Slack has been a really great communication tool in my experience, especially compared to other apps in the market. It’s very flexible and handles large group channels smoothly. I particularly like the channel threads they help keep different topics organized so conversations don’t get confusing.
Starting a group chat is also quick and easy; you can simply find people and begin chatting right away. The status feature is another thing I appreciate, setting away or other statuses is fast and very user-friendly. Overall, Slack feels simple to use while still being powerful for team collaboration.Huddles are also very useful because we can quickly start a call or small meeting without scheduling. One thing I don’t like is the notification behavior. If a notification is received on my mobile app while I’m working on the desktop, I sometimes don’t get the same notification on the desktop. Because of this, I occasionally miss some messages.
Apart from this issue, my overall experience with Slack is still very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Slack is how fast communication moves. In a remote sales job like Tribe Wellness, speed matters because leads, objections, and updates happen all day, and I can get answers from managers or teammates immediately instead of waiting on email. It also keeps everything organized in channels, so I can quickly find scripts, product info, and past conversations to improve my calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly don’t really dislike anything about Slack. There are a lot of messages and notifications throughout the day, but in a fast paced remote sales environment like Tribe Wellness that actually helps me stay updated and responsive. Overall it keeps communication smooth, organized, and makes it easier to get support when I need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Slack is very intuitive and immediate: it allows me to respond promptly to every request from my clients and/or colleagues and, consequently, to be more efficient in my work. I also appreciate the ability to have multiple workspaces, each separate from the other; this way I can communicate individually with all my clients using a single app. I find it useful that Slack immediately sends a notification when a new message arrives, because it gives me the opportunity to respond quickly to both clients and colleagues who are part of the various workspaces. The setup was very simple: I received the email with the link from individual clients, some require two-factor authentication for added security, and everything worked immediately. Moreover, I use it both as an app on my phone and on the PC, and this makes it really convenient, because I can respond to messages even outside the office and always stay in touch with clients. I would definitely recommend it to a friend or a colleague: it is really a good product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how Slack is easy to use, fast, and secure, making communication more efficient than email. The clean UI provides exactly the features we need, and the good search capability helps in finding old messages and files easily, which makes troubleshooting easier. File sharing is safe and simple, and the mobile app is also good. I appreciate the integrations with tools like Jira, Zoom, and GitHub, which enhance our collaboration. Features like huddles and immediate Zoom chats are very helpful, and the ability to track comments and progress on Jira tickets is great. Bots are helpful for notifications, and I like the status feature too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes there are too many notifications and disturbances, which can shift my concentration away from work. The mobile app is laggy at times, and messages take a while to sync. Also, I feel there's a need for more AI features, like spell check, AI helpers, and rephrase options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Slack for making monitoring much easier because alerts appear instantly in the relevant channels. I don't have to shuffle between dashboards or tools; Slack centralizes all the alerts and monitoring notifications in one place, turning it into the single place where issues surface. When an alert fires, my team can immediately discuss the issue in the same channel, which removes delays caused by switching tools and improves incident response time, helping minimize downtime on the e-commerce sites. The initial setup of Slack was very easy and straightforward. I'd rate it a 9 out of 10 because Slack does an excellent job of centralizing the alerts, improving team collaboration, and integrating well with other tools. Too many notifications at times when multiple monitoring tools send alerts at once, channels can become noisy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Slack super useful for team collaboration. I really appreciate the fast and efficient search that lets me find past conversations easily. The channels are great for organizing specific projects or topics, making it easier to stay focused. I like the chatbot for in-depth conversation summaries, which help me keep up with everything. Features like agentforce agent deployment are pretty neat because I can have my Slack ask the agent to perform specific tasks without needing to open my org. The mobile-friendly design is a plus, making it easy to stay connected on the go. I also enjoy the new emojis which add a fun touch to our interactions. The Recap feature keeps me up to date with my cases so I don't miss any priority cases. Setting up Slack was very easy, and I would definitely recommend it to others. I asked Slackbot to schedule a direct Google Meet with my client and it didn't work well. Slackbot lacks there. Once I give email IDs to Slack and ask to schedule the meeting, then Slackbot should automatically take care of it. Integration with Google Meet, Teams, Zoom would be helpful. Slackbot should automatically choose the channel specified for collaboration and schedule the call. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slack is easy to use and doesn’t require much thinking. I open it in the morning and use it throughout the day without really noticing it. Conversations are split into channels, which makes it easier to follow topics and not lose context.
I use threads a lot because they help keep replies connected to a specific message instead of cluttering the whole channel. Search also works well. When I need to find an old message, a shared link, or a file, I usually find it quickly. The mobile app is reliable and works almost the same as the desktop version, which is useful when I am not at my desk and still need to reply or check updates. It can become noisy if you are part of many channels. Without adjusting notifications, it is easy to feel distracted or miss something important.
In very active channels, messages can get lost if they are not pinned or followed up on later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slack has truly transformed the way our team communicates. What I love most is its seamless integration of channels, threads, and apps, which keeps conversations organized without feeling cluttered. The real-time collaboration and instant notifications make it easy to stay connected, even across different time zones. I also appreciate the search functionality — finding past conversations or shared files is effortless.
Beyond productivity, Slack has a human touch — the GIFs, emojis, and custom reactions make work interactions feel more personal and fun. Overall, it’s not just a messaging tool; it’s a central hub for collaboration and knowledge-sharing, and it has genuinely improved our team’s efficiency and engagement. Slack is good for collaboration, but notification get overwhelming in larger team's.
The free plan’s message history limits and slightly complex interface for new users can be a bit restrictive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It keeps conversations organized. Instead of drowning in emails, everything is split into channels, so you always know where a conversation belongs and why it exists. You can jump into a discussion, skim what you missed, and respond without that “I’m already too late” feeling.
The speed is a big win for me. Quick questions get quick answers, reactions replace unnecessary replies, and decisions don’t drag on for days. At the same time, it doesn’t force real-time pressure, you can respond when you’re ready.
I also really appreciate how well Slack integrates with everything. Calendar updates, file sharing, task tools, reminders everything flows into one place instead of being scattered across tabs and apps.
And lastly, Slack somehow makes work feel more human. Emojis, status updates, threads, and casual check-ins create space for personality, not just productivity. It feels like working with people, not just systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Notification overload- It’s easy to feel constantly on. Between channels, threads, DMs, and mentions, notifications can pile up fast and become distracting if not managed carefully.
Due to too many channels - Over time, workspaces can turn messy. Channels get created and abandoned, conversations repeat, and it’s not always clear where something should be discussed.
Important messages get buried - Critical updates can disappear quickly in busy channels, especially if people are chatting actively or reacting a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Slack for day-to-day communication with team members and sharing files. It's very easy to use for online communication with people in my organization. I love its customization options, like starring channels and adding people to VIP lists for quick access to those I communicate with most. Creating channels for different teams is a breeze, and the integration with ServiceNow is super helpful for notifying about urgent cases. I can instantly see if someone is online and share info in channels efficiently. The @channel feature is handy for urgent communications, and when I post incident numbers from ServiceNow, Slack instantly provides a link. This really helps us work more efficiently and solve urgent issues promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The translation feature seldom works; sometimes it translates the message, sometimes not. And sometimes even if it translates, you have difficulty finding it. It is challenging in multicultural and multilingual environments, as the translation option does not work all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
