## Tray.ai Reviews
  ### 1. An Integration tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omji P. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Can integrate the workflow easily without any prior knowledge of the platform.
Easy to maintain the workflow once created, has got this feature that sends the email if any error occurred into your platform.
Can use AI (Merlin) to build the workflows and get the help from AI to integrate the steps into the workflows.
Ease of implementing the workflow is quite good.
Customer support is also good, getting the response from the support team is quick too.
Frequency of usage is good because of lot of features.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

The AI should be more smooth although the AI is pretty good, but it needs more finement.
Also the documents should be more descreptive.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building the workflows to integrate the data from one platfrom to another seems easy with using this platfrom. Using this platfrom is quite understandable. No need to go through the documentation.
Sending data from one to another is good.

  ### 2. Easy-to-Identify Logs and Audit Trails

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

To check for the logs and audits of any events that are easy to identify

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

That the UI seems cluttered at times for a new user

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By being transparent about the logs and activities which in turn is very useful for debugging and fixing

  ### 3. Tray for amanging worflows and integration with Salesforce

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raman M. | SDE, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

We use tray for lead routing across all regions by setting up customised rules. Loved the new AI integration features

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

It's a little complex rule to be used if you are new to it. Also it can't be used if the lead routing rules are complex

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Tray at Docusign for managing the lead routing

  ### 4. Easy to use platform for any kinds of cross application integrations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

We can track all logs and also we can retrigger if anything fails from third party

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

If Tasks are long in case of loop, difficult to check

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Don't require to write seperate code for third party integrations

  ### 5. Powerful tool with great UI features to make automation easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The UI is great in my opinion! I love being able to clearly follow a diagram that shows how the pieces interact with eachother and being able to drag-drop is fantastic. Tray is one of the few/rare tools that allows for quick start-up and is overall intuitive so that junior technical staff can hop in and field some requests with little training.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Overall, we really love the Tray platform. The cost is a consideration, but have not found a tool to do the job better.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray is great for mapping APIs to work efficiently together. We've used it for projects like Gift Card Platform migrations so that numbers from our legacy system could still be checked/validated/redeemed.

  ### 6. Tray review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie T. | Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

It's a reverse ETL tool with drag and drop features so it can accommodate a lot

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

There's definitely a learning curve while figuring out some functionality

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray was helping to orchestrate data pipelines that couldn't be solved with an ETL tool alone

  ### 7. Tray makes it easy to automate workflows between technologies in a scalable way

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan P. | Manager, Technical Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

I like using Tray. I've been a user since the beginning! The UI has received many updates and they've all been really helpful. I like that you can create a workflow, easily copy it and repurpose it for other services. It because of the powerful template capabilities and nodes that we were able to scale our data sync service to our own customers!

The success of implementing Tray in our business has enabled us to increase customer satisfaction, rentention, and close deals without the need of high effort and expensive code creation. It's a great low/no-code platform.

Their support has also been instrumental in our success. It's much appreciated!

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Currently I'm not experiencing any downsides; however, I've only ever used Tray.io, with some minor experience using Zapier, Workato, and MS Logic Apps. With my limited experience of similar platforms, I don't know if I'm missing out on something but Tray suits our needs and is reasonably priced so I haven't had any reason to dive into other platforms so far.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Data sync between various CRM platforms and UserVoice
- Scalable, repatable processes no matter the volume
- Integration testing
- R&D

  ### 8. Incredibly flexibly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

I like how flexible Tray is.
The implementation of its features are in a way such that things just work as you'd expect it to. Theres not many places where you have to do things a certain why and its not clear why.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Theres a few places where you need to do things a certain why and its not documented why.
Examples are mainly from the solution editor of the embedded platform.
1.) when setting up a data mapping from a ddl. If the operation requires any extra inputs, the inputs are shown as their id's instead of their names. the list is also not searchable so one must scroll. The order in which you click them also matters.
- solution would be to have the number of inputs the connector operation requires appear as individual drop downs, and you select which config goes into each slot individually

2.) when changing auths (as in keeping the same connector, just changing the selected auth) it prompts you to change all similar auths, but when you select yes, it potentially misses auths. Theres also no way to quickly identify which auths didn't get switched

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

integrating different components of tech stack together

  ### 9. Overall a mixed bag.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Allows us to connect our systems beween Shopify and an LMS solution we use.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

We reached out to the customer support team and never heard back. It isn't easy to reach anyone at Tray.io in my experience. It could be easier to setup failure alerts when a synch encounters issues.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It acts as a connection layer between our Shopify storefront and a learning management platform that contains courses, so when users purchase on Shopify the item is then populated into their user account in our LMS.

  ### 10. Depends on Skill Level

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris R. | Technical Program Manager & Outbound PM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Incredibly flexible way to customize flows. Interface that helped me to visualize the process

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Difficult to get other people to understand and use it too.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating other platforms into salesforce. AI assisted workflow increases accuracy and decreases time. Also, less frequent switching between apps seems to decrease user fatigue.

  ### 11. Tray.io makes us more dynamic!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew M. | CRO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

I love that it allows teams to maximize their API's, expanding the dynamacism and relevance of a core product without extensive dev work. In my experience, it's made products more adaptable, and allowed us to focus valuable engineering resources on more frutiful products.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

You are passing data through a third party, which can create some security issues in certain instances. However, because of the work Tray has done with partnerships, that concern is often mitigated.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray.io is allowing us to easily yet comprehensively connect to integration partners, and to also put our customers in a position to fully utilize our API. This puts our product in a better position within the customer's tech stack while also allowing us to provide better ROI by solving for more use cases.

  ### 12. End to end automation and integration solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enrico S. | CEO, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

* Intuitive and easy to use (especially as a technical person, it comes naturally)
* Comprehensive logging and log search capabilities
* Flexibility in any situation

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

I'd like to see more pre-built tools for common business scenarios.
Two specific ones that come to mind: parallel execution which waits for all threads to complete before proceeding further and request trickle for APIs that allow low throughput

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray.io helps bridge the gap between software applications through automation and integration.
It helps build businesses based on composable enterprise patterns where you choose the best SaaS tools for the job and then orchestrate them together with the use of Tray.io to obtain a unique business advantage.

  ### 13. Powerflow integration workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gareth L. | Deputy Head of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

We receieved great support from Jash, an architect who helped us build out initial workflows. There are a lot of different connectors that will allow you to integrate with lots of different services.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Customer support with the support team via email was not instant and it was some times dragging on for days due to timezone differences sending 1 message per day back and forth. This may have changed now as this was based on experiences a couple of years ago.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray.io allowed us to automate sending messages into Slack off the back of webhook events. It also enabled us to sync employee data from a HR system into our system.

  ### 14. Worst vendor experience

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

It did allow us to go to market faster with two integrations. But the cost of maintenance has already severely eaten into that advantage.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

In the last few months, Tray has managed to delete our users, attempt to recover them, and fail -> certain customers could not access the Tray embedded integrations that are available to them due to Tray errors.
Tray's inability to change the timeout of the embedded layout to more than 5 minutes, meant that we had to add over a month of work to our timeline in order to build the UI ourselves for a very common use case: mapping CRM fields.
Tray's inability to allow us to edit the 'Finish' button for authentication means that our customers STILL see this awkward first step in the integration for authentication saying 'Finish' even though it's only the first step of the integration.
For its Salesforce connector, Tray requires FAR more permissions to the customer's Salesforce instance than we require in the integration itself: we only need read access to the specific objects that the customer maps, but Tray asks the customer for a lot more data access, to the point of 'View All Data' within Salesforce. Tray also asks for permissions to manage flows, which is ridiculous for an integration that only requires read access. Tray has made it a lot harder for us to build and ship integrations for customers, instead of easier. Our engineering team is exhausted at having to deal with Tray, and regret the decision to proceed with them as a vendor. They have changed our CSM several times and recently the only reliable person we've encountered at Tray (he was technical and answered our engineers' questions) has left the company. They keep trying to upsell us professional services in order to help 'guide us' to use the embedded app properly - but we have not learned anything in interacting with them that we did not know before from the documentation.
Further, their documentation has been incorrect, leading us to believe that more customer-side permissions are required than they actually are. Please spend some time ensuring your documentation is up-to-date, instead of trying to sell clients more professional service hours.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray embedded's value proposition is to make integrations easier + faster to build and launch, with low code.

**Official Response from Christina Tarver:**

> We sincerely apologize for the frustrations and challenges you have encountered while using our platform. We take your feedback to heart and want to make things right. We have reached out to you directly to discuss these concerns and find ways to address them. We remain committed to providing you with the best possible experience moving forward. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience with Tray.

  ### 15. Best Automation for Enterprise Clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jithu V. | Revenue Operations Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The best thing about tray.io is Merlin AI chatbot

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Pricing is pretty heavy for a SME and single users

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating my business and well as managing API has been very easy after we started using tray.io

  ### 16. Automation Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kian Z. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

-So many connectors, very easy to get connected and setup
-So much flexibility with branching and looping
-No-Code/Low-Code/Lotta-Code all in one place.
-Far more flexible than Zapier while also not being as easily accesible to those outside Operations.
-Mandatory Foldering
-Incredibly helpful Support Community
-Daily/weekly/monthly tasks become one time builds

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

-Things that feel like out of the box stuff isn't there. Delay nodes longer than ten minutes and the like, easily done in Zapier but not here.
-Usage Based Pricing Model (but everyone uses that nowadays)

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray solves lead routing/alerting/data manippulation and cleanup process for us with ease.

  ### 17. Great partner for Risk, Vulnerability, and Incident Management automations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan M. | Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

We primarily utilize Tray.io for our Risk, Vulnerability, and Incident Management automations. The platform offers an array of tools and integrations that enable us to swiftly respond to various situations. While it provides valuable functionalities, there are instances where developing the right solution can be a bit complex. However, we appreciate that the Tray.io team is actively working on improving user-friendliness, and regular updates are helping to address this concern.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Some integrations can be less intuitive, demanding a more in-depth understanding of the tools to effectively implement them. Despite this, Tray.io remains a reliable and powerful automation platform for streamlining our processes in Risk, Vulnerability, and Incident Management.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray.io helps us with the integration of tools and the automation of repetitive steps that require more attention when scaling or resolving an incident. It's causing a great improvement on the resolution times.

  ### 18. Simple and easy setup for automation tasks.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Simple and easy setup for automation tasks.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Limited supported software compatibility.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of manual processes.

  ### 19. Enables IT systems to automate without the overhead of code management.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Tray provides the ability to create advanced automation (usually within the ETL sphere, at least for us) without the need for a huge staff to provide upkeep in addition. As opposed to something like cron jobs writing out to an external logging service, Tray takes care of all of this by putting it all into one workspace.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

As a senior engineer with some dev experience, Tray does some things a bit more "complex" than they need to be. I understand the need occasionally, as it's made for non developers to get their hands dirty - however there's some room for improvement around the ability to do certain tasks. A small example would be APIs payload returns sometimes don't play nice with Tray, where Tray will want to make something "static" or "fixed" yet the live data says otherwise, etc.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Takes workload off of code lifecycle management
- Simplifies deployment processes
- Removes the need for code / package standardization
- Simplifies work ingress and execution through user logs.

  ### 20. An experience that continues to improve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

I enjoy the interface and how you can use the connector snake to map values. It's also really powerful and is constantly improving. I've used Tray for a few years now and it's constantly improving and becoming more innovative. It's also cut down on a lot of development time.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

The downside of Tray is if you dont have embedded it's limiting to the capabilities of your workflow.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

automating internal business processes and integrations. It cuts down our development time and dedicated resources to build hardcoded integrations.

  ### 21. It is ease to use and very trustworthy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajay S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The workfllow they have to design the business requirement.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Somtimes the flow looks busy. But when you do expand and colaps. It will work.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using to update the payment.

  ### 22. Not quite as easy as pitched, but easy enough a marketing person can learn it.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon B. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

They have continued to build connectors to work with different platforms we use, and their team that interacts with users on Slack is responsive and awesome! We were able to connect PestRoutes, which does not normally integrate with most other platforms, with HubSpot and several other tools.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

It was a little more complicated than initially anticipated, but it is still fairly easy to use. Their pricing structure also has changed several times over the past year, which has made it somewhat more difficult to plan for. However, their support team is great to work with.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray helped us bridge PestRoutes to other tools like Hubspot, Google Sheets, Podium and others. We were able to make data go back and forth between the systems.

  ### 23. Great tool for rapid development and agility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The pre-built connectors make authenticating and using APIs a snap. It is very easy to make quick changes, test them, and get value immediatly.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

As with any product there are sometimes things I think can be better, but overall it is easy to find workarounds for things if needed.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating with a variety of platforms in a common way.

  ### 24. Tray.io is a versatile and easy to use platform for any kinds of cross application itegrations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jakub S. | Softwere Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The connector system is very convenient, with addition of a JSONPaths the integration process is easy and fun to use. Platform itself is suitable for everyone with a basic understanding of APIs and networking. But can also be used for more complex issues with use of custom scripts.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

The main downside is a time of execution and the history of logs. To get the output you need to switch between "build" and "logs" sections to obtain the data received from connectors. The logs also need some kind of hierarchy (e.g. when using loops or booleans) to achieve a better readability. The documentation also could be more detailed.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows to create all types of integrations between two or even more applications. It is very flexible and practical. All the logic is placed in one place and the developer doesn't need to jump between APIs of different applications.

  ### 25. Effectiveness of a complex, sophisticated tool, but extremely user friendly!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Our AM team is incredibly responsive and helpful. Tray routinely has webinars for both new and pre-existing feature that enhance our team's understanding of the paltform. On top of that, Tray's platform is straightforward to learn and use, even for those in non-developer roles.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

There isn't anything I don't like about the Tray platform. If there's anything we don't know how to do, our AM team is very responsive or their documentation clearly defines and explains what we're looking to do.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Tray platform connects our entire financial ecosystem (5+ systems). On top of that, we're starting to utilize the Tray platform for more niche solutions outside the finance department.

  ### 26. 10x your productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Tray.io is extremely easy to use and very stable. It simplifies complex data integration / ETL tasks by providing a transparent, reliable glue layer between systems. The confidence and increased speed of development this provides will quite literally 10x your productivity.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Log and error management still needs some work. Currently, we use the Slack integration to broadcast error notifications in realtime; otherwise, it's too easy for workflows to fail silently.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Tray for ETL and integration between many internal and 3rd party systems. In the modern era of Open APIs, interoperability is paramount. Tray makes this extremely easy.

  ### 27. Say Yay to Tray!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leah N. | Systems Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The tool is simple and easy to learn. The customer service team is very responsive. Jacob Fuller is THE BEST!

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

The documentation is not always current.

**Recommendations to others considering Tray.ai:**

While the product is very easy to learn and implement, I would still recommend establishing a standard for the design and deployment with your organization.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving data between SimpleLegal to Coupa/Workday. Workspaces are the BOMB! It makes moving between development and production much easier than moving between environments.

  ### 28. Solid and Flexible Platform for any Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William K. | Solutions Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Tray strikes an excellent balance between ease of use and technical prowess. If you have some basic understanding of coding principles and can work with APIs, you can quickly build and iterate automations. The UI makes it really easy to fix issues, and once you understand how the individual pieces take and distribute data you can build some very intelligent tools. Most of the connectors have options to make direct calls to a service's API, so if there are endpoints that need special attention you can build a nuanced request. For other services the ability to use HTTPS or GraphQL with a user-provided auth gives us options that would have been very difficult to achieve.

We have also found that we can rely on the Tray service. We've been running regular automations for years without interruption. Even with event-driven automations processing thousands of requests daily, we haven't had failures in the Tray service (which is way better than most of the APIs we deal with). We have a automation for automatically swapping SSL certificates on client sites that we've been running on Tray for almost two years. It has never failed to handle it, and that's critical for our clients who need their sites 24/7.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

I wouldn't say anything missing is deal-breaking, but there are a couple of features I'd like to have. The way that individual nodes handle errors can be a bit irksome. Generally, the simple pass/fail scenario is fine, but there are times when I would love to build conditional states into the nodes directly. For example, you might have a connector node with one API that then passes data to another API. Sometimes the first request will differ slightly, and cause the second one to fail. We ran into this with Dropbox. If you requested folder contents you would get slightly different responses depending on if you were on the first page or anything after the first page. The only way to deal with that was to build a separate branch to handle it. I'd love to handle that kind of conditional difference in the node, instead of having all sorts of conditional branches with their own nodes.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've fully integrated Tray into our own app for our clients, effectively whitelabeling the solutions we build in Tray. One of the key pillars of our strategy is a connected ecosystem in the marketing tech space, and Tray is playing a pivotal role. For the most complex integrations, we bring in partners who are experts to build. That is quite expensive, and we had a wide array of technologies that wouldn't be worth integrating at that cost. We had the option of bringing in engineers to build individual connections between our app and others, but the risks didn't seem worth it. We would have needed to foster knowledge of those APIs, keep them up to date, and manage all the devops around that. That's a viable strategy, but it didn't really make sense when we had the option of just bringing in Tray and using it as infrastructure.

Tray has been great for filling in the integrations within that realm. We've been able to build out a healthy library within a few months. We didn't need engineers to do it, just a couple people with good knowledge of data structures and APIs. We can do it at a cost that makes sense for our clients, and we're seeing quick adoption of our solutions with immediate ROI. The true value we've found is the ability to find and remedy issues or add features. The infrastructure of Tray lets us make updates and push them in real time. This has been critical for us to adapt to the nuanced needs of our clients. It's also opened up a whole new business for developing custom solutions for clients. We can offer it at a cost that makes it reasonable for them, but gives us a healthy margin. Over the long term we expect the custom solutions to contribute equally with our general ones.

  ### 29. Tray.io bridges the gap between our tools by collecting, transforming, and sending data across tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer R. | Sr Customer Success Data Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Tray.io supports various use cases to interconnect data across various tools. Due to its ease of use and multiple integration connectors, we have successfully implemented Tray as the critical connector tool to automate the data flow across Intercom, Salesforce and other key tools in our Tech stack.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

It can be difficult to interpret failed steps in a workflow and identify the most optimal fix, especially when it comes to hitting rate limits in a bulk update job. It would be great if Tray.io could provide recommended fixes to failed steps/executions to apply to the workflow.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray.io helps us sync critical fields from multiple Salesforce custom objects every time a field change occurs to enrich the user profiles of our customers in Intercom. These fields are vital to our real-time campaign targeting criteria and personalization in Intercom. Tray.io also helps us sync campaign interactions from Intercom back into Salesforce as activity tasks. This helps inform sales reps and CSMs which nurture touches our users and accounts are receiving and engaging with.

Drag, drop and configure. It's as simple as that.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

We have experienced some failures in certain connectors.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick integration of over hundreds of apps. Being a startup, completing PoCs quickly for various apps is crucial to us (Read as releasing an app's integration in a week's time)

  ### 31. Great product with lots of room for growth

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Easily create an automation workflow and set it up.
Troubleshooting and Slack communication is very active and helpful

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Limitations like data storage limits and file size limits.
Sometimes the connectors are out of date, so offering raw/manual options on all connectors will be helpful.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily to spin up a server to automate a solution without needing to deploy a solution.
Easy to iterate on the solution and has helpful logging of events for troubleshooting.

  ### 32. Great platform. Very flexible.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piyush P. | Chief Strategic Business Development Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Tray allowed us to move quickly to test out different integration approaches and partnerships. Without it, learning and Develpoment on new platforms created roadblocks.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

A few things were challenges. On our side as it was not globally available yet when we started using it we had to limit na until other centers were added. That's resolved now.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to enable our customers to flow data from their systems to our platfrom.

  ### 33. Most adaptable and solid feature for automation and collaborating

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarvesh P. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

It is one of the most excellent and intuitive tools for the assortment of data, arranging and sending them through various servers and other integrated platforms. The software Tray.io also supports assimilation with multiple connectors. The software also includes some features for designing and creating all the workflow processes required for completing tasks.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Sometimes the documentation procedure in this platform is a little bit slow or lags when using integrated connectors. Deploying integration with some heavy software is laggy in the workflow.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many of our workflow processes are automated with this platform's fantastic features, which made it easier for my team to work more accurately. The software was excellent and helped us remove all the issues and barriers we experienced while integrating.

  ### 34. Tray.io is Cool 👍

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avi C. | Technology Operations Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

User interface is great for people who don't have an extensive background in software development, but still have value to bring to the dev process. Tray.io allows those people to get a foot in the door of software development.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Lack of detailed documentation on some connectors. For example, some text-helper actions error out if the input contains an empty string or 'null' value. Edge cases such as these are not always called out in the documentation. Requires trial and error to understand exactly how a connector functions.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Small wins for the Operations team that the technology team did not have the bandwidth to take on. Allowed us to implement some simple workflows that made a large difference in scaling our operation and improving efficiency.

  ### 35. My weapon of choice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason A. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The breathe of tools available, the documentation, the templates that if don't exactly fit will give you ideas for how to implement problem solving solutions.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Whilst the step logging is great and alerting workflows useful sometimes I just want to see a text log of everything firing , or not, and access it from outside the platform.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

* Real time ochestration of team collaboration between disparate business groups who want to stay in their own tools, for instance Asana (PM) and Jira (Dev).

* Optimising and standardising working practices of e-Commerce business (Store, Inventory, Freight, CRM)

  ### 36. Great UI with amazing features and numerous connectors to integrate

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Tray.io is a great tool. The UI is amazing and very easy to understand. You can create workflows for various purposes and integrate with different connectors for specific APIs. You can see the logs right away in a different tab and with respect to production support it really intuitive to figure out what's happening within the workflows.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Better version control for workflows is something I would like to see in tray.io. When multiple developers work on a single workflow, there is not version control with in the environment. A better way of version control can include code review section as well so that one version does not mess up with another. Second one is if there is a huge amount of data flowing in the workflows, we get to see only some data in the UI. There should be an alternate approach if we want to see the whole data. It is nearly impossible to track the issue if some issue occurs in the "not displayed" data.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It definitely easy to track down the logs in the UI rather than moving to a different log tool and yes I am more productive as it saves me a lot of time. The tech support is great and they are willing to go to a great extents to solve issues.

  ### 37. Love it! Easy, powerful, reliable.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | I, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

I love that it's so easy to get workflows going. A simple workflow could be running in 5 minutes. Or if you want to go nuts, you can map out an enormous one over a few days and then dazzle your users with what it does. In my case, I've automated multiple IT service desk workflows. There are products that do the same thing out-of-the-box and they are extremely expensive. Bots that collect approvals, grant access to Okta apps, reset passwords for you... It's possible to build that myself without one single line of code in Tray. Their customer service is also amazing. I opted for the premium support pack so I have 8 hours a quarter where I can work 1on1 with a Tray expert to knock out really complex stuff... or just get a 2nd set of eyes to sanity check my work. Every ticket I've raised (I can count on 1 hand) has received excellent support where the support rep actually cared about the issue and thought about what could be going wrong and how to fix it. That may not sound amazing, but in the world of SaaS, there's a lot of bad support out there... particularly from the developers who have grown "too fat" and lost their customer zeal. Lastly pricing... I also looked at Workato when I bought Tray. I couldn't go with Workato in the end because they had an inflexible pricing scheme that honestly would have cost a huge chunk of my budget before I even had any workflows going. I needed a path to "grow into" the workflow tool and build out the value before I started paying major high prices. Workato refused to add any flexibility for my smaller usage and so we both walked away from the table. Tray was able to offer a package that met my needs and my budget, and I am so thankful that they did. At a relatively small startup, I am ecstatic to be growing with Tray.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

There are some elements of Tray that are a little more raw than other automation systems, but they're adding features fast and closing that gap. That said, I'm able to accomplish what I need to... see adequate logging to track what the automation is doing and dive in when something goes wrong. All things considered, I regret -nothing- in my purchase of Tray.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation - stitching APIs from different systems together in flexible ways. I'm a department of 1 and so any automation I can create saves me precious time to work on more complex issues.

  ### 38. Tray.io review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

It's nice to visualize workflows and quickly test proof of concepts. Easy to connect to various API's.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

The business model just doesn't seem to make sense. It appears overprices compared to the likes of something like Retool.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to solve business problems, from a low code perspective. Quickly build scripts without code.

  ### 39. Extremely powerful platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacques M. | Technical Solutions Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The fact that the platform allows you to easily and quickly implement a solution that would much longer through coding.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

There are still some limitations on some of the connectors, but you can still set up your custom http query.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to quickly ramp up and proof certain solutions and Tray.io is perfect for this scenario. It also allows us to easily implement new Production solutions.

  ### 40. Seriously transformative for our business!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil R. | Digital Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Tray.io has allowed our business to automate processes which previously would have required scripting or deep knowledge of a platform. As a business, we have been able to unblock process bottlenecks that have existed for long periods of time and easily update workflows as required.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

I would like to be able to select multiple steps within a workflow rather than moving them individually, but I can absolutely see this as being part of a future update.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating awkward processes via API that previously would have been manual, which has allowed us to overcome some of the limitations of the platforms we've been using.

  ### 41. Low Code - Intuitive - helpful community - wonderful support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

I like being able to perform complex functions with data by connecting platforms in an effortless environment. I also love how open the tray community in slack is. How many companies have a slack community that's public AND have a product feedback channel?

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

There isn't much to dislike. Sometimes something doesn't work out in a solution but there's almost always a workaround and there's always someone around to help you find that answer/solution you're looking for. The things i dislike are mostly due to how APIs are architected with the platforms you're using when building out tray workflows and solutions.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray is reducing the effort needed to build integrations and in turn reducing barriers for our customers.

  ### 42. Robust and flexible workflow automation tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The flexibility of the platform is unmatched! It's also relatively simple to use. Everything is composed visually, which helps with organizing and tracking workflows.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Auditing/troubleshooting a workflow is more complicated than it needs to be. There is no way to easily track references between steps in a workflow without checking each step for a reference.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray.io is eliminating much of the complexity of integration and process automation without limiting functionality. It allows my team to set up automations for clients that enable their businesses.

  ### 43. Great product and awesome support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin D. | Web Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Ease of system and great customer support. The whole tray.io team is extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

So far, nothing. I've been extremely happy with everything.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are connecting our big commerce with our LMS.

  ### 44. We tray, and we manage!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cedric H. | Regional Integrations Manager - EMEA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Tray.io's flexibility and the Support Team.
Tray.io is really powerful in terms of connector diversity, and also thanks to their easy way to design workflows: the designer is between too friendly & too complex competitors designers; an excellent balance.
The Support Team is always here to help and always keen to listen to our business cases to see if there are ways to improve the Suite of connectors or even more to offer always more to us & to all on the platform.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Some tech limitations we need to workaround.
That's basically tied to our business when we have sometimes a huge amount of data to process; we are facing technical limitations directly tied to AWS limitations actually. We always managed to found a workaround to manage to build our workflows, though, and sometimes with the help of the Support Team more than happy to dive into our business cases specificities.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offering in-house prebuilt integrations to our clients.
Using the workflows we've built, our customers speed up their onboarding process and avoid spending extra money with 3rd parties or wasting internal team efforts to build their integrations between us and their ERP.
We do maintain the flows from A to Z which is a real advantage when we know sometimes that's really complicated to get partners making some small changes in the code...

  ### 45. Best iPaaS platform on the market!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dakota F. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

The workflow builder is top-notch and the connector offerings is far greater than any other solution I've worked with. Their embedded product enables our team to efficiently and effectively deliver integrations while significantly reducing the time to market.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

The documentation is sometimes lagging behind connector updates. Other than that I don't have anything I've disliked so far. The support has been superior to other vendors I've worked with in the past and a vital part of our immediate success with Tray.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are integrating third-party applications with our software to enable our users to connect all of their marketing channels. Time to market is the biggest benefit we've realized to this point, we can act on an integration use case request in no time now thanks to Tray!

  ### 46. Makes it much easier to automate Marketing Ops

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Drag and Drop workflow that is reasonably intuitive, vast connector selection, dependable backend

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

History/Version control is not intuitive enough and lacks a diff feature.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves gluing 3rd party apps with our Marketo Automation and CRM stack.

  ### 47. Comprehensive platform and great purchase experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

There are a variety of ipaas vendors out there but I found that the combination of feature set, connector availability and the approach to doing business was superior with Tray.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

You should watch out for trickiness in available features of different packages. We did a proof-of-concept and though that we had all the capabilities in the package which we purchased, but it turned out later on that we were missing some key functionality.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tray is allowing us to connect to far more platforms than we would have been able to had our engineering team been responsible for developing each integration from code themselves.

  ### 48. Good

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Facility to build and debug with a good speed

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Don’t have automated tests and ci/cd integration

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration between systems

  ### 49. If Tray.io isn't the future of integration, I think I'll stay back here.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas O. | Salesforce Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

Tray.io is an incredible piece of software. If I were to tell someone 5 or 6 years ago that I create integration between our internal systems, they'd think me a genius, which is not at all the case. These fellows are clearly at the forefront of the declarative development trend, allowing people like you and me to develop with clicks instead of code. Tray helps you to create some truly unique solutions which would have required hours upon hours of work from a full-blown developer just a few years ago.

That's all just the tool, which is excellent, but you can't give a good review without mentioning the support you receive. The support I have received has been incredible, regardless of the simplicity of my request. The team that is at the support desk know what they are doing and convey that very clearly in their communication, especially in the little videos they send to help you solve your problem. On top of the support, customer success and sales is also a pleasure to talk to, being attentive in every conversation and helping in every way they can.

Tray.io is an awesome tool and is essential if you're looking to optimize your internal business process flows.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

It takes a while to find something to dislike, of which I don't have anything to mention. Any requests or things that I would have liked to see were presented to me in a roadmap discussion, so yet again, keep it going.

**Recommendations to others considering Tray.ai:**

It may be daunting at first glance but don't be fooled; Tray.io is far simpler to use than you'd expect. Of course, there are more challenging to implement cases, but the support team, as well as their knowledge base, is there to help.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Tray for several things, automated user management, loading data from multiple streams into a database for centralized marketing reporting, multiple systems updates, etc. Honestly, a big part of what I have built has made my daily life easier, not needing to concern myself with simple tasks and focusing on bigger things, like more Tray flows.

  ### 50. The best flow app I have ever experienced

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinicius S. | Digital product analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Tray.ai?**

What I like the most at Tray.io is how simply is creating a flowchart, giving us the possibility to integrate any system. The documentation is also simply to read and understand, even for someone who is not a developer, but needs to know a little bit about technology.

**What do you dislike about Tray.ai?**

Sometimes, some integrations are hard to develop.

**What problems is Tray.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our transactional communication and all integrations with Shopify. We can connect all of our systems, from the logistics till the final tracking communication, bringing and updating all of the status.
