What do you like best about TriNet?

We are a small company (under 20 employees) and TriNet saves us time and money (costs less that 1 FTE employee in HR). Of all the software programs I have used over the past 25+ years, TriNet has been the easiest and smoothest implementation and transition. I have used their customer support features often and they have always resolved my issues. Another plus is the wide variety of benefits that employees can choose from. What do you dislike about TriNet?

The website could have an easier flow with all options available in a single drop down. On features I rarely use, I sometimes forget which menu (or which dashboard feature) houses the option. The only other part of the platform that needs some work is the Applicant Tracking System. Hopefully AI will enhance and smooth out this module in the future. What do you like best about TriNet?

TriNet gives me a strong sense of security. There are numerous safeguards in place to make sure you always remain compliant with state, federal, and local regulations. In addition, the platform offers a variety of useful tools and engaging content, which help keep administrators motivated and encourage a deeper understanding of everything the platform has to offer. What do you dislike about TriNet?

Those same safeguards that provide a sense of security can feel limiting and constraining. TriNet does not allow the same level of access to certain reports and records that you may be used to with other PEOs. "Efficient, Accurate, but Needs Faster Support"
What do you like best about TriNet?

I find TriNet makes things very accurate and makes a lot of tasks seamless. I love that everything an employee needs is online and available, really getting most of these tasks off my plate. I like that there is always a way to get in touch with someone, and multiple ways to do so. The way you input any changes, and it just smoothly goes over to payroll, is great. What do you dislike about TriNet?

The time between submitting the payroll and getting it back is very tight, especially since I need to fund the payroll as well. What do you like best about TriNet?

I don't have to worry about compliance or regulatory updates as TriNet keeps us compliant in all the states in which we operate. I like having everything HR all in one place, allowing me to manage all HR items like payroll, time off, and benefits effortlessly. I enjoy having access to support via chat. What do you dislike about TriNet?

Sometimes the Tier 1 chat support can be lacking, and more complex issues require an escalation and an email response, so I can't always get a solution from chat right away. "Streamlined Compliance and HR Processes"
What do you like best about TriNet?

I really appreciate TriNet’s service team because they are quick and helpful. With employees in 10 states, it's a relief to rely on TriNet as an expert to ensure we comply with state-specific laws and regulations, giving us peace of mind. I like that their time tracking feature allows employees to self-service, making it easy for managers to review and edit as needed. Being a small organization, they have also assisted us in finding suitable insurance options. TriNet has simplified our payroll process, significantly reducing the time it takes to prepare and process it over the past few years. The initial setup was hiccuped by emails going to quarantine, but besides that, it was exceptional. Their onboarding team was well organized, knowledgeable, efficient, and provided all the support we needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

We had issues with the employee review platform they have, so we didn't adopt it (when we tried it out a few years ago - it may have improved since). It wasn't really user-friendly. Another area of improvement is that company admins need visibility into all the tickets submitted for the organization to see what issues employees are reporting and ensure they're being resolved in the expected timeframe. Additionally, their time tracking platform is separate from payroll, requiring us to download a report from the time tracking platform and then upload it to payroll; they could make that a seamless experience. "User-Friendly, Streamlined Compliance"
What do you like best about TriNet?

I really like that TriNet answers benefit queries directly, saving us a lot of bandwidth and allowing us to focus on strategic initiatives and tasks. The platform is pretty user-friendly. I also appreciate the poster compliance center and the TriNet reference library, which is a great source for learning about new things and helps us stay compliant with changes in regulations. The reports and analytics section is another feature I like, with a lot of pre-populated reports available. The ability to learn about new topics and collaborate in a fun way through the wing is a good feature too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

I find it a bit difficult to understand the internal structure of the TriNet team and how different teams handle various queries. It would be really beneficial to understand the backend org. chart better so we can go to the right person initially, which would eliminate a lot of waiting time. Also, there are some edits we're not able to make as admins because they're handled by the backend TriNet team. This sometimes restricts us from fully taking control as HR admins. What do you like best about TriNet?

I like the interactive tool for exempt and non-exempt testing and the handbook tool. It helps us to decide whether somebody should be categorized as exempt or nonexempt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

The process to make changes to our pay file is very time-consuming and slow. We are not able to go in and make our own edits, and it can delay the process by one to two days, where the edit could only take ten seconds. The initial setup of TriNet was pretty intensive; it took ninety days before we felt some comfort running payroll. After eight months, we're still learning all the different resources on the system, so it is very labor and time intensive. TriNet is one of the most expensive databases, so recommending it would depend on their type of business and budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TriNet?

I appreciate that TriNet has everything we need all in one place, making it easy to pay our employees, access benefits, time off requests, and more. I like that whenever I have an issue, I can either email my contact or start a chat with the TriNet reps to get a quick solution. What do you dislike about TriNet?

When it comes to making employee changes, especially regarding salary, I would like to be able to go to their profile and see all the salary increases that were ever made. What do you like best about TriNet?

What I appreciate most is that the interface is very user-friendly, making it easy for new clients and employees alike to become familiar with the Trinet Webportal. Additionally, TriNet provides a broad selection of comprehensive benefits, which has been especially effective for our small to mid-sized company. We have used Trinet for over a decade, starting with about 30 employees and now growing to nearly 300. What do you dislike about TriNet?
