"LeanData is my favorite vendor to work with"

What do you like best?

It's an easy to use in app solution which has replaced much of our SFDC automation. The graphical format is very useful for understanding and troubleshooting our setup. I also appreciate the ability to copy flows and quickly restore or apply temp automation needs. Audit logs are immensely helpful, and one-time routing option is something we use often. Basically the tool is a massive time saver! In addition, everyone that I've worked with at LeanData from our CSM to our IC and all Support staff is down to earth, highly capable, and incredibly responsive. It's so refreshing to not have to repeat myself in explaining our needs/issues to get things done (as with some vendors). I'm super happy with the solution and the support! Ten stars!

"Best B2B Routing and L2A Matching Software On The Market"

What do you like best?

Extremely flexible routing solution with easy-to-use FlowBuilder IF-THEN-LOGIC nodes. Can't scale a B2B organization without it. Can do complex L2A matching in real-time based upon any standard or custom field on the lead, contact or account objects.

Their ownership mappings and territory management ability make updating routing easy and painless.

SFDC Lead Assignment Rules and Marketing Automation hacks won't work as your organization hires and expands their territories.

Lastly, their support and solution consultants are friendly, knowledgeable and timely.

LeanData invests in their customers. It is blatantly clear and refreshingly rare.

I just attended their customer day, and you can see that from the top down.

I have used LeanData at three companies. Mesosphere is the first company where I've been the admin.

What do you dislike?

The LeanData Attribution Product is behind the industry leader, which is Bizible, but they are making significant strides. Still limited to the campaign object and can't segment out sales touches. Velocity and funnel tracking are works in progress.

Their attribution solution definitely adds value though because it does exist all inside of SFDC, which means if you have SFDC tied to your DWH you aren't limited to just their UI. They have different attribution models you can customize too.

Definitely an improvement over SFDC out-of-the-box or solutions such as BrightFunnel, which aren't embedded inside of SFDC.

"Routing along is worth it, account-based tools are an added bonus"

What do you like best?

I originally brought LeanData on for the routing functionality - it puts SF's out-of-the-box setup to shame. Easy drag-and-drop interface to visualize your setup, straight-forward, point-and-click rules, and only a bit of SOQL necessary when you really get in the trenches. The account matching is great, and insights you can pull from everything is a game changer.

What do you dislike?

The second time I purchased the platform, the onboarding process was a bit rocky. The first time was solid. The UI could be a bit more intuitive when accessing certain settings, and their documentation isn't as thorough as it should be. Support is always very helpful and responsive to make up for it.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure you plan and strategize as much as possible before implementing so you don't need to make a ton of ad-hoc changes after go-live.

Lead routing in Salesforce is a nightmare, and LeanData replaces it with a native application that makes it easy. It can also do Contact, Account, and Opportunity routing, which is something Salesforce doesn't even offer. The account matching functionality solves the Lead/Contact/Account problem as well.

"Best way to ensure follow up on leads"

What do you like best?

Easy to use platform with a visual flow map of where every single lead/contact/account/opportunity is routed. Their team is awesome and helps you set up your initial map. If you're like most marketing folks it's a visual flow chart that allows you to create your perfect automation flow for where a lead should go. I've used it for years and only seen better and better product year after year. One of the best part of leandata is the consolidated view of all your notifications that you're sending - it's been tremendously helpful to know exactly where a notification is originating from. We also love the auto convert lead to contact on customer accounts, it's been a game changer for our database hygiene.

What do you dislike?

Not really too much to dislike, I guess the main thing that could use improvement is the transition from lead to contact having a more clear routing pattern. Sometimes it's difficult to suss out what is going to happen to a contact that gets converted because they're on two different charts.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Mostly lead/contact routing. We've seen improved speed to lead times as well as better data hygiene with their merge duplicate capabilities.

"Actionable insights on your Salesforce database"

What do you like best?

Out of the box you can upload lead lists to identify what is/isn't already in your database. Once we set up our automated lead routing flow, we can now ensure both old and new contacts are in the right place, stage and owned by the right people in Salesforce so our sales team can do their job selling and not worry about data management. Plus, they have great consultants helping set up and succeed using LeanData.

What do you dislike?

Nothing to dislike. There may be a few things that are being tweaked to be equally useful in Lightning as it is in Classic.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We identified and cleaned up new leads and that way generated new opportunities and revenue. New leads are routed to the right people and place in Salesforce so we are saving time on administrative data management efforts. We also avoid any crossing and duplicate efforts.

"LeanData Automates Our Business Rules"

What do you like best?

LeanData has been an extremely valuable tool for us to translate our business processes into Salesforce. We have complex routing rules for leads and re-engaged contacts and LeanData allowed us to map and build these workflows in a matter of hours instead of spending weeks on custom code.

What do you dislike?

Occasionally we get questions from users about why something was routed a certain way. The audit tool works well for a technical user to diagnose but our end-users don't have the best way to get visibility into why something was routed the way it was.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're able to quickly and accurately route and assign leads and contacts for sales follow-up.

We're able to automate our post-sales hand-off of Accounts and Opportunities to the right people in our company.

The main benefit is this removes a lot of day-to-day sales ops works and automates it away instead.

"LeanData is my favorite software"

What do you like best?

There is no limit to what you can create with this routing system. When paired with the process builder it is extremely powerful. We have been able to build what looks like an extremely complex system, but is actually very logical and easy to follow.

What do you dislike?

Please, please, please bring back the ability to see who is up next in the round robin rotation and manually adjust this.

I would also love documentation on best practices for testing your routing.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you can no longer make the out of the box SFDC routing work. This is the best product to solve that issue.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have been able to cut down on the manual work involved around a traditional round robin system. The duplicate and lead to account matching have been great. We have been able to automate our distribution of leads.

"Making connections to improve Account-Based Marketing effectiveness"

What do you like best?

Great matching algorithm - LeanData fills a gap in Salesforce.com's Lead to Account/Contact schema and makes it easy for us to connect the dots for ABM. LeanData also highlights possible duplicates and makes it easy to merge.

The talented folks at LeanData are super-responsive and truly understand our business needs. They make sure we're up to date with new features and items that will help our processes, and can turn around config changes quickly.

What do you dislike?

I can't think of much to dislike - we use a very specific piece of the LeanData solution, so I know this is a narrow use case. I would encourage evaluators to understand the full range of what LeanData has to offer.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Account-based Marketing with Salesforce - route inbound leads that match to existing owned account/contact to specific owner and/or queue. Easy to spec out complicated routing rules.

LeanData's match between Leads and Accounts/Contacts in Salesforce fills a gap that allows us to dedupe across entities and also see marketing activity in existing accounts easily.

LeanData also helps us report much better on Campaign Influence and grouping parent and child companies together for aggregated reporting.

"Get the right leads into the right hands, right now!"

What do you like best?

LeanData has transformed how we do business by allowing us to route every single new lead to the right person within minutes of creation. We've brought down time to first response by 50% and have balanced pipeline between our Sales team

What do you dislike?

Very little! It would be great to have all routing on one unified graph or the ability to use formulas or field references to set field values but we have found workarounds to those.

If you need better control and insights into lead, contact, account and opportunity routing and assignment, check out LeanData. Ease of use and functionality cannot be beat.

We needed a better ay to route new leads to our sales team, control opportunity creation, prevent duplicates and balance territories. LeanData gave us that ability the first day we took our graph live.

"Misaligned CS and Sales teams"

What do you like best?

We've been a customer for several months at this point and lean data has delivered no value. Their support team is not client focused, their priority is following their internal "implementation methodology" regardless of use case.

What do you dislike?

Unfortunately, the sales and customer support team are completely misaligned. Their talented sales reps understand that LeanData should solve business problems, their customer success team does not. After several months, the customer success team is still unable to provide a list of technical requirements to get up an running or share an implementation guide. The team consistently does not respond to emails and prefers to schedule a call to answer any question. As a tech professional that wears multiple hats, THIS IS NOT FEASIBLE.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you run a lean team and need customer support, this is absolutely not the product for you.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

NONE. Working with LeanData means, babysitting. They are not proactive and have no interest in answering any questions outside of their "implementation methodology."

"Appreciating LeanData more with each process or staff change"

What do you like best?

Lean Data is a great lead routing tool, UI is easy to understand and use, amazing functionality and a lot of flexibility to support complex business processes.

We originally implemented Lead Data to address lead to account matching problem in salesforce, which works great. Now I’m seeing a lot of value in the lead routing function. As we grow and scale, Lean Data is saving a lot of time and effort and changes to the process are easy and painless to implement.

What do you dislike?

There are some features missing that could be very useful. I would like to be able to use variables instead of explicit values in both criteria/filters and in-field updates. For example, I want to be able to set rules with a specific date field <> today/tomorrow/x days from today but can only use explicit dates.

Have an ability to temporarily deactivate a user (on PTO), function only available for Round Robin Pools.

Cost can really add up if using multiple modules.

"I didn't realize how much time LeanData would save me"

What do you like best?

I am the primary user of the Routing module in SalesForce. I didn't realize when we were thinking of buying the product how much time this feature would save me. The Routing module has made my life as my company's SalesForce admin significantly easier. Routing was much more time consuming previously. There were multiple changes to our Sales team almost immediately after we implemented LeanData, and the ease of looking at the flows made it extremely quick to change routing to new team members and replace old ones.

The implementation team was also top-notch and very helpful, anticipating and solving several issues before they even happened.

What do you dislike?

Not much so far. The only qualm that I kept from giving a '10' as a recommendation is the cost, as despite the usefulness, this is a still a bit of a luxury given that.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Pay attention during the implementation to understand how the product works. I've gone from having to ask multiple questions at each stage to feeling confident that I can make changes on my own in a matter of weeks because of that.

Being the SalesForce admin at my company is a second job on top of my primary responsibilities, so any tool that reduces the time I have to spend managing SalesForce is a godsend. I would estimate that LeanData has reduced the time spent figuring out routing flows by at least 75%, not to mention making it easier to figure out why something did not route correctly when that happens.

"Essential for any B2B salesforce build"

What do you like best?

LeanData is Salesforce native. For us this means that we can easily report on the data the same way that we report on everything else without having to use a different tool. Also they are very responsive to feedback and ideas.

What do you dislike?

Biggest downside for us personally is that the Account scoring isn't as flexible as some of the competition. Also there is a steep learning curve, not so much for the tool itself but rather how to present the data from the tool in a way that is easy for traditional/non-ABM coworkers to understand.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure you full appreciate what it means to do Account Based metrics and attribution. I have found that it can be a hard transition for an organization to move from a traditional model to this.

"Best Lead Routing on the App Exchange"

What do you like best?

Complex, logic driven paths to route and score leads, contacts, and accounts. Auto conversion of Lead to Contact based on any criteria you set up. GREAT for Account Based Sales methodologies. Helps attach all prospects belonging to an account to that account and assigned to the proper owner. Also, The support/customer service team is great and very responsive.

What do you dislike?

The only thing I wish LeanData had was the ability to customize field mappings based on lead/contact mergers. This functionality is limited to newest or oldest records (based on last activity or created dates).

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Highly recommend LeanData for lead or account based routing. Hands down the best tool for a non-developer administrator to properly setup lead routing with de-duplication.

Routing inbound leads to the proper sales reps for immediate reach out. Organizing contacts under one account they belong to so the rep has a full view of all the people we have for an org.

"Best tool you didn't know you needed"

What do you like best?

LeanData fills a very needed gap in Salesforce...bridging the Leads to Accounts/Contact chasm. It's frustrating not knowing what leads you have relative to your accounts, especially if you focus on a specific account list of your own definition. From that LeadData provides great mapping and field updating automation that Salesforce doesn't do in many cases.

What do you dislike?

For the most part, there really isn't anything I dislike. They recently changed one view where I could no longer see where in the queue a round robin was, and who was next up (which relied on to be able to determine if the round robing was functioning as I intended) but feedback I've received is that they will be fixing that...crossing my fingers.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

From a lead standpoint, we have a relatively high volume of leads that are imported. LeanData helps clean up the ones we don't want to dilute our pool with (auto converts/merges to Contact if the Contact already exists), maps to the proper rep if there's already a lead from the same company assigned to a rep, and manages our round robin pool.

From an Account standpoint, LeanData helps us manage how accounts fall into what territories, and then updates the Account owner, as well as our assigned SE and CSM automatically.

These uses save me hours and hours of time, not to mention mistakes that usually accompany manual monitoring of these types of things.

"Great tool for any Sales Ops team"

What do you like best?

LeanData is a great tool that has helped us route leads more accurately and also clean up our Salesforce database by matching leads to contacts and finding dupes. We also are finding great insight from the attribution feature and finding out the impact of our marketing efforts on deals in the pipeline.

What do you dislike?

I would love to have LeanData run an auto covert of all new leads into our system and also allow us to run actions off of the list analyzer rather than just give me a CSV telling me there are matches.

"LeanData takes the guess work out of Lead management"

What do you like best?

The tool is absolutely amazing in how simple yet powerful it is at matching, attribution, and routing. It's so reliable I can set it and forget about it - it just works. And honestly, when there is an issue, it's usually a data problem rather than the tool itself having a bug or some issue with its logic.

What do you dislike?

I'd really like to use the territory management tool, but it's difficult and time consuming to setup for a large organization.

We need our leads to funnel into SFDC and route correctly based on complex rules and guidelines. Lean data does this accurately, smoothly with users having no idea the tool is even working in the background to serve up leads to them.

"Most robust SFDC L2A tool out there!"

What do you like best?

- Drives revenue by identifying connections between previously disconnected data

- Smarter, more visual lead/account routing

- Automated scrubbing

- Multi-touch attribution using SFDC campaigns

- Record-matching algorithm is sometimes too rigid/simplistic for companies with more custom SFDC instances

- Because of the complexities LeanData solves for, it can take a while to explain the business case and gain consensus from non-operational execs

We looked at several tools, and LeanData blew them all away in terms of features and knowledgeable support.

- Account-based marketing: As my clients' marketing/sales teams develop target prospect account lists, any inbound leads that match companies on those lists get immediately routed to the owner of the targeted account in Salesforce. An email notification also gets triggered to the sales rep, alerting them of the match made. This functionality is eliminating the time and human error associated with lead scrubbing, as well as ensuring prospects are getting followed up with by the sales rep that knows the most about that company's account.

- Record routing: Salesforce native lead assignment rules are the pits. My clients' sales ops personnel are continually blown away by the capabilities and ongoing updates to the LeanData routing tool. Any integration-created lead/account is now automatically scrubbed and routed to the most appropriate owner. This has been a huge time-saver especially in terms of account routing, since there was no way to easily automate that before LeanData.

- Salesforce reporting flexibility: LeanData comes with new report types that connect previously disconnected objects, allowing users to see new relationships and develop better insights. For example, we can now run a report to see a sales rep's top high-value targeted Accounts with any matched Leads, giving the rep more contacts to potentially connect with and sell to. We also have much more flexibility in building reports to show how Campaigns are influencing pipeline & revenue, including multi-touch attribution.

"Restored faith in lead routing"

What do you like best?

We used to use Salesforce standard lead routing and the leads were ending up with the wrong people, we would have to change them every time someone left or joined the company, it was clunky and we had no way to tell if they lead should be attached to an existing account. With LeanData we can route leads to strategic account owners without the extra step of a manual process. It was a one time set up and our onboarding agent did a great job of arming us with the knowledge to make changes as we see fit. We can be agile when we need to load balance the team, work with ramping reps and change routing for PTO all in one place. The contact routing has also been very beneficial for the same reasons.

What do you dislike?

Very minor, but you can't add a token to a task creation through the platform

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Automated routing, less manual effort by operations checking if the leads went to the correct place. No manual effort by a rep or operations to distribute leads from a queue or incorrectly assigned leads.

"Best routing tool out there"

What do you like best?

I personally love the customization and automation that it provides for me. You can set up rules that are as complex as you need or as simple as you need. It's an amazing tool.

What do you dislike?

The set up is slightly complex. It takes quite a bit of time to think through the rules needed for routing and it's not intuitive to know when to include quotes or commas, etc in your logic. I also don't like that there doesn't seem to be a way to set up vacation time automatically.

Solving lead routing and buyer persona tagging. It's made my life easier because I was having to manually route leads for some time.

What do you dislike?

Being within SFDC as an app, the user interface isn't great as it can only take up a portion of the page - meaning lots of scrolling/zooming. That said, there isn't much LD can do about this.

While there is a great feature for version control with routing graphs, I wish you could provide comments for each deployment. This would help provide more context into what changes were made for each deployment - very important when you have a couple admins who can make deployments.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

There are multiple players out there that claim to offer a similar service, so just remember to do your due diligence and understand what vendor makes the most sense given your needs.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We've been using LeanData for lead-account matching, lead routing, and data management. The fuzzy matching from leads to accounts is impressive and much better than anything custom built in-house we've had. For instance, it navigates around personal emails well (gmail, yahoo, etc.). This enables us to perform complex routing logic that supports account-based initiatives. We used Marketo prior to LeanData for managing routing, which was fine for round robins. However, the moment we wanted to incorporate territories or specific accounts, it became difficult to manage. LeanData handles this very well. Lastly, LeanData includes a great de-duping feature for leads/contacts which helps us keep our SFDC database clean.

"VERY important to our workflow!"

What do you like best?

I really like the ability to do a list analysis prior to actually bringing in Leads. We do this a lot, to check for dupes in big "iffy" lists, and then bring in only the good stuff that isn't matched/duped.

What do you dislike?

It can take a bit longer than parts of our workflow can accommodate. So, we can't always use it. It's not bad (about 7 minutes for our leads to run through it) but, for known-high-quality leads, we'd rather just push them directly to the rep to manual-check and get on that outbound call. That said, it's checking a lot of data, so the delay is understandable.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have a team of Business Development Reps that work leads before handing them off to Account Executives. We get a lot of low-quality leads (action not required within 10 minutes) and, with LeanData, we can push those through the dupe/match check, so that BDR's don't have to spend a lot of time manually checking.

"4th time customer "

What do you like best?

As 4th time customer of LeanData I can say that I always have perceived LeanData as extention of my Operations team. Onboarding and CSM teams have always been there for me. Besides easy to use Routing Tool they set standards on how to measure marketing attribution. It can be as simple as to show # of opportunities marketing influenced till more sophisticated multi attribution models. They are on a journey of having full visibility of marketing and sales contribution to the business and I'm happy to be part of the journey.

"LeanData is the best player in the Marketing Hub techstack!"

What do you like best?

We use LeanData as the tool to take over after Marketo has created leads in SFDC. It matches them to accounts, de-dupes, converts leads to contacts, assigns owner, updates information, etc.

Everything, then drops it into our SDRs buckets and they take it from there.

We have pretty sophisticated Nodes within the routing module due to some leads matching to accounts and going to our Outbound SDR team, while others enter a round-robin queue set for our Inbound team.

The LeanData UI is intuitive and our node-tree has doubled in size within the past few months. Their CSM support is also STELLAR and one of the main reasons why we appreciate the tool

What do you dislike?

No complaints - can't think of any that come to mind, the product meets all functionality and needs and their support is top-notch

What do you like best?

We are implementing LeanData Lead Routing and to say I'm excited is an understatement. During our testing, we tried our best to break it and it answered every single time. The platform is extremely easy to use and configure. More importantly, Kevin Au, our success manager has been an incredible partner throughout the process. Within one week of our project launch, he had configured 75-80% of our workflow on his own. Additionally, he has enabled us to configure the product ourselves so that we are empowered to make changes as needed without requiring additional assistance. I can't say enough about how positive an experience this has been!

What do you dislike?

Nothing so far...this is WAY better than lead assignment rules in SFDC, so I have no complaints.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I'm especially excited about the Lead to Lead Matching, especially as it relates to our Round Robin queue. This was a big problem for us last year and one of the main reasons we chose to go with this product.
