I made the title of my review 'The Instagram of Construction Management' because using Procore really is that easy. I am a Project Accountant for a Construction firm in NJ and I do all things billings. I really like the schedule of values functions, and billings against sub contractors on projects. If i have any questions, the live chat from Procore is extremely helpful - I lived on that when I first started my job and needed help with Procore questions. The configurablility is a little nuanced at times. We are a firm that was manily using excel files for our schedule of values, subcontactor schedule of values, change order managment, payment receipts, etc. While we are not fully implemented yet, the main thing holding us back is the lack of configurabliity. I personally think the 'payments received' heading for prime contracts in financial management is really elementary, compared to the excel sheet we have been using, belive it or not. While that is only one example, it sums up Procore in a way. Sometimes the software given is really basic, and if you want to configure something further, you need to pay for the better package, or have someone at Procore do it for you. It seems like everything just gets tacked on after a while, which is a little discouraging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about Procore is that I can showcase my skills and earn FREE certifications, which will advance my career and academic journey. As a young, black, and female student, Procore provides professional development and courses that are industry-recognized and earn AIA credit if you are a member! Procore offers such a great way to learn more about my industry through real-world examples and lifelong learning through free access to various in the construction industry. Here are two things I dislike about Procore, not all courses, but some courses aren't well organized or very long. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I thought the walk through of all Procore has to offer as a user was incredibly useful. If you are willing to read and follow along with everything presented it will be incredibly helpful. Having access to all of the teachings on a lesson by lesson basis makes things easy and is well implemented. Access to a live chat is wonderful and the customer support is fast. Ill likely use the tools displayed daily so being able to reference those lessons when I get out of practice with something is essential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The lessons were a bit too dense. Anyone who is checked out and has to do the lesson just to fulfill a requirement will have too easy a time skipping through everything. having questions that a bit trickier and more hold points forcing engagement might be useful. As a Superintendent, I love that it is a one stop shop to view everything and anything in the field whenever I need it. User interface is very friendly. Drawing markup is a huge advantage over some other softwares, especailly being able to link almost anything to a specific drawing and compare between different drawings or revisions of the same drawing. Procore is a software that anyone can use. The training options and community gives you all the info you need, and if there is still a question, Procore Support is easy to communicate with. I don't believe there is anything to dislike, but if I had to pick something for this review, I'd displike the layout of the meetings format. I think the layout could be a little more visually appealing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how it's user friendly, and buttons are labeled easily. I enjoy the Procore Learning Center, which helps me when I am unsure of how to start or edit a task in Procore. I love the new feature of adding a workflow process to the invoicing procedure. I am highly appreciative of how the platform allows multiple users to engage and utilize the software but with permissions set in place keep the right data in privacy mode only for selected users. I have noticed for when I am doing accounting processes in Procore, it tends to round up to the nearest penny and throws off my totals. I do like the new views but as someone who constantly crunches number I prefer to see all my numbers in one screen without the need to scroll horizontally to the far right. The Procore platform is robust yet nimble. The platfrom allows you to customize your expience to match your companies current workflows/standards while still allowing for various automations and time savings. Needless to say it is extremely easy to integrate into your day to day workflows. We implemeneted Procore several years ago and have grown with the company, it took time to adjust but overall we are up and running with very few hiccups - and when one does come up their support is second to none. They have chat services that are avaialbe all the time to assist. We use Procore on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Procore is very powerful, however at times the powerfulness if lost in translation to the foreman of subcontractors - meaning that there is a learning curve. In my expiernce we have taken some of the least tech literate indivudals and gotten them to a level of using Procore for simple tasks. It can be done, but it depends widely on the indvidual and their motivation to learn. Procore has the tools and resources to help them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Procore is an amazing tool that streamlines the documentation and data entry processes effectivley and is simple to use once you get the hang of it. Procore is used daily for our project by everyone including consultants, subcontracors and the entire management team. Due to its practicality it is the backbone of our administraton processes and easy to implement and intergarate into the jobsite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can be complicated to learn and understand. I am in my early 20's and have grown up using computers etc my entire life. I am a lot of the time the go to for support with Procore onsite becasue I picked up the processes quite quickly however, there are still some parts that stump me at times. I can also see how the software could be over whelming purely due to the amount of features there are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Procore is very helpful to project management and communication because it has many tools to utilize and is easy to navigate. The implementation across a company is very beneficial and multiple users can access the infomration needed in one program. Also having an app and being able to use on-site or on-the-go everyday, is very convienent. Being in a large company, we were lucky to easily integrate this platform to our projects and be sure employees could benefit from all its features. The training videos and customer support were a key factor for getting this up and running accross departments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There have not been many issues to using this program and anything that does come up, has been easily solved or navigated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its a "One Stop Shop" for everything project management and is very easy to use. It keeps all of your important documents organized and streamlines communication. It was easy to implement and the customer support is top notch. I literally use it all day every day and would not know what to do with out it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only minor improvements I think Procore could make are:
1. Make the document section sync with the documents on your computer easier. It would be nice to save a document straight to Procore in lieu of saving on your computer first.
2. Integrate Smartsheet into the scheduling tool. I think there is a way to do this but I think Procore and Smartsheet would make a good team! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest things for myself in making the jump to Procore were that you can really customize the tools to fit to your company proceedures and there is usually more than one tool to do the job. I also really like the constant updates/upgrades that Procore is committed to providing to keep up with the ever changing technology space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wish mobile could be utilized more on the company level and the interface could be managed by an office admin and pushed out to multiple field users and their projects. Asking the field crews to organize the tools each time they go to a new job does not go over well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
