**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really enjoy how convenient Slack is, since it lets me quickly get to the pages I need to communicate with specific people. I especially appreciate the channels feature because I can separate projects by name and easily stay in touch with everyone involved. I also like getting notified when I have a message so I can make sure I follow up promptly. The huddle functionality is also very helpful for holding meetings right from the platform, simply by pressing the headphone button. Then you could invite whoever you want and talk about any conversations that need to be elaborated on or have impromptu meetings. I also really enjoy the catch up button because it allows me to catch up on things that I might have missed very quickly. I also like that I could separate out different workplaces. For example, I have an HR workplace for my HR people and I have a management workplace for all of the managers. It makes it very convenient and then you can even create channels within these workplaces that make it even easier to keep track of separate projects.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes it's hard to find previous information when you're looking for something. It can be hard to sort through all the channels and all the conversations to find what you want. The search function works okay, but I think that it should have enhanced features in order to find specifics like, if you're looking for something that's been mentioned many times in different areas, some way to narrow that down.

Slack lets me communicate with many people at once using video and different channels. It helps me share and receive information efficiently. I can talk to so many people at one time. Share a file that everybody can see, get feedback and have a conversation so we don't have to have a ton of different emails going back and forth. It's all in one thread.

Slack is very easy to use, its quick and efficient while not costing too much. It helps drive quick communication in the back office. The Channels help create different spaces where teams can communicate as a whole which is super helpful. The screenshare feature is amazing for troubleshooting things. In general it is one of the core tools we use in our day to day operations. Support is super helfpul and easy to reach, they helped make our initial set up hastle free!

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I wish there was the option to search for a specific setting and having it pop up, instead of having to manually search for the setting by scrolling through the settings menu, clicking through the tabs. I wish there was an integration that made sense for us, currently there is not.

The UI is very intuitive, so onboarding new team members is quick, and features like threaded replies and message search save a lot of time when trying to find past discussions or decisions. I also really appreciate the integrations connecting tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and project management apps keeps everything centralized and avoids constantly switching between platforms. Performance has been reliable even with multiple channels and active conversations, and notifications can be customized well so I only focus on what’s important.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I can make different channels, as per the working responsibilities, and can also make reminders for my own work. Slack also includes options where I can link this app with different apps, so it is more flexible and easier to use. It performs well even if there are loads of messages and never lags, though I have never used any AI on slack, so cannot say much about it, but the best is it gives a lot of features with the pricing they have. While onboarding new employees it is easy to add them in the ongoing channels. AI or intelligence on Slack isnt much used by me but I think if we can link ChatGPT with slack or any other AI it would be good.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There isnt much that I dislike about Slack, but I think it should have any good AI or intelligence that can help us with any grammar mistakes while sending the messages. Also I think there should be some buffer time before sending the message so we can cancel in between in case we have send wrong message. I also think slack should provide us the ability to see the profile pic in large rather than small ones for the accounts on SLACK.

Slack is very useful as it helps in communicating with cross functional team, internal team, yeah we can also huddle and share screen which is also a very good feature given by Slack, in short it is benefiting us in all ways that it could to run smoothly.

We wouldn’t use any other tool for internal messaging. As an admin, I’ve found the integrations with the rest of our stack to be solid, pretty much everything we use plugs into it in one way or another. Search is decent as well, especially when you actually need to dig something up. Huddles have also been a nice addition.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The admin side could be a lot better, and the pricing structure is also a bit annoying. The plans feel like they’re designed to push you into the next tier whether you actually need it or not, and the per-user cost adds up quickly.

I tried their AI features a while back and they were pretty rough. I’m not sure if they’ve improved since then, but at the time it didn’t give us any reason to stick with it.

It mainly keeps everyone connected without drowning us in email. Channels help keep conversations in the right place, and people can dip in and out of whatever’s relevant to them. That’s a big deal when you’ve got teams spread across different functions.

It accomplishes the jobs of many tools in one. It goes beyond communication and I actually use Slack for Project Management for a small team, without any other PM tools. That makes it an incredibly good tool for the price.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the UI is confusing, like when Canvases are linked to in places you don't expect, or when they open in new spaces you don't expect them to. Maybe that's more about how I'm using certain features, but sometimes the organization of features doesn't make sense to me. Overall, it's still easy to use, though, and that's not a huge roadblock.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well-organized project communication and project management/task management. It's benefiting me to accomplish this within one tool instead of multiple tools. This is a big benefit for a small business/small team. Some businesses/projects' complexity may require more robust project management, but for me, it works great to accomplish multiple needs with one tool.

Using Slack is one of the best options for communicating with the whole team. You can simply message people or set up a meeting with just a click, which makes it easy to reach everyone quickly.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how it keeps day-to-day work moving without the need for formal check-ins or long email threads. I mainly use it for project-based communication, and having separate channels for different pieces of work makes it much easier to keep the right context in one place.

The biggest benefit for me is how quickly things get resolved. If I’m working on a Power BI report or dealing with a data issue, I can ask a quick question in a channel and get feedback almost immediately, rather than setting up a meeting or waiting on email responses. That alone speeds up turnaround quite a bit.

I also use it often for sharing working files and links, especially Dropbox links to reports or datasets. It’s much easier to drop something into a channel and get input than to send attachments back and forth.

I also recently discovered a lot of personalized custom app-integration workflows that I can set up. These work best for use cases where we created an org-wide support app that people can use in DMs for all the queries they have, with specific routing tools that send requests into the right sub-flows. It helped our org saving much time in terms of efforts & resources & improving overall experience of employees to get their queries answered. Loved the onboarding documentation for it too.

I love being able to directly DM someone, especially since I don't have everyone's contact information. Right now, you can't assign specific permissions to a group of people. For example, I want to assign certain additional permissions to my sales team, but I can't do that. I would like to have that flexibility like we have in Salesforce. Another feature I would like to see is preventing guest users from downloading any files inside Slack. Right now, the only way to do it is by having separate phones for the organization and personal use, which we don't do. So it's either you disable file downloads for everyone or not just for guest users, which is a problem. Lastly, recording Huddle is a feature I'd like to see because sometimes the transcript doesn't pick up all accents properly, especially since our team is based across the globe. With a recording, we could go back and check what was said versus what the transcript writes.

I use Slack to keep track of everything in one place, improving team efficiency and reducing the need for meetings and lengthy emails. Slack connect channels make it easier to communicate with clients globally, and it's great for finding past conversation details.

Slack solves scattered communication by bringing all team conversations, files, and updates to one place. It reduces email overload and improves real-time collaboration. What stands out about Slack is its clean, channel-based organization and real-time messaging, which makes team communication more structured and flexible. The channel-based organization in Slack keeps everything neatly grouped by project, team, or topic so communication doesn't get mixed up like in email threads. Real-time communication in Slack makes messaging immediate and dynamic, allowing team members to ask questions, share updates, and resolve issues instantly without waiting like for email responses. The setup of Slack was very easy and quick. I give it a 10 out of 10 for recommendation.

Important messages sometimes get blurred in fast moving conversation. Slack could improve by having a stronger pin/highlight system to allow setting priority levels to messages so key messages stay visible at the top.

The search functionality is very useful for finding past messages and files quickly.

Slack can become overwhelming when there are too many channels and active conversations, making it easy to miss important messages. Notifications can also be distracting if not managed properly. Additionally, the pricing can get expensive as teams scale, and performance may slow down slightly in large workspaces with heavy usage.

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication across emails, meetings, and multiple tools by bringing everything into one centralized platform. It helps teams communicate in real time, organize discussions by channels, and keep everyone aligned on projects.
