"Reliable, Accurate Payroll & HR with Convenient Self-Service"
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

ADP is a reliable payroll and HR system that many businesses use to manage employee pay, taxes, and timekeeping. One of its biggest strengths is accuracy—payroll processing and tax calculations are dependable, which helps reduce errors and compliance issues. The employee self-service features are also convenient, allowing workers to view pay stubs and tax forms without having to contact HR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

ADP can feel a bit complicated at first, especially for new users, and it may take some time to learn all of its features. It can also be more expensive than some other payroll options. Overall, ADP is a solid choice for companies that want a trustworthy and comprehensive payroll and HR solution, especially as they grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Working with ADP Workforce "
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

When I get an ADP rep that I can understand clearly and they seem to want to make sure all my questions and needs are addressed.

I love the instant preview process & being able to see in real time info on our employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

On occasion I will get an ADP rep that I have trouble understanding and therefore I'm not 100% sure that they fully understand my question or needs.

The connection between adding states for Workers Comp and the renewal. I will receive emails saying my Work Comp policy is available for download and for all the years I can remember, the download is never there on the portal. I have to call ADP Insurance dept & ask them to resend. Which is what I need to do after this review as my policy is not there to upload for 2019.

Wish there were HSA limits to set to help me stay on track to avoid overfunding someone's HSA account, i.e. like there are for 401k deferrals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Wonderful All-in-One Payroll, HR & Benefits Platform with Reliable Compliance"
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

All-in-one coverage: Payroll, HR, benefits, time & attendance, and reporting are integrated, which reduces duplicate data entry and helps keep records consistent.

Payroll reliability & compliance: ADP’s payroll engine is strong, especially for tax calculations, filings, and multi-state compliance—this is a big confidence booster for many organizations.

Scalability: It works well for mid-sized companies that are growing and need more structure without jumping to an enterprise-only system.

Employee self-service: Employees can access pay statements, tax forms, benefits, and personal info easily, which cuts down on HR admin work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

Usability & Interface

Clunky or outdated UI — Some users feel the interface isn’t as intuitive or modern as newer HR platforms.

Hard to navigate — Complex menus can make simple tasks feel buried or take extra clicks.

❌ Complexity & Customization

Limited customization — Making the system behave exactly how your org wants can require workarounds or extra setup.

Configuration challenges — Setting up advanced workflows or rules isn’t always straightforward without support.

❌ Reporting

Reporting quirks — While there’s robust reporting, building custom reports can be cumbersome compared with more modern analytics tools.

❌ Performance Issues

Slow load times — Especially for large data sets or reports, performance can lag.

Occasional bugs — Like many large systems, users sometimes encounter glitches that need support intervention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top-Notch Support with Room for UI Improvement"
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

I like the customer service ADP provides. They offer many learning modules for their system, and there is always a customer service agent available to help. The chat feature is great; you get to speak with a live agent (not AI) who can guide you through almost any process. I needed help setting up our benefits options, and the agent on the chat feature walked me through the entire set-up process and stayed on the chat until I had complete confidence to move forward. Although the initial setup of ADP Workforce Now was moderately easy, there were some bumps along the way, but the customer service to get it straightened out was top-notch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

I think the recruitment page can be more user-friendly, it takes some time to learn how to navigate it. I was having trouble finding where to re-open a job post after I had closed it. Navigating to that was not very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clunky Reporting, Limited Support Hurts Usability"
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

I like ADP Workforce Now because it's easy to chat with someone when needed. It's valuable as it seems like a PEO system, so it simplifies administering benefits and 401(k). I appreciate how it allows us to easily input state details to ensure payroll taxes are withheld and remitted to the correct state and federal agencies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

I think it would be nice to have more clarity on how to pull certain reports and how to input specific payroll details in a better, more simplified manner. And I would also like to see them have more help articles, just kinda like Gusto does, to allow us to easily search and find ways to add admin users or add certain pay codes. I think it's a little clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive and User-Friendly HR Solution"
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

I like the ease of access to everything and the user-friendly setup of ADP Workforce Now. It was just easy to navigate, and I didn't really have to be trained. You just log in and everything makes sense. I also found it super easy to contact ADP to obtain my taxes from an old employer. Additionally, I appreciate that I never really had any issues using it and it always had quick support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

I really don’t have any complaints about the software. I guess if I had to pick something maybe that as soon as you login if you use it to clock in and out that your time clock would be the first thing you see on the screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Salary Tracking with Clear Graphical Breakdown"
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

ADP helps me track my salary slips and also provides a detailed view of my salary, with each component shown in a graphical format. It lets me know the next salary date, and it stores my important documents so I can download them easily. The interface is user-friendly and simple to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

Currently, we use ADP mainly for salary and payroll, but we need to leverage more of its features to support a smoother, more efficient HR-related process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile HR Solution, UI Needs Refresh"
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

I like that ADP Workforce Now has a lot of modules and features, so you can do a lot of stuff. It's not just based around surveys or reviews. There's a lot that you can do around payroll, expenses, and taxes, especially if you're dealing with global employees. It's pretty much one platform where you can manage everything related to human resources and a lot of other things as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

I didn't like the UI a lot. It's very heavy and difficult to use. It needs an update. A UI upgrade to make it easier to absorb would be a big improvement. Also, the initial setup wasn't very easy, and it took us some time to understand ADP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Payroll and Reliable Performance with ADP"
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

What I really enjoyed about working with ADP over the past four years was how user-friendly the software is. While it doesn’t look exactly like Excel, it is intuitive and easy to navigate. From payroll processing to reporting, everything is straightforward and simple to build.

With over eight years of experience in Human Resources, I’ve found ADP to be exactly what you need to run payroll efficiently. Data pulls are fast, presets are built directly into the system, and reporting is reliable. During my time using ADP, I rarely experienced lag, and when issues did arise, they were typically resolved within 2–4 hours—unlike other systems where fixes can take anywhere from 8 to 72 hours.

When you’re running a business, having a dependable, efficient system with readily available features makes a significant difference, and ADP consistently delivered that reliability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

The only downside I experienced with ADP was that some support agents were outsourced, which at times made communication challenging. Occasionally, it felt difficult to fully convey the complexity of certain issues or to ensure they were clearly understood. That said, I did not encounter many downsides overall, as most issues were straightforward and easy to resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ADP Workforce Now: An In-Depth Review of Its HR and Payroll Capabilities"
What do you like best about ADP Workforce Now?

One thing I particularly like about ADP Workforce Now is how it brings multiple HR functions into a single, well-integrated system. The automation around routine tasks such as reporting, employee data updates, and performance tracking helps reduce manual effort and errors. I also find the reporting tools useful because they provide clear insights that support better decision-making without requiring advanced technical knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ADP Workforce Now?

One area where ADP Workforce Now could improve is in its recruitment evaluation features. While the platform handles core HR and reporting well, more advanced tools for resume screening or candidate grading within the recruitment workflow would be helpful. Adding deeper customization in this area could make the hiring process more streamlined, especially for teams that manage a high volume of applicants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
