## Affinity Reviews
  ### 1. Gold standard of VC CRM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity is a highly intuitive CRM platform, particularly well-suited for venture capital workflows. Its excellent Gmail integration enables seamless information sharing across the team, strengthening collaboration and transparency. Customer support is consistently responsive and effective, providing timely solutions to most inquiries. When we adopted Affinity, it was already our third CRM, and it has proven to be the most robust and enduring solution for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Affinity can be relatively expensive, and some user-level settings could benefit from greater customization and granularity. Additionally, expanding the range of available integrations would further enhance its utility.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity supports our end-to-end dealflow operations, LP relationship management, and fundraising processes. It also helps us track deliverables, streamline portfolio management, and maintain strong professional networks. By centralizing these workflows, the platform improves efficiency, data accessibility, and organizational alignment across the team.

  ### 2. Effortless Tracking of Investment Opportunities Without Duplicate Data Entry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric E. | Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity makes it easy to track thousands of prospective investment opportunities, and does so without requiring duplicate data entry. The screening feature and watchlists allow us to run our sourcing program more efficienty with fewer analysts.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

I would like a direct LinkedIn integration so that I could research companies and pull in profiles of key management team members.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to manage thousands of relationships in a CRM without requiring separate CRM data entry. Our entire team is coordinating daily on all of our outstanding pipeline without having to take additional steps (our emails, meetings, attachments, employee list, and company financial data are automatically captured.)

  ### 3. First time fund manager - perfect tool for fundraising + deal pipeline

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zack M. | Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity's ingestion of email data allows for very efficient capture of our universe of real world interactions. When you combine that with the ability to upload your own data, build lists and capture all interactions with very limited manual work, it was a game changer for us as we launched our fund. I'm sure we're only using like 15% of the capability of the product, but even so it has been well worth the investment for us. We use the product every day and it's also always learning in the background so it grows in power without our input.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

No huge complaints here - the main challenge is that I'm sure we could be doing *more* with Affinity but we haven't had time to devote to it. We manage our deal pipeline in Affinity and that works well, though we could see more features in the future to make it a true pipeline tool.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a seamless way to get our contacts into a standardized format and also to share knowledge between me and my partner in terms of who we've been talking with and the outputs of those emails and calls. Affinity was a godsend in fundraising because it provided full visibility to us both without us having to manage spreadsheets. We are also using it to manage our deal pipeline.

  ### 4. The Source of Truth for Our Firm’s Network and Deal Flow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annie G. | CMO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

It is the source of truth for our firm around communications and deal flow.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

UX needs an update. Reporting and analytics are still clunky.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our deal pipeline, LP communications and outreach, managing our CXO and EPL network.

  ### 5. Not meant for emerging managers: high costs and outdated collaboration make it not worth it

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Easy ingestion of our emails and creation of entities

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Extremely high cost relative to the feature set. Many of the forced "premium features" are commoditized and not with the investment. Very expensive to scale with your team. Document management is poor and does not connect to any normal document management system. Note taking is static and stuck 10 years ago so you cannot collaborate in real time.

Customer support team is ok at response time, but pretty inflexible in how they support feature requests and customer service. Very rigid service terms and not able to modify their terms to meet the needs of an emerging manger.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aggregating emails across team members.
Deal pipeline management.

  ### 6. Custom built for investment professionals

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis A. | Managing partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

It's built built specifically for the use cases of a venture investor. Integrates really well with your email and calendar. The note-taker and early AI features work really well

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

The mobile app is not very useful. The search function it needs more improvement

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking deal process. Managing contacts. Working on communications

Since affinity integrates with your email and is able to read all the communications, it makes it really easy to unify all interactions into one platform

  ### 7. Efficient, insightful network mapping

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Ease of use for the wider team, especially for non-technical team members and those not familiar with CRM structures. Affinity has been super helpful in centralizing key information for the company as a whole.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Lack of customization options, and current lack of automations in the CRM. Some limitations from the tool (in Looker Studio, in the existing list options) may require some creative thinking to get around.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing data and eliminating silos

  ### 8. Terrible CRM; better off going w/ Streak or Hubspot

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Candidly, it wasn't very useful, compounded by the price point.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

NOT customer friendly, ginormous pain in

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Definitely did NOT solve anything, very weak source of truth

  ### 9. Changed the way we do business development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

We procured Affinity when our M&A advisory team moved to a larger platform and we needed a much more robust platform than our generic CRM for tracking all of our collective relationships as a group, and especially so as we added members to our team. All of us have the platform open nearly our entire day, whether to maintain BD worklists, track deal outreach, take meeting / market intel notes, plan marketing campaigns, maintain coverage universes, or quickly refresh ourselves on our past interaction history with a given company / person, among others. Affinity is an unbelievably easy to use platform and has a lot of automation to remove a lot of the manual data entry tasks we used to have to allocate time to.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

We occasionally stumble upon small workflow painpoints, but the Affinity team has always been very responsive to feature ideas / requests, up to and including the CEO.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business development organization and coverage management.

  ### 10. Great CRM for VC

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Solid user experience and does everything I need it do when it comes to managing deal flow. I use the platform daily for deal sourcing, taking notes, keeping reminders, and updating our deal pipeline.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Nothing major to dislike. Sometimes the chrome add-in has some issues connecting or will ask me to log-in and then I get an error message. Support has always been quite helpful.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity makes it easy to manage all the companies that I interact with in a single platform from reminders to tracking businesses and storing notes from conversations. I would otherwise have to do all if this using excel and word docs.

  ### 11. Great CRM platform for Venture Capital

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** charles g. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Super easy and straight forward product with a fast learning curve. The ability for CRM entries to continually refresh automatically is a huge value add. Beyond using the product as CRM entry, it is slowly becoming a system of record. Customer service team is also extremely responsive and supportive. Affinity takes our user experience feedback seriously and works with us to constantly improve the product.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

At this time, it can not replace other use case specific CRM - such as talent/recruiting- as it lacks use case specific data fields and data viewing permissions.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity helps us manage our data base of people, company, and interactions in a systemiatic and automatic way. There is no way to track the breadth and depth of our network activities without a tool like Affinity.

  ### 12. Overall, very good experience from both the product and the Affinity Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I really enjoy the ability to keep up with parties that myself and others on my team have reached out to so that "wires don't get crossed". I also enjoy the ability to keep track of the entire deal pipeline (size, status, etc.). Affinity team is very responsive and receptive.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

We have often asked for Affinity to have more "excel like" calculation features. They are actively working on this. The dashboard are helpful and have been improved, but they could be more intuitive, at times.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity Allows us to keep all of our contacts in one common place and keep track of historical and future communications. We are able to separate contacts by certain types, status etc. Also, Affinity allows us to keep our entire deal pipeline in one simple location that everyone can see, comment on, discuss etc.

  ### 13. Great!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maurice R. | Venture Capital, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Automated logging of meetings on calendar, the ability to track almost anything, etc.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

I'm not sure I dislike anything. There might be some things that come up, but considering I haven't done enough training and also haven't used it long enough, there may be things I say "I don't like how..." to, only to find out there's a way to fix it already.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking relationships and ability to visualize the entire funnel of pipeline. On Salesforce (for us, at least) everything visually looked like a list, and we had to manually log events and create reports. Affinity makes all that easier. I now rarely forget about companies I spoke to a while ago that I should check back in with.

  ### 14. I utilize Affinity to track and monitor investment portfolio companies and potential deals.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hunter M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Aesthetically pleasing and easy to move items across borders. The tracking function of Affinity is also helpful to the team by providing insights to tracking of activity.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

I don't like that actions are set in stone. There is no way to undo actions in Affinity. I had trouble early on deleting an item in a sheet view that would delete across all lists.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Housing all of our VC investments and potential deals. It's been helpful with tracking and providing us ability to create a framework for what we look for in companies before we invest.

  ### 15. 2023 Review of Affinity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Regina W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity is inuative. It is great that it is not complicated to train new users on the system.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

In consistant cusor movement does present challenges when using the software. Not sure where you are typing sometimes.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of contacts and reachouts. Tracking our deal process.

  ### 16. Fantastic! Intuitive platform that has improved our CRM dramatically, with a supportive CS team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Automatically feeding in email and contact data, their responsive and fantastic CS team, and how easy to use and intuitive the platform is.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Nitpicking here but would be great to have a global view across all our teams, and integration with OneNote if possible!

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving our deal flow management, and relationship management with our prospective and current portfolio companies. It is making our processes more efficient.

  ### 17. Natalie

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shelby E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

She is so patient and helpful with us on each call! Her follow up is amazing and we appreciate how accessible she is.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

some of the sorting functions and filters could be easier to use

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

keeping our firm connected for 3 years

  ### 18. Quick to start, easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

The automatic population of a company record by just entering its name or url.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

The less-friendly functionalities to update company and contact details if it does not exist in the Affinity database.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to help track the startups engaged and the status of engagement.

  ### 19. Founders Future & Affinity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas B. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Automation with emails & external data from Crunchbase

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

The emailing tool is too basic. It lacks essential features like uploading images.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dealflow management, fundraising and CRM.

  ### 20. Most automated/seamless CRM I've ever used. And best CRM customer service I've ever experienced.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Very minimal manual input is necessary. Highly automated.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

I don't need all the email notifications. Have to adjust in my settings.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Relationship tracking, deal pipeline tracking, network development

  ### 21. Sharp UI with awesome enriched fields; lacks some flexibility

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I love that Affinity automatically pulls data from my email and that I don't have to individually upload contacts

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Lack of flexibility to architect data in the way I truly want to, and feature requests get essentially shelved to the product team

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pipeline tracking
Contact upkeep
Event planning

  ### 22. The CRM that tracks everything...

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I like how it aggregates data and allows you to add personalised values that can be used to track certain specific data points relevant to our business.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

The downsides are that often we input a lot of data, but can't always visualise it in a helpful way to our colleagues. Ends up only being relevant to the users who use it frequently, rather than those in your organisation unfamiliar with the product.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Been able to keep track of important pieces of information relating to our LPs (investors) allowing us to make informed decisions and bespoke and relevant outreach campaigns. Also been able to track the movement of our investors through the pipeline, making it obvious which investors are progressing quicker and more seriously than others, which can serve as a prompt to nudge earlier conversations along the funnel if needs be.

  ### 23. Keeps me organized

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I am regularly meeting new companies and founders, and without some type of CRM, I don't know how I'd keep everyone straight in my head. Setting reminders and keeping additional data makes sure fewer things fall through the cracks, helps me prep for meetings, and overall keeps things running smooth.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

While I know it's the product best situated for VC, it still doesn't feel fully invested in making the VC use case a native experience. It required some customization and adjustment to really make it fit our workflow. It also doesn't have easy ways to integrate with some of our other tools, e.g. Pitchbook.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use data from Pitchbook pretty regularly, and I wish it integrated more easily into the CRM files. They have a solution, but it is quite expensive and doesn't feel like a clean integration. The web browser extension also requires frequent login, which can be frustrating.

  ### 24. A nightmare for any admin

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trevor H. | Revenue Operations Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

The part that I like best, which is also the biggest issue with this system, is that any and every stage, field and contact can be personalised. This falls into the issue of non standardisation.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

EVERYTHING can be inputted as a free text option and sales teams often have free reign in filling fields. This makes it absolutely impossible to generate any substantial reporting, let alone have normalised data void of simple spelling errors.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When starting at ground zero for deal management and crm this an option, but not a good option. This issue could be minimised if affinity put the investment required of a crm for integrations and other system syncs.

  ### 25. Important tool for VCs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

For bigger teams, it is essential to have accurate tracking of all the interactions you have with entrepreneurs, and affinity does this very well. It is a place to centralize most information you have about your pipeline.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

There are some minor bugs that still need to be corrected, and it could be easier to export data to excel to extract more specific insights. Would love to see a LinkedIn messages integration.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity basically eliminates the need to constantly message your colleagues asking if they talked to a specific company in the past, increasing the team's productivity.

  ### 26. Productivity boost

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

User-friendly and easy-to-learn CRM platform. Much more adapted to VC use-cases than alternatives (including the CRM we were using before). Brings a significant boost to team productivity in managing deal flow.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Some potentially interesting features are still suboptimal (e.g., data enrichment from external sources is not visible before adding an organization to a list, which hinders deal sourcing).

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a VC, we use Affinity as our CRM for deal flow purposes (not as much for portfolio management). It has been a key tool to improve team productivity and communication.

  ### 27. A Powerful Tool For Venture Capitalists

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neil I. | Senior Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

- Affinity is great at showing common connections you may have to people you would like to outreach to, similar to LinkedIn, but in a much more powerful and in-depth way. This is one of the most universally used features for our users.

- Organizing contacts into lists is also another powerful feature we frequently use. We like to organize our contacts in lists based on a defined set of criteria. For example, I like to organize our open reqs. in a pipeline type fashion so I can quickly see where in the process our candidates are.

- As the Admin for this tool, providing/revoking permissions is easy.

- I have worked with 2 really good CSMs who are extremely professional and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

- There are some basic analytics available, but you have to purchase an add-on to get really in-depth analytics. This was a little disappointing, but not a deal-breaker.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to easily track our connections via lists and most of the connections already have contact information associated which saves time versus imputing everything manually into an Excel sheet. We also use an API that enriches some of our proprietary database's data.

  ### 28. Affinity = Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I love how helpful Affinity is in saving time and gathering information!

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

N/A - Always happy to see updates & new features though!

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to find answers to questions without taking the added time to directly ask someone a question that I can find the answer to in Affinity. I am able to pull information quickly & accurately for anyone on our team!

  ### 29. Simple, Useful CRM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek K. | Vice President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

In general, Affinity is a simple and easy-to-use CRM. In particular, the Gmail plugin allows my teams to add new contacts, companies, and sales leads directly from their inbox.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

The analytics capabilities are somewhat poor (at least with the non-Premium version). The best way to analyze your data is to output to a .csv and use Excel. It would be nice to have more analytics reports native to the software (e.g., leads per month over time, etc.)

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Affinity as our primary CRM and to manage our sales pipeline (via a Kanban board setup). It is easy to manage and update these two functions with Affinity.

  ### 30. Associate, Venture Capital

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

It helps me keep things organized. Tracking becomes very easy with this.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

It can become very cluttered and difficult to modify it as you wish

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity:**

Use it, it is helpful

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deal flow tracking. It ensures nothing is missed out, collaboration across teams becomes super easy as well!

  ### 31. Head of Capital

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Efficiently tracking contacts and relationships

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Platform can be quite slow and clunky at times

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are tracking our customer conversations

  ### 32. Stellar product for all sorts of relationship related research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

It's intuitive and easy to use. It's great to work across the team, and it's pretty powerful when digging and searching through your network and your allies network.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

It can get a bit expensive, but we've found it to be worth it's weight in gold when it comes to relationship management. Finding that right fit customer, client, user, inside of an org., pays for itself.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly sales and investor relationship and search

  ### 33. Affinity is a game changer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blake W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity helps our team stay organized with all of our prospects and spearheads our team's collaboration with new business efforts. In addition to prospect organization, Affinity allows us to stay organized with our network of influencers and champions.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

There isn't anything glaring that our team dislikes. The Affinity team is extremely responsive and that allows us to make any necessary changes to the platform. They also do a fantastic job of notifying our team on any new features and are extremely hands-on during the onboarding process of a new employee.

One thing that can improve is having more consistency with the Affinity Relationship Intelligence tool. I try and use that when identifying connects to venture capital firms. I often find that the tool doesn't pull all of our connections. For example, on the General Catalyst portfolio page, it didn't pull all of our firm's connections. Hubspot is a client that we collaborate with on a daily basis and the Affinity Relationship Intelligence only pulled GC and one other company.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity:**

Having more consistency with the web pages that pull all of our connections.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Affinity Relationship Intelligence tool streamlines my new business efforts and allows me to connect the dots much more effectively. As this tool continues to improve, so does our new business efforts.

  ### 34. Effective CRM for Logging Contacts & Relationships

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity has been a refreshing tool for our CRM, as we migrated from a competing platform to Affinity. We are an investment firm and primarily use the CRM to log contacts, map relationships, strengths of those connections, and map our deal pipeline. The ability to map email activity has been a game changer!

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

This is not a "dislike" but more of an adjustment for our firm as we transitioned Interface is more "trendy" (e.g. responsive design, sleek interface) which was a cultural adjustment for our firm as we were not used to the more "modern" style versus more traditional CRMs that are more clunky. We also know there are some adjustments and improvements to come in terms of time-series reporting and analytics, which will be helpful.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Firstly, we had a problem previously with communicating with contacts across the team; we'd step on each others' toes but now we've avoided doing so. This has resulted in more seamless communication.
Secondly, we have been using Affinity for logging all of our tracked investment prospects. This has been useful in tracking entities across the lifecycle.

  ### 35. Solid CRM for Venture Style Relationship Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles C. | Senior Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

- Having the entire email history from all of our various team members and network sync with our data base allows us to not miss out on relationships that we would have otherwise missed due to non-compliance around logging meetings, notes, etc. (people are shocked that I'm able to refer to meetings in 2012 even though we've only been using Affinity for a couple years)
- UX/UI is very clean (i.e., love "Excel" based list style) and there are a lot of features that help save key strokes / automate processes (i.e., automated fields, reminders, triggers). Having a lightweight mobile app helps for pre-meeting prep on trips.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

- Needs better out-of-the-box reporting and not especially well built for broker type relationships (i.e., managing banks, lenders, etc.)
- Would like better meshing between Opportunities and Companies
- Would like a more robust importer

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Salesforce was too cumbersome and this was a better vertical specific CRM application
- Has saved tremendous amount of time and have removed pain point around missed email history / notes

  ### 36. Collaborative & Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I've been able to effectively collaborate with key team members to amplify our networks. The ability to have so much collaboration creates more value across our networks. I've also found the product to be extremely easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

So far so good! There isn't anything I don't dislike.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing relationships -- tracking recent contact points.
Combining networks -- to surface new connections.

  ### 37. Simple and efficient but not for intense analytics

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

It's easy to get started, the UI is elegant, the Crunchbase integrations are helpful, and it's easy to configure to how we work. The integration with calendar and email is really helpful to make sure things don't drop through the cracks.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

The analytics capacity is sorely lacking relative to a more full feature CRM like a Salesforce. You can't really run reports. I wanted to get the raw data behind all the opportunities that had moved through a given stage in a time window, and there was no way to get the raw data, only aggregates.

Also, the API is a bit under-featured but it's getting better.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking companies and opportunities and understanding our communication patterns with the venture ecosystem.

We work more efficiently and don't lose track of stuff.

  ### 38. Great tool to keep track of long term relationships

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I like the way Affinity scrapes emails and makes my relationships and conversations known before I reach out to a prospect. Also love how easy it is to create various columns and use filters

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

I think the dashboards and reporting need some improvement

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity:**

Definitely give this a try, it's refreshing and changes the way we track relationships

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multiple members of the team work with a prospect and we need notes and context across the firm to make the experience seamless and this helps us with that

  ### 39. Great product, even better customer experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate R. | Co-Founder, Co-CEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity has incredible flexibility and customization. For users who are looking to utilize custom fields, automation, and network intelligence (i.e., recommended pathways to an introduction), there is no better tool.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Can't think of anything really. The product and the team were fabulous.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For business like ours who have large contract value and need to optimize every single interaction, we need to know the best pathway to get a warm introduction.

  ### 40. Great tool for managing lists with nice integrations into related services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

The API and integrations are definitely the most valuable piece of this from my perspective (IT)

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

The limitations around calculated formulas, although they are working on solving this with integrations into GSheets, and other components.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity:**

Integrate with Power BI.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using this as our core CRM that centralizes all the data and information we use to manage our deal pipeline.

  ### 41. Tried other things, Affinity works great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity provides extreme clarity on the relationships in our network, especially to overlapping ones. We don't have to manually figure out relationship strengths. That process is time-consuming, and reaching out from the wrong point of contact can lead to dead ends.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Nothing I can think of. Every feature has been useful.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves time, optimizes for replies, and helps find the most authentic avenue to engage + keep relationships.

  ### 42. Jovian has been an amazing partner at Affinity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Access to support is key. There are many aspects to understand and direct access to support simplifies the frustration.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

There are many variables in Affinity which feel overwhelming. Integrations could also be more simplified.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Group integration within our company. Shared resources. We are solving efficiency and redundancy. One system for collective effort.

  ### 43. Great idea, lots of problems

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Being able to see co-worker's relationship contexts, data from clearbit for free, auto-logging of comms, nice customer support rep/people

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Have used it for many years and there's been little improvement, consistently horrible UX that gets worse over time, poor data quality and errors often produced.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity:**

Check out Salesforce

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking relations with people, creating lists of people

  ### 44. Powerful tool for managing relationships and creating lists

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hari A. | Partnerships Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity is extremely powerful for tracking relationships - giving you reminders to reply to or chase emails, tracking the frequency of meetings or calls, and surfacing who might be able to introduce you to potential business leads.

It has the potential to be even better for sales than LinkedIn.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

The network is limited by the amount of users - so if not many people in your network are using Affinity, you lose some of the power of, for instance, seeing who might be a strong connection to the person you want to get to. Sometimes the breadth of tools available can mean information is cluttered, and occasionally it will pull in information that you don't want, or information that is too general. The integrations with other products could also be stronger - for instance integrating with Slack would be useful. It also pulls in just email contacts, whereas being able to analyse all social media in this case could also be helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity:**

Best if you know your network is already using the product to track relationships. Also better as part of a team rather than solo lead generation.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating sales pipelines was much easier, quicker and more effective with Affinity than anywhere else. Managed to quickly see who had a connection with the person I was trying to reach. The product allows you to identify an opportunity, qualify it and then move it towards an activated partnership.

  ### 45. Excellent CRM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

The ability to see relationship strength within my network lets me understand who is best able to introduce me or who within my company already knows a company and may have met with them in the past.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

We don't keep our meeting notes in Affinity and use Google Docs/Evernote instead as you can't save templates and it's challenging to export for drafting ICMs.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity:**

It's expensive but worth the cost! It saves a lot of time and relationship social capital by not forcing me to ask people for introductions who don't know the company well.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me save time in getting intros to companies and understanding who my colleagues know and which companies they're speaking to.

  ### 46. game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke D. | Director, Strategic Partnerships, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

Affinity is a unique solution that has redefined how we think about relationships. Within an easy-to-use UI, our team has been able to create "Alliances" which is a basically a universal rolodex with valuable insights powered by machine-learning. As a result, we're able to source and close more deals, quicker (and also uncover opportunities we didn't know were there).

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Not much to dislike, but I'd like to see more reporting and data that's relevant to our vertical (healthcare). I've shared this feedback with the product team and they were responsive.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity:**

Based on my experience and the teams using Affinity, I expect most companies to adopt this technology. It's comparable to a Linkedin Teams solution but with better insights and underlying data.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business is all about relationships, and historically "relationships" are scattered across CRMs, social media, email, and cell phones. Affinity not only provides a more cohesive view, but provides insights into who knows who throughout our organization. We're able to source and close more deals, quicker.

  ### 47. The best relationship intelligence platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin L. | Chief of Staff, Investment Team, Venture Capital & Private Equity, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I love everything about the Affinity product. It's clearly designed from a user-first perspective and the product has a easy-to-use, well designed interface that helps me better manage my network and relationships. One of the best parts about using Affinity is that it also minimizes any valuable time wasted by data-entry since it intelligently auto-populates important information.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

Affinity gets even more powerful when more people in my network use the product so I dislike that more people aren't using such an amazing product!

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity helps me manage my pipeline of company investments and store importants information about my network and founders that I've spoken to. Affinity is absolutely crucial for ensuring that no action item slips through the cracks and has helped ensure that our investments are completed smoothly and as efficiently as possible.

  ### 48. Investor

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I really like how easy it is to use and track various relationships.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

There needs to be an easier way to link various individuals to deals.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity:**

Calendar offerings

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client relation management

  ### 49. An excellent Relationship Intelligence platform for agencies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt M. | Managing Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

I love how Affinity lets me find connections to other people in the industry, whether to journalists, freelancers or potential clients. Through the platform’s Alliances feature, I can see which person in my network is connected to the people I’m seeking an introduction to, and I can tell how well acquainted they are so I know if it’s a good fit for a warm intro. I also really like the productivity tools that remind me when I haven’t responded to an email, for example, or that tell me when I’m close to letting a relationship go cold.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

There’s nothing in particular I dislike. I was one of the early testers of Alliances and found a bug or two, but those seem to be fixed by now.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m mainly using the Relationship Intelligence parts, to ask for warm introductions to people. I love digging through my network to analyze my connections and discover who knows who, how they know each other, etc. It’s very useful to our agency when trying to break in with a particular journalist or when talking to new prospects. We have already landed at least one new client and placed multiple stories thanks to leads we generated through Affinity.

  ### 50. 8VC Operations Director

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caroline G. | Operations Director, Venture Capital & Private Equity, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Affinity?**

My, personal, favorite part of Affinity is to drill into a list and instantly see a snapshot of interactions with each entity. I am able to quickly identify any relationship that might be due for some attention, relationships that might otherwise have been inadvertently dropped.

**What do you dislike about Affinity?**

There really isn't a lot that I don't like about Affinity. They're constantly iterating, improving the existing product while building new features.

**What problems is Affinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity has given us insight into our network that we simply didn’t have before. At any moment, any member of our team can see the status of a relationship – who that individual or organization is in contact with, how frequently, and in what manner. Not only that, but Affinity allows us the insight into how entities in our network are related and connected to each other – something we simply didn’t have before, in any form. For the first time, we are able to centralize our data, allowing us the ability to build work flows and processes that we can trust on top of it.
