Users consistently praise the ease of use and integration with QuickBooks, highlighting how it simplifies payroll management and tax calculations. Many appreciate the intuitive interface that allows even those without prior payroll experience to navigate the software effectively. What do you dislike about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll?

SUPER Costly. I guess I'm not 100% sure how much other services cost, but I feel like having something integrated should LOWER the cost. It seems extrememly high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Payroll in one place, just kinda clunky"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll?

It's beyond helpful to have eveyrthing tou need all in one place. QuickBooks helps to streamline the localization process by keeping employee information in one place and centralizing taxes under on eprogram. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll?

Some user-interface choices are interesting to say the least. The sfotware is difficult to pick up, but when you learn it, things tend to stick throughout the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Does the job well, but at a cost!"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll?

The biggest help with QB Desktop Payroll is that we already use QB for other accounting needs, and it helps us by correctly calculating Liabilities (Federal/State/Local Tax, plus Social Security or other withholding). It also automatically updates these calculations should laws change for your needs. We also only use the paper check option, so I can't comment about the integrated Direct Deposit option, though it exists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll?

My biggest issue with QB is that first, you have a yearly subscription to QB Desktop and a secondary subscription to use the Payroll option. A combined $1000 (plus the per-employee fees, etc.) per year can be a chunk out of the budget. The other side of the coin is you will always have a cost to payroll, and what is it worth to you to have it all in one system. My most frequent request to QB regarding Payroll would be to have an "a-la-carte" option for the many different capabilities, as many companies may not need all of the Bells and Whistles but must pay for them in the package deal. "Easy interface that's self explanatory"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll?

Quickbooks payroll is perfect for a small business or small non profit organization. Its very easy to navigate and pretty self explanatory, I figured it out myself but I don't necessarily recommend that to be the best option for all people. I am just happen to learn better hands on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll?

Multi user option would be great for times when the main payroll employee is out of the office. You can always share login info but for security purposes and documentation, I think it's important to have multiple user option. You have to pay for each user license and I don't believe its very cost efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Payroll for anyone in need of a reliable and efficient payroll solution."
What do you like best about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll?

I have been using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll for the past year and have been extremely satisfied with its performance. The setup process was quick and easy, and the interface was user-friendly and intuitive. The payroll calculations have always been accurate, and the direct deposit feature has been a lifesaver.

Overall, I highly recommend QuickBooks Desktop Payroll for anyone in need of a reliable and efficient payroll solution. The only thing that I would change is the price, which can be a bit steep for some small business owners. However, considering the time and stress that it saves, I believe it is worth the investment. What do you dislike about QuickBooks Desktop Payroll?

One of the standout features of QuickBooks Desktop Payroll is the ability to easily generate and print pay stubs, as well as file and pay taxes electronically. This has saved me a lot of time and hassle, as I no longer have to worry about manually calculating taxes or filling out paper forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Quickbooks desktop payroll worked for our small business for 20 years. It was simple and logical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
