**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is one of the most effective platforms we use in our day-to-day activities. Its performance is never compromised, even when we’re having conversations with multiple users while running video or audio calls at the same time. Learning Slack’s features is straightforward, and the UI is pretty easy to understand.

The AI features keep advancing day by day, helping with things like summarising context, rephrasing, notifications, and more. In terms of integrations, Slack can be integrated and authenticated with many applications such as Okta, Google Calendar, Jira, and many others. Customer support and onboarding for new users are also very effective and easy to go through.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Threaded conversations in Slack are easy to miss, and I sometimes find it difficult to retrieve or follow the group conversation afterward. Slack should provide host control for video call.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves my daily communication needs with instant messaging, audio calls, and video calls. I can easily see which users are online and quickly share information with them. The smaller features in Slack—like status, notifications, pinning conversations, and VIP members—are also genuinely useful. Overall, Slack helps me share information quickly in any medium, create group chats instantly, and move or pass information from one thread to another, which makes day-to-day collaboration much easier.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It feels less like a formal work tool and more like a personalized communication space for the team. The UI is clean, friendly, and easy to use, but what really stands out to me is the way Slack lets people communicate beyond just plain text. Emojis, reactions, GIFs, quick replies, threads, and huddles make conversations feel more natural and expressive, especially compared to more formal workplace tools.

I also like how customizable and flexible each chat or group can be. You can pin important documents, keep useful links in a channel, react to messages, organize conversations in threads, and make a workspace feel specific to how your team actually works. Even the profile experience feels a little more human and less corporate, which makes day-to-day communication feel lighter.

Another big plus is the number of integrations. Slack connects well with tools we already use, like Gmail, Lattice, and other workplace apps, so updates and workflows can come into one place instead of being scattered across multiple platforms. Overall, Slack makes collaboration feel faster, more connected, and more personal without losing the structure needed for work.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Honestly, there is not much I actively dislike about Slack. The only thing that sometimes bugs me is that Slack has so many features that I feel I am probably not using it to its full potential. For example, I would like to use Slack more as a personal document organizer or link organizer, but I do not always know the best way to set that up or build that habit.

It would be helpful if Slack prompted users more proactively with learning paths, tips, or use-case-based onboarding. For example, if someone frequently saves links or pins documents, Slack could suggest better ways to organize them, create workflows, or use features that already exist. So my issue is less about the product lacking features and more about discoverability. There is a lot of value in Slack, but I would appreciate more guidance on how to unlock it.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of keeping official communication easy, quick, and organized. It helps me stay connected with my immediate team as well as the larger company without communication feeling too formal or scattered. Instead of relying only on emails or meetings, Slack makes day-to-day conversations more intuitive through channels, threads, quick replies, reactions, and huddles.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

In my professional use of Slack, it has been one of the most-used communication platforms for sending and receiving important messages, sharing information, posting team updates, and more. Slack has an intuitive UI and visuals that make it easy to access all of its features. Slack’s upcoming AI features help me rephrase context and support other tasks as well, like taking notes. Slack’s performance is not compromised; it’s reliable, and I can pick up my chats right where I left off. The quick integrations with other platforms, such as Okta verification, Google Calendar, and Jira, are promising and effective. Overall, Slack supports my day-to-day work and helps me get things done more easily and onboarding new user is very easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack notifications are very easy to miss, and sometimes they feel difficult to retrieve unless I remember the specific conversation or the team members involved.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves my day-to-day problems by offering audio and video conferencing, an instant messaging platform, and support for screen sharing and presentations, among other features. The ability to prioritize my conversations and team members is both effective and useful. Being able to lock business conversations, or create instant group chats for quick access, is very supportive from a business perspective. Pinning important messages is also very helpful in my day-to-day activities.

Slack completely transforms how teams connect. The UI/UX is clean and intuitive, which makes onboarding feel effortless. Where it truly shines, though, is in performance and its flawless integrations—it acts as a central hub for our entire tech stack. While the pricing is premium, the ROI from seamless collaboration and the built-in AI/intelligence search feature makes it worth every penny.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

When you in multiple channels the constant pings can quickly feel overwhelming and disrupt deep focus. Also the desktop app can be quite resource heavy sometime noticeably eating up RAM especially if you have multiple workspace open simultaneously

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the chaos of fragmented communication by replacing endless email chains with organized channels. Its biggest benefit, for me, is how it centralizes the tech stack: real-time tool integrations and automated alerts stream directly into the workspace. That cuts down on context switching, keeps projects transparent, and makes cross-functional collaboration feel fast and fluid.

What I like best about Slack is how effectively it declutters our daily internal communication. Moving conversations out of messy, endless email chains and into organized, topic-specific channels makes finding past information so much faster. It keeps the whole team aligned, and the threaded replies keep discussions focused instead of chaotic.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The biggest downside to Slack is the sheer volume of notifications, which can easily lead to digital fatigue. Because it operates as a real-time chat platform, there is often an unspoken pressure to respond instantly. If you don't aggressively manage your status and notification settings, it can quickly morph from a productivity tool into a constant source of daily distraction."

Slack solves the problem of internal communication silos, which is especially tough for a distributed team. Before using it, vital project updates were frequently trapped in isolated 1-on-1 email chains. Moving our daily discussions into dedicated channels has broken down those barriers. The biggest benefit is absolute transparency—everyone knows exactly where a project stands, and cross-department collaboration is faster than ever.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The best thing about Slack, in my experience, is how well it keeps our team organised. We use separate channels for projects, client discussions, and internal updates, which makes it much easier to find the right information when we need it. I also like its integrations with ClickUp, Google Drive, and Sup Standup Bot because they help keep project updates in one place.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One drawback is that important messages can sometimes get lost in busy channels, especially when several teams are active at the same time. Managing notifications also takes a bit of effort, since you have to fine-tune them to avoid distractions when you’re trying to stay focused.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps our team communicate quickly without relying on long email threads. We use it every day for project discussions, file sharing, standup updates, and making quick decisions. It has improved collaboration, reduced response times, and helps everyone stay aligned on project progress.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack’s UI/UX design strikes a nice balance between classic and modern, which gives us that comfortable sense of familiarity while we use it. The integrations have been seamless as well, and they keep us in the loop with our existing systems. Its performance and overall upkeep have made us loyal users to the point that we’ve never seriously considered migrating to another platform.

Support has also been very helpful. That said, we rarely need to contact them because the app has had little to no issues for us. I’ve seen what their AI is capable of, but our current setup isn’t really looking for an add-on like Slack AI right now. We’re perfectly content with what we have, and I’m glad Slack has been stellar for our company for the entire time we’ve had it; the ROI is evident.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Nothing really. Slack has become not only our team’s main hub for communication, but also a bit of a reprieve at the same time.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It definitely lessens the fragmented state of our systems thanks to the app integrations and automations.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really like how convenient it is to use, especially with the separation of channels. It makes it easy to have quick, instant conversations with my coworkers. I can also upload files and share photos and videos so everyone can see them.

We haven’t integrated it with any other tools at the moment, but it works extremely fast and messages are sent instantly. I also like that it notifies us when a new message is received.

Getting set up was pretty easy at first; all it took was a simple email link and you’re in.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I don’t really like the threads feature. It feels a bit confusing to use, and sometimes I’m left unsure whether someone has answered one of my questions. It’s also a slight pain having to log out every single day at the end of my shift, because otherwise the next person who logs on can see my stuff since it stays logged in.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With two locations, communicating with each other is vital to the success of our practice. This makes it easy for people to answer each other’s questions and share insight right away. Before, we relied on group messaging on our cell phones, and it was a mess.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how it brings communication, collaboration, and information together in one place. Rather than dealing with long email chains, conversations happen in real time and remain organized in channels, which makes it easier to find the right context and stay aligned with the team. I also appreciate its integrations with other tools, since they help streamline workflows and cut down on the need to constantly switch between multiple applications throughout the day.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is that it can feel overwhelming when there are lots of active channels and nonstop notifications. With so many conversations happening at once, important messages can sometimes get buried, which makes it harder for me to stay on top of priorities. Even though Slack provides tools to organize channels and manage notifications, it can still lead to information overload—especially in larger teams where communication is frequent and constant.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve the problem of fragmented communication by bringing conversations, files, updates, and collaboration tools together in one platform. Rather than relying on long email chains or constantly switching between multiple apps, teams can communicate faster and stay aligned through well-organized channels. For me, this means I save time, get better transparency into what’s happening, can find information more easily, and collaborate more efficiently with colleagues especially when working across different teams or locations.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is a mature and a stable platform that provides one of the best area for team collaboration, I have used slack on multiple occasions for client projects that required it as a primary communication tool - and I have felt no problem with using it, In fact it had best features for keeping track of the communication.

The best feature I like about slack is the threaded conversation that help me track the discussion topics and client approvals in a structured manner, even though there are good competitor tools available, those didn't had the threaded communication as primary mode of communication

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

In cases where I have to work with multiple client, I sometime feel overwhelmed with the channel organizing and always conscious not to miss out any message... I'd appreciate if the UI to manage the channels and notification improved a bit

One more thing I want slack to improve is that I have integrated many AI triaging chatbots into slack channels, during testing phase, I will be triggering It multiple time to check the AI response, to my knowledge there isn't a easier way to delete the message that are sent by the AI bot apart from triggering a delete function via code.. but I would rather prefer a dedicated UI for efficiently achieving that intent.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps resolve my problem of managing multiple client in a single workspace - as a developer, it makes my communication tracking and client management easier and centralized that leaves me more time to focus on product delivery!
