One area where Proliant could improve is its Learning Management System (LMS). While it offers basic training functionality, it's not as robust as a dedicated LMS platform. I really appreciate ProLiant for taking care of payroll for two different companies, which means I don't have to handle in-house payroll. I find their accurate tax reporting and payment system incredibly helpful, reducing a lot of stress for me. Plus, my employees love having digital access to their pay information. The personal touch of having a dedicated account manager is a big win over dealing with an 800 number and different people each time. The time and labor part of ProLiant can be frustrating because when employees clock in and out, it sometimes doesn't work properly, and I have to manually edit time punches. I like that ProLiant is easy to use and that it processes my payroll tasks quickly. I can handle my payroll on a Monday and have everything ready by Tuesday or Wednesday, which saves me time and lets me focus on my customers instead of paperwork. I like ProLiant’s customizable automated onboarding workflow templates. We can build tailored task sequences and state compliance form packets directly inside the platform. When onboarding a new consulting project manager, it auto-sends forms, reminders, and document collection tasks. Our lean team has no dedicated IT, so these pre-built workflows drastically cut manual HR work and help us meet tight hiring compliance deadlines. The template branching logic is especially valuable, allowing us to set conditional tasks for different employee types. This eliminates redundant manual work and ensures we consistently meet state HR compliance deadlines for every new hire. The initial setup of ProLiant was mostly intuitive, and importing our existing employee records went smoothly, which we managed ourselves without a dedicated IT team. ProLiant’s cross-module reporting is limited, and some configuration changes require support tickets instead of self-service edits. When compiling quarterly talent metrics for our consulting team, we struggled to pull combined onboarding and performance data in one report. Our team has no dedicated IT, so waiting for support slows us down. Built-in custom HR report builders would save us time when preparing compliance and talent lifecycle summaries. Also, when working to integrate data from our applicant tracking system, manual file uploads are necessary, and seamless integration would be more efficient. I appreciate ProLiant's excellent customer service, especially Caleb Lamb, who is easy to work with and helps us navigate complex issues, either handling them himself or connecting us to the right department. I really like the time importing and the automatic 401k and work comp reporting with each payroll process. The employee access and onboarding integration, which notifies us and allows on-site managers to onboard new employees, are very beneficial. I like using ProLiant for its ability to integrate with many different softwares. It's great that we can integrate all platforms into SSO, which makes it much easier for our team members. They have one login instead of multiple logins and can easily navigate to find what they need. The initial setup of ProLiant was easy, which was a nice surprise. I like that it makes running payroll easier for our small business. As a small family business, I can make sure everything is correct on our end, and ProLiant can handle all the processing for us. I honestly haven’t found a downside to using ProLiant compared to our previous process. The only thing I can point to is that if our internet connection goes down, or if ProLiant is having technical issues, it can create a short wait period.
