**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

Folks HR has genuinely streamlined how we handle day-to-day HR tasks. Managing time-off requests, timesheets, onboarding, offboarding, and keeping records up to date used to involve a lot of switching between tools now it's all in one place. In our 5 years of use, it's been consistently reliable,   and the support team is always helpful and responsive whenever we've had questions, and for everything it covers, we absolutely get our money's worth

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

The main thing we'd love to see is broader payroll integrations, it previously connected with our payroll provider but no longer does, so that's been a gap for us. On the employee side, the overtime tracking isn't the most intuitive to navigate as we get so many questions to this day about it. We've also noticed that overtime calculations don't come out correctly when there is a statutory holidays on that week, which requires manual correction on our end. These are areas that would make an already solid product even stronger.

**What problems is Folks HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Folks HR, employee information was scattered across different places. Now everything, employee records, timesheets, onboarding, and offboarding,  is all in one spot and easy to access. It's saved us a lot of time and made our HR processes much more organized overall.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

Folks is for us a complete all-in-one HR solution: my onboarding and offboarding, performance evaluation and supervisor feedback (+ self-assessment), a great help for accumulating training hours related to the 1% law as well as for our CPA professionals.

& much more. :)

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

Since our timesheets are with Big Time (because it includes billing), the vacation and leave module is not used to its full potential. We mainly use it to approve or deny vacations, but the tracking of these is still done in an Excel file.

Additionally, I would like employees to have access to birthdays and day-off information, without having access to everything about everyone...

**What problems is Folks HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In general, I always closely monitor my questions or problems. However, it's been a long time since everything has been going well and I haven't had to do so :)

For the ATS -> I still have some issues with the displays, but I am taken care of very quickly.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

I use Folks HR to collect personal information from my employees and I find the solution very easy to use and secure. It improves efficiency by reducing follow-ups with my colleagues and new employees. I like that most HR elements, especially on the payroll side, are available. I appreciate the ease of using leave and vacation requests, modifying salaries, collecting information, and entering training. Additionally, the implementation team has been a great help.

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

To sort personal information or to export, it is difficult if I want to sort on multiple aspects, for example, if I only want two types of job titles. Often I export everything and then sort it in Excel. It would be nice to have checkboxes that we could tick for specific columns or types that we want to see or export. Also, it would be nice to be able to change the order of the columns of an employee's information because those added at the end remain at the end of the table and on all pages. Our employees would like to have a real-time prediction of their vacation days for the year.

I use Folks HR to collect employees' personal information easily and securely, which makes the process more efficient. It facilitates the management of payroll, leaves and vacations, and salary changes, which improves our HR management.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

I use Folks HR for tracking vacation, absence, lieu time, employee data, and reports. Folks HR makes it easy for our staff to request and keep track of vacation, sick time, and lieu balances. The ease for running reports and requesting time off is great. Running reports in Folks HR is straightforward; you just choose the categories you want, and it exports the report in seconds. The initial setup was very easy, and working with Lisa was great—she even did training with our staff.

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

The Performance module is not great. It does not allow for custom rollout like every 2 years. Despite many requests to fix this module, it is still not fully functional for our use. We still have many problems locating our performance appraisals, and any changes you make to the template won't be evident until you roll them out the following year. That is not helpful at all. We tried to see if we could integrate with payroll but it isn't ready for that. We also hoped it would work with Quickbooks for accounting but it doesn't. The expense module could be a time saver, but I feel it's lacking some development.

Folks HR simplifies tracking vacation, sick time, and lieu balances and allows staff to update personal info and access documents. Reports are generated quickly and easily, streamlining HR processes. It centralizes performance appraisals, although the module has functional limitations.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

I appreciate the Folks HR report which shows the rate, the automatic calculation of the number of hours spent on tasks, and the absence rate. This helps us better manage operations and identify what works well or less well on a daily basis, allowing us to improve and better manage time.

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

The timesheet is too long to complete and is not user-friendly. Our entire team is complaining about this. The survey section is not as anonymous and does not motivate employees to express themselves transparently. Managing profiles, leave, and vacations requires going through several steps to access the modules. The software training is limited to videos and documentation on the site, which is not standard training. This forces us to read a lot and practice on our own, even though we pay for the software and implementation fees, which ends up being costly in terms of installation time.

I use Folks HR to track employees, manage tasks, leaves, and absences. It automates the calculation of working hours and absences, improving time management and operations.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

I really like the ease of use of the Folks HR platform. Its overall look is very intuitive and doesn't require too long of a training to understand how it works. The support I received, especially from Jean-Simon Bolduc, was excellent. He helps us step by step, always available to answer our questions, which made the integration very successful. Without this support, the integration might have been more difficult, but with his help, everything went very well.

For now, there have been some bugs with documents, but otherwise nothing to report for aspects to improve.

Folks HR helps me by having automated and uniform files, with everything accounted for in the same place. I appreciate the ease of use of the platform, with an intuitive interface that does not require extensive training.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

Folks is an HR tool that we quickly adopted... and that we wouldn't want to do without!

The management of leave and vacation requests is simple, clear, and really effective. The timesheet is also a big plus: it allows for easy transmission of hours to be paid to payroll, without any hassle.

We particularly appreciate the document resources section, which centralizes all HR documentation in one place—a real time-saver on a daily basis. The electronic signing of hiring documents is also super convenient and greatly simplifies our processes.

But above all, what sets Folks apart is its ease of use. No need to be an expert in software configuration: getting started is quick and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

The main impractical element on our side is the inability to connect our payroll system CTRL to Folks. As a result, employees do not have access to up-to-date information regarding their vacation and personal leave banks, nor to their pay stubs.

Folks HR allows us to centralize and simplify several HR processes that were previously scattered and more cumbersome to manage. The platform notably facilitates the management of leave requests, time sheet tracking, access to HR documentation, and electronic document signing.

This allows us to save time, reduce errors, and offer a better experience to employees, who have access to the information they need independently. On our side, it also lightens administrative tasks and allows us to focus more on value-added initiatives.

The timesheet, the payroll module that does not meet our needs, several small gaps during the hiring creations between ATS and Folks, system limitations especially during the creation of annual evaluation processes where the forms are really not suitable and practical.

First, advanced customization capabilities can sometimes be limited. For companies with very specific HR processes, there may be a lack of flexibility or require workarounds.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

Folks is an incredible software! Since our company started using it, we have saved time and money. It is easy-to-use software, and employees love its visual appeal and efficiency. The integration was easy with the employees. We were guided throughout the implementation, the trainers do an excellent job, and customer service is always there to answer our questions. We use it every day for our HR follow-ups and absence management. We conducted our performance evaluations at the beginning of this year, and it's just amazing how much time we saved. I recommend Folks to all companies!

We have no negative comments to make about this software, Folks is constantly evolving and innovating based on its clients.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

Ease of use. Many features available. Information is centralized and it's easier to find documents. I use Folks HR every day, it's our reference for everything related to employee files. Sales support is excellent. We have not yet implemented the platform with all employees because we have not finished the integration.

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

No integration of Indeed with the ATS platform at the moment. It negatively impacts our experience. 
Long to integrate all the features. 
Customer support is less interesting. Everything is done by email, no way to reach someone by phone for a quick question.

**What problems is Folks HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralization of data on a single platform, which prevents searching for information in too many folders. Excel is almost no longer part of my life. I love the reports for training hours and the associated costs (salary + cost), easy for the DEMES and the costs for the 1% law. The reminders for expired cards or certificates allow you to always stay up to date.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

Its the people at FolkHR that make huge difference in my daily HR life. Their expert advice, solutions to my inquries  and professionalism is always delivered with attention to detail, timely responses and a sense of genuine kindness.
The whole FolksHR system from implementation to launch was seamless and smooth. The system is user friendly and saves our HR and management team time in their day to focus on business reated tasks and not on shuffling paperwork.
Our employees find the FolksHR system easy to use and the newly updated Folks HR app has been a great addition.

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

The HRIS does not notify HR when an employee vacation/absence request has been granted by a supervisor/manager.

**What problems is Folks HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deciding to bring FolksHR into our life at Rental Village has allowed our HR and Administration departments to go completely digital with employee/personnel files. Saving this department close to 100 hrs of people time to focus on other business related tasks.  
FolkHR has allowed our management team to quickly and efficently record details to each employee file  whenever it is required to note important items.
The annual review process is now looked forward to due to the fact that it is all online and can be completed within 10-15 min with no paperwork. The communication functions allow for a seemless process from begining to end.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

All the features one could wish for are gathered on a single platform: vacation requests, expense accounts, disciplinary notices, onboarding processes, etc. Customer service is efficient and courteous. Most of the features are intuitive and easy to grasp.

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

The platform is not fully customizable. The employee satisfaction survey module, for example, is practically unusable because it is impossible to modify it.

**What problems is Folks HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralization of information. For example, I receive an application on my website and it arrives in the ATS. My recruitment process is clearly defined there and I just have to follow each step. As soon as I click on Hire, the application is transferred into an employee profile on Folks and allows me to start the onboarding process. I can have the contract signed digitally, indicate what equipment the employee will have in their possession, link their banking information to our payroll system, generate an end-of-probation evaluation process, in short, all of this on a single platform.

**What do you like best about Folks HR?**

The interface. I find it easy to understand, and it's easy to find the information. Another big plus is the customer service. When we encounter a bug, simply write them an email and we get a response very quickly, usually the same day.

**What do you dislike about Folks HR?**

I would like to have the ability to switch from one employee to another without having to search, for example with an arrow, and to be able to sort employees by department or by last name, for example. I would also like the option to sort attachments in employee folders, and even create subfolders (e.g., hiring, departure, insurance, retirement savings plan, etc.). It can be difficult to find the appropriate document when we have a long-term employee with many documents.

Everyday bugs, or simply a basic question, customer service is A+.

Our organization was new to using an HR software when we made the decision to try FOLKS HR.  Our employees have found it to be very user friendly, easy to navigate and find the information you are looking for.
It provides a cost effective to manage your employee data and HR related tasks all in one convenient spot.
We found the implementation process quite easy and the training provide was great.
The ongoing support is very quick and efficent.

No downsides to using this software.
In the future I know that they will continue to enhance the product and I look forward to more report features and customizations.
