  ### 1. Great team behind a smart product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alberto D. | Head of Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Lano?**

- Ease of Use
- Onboarding support
- One platform for all payroll locations
- Quick, responsive, actual human customer service

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

They are a bit pricier than competitors, but so far they’ve been worth it.

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to completely overhaul our payroll process. Now we use only one platform which automatically updates all the inputs from other systems and providers. Great time saver.

  ### 2. Expanding our company globally: entering the North American market.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JOSE S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Lano?**

The relationship with Lano is truly great, we work with them as partners, where some of our clients can use their services but also for our own growth and expansion in those key markets where it does not make sense for us to set up an entity.

We like the responsiveness of the team, the humans behind the tool/product and the willingness to support even when the countries we might be working in are not the most straightforward from an HR perspective.

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

Sometimes the relationship with Lano´s 3rd party partner aint easy and we need to rely on Lano´s team to unlock those situations.

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Lano has been a game-changer for us in hiring and managing team members across different countries. It also helps our clients and we partner as an extension of our recruitment services

  ### 3. Easy process for international payment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateo C. | Advertising Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Lano?**

Lano is great when it comes to the international processing of payments especially for huge amounts of money. Usually, banks require validation esp for USD amounts but the process for them is seamless and you get your money on time. Trusted and easy process

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

I believe it is a UK-based application so when a banking holiday hits the UK, there is a delay in payment processing. Customer support should be quick to respond

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of Payment and Processing especially for Global Contractors

  ### 4. Great experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fadi K. | Experienced Assurance Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Lano?**

I like how easy to use and how convienent this program is for our company. Our firm mostly uses it for making cross border payments and turning consultants who are contractors into employees

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

As of right now, we still have not encountered any issues except for the usual bugs and glitches which we expected

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The easy use and how we could play consultants in the states using the cross border payments option and also how simple it is to change the employment terms (turn contractors into employees). This must be done correctly as there can be serious tax consequences if done incorrectly

  ### 5. Makes hiring globally easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksandra W. | Head of HR, CoE, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Lano?**

Full flexibility and amazing responsiveness to any question/request. Intuitive and user friendly platform, great support team and very easy to implement within organisation. Also - Lano teams up with professional and trustworthy local companies.

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

The only thing all customers probably dislike about any product - th einvoices in the end of the month ;-)

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enables recruit and hire talents in countries where we have no legal entity

  ### 6. Magical solution for international staffing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Takacs B. | Marketing Manager, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Lano?**

Lano takes care of everything from a compliance perspective and even payroll, which means I don’t need to worry about that and can just focus on the hires.

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

There are also some issues with the speed of the invoicing process. There are circumstances that they have delayed me in receiving certain invoices, which in turn affects my own cash flow.

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lano has provided access to the talents which would otherwise be extremely hard to access for a company. They deal with legal and bureaucratic logistics related to employment in foreign countries so that I can assemble a talented team.

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Lano?**

I love this platform so much as it's helped our company setup payroll in new countries as we sometimes have to ask those in other countries to do work for us. Also, it has helped us change Contractors to employees

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

Haven't found any issues with the program. So far we are happy with how the program was implemented

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The easy change of contractors to employees has helped our firm. Contractors to employee change is important as it could bring our firm serious tax issues

  ### 8. Reliable Partner for Global Employee Management

We are using Lano as an Employer of Record in order to hire people from outside of Germany without needing to establish a subsidiary in the respective country.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

- Wallet incl. internal approval process to pay invoices
- Can facilitate a lot of countries
- Pro-actively worked on their initial shortcomings
- Suppliers and EoR in one platform

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

- High deposits
- Occassionally, slow solving of issues due to dependence to third-party intermediaries (e.g., GoGlobal)
- Set-up with third-party intermediaries is sometimes cumbersome to get the relevant correct answer (e.g., re parental leave)

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 13. Lano

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denn S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Lano?**

I never tried using any tool like Lano but this first was a nice experience. Easy to go around like interface wise, its straighforward. Filiing of invoices is also very easy

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

I dont think there aside from when you login to a mobile browser sometimes it gets stuck when you try to login with google. My workaround was to switch languages.

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think its helping our accounting and finance team review our pay better and since we are considered contractor, we use our invoices as form of payslip.

  ### 14. Who knew payroll could be actually enjoyable?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Lano?**

From all the platforms we tried in the space Lano by FAR has some of the nicest people who are genuinely trying to help our team succeed with our payroll management across a few countries. They also use a partner network rather than their own local entities so the time taken to onboard a new employee is ridiculously fast regardless of which country they're based in sicne Lano has that coverage on the ground.

They seem to be building soething really unique to help us have better visibility on payroll and employee data related topics across our entire remote team and we're very excited to see those features rolling out quickly. The ability to actually make payments from within lano is also super useful.

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

So far not much - they do work with several partners to make sure that compliance and expertise is super local, however from time to time there may be a few back and forth messages needed to resolve certain doubts, but the Lano team is incredibly quick and friendly in making sure those doubts don't turn into problems.

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have about 350 remote employees in 17 countries and Lano helps us audit, approve, and view all their payroll information on a single screen - they call this "payroll consolidation" which is quite powerful. It also connects with our HR systems and other software to let us sync all changes before making payments from their lano "wallet".

  ### 15. Disastrous

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Lano?**

The fact that we left Lano, and the fact that our email eventually were answered

**What do you dislike about Lano?**

- Erroneous invoices multiple times
- Same question, different answers
- Latency in customer support interactions
- No visibility on the real service delivered
- False promises to our employees

**What problems is Lano solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lano is rather creating frustration and workload along the way

We used them for a while as EOR, to employ colleagues abroad, and it was a terrible experience, both for the local employees and for us in management
