What do you like best about TriNet?

We are a small company (under 20 employees) and TriNet saves us time and money (costs less that 1 FTE employee in HR). Of all the software programs I have used over the past 25+ years, TriNet has been the easiest and smoothest implementation and transition. I have used their customer support features often and they have always resolved my issues. Another plus is the wide variety of benefits that employees can choose from. What do you dislike about TriNet?

The website could have an easier flow with all options available in a single drop down. On features I rarely use, I sometimes forget which menu (or which dashboard feature) houses the option. The only other part of the platform that needs some work is the Applicant Tracking System. Hopefully AI will enhance and smooth out this module in the future. What do you like best about TriNet?

TriNet gives me a strong sense of security. There are numerous safeguards in place to make sure you always remain compliant with state, federal, and local regulations. In addition, the platform offers a variety of useful tools and engaging content, which help keep administrators motivated and encourage a deeper understanding of everything the platform has to offer. What do you dislike about TriNet?

Those same safeguards that provide a sense of security can feel limiting and constraining. TriNet does not allow the same level of access to certain reports and records that you may be used to with other PEOs. "Efficient, Accurate, but Needs Faster Support"
What do you like best about TriNet?

I find TriNet makes things very accurate and makes a lot of tasks seamless. I love that everything an employee needs is online and available, really getting most of these tasks off my plate. I like that there is always a way to get in touch with someone, and multiple ways to do so. The way you input any changes, and it just smoothly goes over to payroll, is great. What do you dislike about TriNet?

The time between submitting the payroll and getting it back is very tight, especially since I need to fund the payroll as well. Also, it takes many of the departments, particularly when dealing with issues like taxes or LOAs, longer than a week to get back to you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Convenient All-in-One HR Solution, But Pricey"
What do you like best about TriNet?

I think just the all-in-one feature of TriNet is uber convenient. Having them do all the things to make sure the tax entities are set up correctly and handling all the tax stuff is very helpful. They also manage all the audits and the payroll throughout the year, which is helpful to have in one place. It’s very helpful because we have people all over the United States, and TriNet handles new hires and tax filings for different states, so we don’t have to worry about that. What do you dislike about TriNet?

I feel that sometimes our hands are tied behind our back. We don't have a say, it's either TriNet's way or, you know, that's the only way to do things. Even if it doesn't necessarily work well for our company. And it's just expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TriNet?

I love that TriNet provides full payroll and tax compliance in a truly hands-off manner. It's a big win for us because they handle all federal, state, and local payroll taxes automatically, including filings and deposits. We don't have to calculate anything or worry about penalties. This is especially important for us as a team without a dedicated payroll specialist. I also appreciate the Fortune-500-level benefits TriNet offers at SMB pricing. As a smaller company, we could never get high-quality health, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans affordably on our own. Thanks to TriNet's PEO model, we have access to lower premium health insurance and managed 401(k), which helps us recruit and retain better talent. The initial setup of TriNet was smooth, though it wasn't a quick setup, it makes sense since it's a full PEO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

I have concerns with the limited customization for workflows and policies. Since it's a standardized PEO platform, we have to adapt to TriNet's process, rather than the system accommodating ours. We can't fully tweak approval flows for PTO or onboarding to match our internal workflow. The admin fees feel a bit high, especially since the offering seems limited to basic policies and handbooks for the company, and we still have to create many of our own policies and our handbook, even at the state level. What do you like best about TriNet?

I use TriNet to clock in and out of work and submit time off requests. I like that it makes tracking my work hours a breeze and helps keep a record of my paychecks. Using TriNet is convenient as I can access it easily from anywhere on my phone. I really value the ability to clock in and out with ease, which allows me to track my hours and look at my paycheck without any hassle. What do you dislike about TriNet?

What do you like best about TriNet?

I like how easy and intuitive it is to request PTO, see company holidays, and enroll in insurance with TriNet. I appreciate that I can view my W2 on the platform, making it simple to handle taxes. Having access to my PTO allows me to plan my vacation around work. The support chat has been really helpful whenever I have questions about my paycheck. What do you dislike about TriNet?

TriNet perks kinda suck. I wish for a better restaurant selection and more attractive attraction tickets like aquarium or Six Flags, hotel discounts, etc. I remember my previous health insurance gave a healthcare premium discount or subsidy if I did a monthly health-related activity like an online nutrition workshop or getting a checkup. What do you like best about TriNet?

I don't have to worry about compliance or regulatory updates as TriNet keeps us compliant in all the states in which we operate. I like having everything HR all in one place, allowing me to manage all HR items like payroll, time off, and benefits effortlessly. I enjoy having access to support via chat. Sometimes the Tier 1 chat support can be lacking, and more complex issues require an escalation and an email response, so I can't always get a solution from chat right away. "Streamlined Compliance and HR Processes"
What do you like best about TriNet?

I really appreciate TriNet’s service team because they are quick and helpful. With employees in 10 states, it's a relief to rely on TriNet as an expert to ensure we comply with state-specific laws and regulations, giving us peace of mind. I like that their time tracking feature allows employees to self-service, making it easy for managers to review and edit as needed. Being a small organization, they have also assisted us in finding suitable insurance options. TriNet has simplified our payroll process, significantly reducing the time it takes to prepare and process it over the past few years. The initial setup was hiccuped by emails going to quarantine, but besides that, it was exceptional. What do you dislike about TriNet?

We had issues with the employee review platform they have, so we didn't adopt it (when we tried it out a few years ago - it may have improved since). It wasn't really user-friendly. Another area of improvement is that company admins need visibility into all the tickets submitted for the organization to see what issues employees are reporting and ensure they're being resolved in the expected timeframe. Additionally, their time tracking platform is separate from payroll, requiring us to download a report from the time tracking platform and then upload it to payroll; they could make that a seamless experience.
