to self-serve standard NDAs or MSAs, we have reduced our contract turnaround time.

 ### 12. Ironclad Simplifies Agreement Processes with Seamless Features and Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angie S. | Scientific Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like the internal chat. I appreciate the different versions we can have while keeping the older ones, and having the red lines in each version is helpful. I also like how the comments can be visible to whoever is allowed for the agreement review. I enjoy going back to completed agreements to refer to older executed agreements and connect new agreements with already executed ones, which makes it easier to follow up on older agreements.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The search for all agreements in the repository can be tricky because of different names or titles of the agreements.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ironclad to submit agreements for legal review, including procurement details. It helps me manage daily operations and follow up on legal and business reviews.

 ### 13. All-in-One Contract Management with Simple Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jai M. | Account Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I appreciate how Ironclad serves as a one-stop solution for initiating workflows for approvals and generating order forms. Its functionality in keeping track of any changes in contracts, particularly for legal reviews, is extremely valuable. I love having a central repository where all contract-related legal redlines are managed, making it easy to send out drafts to clients via email. I find the ability to manage contracts all in one place commendable, especially for tasks like raising order forms and triggering signatures. Outside of contracts, I enjoy how Ironclad facilitates amendments, third-party authorization, and the creation of specific documents seamlessly. The ease of use is another aspect I appreciate; Ironclad is straightforward, and the initial setup was pretty simple, getting started the moment it was enabled. Overall, these features collectively make Ironclad an indispensable tool for my work.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The email management in Ironclad is combersome. Whenever I receive an email from a client with comments and address their points, a new email is sent out for each response. This results in multiple email threads instead of a single, continuous email trail. It can be challenging to keep track of all conversations, and clients may lose track of the discussion due to this fragmented communication.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ironclad as a one-stop solution for managing contracts, generating order forms, and handling legal reviews efficiently. It centralizes contract workflows, simplifying the process of sending drafts to clients and managing amendments or third-party documents easily.

 ### 14. Ironclad’s Easy Interface Saves Me Hours Every Week

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav M. | System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

What I like most about Ironclad is how easy it is to use. The interface saves me hours each week. It doesn’t require a lot of technical knowledge to get started or work with the product.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The app gets frequent updates, which can sometimes break certain features.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re integrating Salesforce with Ironclad to enhance our current CLM process. This will help our customers by letting them view and manage all of their contract workflows in one place.

 ### 15. Streamlines Contract Management with Robust Control

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** brandon H. | Commercial Sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I like that Ironclad lets us move contracts fast without losing legal oversight, consistency, or visibility. It excels at providing intuitive workflows so non-legal teams can use it without hand-holding. I also appreciate its strong search and reporting features, allowing us to quickly find terms, obligations, and risk. The clean integrations with e-sign and internal systems make it work smoothly. Overall, it’s powerful without being heavy, which makes adoption easy.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

With Ironclad, the main gaps are: Initial setup is heavy – templates and workflows take time to configure properly. Limited flexibility for edge cases – complex, non-standard deals can feel constrained. Reporting customization could be deeper without workarounds. Cost can be high for smaller teams or light users. Nothing deal-breaking, but those areas could definitely be smoother.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad eliminates contract chaos, automates approvals, reduces legal risk, improves visibility, prevents missed renewals, speeds up deals, and creates accountability. It cuts friction, lowers risk, and accelerates execution, making contracts fast, compliant, searchable, and controlled.

 ### 16. Customizable Workflows, Needs AI Enhancements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul F. | Manager, Deal Desk | Driving Revenue Efficiency & Scalable GTM Operations

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I use Ironclad daily for contract and order form generation. I like the customizable nature of the workflow creation functions. Editing directly in Ironclad is easy and integrates with Microsoft Word. This allows me to quickly make custom edits to orders. Ironclad also integrates well with Salesforce and DocuSign, allowing us to have orders created and signed without opening multiple programs. The final documents then automatically upload into Salesforce, which is an additional convenience.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There could be more UI improvements in the workflow designer. Conditional logic is all manually created, and in the future, I would hope to see a greater integration of AI functionality to build out workflows automatically. Ironclad's focus is primarily on contract creation and legal teams, and I think it could benefit from also paying attention to the GTM teams, and streamlining Order Form creation further, using AI and drag-and-drop modules to help create new order variations.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ironclad to scale contract and order form generation, automate workflows, and enable sales self-service. It integrates with Salesforce and DocuSign, allowing seamless order creation and signing, with documents automatically uploading to Salesforce.

 ### 17. Ironclad CLM Continuous Innovation and Unmatched Capability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reann E. | Contract Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I've been consistently impressed by Ironclad's relentless commitment to innovation. The platform's continuous improvement is evident in several key areas:

Advanced AI: The meaningful adoption and integration of AI-driven features.

Ecosystem Connectivity: A growing library of robust integrations with other critical third-party tools.

Guided Processes: The development of sophisticated and practical playbooks that streamline operations.

Beyond the technology itself, the support available via the online community is a significant value-add. It provides a unique forum to connect with peers and troubleshoot not just system-specific issues, but also to collaborate on broader process challenges.

Having evaluated other solutions in the CLM market, I've found it notable that even competitors often acknowledge they cannot provide the full spectrum of capabilities that Ironclad delivers.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

In my experience, even the most robust platforms have areas for refinement. As an active user of Ironclad, I've identified a few opportunities that I believe would further elevate the user experience:

Pricing & Packaging: The pricing model can be complex and represents a significant investment. However, I must commend their team for being consistently willing to collaborate and find flexible solutions that meet specific consumer needs.

Support Ecosystem: While navigating the official help articles can sometimes be challenging, this is precisely where the Ironclad community shines. It has become an invaluable, responsive resource for peer-to-peer support and practical solutions.

Analytics & Reporting: The 'Insights' reporting module is an area with significant potential for development. The current functionality can be unintuitive and does not yet provide the level of deep, actionable data that many power-users require.

I am sharing this feedback constructively, as I continue to be impressed by the platform's core capabilities and am optimistic about its future direction.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad has helped to organize our contracts into a single, searchable, and intelligent system.

 ### 18. Great Support and Continuous Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

My team and I have been meeting regularly with our account reps and we have seen a steady improvement in how our feedback is collected and implemented. The software has been receiving so much needed improvements so I am glad to see the technical aspect of it being updated. In terms of the relationship between us I believe it is in a strong place today.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

At times there are some limitations and functionality that I would expect that does not exist. For instance, the “insights” feature of the platform is virtually useless in its current form for data visualization. However, our account rep has kept us updated on any movement regarding that feature and assures us we will be able to test any new features to gather our feedback.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad has made it much easier for us to centralize our requests and maintain a comprehensive database of contracts. I frequently run reports to track important dates, audit, and clean up our metadata, and I’ve found it to be an unexpectedly effective tool for compliance-related tasks. Its all-in-one design has also encouraged users to turn to the platform whenever they need to locate information.

 ### 19. Versatile CLM Tool, Needs Improved Search

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I use Ironclad for capturing internal approvals and as a document repository. It solves our internal approval workflow and helps with versioning control. The repository is valuable because we can easily find what we need when performing audits. We can retrieve information and metrics for accounting purposes and revenue recognition. Also, it allows us to capture data based on negotiated terms within the contracts.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

We are really hoping to see increased improvement in the AI functionality, especially in the repository for the search functions of workflows. We'd like more accurate data retrieval whenever we are searching in the search bars. It was pretty difficult to migrate our documents from contract pod into Ironclad with clean data. The data dump was all drafts and final executed contracts, and it was hard to differentiate them without having to go through them manually.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ironclad for contract processing, capturing internal approvals, and as a document repository. It solves our internal approval workflow issues, enables versioning control, and facilitates quick information retrieval during audits.

 ### 20. Effortless Contract Management with Intuitive Design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rushi S. | Google Gemini AI Trainer , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

One thing stands out with Ironclad: it brings every part of handling contracts into one place without clutter. Its design makes sense right away, so getting started feels natural rather than forced. Tasks that used to take hours now finish quicker because routine steps run on their own. Legal staff and department teams exchange feedback smoothly, cutting down delays. Clarity grows when everyone sees updates live, not through scattered emails.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

A few folks might find Ironclad a bit much at first, simply because there are so many tools packed in. Yet after getting used to it, things start moving faster when handling contracts. Over time, both legal departments and company teams tend to get real benefit from how deep the system goes.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A single system ties together writing, sign-offs, and monitoring - cutting out scattered tools. Work moves faster when everything lives in one place. Seeing every deal clearly makes oversight simpler. Mistakes slip through less often. Efficiency grows without extra effort.

 ### 21. Innovative and User Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristene P. | Sr. Manager, Deal Operations and Pricing Strategy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The tool is easy to use from an admin and a workflow owner perspective. Wonolo's support team at Ironclad has been incredibly helpful when it came to implimenting the tool and answering any questions we have. They genuinely care about the adoption of the tool and want to ensure we are using it to its full potential.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

This is honestly the best CLM tool I have used in the 8 years I have been in the Deal Desk space. I have nothing but great things to say about the tool and the team!

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating an easy to use agreement workflow, which includes third party paper review and redline acceptance.

**Official Response from Mikaela Waters:**

> Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Kristene! And for being an Ironclad customer!

 ### 22. Highly Customizable Workflows That Fit Every Need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher R. | Sr. Contract Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The workflow build and configuration capabilities provide a high level of customization that allows us to meet all our unique needs.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There can sometimes be too many clicks required to navigate to a desired page.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of a complex contract build process allows many contracts to bypass the Legal review process, freeing our time for more critical work. We have scaled in our function without additional headcount. We also have better contract tracking, reporting, and metrics than we did with our previous two systems.

 ### 23. Assistant General Counsel

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I love the way that it allows our team to collaborate and to have real time updates. The activity feed is wonderful. The ability to edit in Word is an amazing feature along with the addition of Jurist to our toolkit.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The condition building process is often laborious

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve made several recommendations to make it more user friendly each of which have been addressed in updates.

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Setting up integrations manually and using the Ironclad APIs can be technically challenging. While documentation exists, it would be helpful to have more documentation and examples of real-world integrations.

**Reviewed by:** Frances D. | Legal Operations Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The most helpful is that we were able to integrate with Salesforce and use it as our front door, now we do not have to duplicate work and the contracts are created in both places.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I would like for the data features to be developed more so we can create better data reports.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are saving time not duplicating work or records.

 ### 27. Effortless Collaboration and Contract Review Across Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tulasi Vijaya Kumar T. | Product Management Mentor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Easy to do the comment reviews, red lines in the contracts and collaborate with teams across Product, RFP, Solution Consulting, Sales and Legal teams. It's easy to add/change signers and approvers.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

It is still dependent on integrations with other systems like procurement, billing, RFP systems and will be difficult to set it up for a mid-market company. The reporting capabilities are limited and need custom reporting.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Effective contract lifecycle management and collaboration with multiple stakeholders involved in a contract execution

 ### 28. Versatile and Cost-Effective for Contract Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany A.

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I really appreciate using Ironclad as it streamlines the management of our contracts, even though the initial setup was difficult due to the large volume of agreements. It remarkably helps us process an extensive number of contracts annually by efficiently executing these documents from start to finish. I find the functionality to create workflows very beneficial, as well as the ability to add and remove approvers, track terms, and generate reporting metrics which enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, I like that Ironclad offers integrations with DocuSign and Salesforce, which significantly enhance the execution of agreements and facilitate deal closures by our commercial team. The pricing and the supportive team behind Ironclad amplify my positive experience with the software. The flexibility in workflow creation is a standout feature that further justifies why I would opt to continue using Ironclad.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

{"The ability to copy and paste is sometimes unavailable.","It is hard to replace documents in fully executed workflows.","There should be the ability to change the order of documents that are going out for signature."}

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ironclad to manage a large volume of contracts efficiently, utilizing features like workflow creation and term tracking to streamline approvals and reporting, significantly benefiting our contract execution from start to finish.

 ### 29. Intuitive System with Great Features, But Custom Reporting Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I appreciate that they are always working to improve and genuinely listen to their customers by adding new features. As the Admin responsible for training all users, I receive positive feedback that the system is intuitive and easy to use. We also value the backend data we are able to access.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The backend data is not straightforward for the Admin to use when trying to generate clear, consistent reports, especially if we need something beyond the standard options that have been programmed. I attempt to use the data once or twice a year, but I still end up downloading it and relying on Excel, along with macros and pivot tables, to consistently produce the reports I need for SOX and other requirements.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad serves as our Contract Management System, helping us automate the process of routing contracts to the appropriate reviewers and approvers, as well as acting as our contract repository. We have been using Ironclad for nearly six years, initially starting with our commercial contracts. Now, we are expanding its use to cover all contracts within the company, not just those related to commercial orders. This approach allows our Legal team to review contracts across various departments, including sourcing, procurement, quality, and finance.

 ### 30. Efficient Contract Management, Stellar Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priscilla B.

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I find Ironclad incredibly valuable for its ability to streamline the capturing of approvals from cross-functional partners, which enhances collaboration across different departments. Additionally, having all documents stored in one central location significantly simplifies document management and retrieval, fostering better organization. I really appreciate the approval workflows as they are efficient in maintaining the flow of work, and the version control feature is outstanding for maintaining document integrity over time. The signature process is seamless, adding to the effectiveness of executing contracts promptly. Document retention ensures compliance with policies, minimizing risks associated with data losses. Ironclad’s integrations with software like Coupa and Salesforce are noteworthy, as they support both sales and accounting teams, enhancing cross-functional operations. I also have a great relationship with the support team, which is a significant factor in considering repurchasing the service in the future; their continued involvement contributes to ease of use and overall satisfaction.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I find it challenging that some functionality and features don't make it easy to search in the repository. This limitation hinders my ability to efficiently locate necessary documents or information stored within the system, which can be frustrating and time-consuming, especially in a fast-paced work environment.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the product for capturing approvals from cross-functional partners and centralizing our document storage.

 ### 31. Solid Features, Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia G.

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I find the redlining feature within Ironclad incredibly useful as it allows us to manage revisions and agreements efficiently in the cloud. The capability of keeping all communications organized and secure through the activity feed enhances our workflow significantly, ensuring that everything is contained within one platform rather than scattered across different ones. I appreciate that we can minimize download and upload because we can redline within ironclad, which streamlines our processes further. Additionally, the constant updates and support from the help center contribute to improving user experience with Ironclad.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I found the setup process for Ironclad very challenging. It was difficult to determine the correct resources needed, which led to wasting time and money. Even after engaging with an Ironclad engineer, it was only when we engaged an Ironclad recommended consultant that the process became much better. This initial setup experience was frustrating and inefficient with Ironclad alone.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad centralizes contract communications, eliminating multiple platforms and upload/download time. It helps organize and secure communications via the activity feed.

 ### 32. Effortless Sign-Off Process Makes Work a Breeze

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priyanka M. | AE @ Databricks, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The level of detail provided, along with the straightforward sign-off process between both parties, stands out.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I find the workflow chain confusing. It would be helpful to have visibility into who has viewed the document, both internally and externally, so that we can make any necessary changes.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been helpful for me in initiating NDAs for proof of concept projects, as well as establishing NDAs with partners to address concerns about data leakage and vulnerabilities.

 ### 33. Ironclad is ahead of any other approval system I use on my day-to-day work in the Licensing Industry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Celso J. | Licensing Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Intuitive UI with extremely fast response times are what, to me, makes Ironclad stand out against any other platform I use for work in the Licensing Industry. Most other platforms look and feel like vestiges of early 2000 internet design and functionality, with very low response times.

I use Ironclad on a daily basis and the alert and tagging functions are always making sure I am on top of my work and nothing is missed, which is really appreciated and also something that all other platforms I use leave a lot to be desired on.

The new and improved UI has already dramatically improved the search function with an easier and much more fleshed out search function, allowing me to filter my search to the level of granularity I need to find exactly what I am looking for.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Upon the implementation of the updated UI I have started receiving email via executed contracts workflows from people that have never been included in said workflow, spamming my email inbox with alerts on subjects that are not even related to me or the workflow.

Additionally, it is very inconvenient that I can only see the name of a commenter once I click the contract's Edit button.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad makes it much easier to review contractual T&Cs for a company like SEGA where the same contract is being reviewed across three or more groups of stakeholders located in different parts of the globe.

 ### 34. Recommended Across Multiple Companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew Howard A. | Senior Manager, Corporate Procurement, Food & Beverages, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

As a long-time power user of Ironclad, I’ve had the opportunity to leverage its capabilities across several organizations over the past five years. Throughout this time, Ironclad has consistently proven to be a best-in-class contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform, offering a seamless blend of robust functionality, intuitive design, and exceptional customer support.

One of Ironclad’s standout strengths is its ease of implementation and integration. Whether integrating with Salesforce, DocuSign, or internal systems, the process has always been smooth and well-supported. The platform’s flexibility allows it to scale with organizational needs, making it equally effective for startups and large enterprises.

The user experience is thoughtfully designed, catering to a wide range of skill levels. From legal professionals to business users with minimal technical background, Ironclad’s interface is accessible and easy to navigate. Its customizable workflows, automated approval routing, and powerful search capabilities make managing contracts efficient and transparent.

Ironclad’s feature set is both comprehensive and adaptable. The platform supports everything from contract creation and negotiation to execution and post-signature analytics. Features like dynamic clause libraries, audit trails, and real-time collaboration tools have significantly streamlined our contract processes and reduced turnaround times.

What truly sets Ironclad apart is its exceptional customer service. The support team is consistently responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive. Whether addressing technical questions or assisting with workflow optimization, their attentiveness and commitment to customer success have been invaluable.

In summary, Ironclad is a highly reliable and scalable CLM solution that delivers on its promise of transforming contract management into a strategic business function. Its combination of powerful features, user-friendly design, and outstanding support makes it an indispensable tool for any organization looking to modernize its legal operations.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Like any platform, Ironclad has its challenges. Feature rollouts can sometimes feel incomplete, with new capabilities occasionally lacking full functionality or requiring additional refinement post-launch. Additionally, training materials and documentation are not always up to date, which can create friction during onboarding or when exploring new features. Another consideration is cost scalability as user counts grow, the pricing model can become a significant investment, especially for larger or rapidly expanding teams.

Despite these challenges, Ironclad remains a powerful and reliable CLM solution. Its strengths in usability, integration, and support far outweigh the drawbacks, and the platform continues to evolve in ways that reflect a strong commitment to customer success.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad has helped us solve key operational challenges by consolidating multiple contract data repositories into a single, centralized platform, eliminating the inefficiencies of scattered storage and inconsistent records. It streamlines manual contract management through automated workflows, real-time collaboration, and integrated approval processes, reducing turnaround times and minimizing human error. Most importantly, Ironclad provides a single source of truth for all contract-related workstreams, ensuring that every stakeholder has access to accurate, up-to-date information across departments, which enhances compliance, transparency, and decision-making.

 ### 35. Ironclad Expert

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noor A. | Legal Administrative Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is a hub for all our documents current or past, I enjoy that it is a repository that can hold all our agreements within. I do greatly like how easy it is to navigate and locate key contracts and key contract terms. We've used Ironclad for years now and it has just gotten better and better through the years.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The one thing I personally dislike about Ironclad is the new workflow dashboard, when opening up a workflow within Ironclad, I preferred the last version of how it would look. I think now it made a bit of our sales team a little confused on how to properly add documents and share.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contract review and history stored within the activity feed. Sometimes we really need to go back and see what the activity was for a certain agreement and it is very helpful to see what we have approved in the past.

 ### 36. Great contract management system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravit A. | Project manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad has greatly streamlined and improved our contracting process at Teads. The platform is user-friendly, efficient, and ensures that every step of the process is logged and transparent for the relevant users. Ironclad provides us with a centralized, searchable repository for all our agreements, making it easy to find and manage documents. Their support team is responsive and receptive to feedback—they regularly update the platform to accommodate our requirements. Overall, Ironclad has made contract management much more organized and effective for our team.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The AI capabilities are not good enough. Also, we wanted it to manage also the legal ticketing but it's not 100% suitable for this. Also, the reports are very basic.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Searchable repository and contract lifecycle management and transparent in one place. Before Ironclad we had to manually search google drive for agreements and if we had to search back something that happened (any change in the contract for example) in a contract history, we had to do it through emails and it wasn't always there.

 ### 37. Long time user, super dissapointed

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathleen G. | Director, Legal Operations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Easy to manage workflows ourselves, simple UI for users, intuitive

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Insights is not remotely helpful. You can't export the full chart into an image for slide decks and the intended viewer must log in to IC in order to be able to see the full chart. You can't view the average / median duration of an approver or team in Insights and we have to connect IC to Looker and hopefully we will be able to give the basic metrics to our leadership. Impossible to reorder documents in the signature package or at anytime after the WF has been created. SmartImport property and clause collection is incomplete or wrong (20% wrong). Duration of time is shown in the repository in milliseconds and not labeled which is SUPER confusing and misleading for users. In document editor it is difficult to work in once you have many comments and edits and you have to download into Word. Word AdIn required Microsoft v16 or newer. Training materials are too high level and very out of date. Entity is going to be very time consuming to set up.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

contract submittal, review and repository

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Pricing is too high, support is inconsistent, and performance issues degrade the overall experience.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

E2E contracting for commercial Mx terms. I use it in my teams integration with SFDC.

 ### 39. Ironclad has been good to expedite our contracting process.

**Reviewed by:** Diane L.

I find Ironclad simplifies contract review, and the onboarding specialist has been invaluable in getting us set up properly from the start. I appreciate the ease of use, and having our signature block centralized in the system saves us from searching in shared drives where things are often incorrect. This centralization ensures everything is always current and saves time.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I would like to integrate it with other platforms like AP systems for monitoring milestones and validity of payments.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad simplifies contract review, provides audit trails, and manages multiple contract variations for different business needs.

Ironclad is simplyfiying the onboarding experience for my partner community.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris W. | Legal Counsel, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is simple and straightforward (it is also very effective out of the box), BUT it has significant power and capability beyond that. The interface for our end users is intuitive, and the legal team is doing more by doing less.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Would love an out-of-the-box integration with Jira. Some of the pricing has changed and doesn't meet our orgs needs as readily. Lack of support for clickwrap is frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Ironclad:**

Ironclad has been great to work with, and I highly recommend the product.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is helping scale our legal team. We can now provide more insight into the contracting process to our other internal teams. We can easily manage document signing, storage, and reporting with Ironclad.

**Official Response from McKenzie Gregory:**

> Thanks so much for the review, and good news: we do have a Slack integration! I've attached a link below to our resource on how to connect Slack and Ironclad.

 ### 43. Excellent Repository and Record Type Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kassie C. | Contract Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Repository and record types. Being able to create custom views.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Searching can be difficult in the repository. Creating updates in each work flow isn't the easiest task.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storing all the contracts in a centralized location for my company.

 ### 44. User friendly and innovative CLM platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ummu F. | Legal Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I love Ironclad. I have been a power user for over three years (from previous company and my current employer company). It has saved the legal team and other departments such as Sales, People Experience and Procurement so much time. Prior to Ironclad we were doing everything manually and was a tedious process ensuring that each change is checked and double checked. With Ironclad, all our templates are streamlined and integrated with Salesforce which removes the double entry and manual work.

We love the editing features and the new dashboards. It's so intuitive and user friendly! I find this to be the most user friendly CLM in comparison to the other CLM's that I tried out. Adoption rate is also high because it is such an intuitive system.

We also appreciate that Ironclad continues to work with their customers to improve their platform and add new features as they grow.

I have been lucky to be able to work with both companies that implemented Ironclad as it also means I continue to grow my Itonclad skills.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

With any CLM there are always rooms for improvements and I think the feedback I get most from the users in my current company is the repository and how this can be improved for better usage.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love the new insights feature! As well as the new introduction of turn tracking as this is something we were reporting on manually (by adding into the launch form). So having this new feature released soon, it will help with the reporting.

**Official Response from Mikaela Waters:**

> Thank you so much for this review, Ummu! We love working with you and are so happy to hear that Ironclad has saved you and your team time. We’re also happy to hear that you are loving Ironclad Insights!

Thank you, as well, for the Repository feedback. I've linked a resource from our Help Center outlining Repository features, including key improvements. Please reach out if this doesn't solve your problem so that we can better help you.

 ### 45. Advanced Features Shine, But Basic Usability Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The platform is intelligent and adds substantial value as a contract lifecycle management tool. The creators thought of excellent advanced features that simplify the CLM processes and add operational insights.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The platform is not mature. Basic functionality, such as the generic search, does not work well. The system is great with the advanced features, but basic usability is clunky and frustrating. Additionally, Jurist is not yet integrated with the platform, which is a huge disconnect.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It centralized and standardizes contract processes, which allows us to create and enforce uniform business rules across the organization. It also speeds up the contracting process and enables analytical insight by structuring key data.

 ### 46. Streamlines Agreement Execution with Powerful Search and Compliance Features

Ironclad is a tremendous platform for enabling teams to execute agreements quickly and consistently. The document repository makes it easy to search for a single document or multiple document types for a period of time. The ability to build approval controls into the workflows greatly simplifies compliance with approval requirements.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is very responsive to feedback from customers and is quick to update its system to address pain points.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad allows users to operate confidently with a high degree of independence which expedites the contracting process and minimizes the need for legal input.

 ### 47. Ironclad Simplifies Contract Review and Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad simplifies the contract intake, review, and approval process! I like the various options for workflows and the new data manager. I also appreciate that Ironclad is constantly updating and improving the system. Their release notes and webinars are very helpful. I also find the Academy very helpful in training myself and staff!

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Workflow designer can be tricky. Some basic steps are missing (ex. option to assign workflow to another internal party during the review stage). I also wish you could create workflow templates (and have changes/updates to the template "flow" to active workflows).

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing the review, approval, and signature process in one system. The repository has been lifesaving. Executed agreements are no longer in individual inboxes!

 ### 48. Helps Us Move Faster - Powerful Contract Management Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divya H. | Lead Technical Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

he automation features are fantastic. What used to take days now takes minutes. Ironclad really helped standardize how we handle contracts across departments, and the audit trail gives us peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Some parts of the admin experience still feel clunky, especially when updating templates or bulk editing workflows. Also wish there was more built-in training material for new users.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad helps us keep all our contracts in one place and makes the whole process way smoother. Before, we were stuck with emails, spreadsheets, and a lot of chasing people for updates. Now, we can track where a contract is, who needs to do what, and get things done faster. It’s saved us time, reduced back-and-forth, and made it easier for teams like Legal and Sales to work together without slowing things down.

It's ability to integrate with third-party tools allows for seameless process, and forces teams to think about creating/managing all of their contracts.

Ironclad's support team is phenomal and always quite responsive.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad needs to work on providing better reporting. In August, 2002, they released their Insights feature; however, I am having a hard time navigating that new feature.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration to make the negotiating and processing of all contracts to be faster and more efficient. As mentioned above, they recently released their Insights feature for better reporting and metrics.
I also appreciate Ironclad's use of AI for contracts negotiation, review, and redlining.
