## Merge Unified Reviews
 ### 1. Exceptional support, needs input validation for the ISU field during the initial onboarding process

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The level of support from the Merge team is exceptional, specifically our Account Manager, Jemma, who is proactive, professional, and incredibly quick in responding. The integration with Pylon for support works fine. Beyond day-to-day help, Merge is genuinely invested in our success, actively seeking feedback to help shape their product roadmap, making us feel like a true partner.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

One area for improvement would be adding input validation for the ISU field within the Merge Link UI. Implementing this during the initial onboarding process would help flag incorrect values at the point of entry, streamlining the setup for end-users.

Also, provide better, less generic error messages from the /employees endpoint (or create a dedicated validation endpoint). This would allow users to realize their ISU is incorrect and self-correct the issue without needing to contact support

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge solves the high cost of integration maintenance and data fragmentation. For us, this means our engineers spend more time on innovation and our sales team rarely has to turn away a customer due to a missing HRIS integration.

 ### 2. Seamlessly consolidates IdP and HRIS platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I think the core model of Merge Unified is great, especially how it consolidates every vendor into a single API for us to integrate with. They have a solid understanding of their position in the marketplace and offer an ecosystem of people, documentation, and services that support us in building and delivering a new product offering. There's never a question we can't answer or a resource they haven't created for both internal and customer-facing documentation and enablement. The initial setup was as straightforward as a backend user account integration could be, and we could self-serve through the proof of tech and implementation with human support from solutions architects when needed.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Some features we need and are excited about are paywalled behind add-ons or more expensive packages. It's the only part of the customer experience with any friction.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Merge Unified to integrate different IdP and HRIS platforms with my SaaS platform for enterprise user account management, which was impossible to manage at scale before. It consolidates vendors into a single API, saving time and effort for our small engineering team.

 ### 3. Exceptional Support and Rapid Feature Releases

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhavik P. | Head of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Their support staff is truly world-class. Our company has collaborated with many third-party clients, and Merge's support team stands out as top tier. I also appreciate their consistent schedule of feature releases. The team members seem to have significant autonomy, so whenever I raise an issue with support, it genuinely feels like the product and engineering teams are giving it real attention and priority.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

I feel that their enterprise sales process could have shown a bit more flexibility. Although we did receive a modest discount as a startup, it was crucial for us to test specific features to determine if the enterprise plan suited our needs. We requested some extra time to evaluate these aspects, but they were not willing to accommodate us. Since we operate in a similar field, we understand the necessity of having sales deadlines and clear resolutions, but it truly seemed like they could have been a bit more accommodating.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is quickly becoming the standard as a unified API for ERP systems.

 ### 4. Effortless Integrations and Rapid Scaling with Merge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron C. | Senior Technical Specialist / IT, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

As a developer and now software dev manager I know the headaches of supporting integrations. Just 1 integration can be a lengthy endeavour to support ; Merge handles dozens and in a universal common model way which has allowed us to not only add new functionality to our product quickly but also scale to so many platforms without any additional lift. That is a HUGE value add!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Not a dislike but the data normalization can work against you at times. Sometimes you need the actual underlying data in its true form in your sync. They obviously thought of this though and provided a simple flag in the API call to return the raw data instead of the normalized version. I think though that most use cases would benefit more from the normalization though

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge is allowing us to provide HR data sync in our products. This is a top tier level request from clients and we were able to quickly provide this using their service. The biggest win here is unified support across dozens of HR platforms at once. If we had to do each one manually it would literally take years of development.

 ### 5. Exceptional Documentation and Support Make Integration a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob M. | Software Developer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The documentation for each of the usages of the Common Models are fantastic. It's easy to find everything I need. When implementing we would have weekly meetings with a Merge technician that was genuinely invested and interested in what we were doing. There was maybe 1 or 2 issues that arose that we identified and Merge either explained what we were doing wrong, or implemented a new feature for us that ended up being useful for other clients.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

We were set up with a "sandbox" UKG account that had simulated real data. The problem was that this sandbox was shared across multiple other Merge clients which caused some issues when we were trying to test things and getting back very strange data.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to be able to connect to many client's HRIS systems. To handroll connections for all the various HRIS providers would me a monumental task. Merge's Common Models made it much easier to ETL client HRIS data into our own system.

 ### 6. Much needed product with excellent customer service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan M. | Implementation Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

There’s two main qualities that make Merge stand out:
1. They are meeting a previously unmet need and allowing small to medium sized businesses thrive early on with much less hassle on the customer’s end during implementation and onboarding, which significantly improves customer experience. Especially when the end user is non-technical, Merge is a game changer. Without Merge, companies and customers would need to work together to find their own solution to integrate the customer’s data which has proven time and time again to be extraordinarily complicated based on different, complicated systems on each end (product vs customer). Then, add end users who are non-technical on top of that, and you’re constantly holding your breath hoping the customer is still going to use the product after a frustrating onboarding process to get their data integrated into your product. Most people don’t understand how complicated custom APIs can get and the amount of labor and work that goes into each one. Merge makes it so companies don’t have to create highly custom solutions or rely on existing limited APIs to integrate.
2. The customer service is phenomenal. They make it incredibly easy to ask questions, get help, and get clarification on any item you’re working on with a customer. This makes a massive difference, especially as they add in new functionality and new integrations with new linked accounts/systems.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The common model mapping depends on each system. Some systems are able to integrate smoothly while others are more complex. Some integrations don’t support all the data required, leaving us to solve for some missing data issues through manual loading processes. Sometimes we can find the missing data and remap through remote data or pass through data, but sometimes it’s simply not coming over at all through the API, and we need to find a custom solution for those. That being said, functionality is constantly improving and the customer service is always there to help.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 7. Outstanding Support and a Product That Works Great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge's support team is always really helpful and often go above and beyond, and the product works great.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There are nuances with the setup process for some integration partners that can add friction to the user experience.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped us get integrations off the ground much faster than we could have if we built them ourselves, and it also requires less maintenance work on our end.

 ### 8. Efficient API Integration with Great Support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cole M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I build off their unified accounting APIs which help us sync attributes, transactions, and bills between our system and external accounting providers. I like the good dev portal, the documentation, and the support SLA. Their logs are nice and it's easy to see what's being passed to Merge and from Merge.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The documentation isn't very opinionated, which means it requires some trial and error with the accounting provider to see what is actually needed to successfully make requests.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Merge Unified to sync attributes, transactions, and bills between our system and external accounting providers.

 ### 9. Easy Integrations, Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I really appreciate the large collection of integrations they offer. They make the setup easy with thorough documentation and dedicated support.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Sometimes partner requirements can be better streamlined. Beyond build, HRIS providers may have additional review processes or requirements. I find that process to be often time-consuming and unclear. It would be great if Merge was more informed or involved in that process.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving a long tail of HRIS integrations which can take up a lot of engineering time without Merge

 ### 10. Must-have Unified API Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander P. | Founder & CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

As a compliance automation platform, the ability to seamlessly connect with our customers' existing tools is core to our business. Merge's Unified API has been a game-changer for us. By handling the integration layer for HRIS and Ticketing systems, Merge saves our engineering team a ton of time that would otherwise be spent on building and maintaining individual integrations . This allows us to focus on our core product and accelerate our roadmap.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

More categories and even more and deeper integrations are always something that can be worked on, but the team is very responsive about feedback and inquiries we have.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For our product to work, we need to pull data from our customers' HR and ticketing systems. The main problem we faced was the sheer variety of platforms our customers use.
Building each integration one-by-one would have been a huge resource sink for our engineering team. It's not just the initial build; it's the long-term maintenance, handling API changes, and dealing with edge cases for each specific platform.
Merge essentially takes on that entire problem for us. By integrating with their Unified API, we get access to a whole category of tools through one connection. For us, the benefits are very practical:
- Freeing up our developers. We're a growing team, and we can't afford to have engineers tied up maintaining dozens of third-party integrations. Merge saves us an estimated thousand hours a year, which we can now invest in building our core product features.

- Onboarding customers faster. When a potential customer asks if we integrate with their specific HR system, we can almost always say yes. It removes a major sales blocker and lets us get customers up and running on our platform much more smoothly.

- Building better features. We use Merge to handle things like automated user provisioning. We wouldn't have the capacity (or would need to sacrifice other priorities) to build these kinds of features across so many different systems without a tool like this handling the integration layer.

 ### 11. User-Friendly with Outstanding Support, But Unreliable Webhooks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bex K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I really appreciate the incredible support team at Merge Unified, and I find the user interface really easy to use. Also, the capabilities to do field mappings are very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The webhooks are incredibly unreliable creating a need for a nightly full API sync. Which almost makes the webhooks totally irrelevant.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge Unified normalizes data and processes, eliminating the need for custom APIs for each HR system.

 ### 12. Merge has been a game changer for us as we can offer hundreds of integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hammad K. | Integration Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge offers a unified API, which is a game changer. Instead of navigating hundreds of separate integration documents, we only need to refer to a single, consolidated source, saving us over 100 hours of development time. Their SDK is also much easier to implement, which streamlines our workflow significantly.

We use Merge frequently as part of our integration processes, and the experience has been consistently smooth. Additionally, we have a Slack channel with their support team and a dedicated account manager, ensuring that any issues or questions are promptly addressed.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

- Some integrations require much more time for latest data auto sync, every hour would be ideal for all integrations.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to the nature of our platform, our customers require integration with various systems to maintain compliance. Offering a wide range of integrations would have been challenging without Merge’s unified APIs.

 ### 13. Merge powers our Swantide Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike M. | Advisory Board, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We love Merge. Swantide uses Unified API to power our ticketing integration (Jira, Asana, Linear, etc) which supports our amazing partnerships with Hubbl, Provar, Moonox, etc

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There is nothing that we dislike about Merge Unified

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge doesn't just help, they power our Swantide integrations. This allows us to move at the speed of business and satisfy our customers.

 ### 14. Excellent support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian B. | Integration Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The team is super responsive and thorough in their replies. They are extremely knowledgeable and always go above and beyond with their support.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

It is a complex tool, it would be great to receive some kind of basic onboarding training from the Merge team.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

investigating / troubeshooting API sync issues

 ### 15. The Fastest Way to Ship HRIS Integrations and Empower Your Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

As a product leader, what I like best is the sheer velocity Merge provides. We were able to ship a wide range of HRIS integrations much more quickly than we could have ever built them in-house. This resulted in a huge lift in the number of new customers we could successfully onboard.

The platform is also incredibly empowering for non-technical team members. The dashboard and tooling are so good that I can personally investigate and triage most customer data issues myself, which saves a tremendous amount of our developers' time. Merge's support team is also fantastic and has always been very responsive when we've needed them.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

While our experience has been overwhelmingly positive, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. Some of the more niche HRIS integrations require a bit more handholding to get our customers connected, though we recognize this is often due to the HRIS provider and not entirely on Merge.

I also wish there were more advanced filtering capabilities we could expose directly to our customers through the integration. For example, giving them a simple option to only sync specific employee groups, like 'domestic employees,' would be a powerful feature for us. We could build this logic on our end, but having it handled by Merge would save us valuable development resources.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary problem we solved with Merge was automating our customer onboarding and core business logic. We run a platform that sends equipment to employees, and we need to know when people are hired and terminated. Before Merge, this was a painful, manual process where our developers had to handle individual CSV uploads for each new customer to add their employees.

By implementing Merge's unified HRIS API, we completely automated this workflow. The immediate benefit was saving our developers from the tedious and unscalable work of managing CSVs. The bigger, strategic benefit is the ease and speed with which we can now integrate a new customer onto our platform. This has directly accelerated our growth and improved our customer experience, as they love the automated notifications about their employee movements.

 ### 16. Effortless Integrations with Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brodric C.

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

I appreciate Merge’s clean development experience and ease of integration, making it straightforward to get started. The customer support is outstanding, always quick and helpful. Its ability to solve integration headaches saves me time and ensures high-quality project delivery. The shared models across different integrations streamline standardizing back-end code, and the MagicLink sign-in feature simplifies user access. Merge’s ease of use and extensive availability of integrations are key reasons why I would choose it again.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

I would like to see more integrations available on the platform. The more APIs that are available, the better it would be.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Merge solves integration headaches, saving time on complex projects by acting as an API aggregation layer. It ensures high-quality, timely project completion and provides a clean dev experience. Its shared models and ease of use streamline integration across platforms.

 ### 17. Better to build and maintain one API, than hundreds

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We were struggling to keep up with new integration requests, while staying up to date on existing integration maintenance. Merge has helped us move integrations from a position of weakness to a position of strength.

The unified api is great, the customer support is better. The team is extremely responsive to our feedback and questions.

Technical documentation is solid, though occasionally missing relevant information from a more obscure CRM.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

What I dislike about Merge is the initial data sync time, some of our integrations take longer than I would hope for; however, this was a problem we were running into when implementing each integration individually.

When the data is in the unified model, it is extremely easy to work with (duh). However, when a field is not in the unified model it can be complex to identify the best path to pull it into our system. Thankfully Merge has some great options options to get the field and a wonderful team to help navigate.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge is helping our Saas application bring 3rd party data integrations in to our platform. By leveraging the unified API, we can build once and add hundreds of integrations.

 ### 18. Best tool for product integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The software is very user-friendly and has one of the best interfaces compared to other tools. Their customer support is excellent, and we use it in our daily integration tasks. It also integrates with our product with minimal effort.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The service account disconnects sometimes, which requires a manual update from the support.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge is helping us solve the challenge of managing multiple third-party integrations. Instead of building and maintaining separate connections for each system, we can rely on Merge’s unified API, which saves us significant time and engineering effort. This not only speeds up our integration process but also reduces maintenance overhead, allowing our team to focus on delivering value to our customers.

 ### 19. Seamless Integration - Merge does the heavy lifting!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amberly D. | Technical Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge takes the pain out of building and maintaining multiple third party integrations. Their unified API structure means we only set it up once and get access to dozens of platforms for HR. Their support team is great as well!

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There is a bit of a learning curve especially when dealing with one off problems or less common platforms. Again though, their support team is very helpful!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to integrate with several HRIS platforms which would have taken a lot of engineering effort on our side. Merge allowed us to roll out these integrations drastically reducing out maintenance and burden on our side.

 ### 20. Great solution for HR integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

1. Delivers robust solutions for complex HR integrations – simplifies the implementation of challenging workflows that are difficult to handle independently.
2. Supports a wide range of HR systems – ensuring compatibility and flexibility across multiple integration scenarios.
3. Seamless integration process – designed for quick setup and minimal development effort.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

1.	Limited logging capabilities – in certain cases, diagnosing and resolving integration connection issues is difficult without direct assistance from Merge support.
	2. Slow ticket response times – support inquiries can take longer than expected to receive a resolution. which impact the relationship with our customers.
	3. Limited access to sandbox environment for HR integrations – limits the ability to test and validate configurations before deploying to production.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving time to create HR integrations alone

 ### 21. Always-Ready Support Team That Delivers

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The team is always willing to support whenever a situation arises

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

It could have more features with accounting tools

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently focused on HRIS connectors, we struggle mostly with permissions to be selected.

 ### 22. Well rounded solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge is fairly intuitive system with ample solutions to our use case. It has a wide support for HRIS systems (which we need) - and with a bit of setup tweaking and customization it will deliver as expected.

For those edge cases where we encounter any barriers, the Customer support is quite responsive and genuinely helpful to address the issues escalated. They're always polite, and eager to help.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There may be rare instances where the system does not load the information as quickly as expected, but this could be due to external/local factors as well.

As an improvement, it would be quite helpful to have a JSON validator/viewer native to the app to make it easier to review large log files.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User provisioning

 ### 23. Reliable integrations - game changer!

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The integration quality is objectively the best in the industry. We sync a ton of data and their team and product has been able to help us land some of our biggest customers. Highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

We’d always love more categories so we can sync more data!!

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everyone knows integrations are a huge pain. This lets us focus on our product.

 ### 24. Reliable and extensive collection of unified APIs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antti P. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

First and foremost the extensive catalog of different unified APIs which has allowed us to easily integrate with several HRIS vendors. Also the reliability has been really great.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The only downside I can think of is the price point which is quite high per linked account.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a hassle to integrate with multiple vendors and also to come up with a unified API. Merge handles this for you.

 ### 25. Saved us SO many engineering hours!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishan G. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge allows us to support dozens of ATS and CRM integrations easily. This has helped us unlock a scalable enterprise sales motion without having to spend time and resources to support each platform individually or build out a full-scale solutions team.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Some passthrough requests still required for advanced vendor-specific use cases, unified model can be extended further.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building bidirectional sync with customer ATS platforms using a unified model instead of spending the engineering resources to build or maintain each integration individually.

 ### 26. Fantastic & Mature integration platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The unified API schema has been a real game changer for us in terms of what we can accomplish. By writing code just once, we gain access to all the category endpoints, which makes development much more efficient. On top of that, the support team is always extremely responsive, whether I reach out with simple questions or more involved architectural concerns.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There is no streaming data available, which limits our ability to display results in near real-time. Having this feature would greatly enhance our capacity to present up-to-date information.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Normalizing the APIs and providing instant support for all the Category integrations writing the code once. It also has a robust data lake, we can query/checkpoint/replay from it instead of hitting APIs and rate-limits on customer's production instance.

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Intuitive API, flexible Admin console, great support

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Programmatic support of custom field mapping

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

removes the complexity from syncing with different HRIS api providers

 ### 28. Reliable CRM integrations that dramatically expanded our market reach

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge's unified API solution made it incredibly easy to add 20+ CRM integrations in less than a week, which significantly expanded our total addressable market. The integrations are highly customizable and reliable - it's truly "set it and forget it." Their Field Mapping feature has been particularly valuable, allowing our customers with heavily customized CRM instances to easily map their unique data models. By using Merge, we've saved at least $450k annually in engineering costs by eliminating the need for ongoing maintenance and custom integration development.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

You're somewhat dependent on Merge's supported integrations rather than having complete control over custom-built ones. While their coverage is extensive and met our needs, teams should verify that their required integrations are supported before committing.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge solved our need to support highly-customizable CRM integrations at scale without investing internal developer resources. Our product needs CRM data to help product teams understand the revenue impact of customer feedback, but building and maintaining these integrations ourselves would have diverted resources from our core product. With Merge, we were able to quickly add integrations with major platforms like Salesforce and HubSpot, as well as niche vendors, allowing us to serve a broader customer base. The automated maintenance and reliable performance have freed up our engineering team to focus on building our core product.

 ### 29. Great dashboard and tools for managing integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The biggest value for me is the number of integrations I get from Merge. In addition, they have a great dashboard, configurability, help center articles, and tools that allow me to do everything self-serve. Customer support answers all my questions quickly.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

I'm still missing a couple of integrations, like Darwinbox (HRIS), and some of the existing (beta) integrations don't support all the fields I'm interested in.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Withouth Merge we would need to write custom integration code to dozens of different APIs and manage help center articles, build dev tooling, etc.

 ### 30. Merge is great. It alleviated a ton of pain from managing dozens of ATS integrations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge connects to all integrations we care about. We're a recruiting platform, so ATS integrations are key for our customers. Team is great, very responsive, and ships new features.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

To be honest, no real downsides yet. Always new integrations that would be nice, but the team ships fast.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us unify our API integrations. We no longer need to develop dozens of individual connectors for different ATS, including Auth, syncing data, etc

 ### 31. Merge.dev does what I never thought was possible.

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy W. | Engineering Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The number of integrations is astounding. Implementing Merge.Dev gives access to so many companies, it's never going to lead to regretting the license.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

I'd like to see more sandboxes. It's next to impossible to verify a product integration against some of these companies without a hefty investment in accounts. It would be amazing to use merge.dev to prove out connections so you can be sure of what your product can support.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One to many relationships with company integrations that are required for many of our deals.

 ### 32. Merge helped us expand our client offerings as well as helped us improve our internal processes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Memo R. | Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge helped us expand our client offerings as well as helped us improve our internal processes. Their list of possible integrations have helped us create features that our clients have been asking for. It also helped us provide our clients with data analysis of their hiring and retention practices.

It was easy integrating with Merge using their API documentation. It made it much quicker for us to implement our client's ATS and HRIS data into our platform so that we can provide them with key metrics and data analysis. We've also started planning out how to use their other offerings for future feature requests. Their dashboard is easy to use and helps us manage all of our integrations in one place.

The biggest selling point, that made us choose them over other products, is that they make it so easy to map disparate data into our schema. They have a great way of consolidating different HR provider's data into their platform. They also let you use custom types to add specific mappings you want to include in the data ingestion process.

Merge's customer support is excellent. We recently had to fill out and submit an application to use an external HRIS system and they helped us through this process.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

There’s sometimes a mismatch between ATS and HRIS offerings but Merge has been quickly adding new integrations in each category.

Some HR solution providers need extra paperwork to get started but Merge helped us fill these out and get our application submitted.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using Merge to help our clients analyze their hiring and retention policies - especially through periods of change.

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge is simlpe to use and easy to navigate through.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Sometimes not sure what certain errors or issues mean, choosing between integrations for a single customer is hard bc tehy aren't differentiated.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge Unified hosts all our API integrations!

 ### 34. A Scalable and Flexible Solution for Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan B. | Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge has been a game-changer for our integration needs and enabled us to scale our integration platform exponentially faster than we could have building each integration in-house or relying on third-party contractors .

First, the scalability is impressive. We don’t have to worry about managing the unique authentication requirements for each HRIS or keeping up with API changes—Merge takes care of it all seamlessly. This saves us countless hours of maintenance and ensures our integrations stay reliable.

Second, the flexibility of their common model when combined with their custom mappings feature is outstanding. The common model provides a robust default structure that works for most use cases, but, with their custom mappings, it’s also extremely customizable. As a result, when a customer asks, “Can you handle this unique scenario or custom field?” we’re almost always able to say, “Yes, we can do that,” thanks to Merge’s flexibility and extensibility.

Their support is another standout feature. The response times are next-level, and it’s clear the team genuinely cares about helping their customers succeed.

Lastly, debugging is refreshingly simple with Merge. Their API tester and detailed logs make it easy to identify and resolve issues quickly, keeping our development and debugging processes smooth and efficient.

Merge enables us to focus on delivering value to our customers rather than worrying about the complexity of integrations.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

We did encounter quite a few bugs early on, but this seemed to be due to lower adoption of the HRIS integrations we were leveraging at the time. The platform has become much more stable since then, and we rarely experience issues now. Additionally, when we did encounter problems, their support team was very responsive and communicative and did everything they could to resolve them as quickly as possible, which helped mitigate any frustrations.

Another consideration is that some companies Merge integrates with may pose additional challenges during the integration process. For example, larger providers like ADP, Paylocity, and Rippling often require going through partnership processes, which can take time. This is not an issue with merge - these are challenges you’d face regardless of using Merge, and their team provided excellent support to navigate these obstacles more smoothly than we could have on our own. It’s just worth noting that not every HRIS integration is entirely ‘turnkey,’ and some HRIS platforms may also charge customers for API access. Being aware of these nuances and differences with each HRIS can help in planning your integrations effectively.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us solve the complex challenge of integrating with dozens of HRIS platforms, enabling us to deliver a scalable and flexible integration solution for our customers. Before Merge, we tried building integrations in-house and working with third-party contractors, but neither approach gave us the scalability, flexibility, or support we needed. Using Merge allowed us to launch integrations for 12 of our most-used HRIS platforms in under a year, and we’ve since expanded to 22+ integrations. This has dramatically improved our win rates and customer retention while reducing the engineering, support, and implementation resources required to maintain integrations.

 ### 35. Incredibly fast and convenient integration for our users with their ATS systems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex D. | Chief Software Engineer / Solution Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The most useful thing is a combination of several things:
- a wide range of integrations
- a wide range of supported languages for SDK + ready-made solutions for Frontend SDK
- a convenient and fast flow for linking accounts for our end users
- a diverse set of tools in the admin panel such as webhooks, sandbox, test api
- clear onboarding during registration in the admin panel

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

- price (it would be possible to break down the pricing policy depending on the modules that are needed, i.e. why overpay if, for example, only one ATS module will be used)
- sometimes a certain api is poor in functionality, for example, certain batch requests such as POST requests for creating candidates for ATS systems are missing
- more advanced multitenancy is missing

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Merge so that our recruiter users can easily integrate their ATS system into our platform, for example, to easily export candidates found on our platform or to synchronize certain data

 ### 36. Merge Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naud G. | Founding Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The most helpful thing about Merge is the fact that we don't have to manage the actual integrations with the accounting systems we're interested in (QBO/Xero). Upsides are quick connection to users' accounting systems, no need to manage keys on behalf of the users, and the ability to sync most writes instantly.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

So far my experience with Merge has been good. It's able to collect/read/write most of the data I'm interested in to the accounting systems we integrate with (QBO & Xero). However, there have been a handful of times where the documentation indicated support for certain endpoints and it ended up not actually having support for it with the promise of the fix coming within the quarter or following quarter. A lot of the time the promise has been delivered. It would be nice if there was an easier way to setup webhooks programmatically so that we can sync merge accounts on the fly for data written via passthrough.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main way Merge is benefitting us is with the unified nature of the api. We don't have to maintain software to maintain direct integrations with the different accounting software. I like that we can connect to the users' accounts pretty easily and not have to worry about juggling the different datatypes that can get returned from similar calls to the different thrdparty softwares. For example, retrieving a user's contacts can have different response bodies whether I query QBO ro Xero if I were to do it directly, but merge does a good job of normalizing the data into a consistent format so that the differences are abstracted away. Additionally, the SDK is also very helpful so that we don't have to worry about the http calls directly in most cases.

 ### 37. Merge is extremely customer centric!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James M. | Founder/ CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We rely on Merge to support our Accounting and HRIS integrations. From the start, we knew integrations would be critical to our success, and we set a high standard for selecting the right partners.

Over the past year, our experience with Merge has been exceptional. Their platform has enabled us to efficiently expand integrations across multiple categories, allowing us to stay focused on our core product. When unique challenges or support questions arise, the Merge team is always there to provide prompt and effective solutions, helping us accelerate our development and stay on track with our roadmap.

Managing integrations—whether it’s resolving issues, applying updates, or ongoing testing—can be a significant burden on engineering teams. Merge has completely taken that load off our shoulders, saving our engineers hundreds of hours annually and freeing them to focus on building what matters most.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Some their integration partnerships, can be "difficult" to work with. There have been times where the integration has gone down, and it hasn't been on Merge, it is has been on the vendor they are integrating with. The good news, is that Merge was super collaborative with us, and talked us through everything.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily rely on Merge for their HRIS integrations, which have been incredibly valuable to us. These integrations have saved us significant time, money, and relationship capital. Without Merge, individually brokering these relationships would be both time-consuming and expensive, requiring considerable manpower and financial resources. Merge has streamlined this process, allowing us to allocate our efforts and resources more effectively. Technically the product is great. But the Business Development as a Service is really the big value add.

 ### 38. Merge makes HR automations easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie M. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

We use Merge to pull in data from HRIS software to help companies provide services to their employees. We could have spent hundreds of hours building and maintaining custom integrations across the 20+ integrations we provide via Merge today. Instead they make it fairly easy to connect to different HR systems and safely pull in employee data.

Their customer support tends to respond within a business day typically, especially if you get the plan with a Slack channel.

I like how easy it is to show my customers that we aren't pulling in sensitive payroll data to the API (as our service does not need that data, though I believe Merge can use it if your service needs it) because you can toggle which fields sync on and off very easily. Generally HR managers can also decide whether Merge has access to that information at all.

I am not an engineer, just an administrator that trains customers on setting up these integrations, but the software is straightforward enough that it's fairly intuitive for me to use their admin site.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Some HR systems are very easy to connect to, and all they require is the HR admin to log in with a username and password. Some HR systems, like ADP, are more complicated setups that take 20+ minutes and if you mess up a step you need to start over completely. I think that is more in the nature of the original HR software than on Merge's side, to be fair.

Their documentation could be better, sometimes it is out of date compared to UI changes in the HR system I'm trying to implement. Troubleshooting errors can be a little complex.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulling in HR data like employee information across 20+ different HR platforms. Saves time and energy building integrations ourselves.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Easy to start with.
Good if you would like to have any integrations at once.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The docs are so-so.
Most of the time, it feels like there is no support.
I can't get answers to share with my customers. I would never use this with customer-facing features.
With today's tools, building an integration using AI agent, it doesn't make sense to use merge as they have no support

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lots of integrations at once

 ### 40. Makes the difficult job of integrations substantially easier.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike D. | Head of Integrations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The thing I like best about Merge has been the support we've gotten from the team. The product and documentation are definitely good, but it is inevitable to run into challenges with integrations. The customer success team has gone above and beyond in helping us to meet deadlines and the needs of our customers.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

The thing I like least about Merge is that I wish they were just focused on Applicant Tracking System integrations. In my role that is the only type of integration we are focused on, and I think the experience could be even better if Merge focused solely on the ATS space. This is definitely a selfish perspective. If we ever aim to integrate with HRIS or CRM, I'm sure we will be happy that Merge has more to offer.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge gives us a giant headstart when we are looking to add integration support for a new Applicant Tracking System. Instead of starting from scratch and having to digest the documentation of the underlying ATS, we can use the Merge Unified API. The Unified API will probably not work 100% for any new integration, but it still saves you ~70% of the pain. The logging + API Tester + Passthroughs help you to close the gap on the last 30%, and get your integration working.

In cases where understanding of the underlying API has been hard to come by, Merge has stepped in and been a huge help. We've felt fully supported by their team, and I would argue that this has been the most impactful part of our experience.

 ### 41. Great partnership and support!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amulya K. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The Merge team is amazing to work with and is always there to help with everything from implementation, troubleshooting, and connection support. They're always responsive and helpful! They're also great partners along the integration development process and bring a depth of knowledge regarding the integrations they support.
On the platform side, once we've built support for a few applications in a certian category, we find it's a relatively simple effort to add additional integrations in that category. The ease of implementation here and time saved as a result is great! Our customers frequently use our Merge integrations and have smooth experiences making and using the connections.
I also appreciate the strides they've made with their documentation in the past year, making it easier to understand the nuances of each platform, which is especially useful when building dozens of integrations in a specific category.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

It can be a little challenging getting feature/enhancement requests prioritized.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge helps us build integrations more quickly through their unified API!

 ### 42. Integrations made simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** João M. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Having worked with third party integrations for most of my career, I know full well the pain and cost that comes associated with this type of work. Merge's product removes the majority of this pain.

By offering a unified API, great documentationa, a straightforward implementation and an incredibly responsive suppor team, I'm now to integrate with a plethora of providers with minimal work from my end.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

A unified API comes with its own set of challenges as it is to be expected, so while Merge caters for 90% of the use cases, sometimes one needs to use the escape hatch and bear the pain of talking to providers directly when something is needed that is not on the usual trodden path.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge is providing a unified API for data providers and that means that, from my point of view, integrating new providers takes a minimal amount of work (if any at all).

 ### 43. Simplifies integration and troubleshooting, backed by fantastic support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paula V. | Data & Analytics Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

The Unified API has been a game-changer for us, allowing smooth data transformations across platforms like Justworks and Gusto. It’s saved us a ton of time and effort, and the setup was impressively fast—probably the quickest we’ve seen in terms of integrations. The platform itself is intuitive, making it a breeze to use day-to-day. And I can’t say enough about the customer support team; they’re super responsive and always jump in quickly when we need a hand.
A feature we really appreciate is the API Tester. It’s been incredibly handy for pinpointing issues, letting us confirm right away if a hiccup is coming from the source data. And passthrough tables? Lifesavers. They allow us to bring in extra data beyond the Unified API model, which has been a huge help when we need that added flexibility.
Syncing data with Merge is seamless and just works.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

We did hit a few snags with an integration in beta that made it a little tricker than expected, but their support was fantastic and offering a quick workaround that got the job done.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge has taken the headache out of integrating multiple data sources. With Merge, we don’t have to worry about juggling individual API integrations; it’s all simplified in one place. This has saved us loads of development time and created a more efficient data workflow across all our platforms.

 ### 44. Loving the Expanding Features and Awesome Support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa M. | Product, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Always Something New: The platform constantly is adding new HR apps and partnerships, while also expanding their capabilities with things like SFTP server support.

Solid Data: From a data quality perspective, Merge has worked as expected which is really important to us as we rollout to customers.

Developer Thumbs Up: Our devs are really happy with the tools they get here— comprehensive guides and easy testing/tooling. Generally a really easy implementation.

Clear Docs for Everyone: We get super detailed docs for each integration that we hand straight to our customers. It clears up a lot of questions upfront and helps everyone stay on the same page.

Support That Gets It: Whenever we hit a bump or have a suggestion, the support team is on it. They really listen and make sure we have what we need.

Overall with all the features, great integration quality, and responsive support, this platform has been a game-changer for us. Definitely happy we chose it.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

While Merge offers a wide array of integrations, sometimes the depth required for specific / more niche use cases isn’t fully met.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to a large number of HR integrations to get employee attribute data.

 ### 45. Stable experience, plethora of integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew W. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

For the provided unified integration categories like HRIS and ATS, there are a ton. Like a-ton-a-ton of integrations with many being extremely thoroughly implemented across their models and capabilities (like user management related endpoints or category specific items like ticketing related actions). We're always impressed whenever we browse Merge's capability tables to see how many integrations fit our requirements.

We're pleased with the stability of fetching data from Merge; it is consistent, quality data unlike other vendors who may miss a thing or two (we've noticed sometimes from other vendors data is not refetched at consistent times or return data consistent to an integration). They also release plenty of meta features that we love like force resyncing and passthrough requests, and we were provided flexibility in how often we can perform several background actions on the Merge end. We rarely hit any technical barriers, and our developers have enjoyed their thorough documentation and (in our case, Python and React Merge Link) SDK. In Python, it's rare finding nicely typed libraries, so it has been great using their SDK thus far.

In terms of service, the turnaround speed for many technical related issues is quick. They are quick to letting us know when certain features we want will come out in the future or land in the roadmap.

Overall, Merge provides a consistently solid product and great turnaround service time.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

They are a unified API product which means some integrations that don't fit their provided categories will probably not be implemented since they go in depth with each integration per category rather than focusing on breadth of categories. I believe they have most of the key categories, and plenty of integrations in each category too. There is no other stable and performant vendor out there that provides the same number of integrations at such quality, thoroughness/deepness of fetching data, and speed of delivery. Out of our vendor choices, even though we'd like to have some integrations that don't fit their categories, the sheer number of integrations that they do provide far outweighs any cons during our vendor consideration.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were in need of implementing several integrations, and getting sandboxes is difficult. Merge having done that job already speeds up our sales pipeline where integrations are a must for certain customers and their necessities

 ### 46. Leveraging merge for AP/AR @ Acctual has been great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Issa H. | Cofounder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge was super easy to get started with and very startup friendly. Their team is really knowledgeable about our use case (accounting integrations with QuickBooks/Xero) and provides fixes, improvements, and guidance almost instantly. Our engineering team finds the APIs/sdks simple and straight forward to implement.

The Merge integration is a core part of our product and consistently creates wow moments when we demo our product to new customers.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

We don't have any dislikes about merge, the team is great at accepting feedback and making improvements.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge enables our customers to connect their accounting systems to our AP/AR software. We leverage Merge for their QuickBooks and Xero integrations. Merge allows us to write bills, invoices, and contacts to our users' accounting systems, as well as read a wide range of other data such as accounts, supported currencies, and more

 ### 47. Glad we picked Merge over the competition

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge provides a strong, scalable foundation for our platform’s integrations. The documentation and developer resources are top-notch, and it was straightforward for our team to adopt Merge quickly. Merge has also built a highly reliable infrastructure, allowing us to confidently deliver a stable experience for our users.

We looked at the other Merge copycats in the space, but Merge is clearly the premium product in the space. We're glad we picked them.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Occasionally, their roadmap updates can impact our internal timelines if we’re depending on a new feature. It’s rare, but clear communication about delays is crucial when we’re scheduling our own releases. That said, Merge is highly responsive to feedback, and the team keeps us updated, helping us mitigate any potential issues.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merge enables us to efficiently build and maintain a comprehensive suite of integrations in our product.

Unified business data model for HR systems to connect our software to many HR systems

 ### 49. Merge.dev makes our life easier when we want to develop new features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jairo C. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Merge.dev simplifies feature development by eliminating the need for new integrations per customer. With a single integration, we can efficiently scale and reach a broader audience.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Sometimes the Merge <-> Customer integrations are not fully synced and there are data we need to get going directly to the customer apis. But most of the cases there are workarounds.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We leverage Merge to integrate data from our HRIS customers. Currently, we're enhancing our capabilities by retrieving data from the ATS and utilizing the passthrough feature for data push.

 ### 50. Excellent product and service support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Merge Unified?**

Fairly intuitive UI, wide support for HRIS systems, fantastic technical support. Good Support literature to aid in a fairly painless integration configuration by clients.

**What do you dislike about Merge Unified?**

Logs data not validated in a JSON ready format when downloaded, requires the use of another app to validate the JSON log data to review outside Merge. It would be nice to either have a JSON validator build in or have the logs data already validated prior to local download.

**What problems is Merge Unified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User provisioning needs are met to a wide range of our clients. it takes away the need of developing custom in house integrations that take time and resources. Merge is able to meet a wide range of needs our clients have in terms of user provisioning.
