Spark Hire helps with the initial interviews for us to decide whether or not to move forward with a face-to-face.

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

Spark Hire is an intuitive platform to setup from the administrator side and for candidates to use. The system provides a substantial time savings for our high volume application roles and gives us an opportunity to create a great candidate experience by being able to follow up with candidates in a timely manner. 

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

I would like to be able to have Spark Hire read to my current applicant tracking system.

**Recommendations to others considering Spark Hire:**

Take a few minutes to think through your most important questions across the roles you hire for to create a bank of Spark Hire questions to easily use as you add jobs. Keep the time commitment to answer questions reasonable 20-25 minutes and get excited about having more time on your calendar than when you were scheduling individual screening calls.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a small team, Spark Hire increases our capacity to screen candidates in a timely fashion, create a great candidate experience and reduces the time between hiring process steps.

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

As an en Executive Recruitment firm, SparkHire has been influential in helping our clients understand our candidates on another level. Not only does it give the candidate an opportunity to speak to experiences that may not be on their resume but it also helps showcase their personality to the client which is imperative as our clients look to hire. I enjoy how you can customize every aspect of the interview you send to a candidate. This also gives our clients opportunities to ask candidates questions before even interviewing them directly. We ask our clients if they have any questions that they would like added into the SparkHire and this, in the long run, helps them make a more holistic decision.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

In full transparency, there is nothing that I truly "dislike" about the platform. There is always room for improvement in certain areas but SparkHire does a fantastic job of updating this system and rolling out additional options for customers to use in order to be more successful. The only feedback I have received from candidates who are completing the SparkHire is in regards to their technical issues. Sometimes candidates get frustrated that e-mail is the only option to get in touch with technical support, especially if they are under a deadline. Now with that being said, technical support replies faster than most companies I have seen and really ensure the the candidate has the best possible user experience.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With SparkHire, we are bridging the gap between a resume (a piece of paper) and an actual person. We are far beyond the times of just shooting over someones resume for review, at least at our firm. We want to be able to provide our clients with the best information we can upfront for them to make the best decision possible. We have seen a lot of benefit when using Spark Hire. It is something that sets us apart from our competition because they are just not implementing the extra step of a one-way video interview. We also benefit from SparkHire but using it as a vetting tool for candidates. If a candidate cannot provide a strong SparkHire then we may need to have them redo it or reconsider them for the position. It helps us in the long run. Lastly, our clients love the additional aspect of SparkHire. They enjoy knowing that they are going to be listening to a person on video and hearing their responses vs. just sitting down with a resume.

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

One of the reasons I chose the platform is due to the transparency in pricing and reputable testimonials. Once I started using the platform, I quickly saw that Spark Hire has a friendly user interface on the front- and back-end. It's incredibly clear how to set up both a synchronous and asynchronous interview and interviewees have commented on the ease-of-use of the platform. I'm also able to easily rate, filter, share, and leave comments on my interviewee's performance.

As an organization, they are committed to their clients. I had two seemingly large issues and within 24hours both were essentially resolved after reaching out to them. My initial issue was tech related --after this was resolved, they swiftly connected me to an account manager that was phenomenal at addressing my other need. I'd summarize by saying both the platform and the staff that help make Spark Hire what it is are efficient and effective!

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

I haven't run into any issues that have made me dislike any portion of the platform. They've recently even changed how their recordings are viewed (synchronous interview) which makes the current speaker pinned on the screen, as opposed to the interviewer and interviewee both taking up equal space on the recording.

**Recommendations to others considering Spark Hire:**

Definitely book a demo, this will highlight how easy the platform is --beyond that, it will showcase just how helpful and knowledgeable their staff is!

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to interview people using Spark Hire's asynchronous option is great because I've been able to see how reliable the platform is. Additionally, sending out live interview requests could not be any simpler. Interviewees receive their requests without delay and are able to register and hop on an interview with me in about two minutes!

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

100% user friendly program, that brings the interview process to the modern age!
When you're trying to conduct interviews for several positions, across several departments and multiple hiring managers, Spark Hire allows you to share feedback on candidates, but you can share the interviews themselves, without playing telephone and inserting personal bias with that feedback. I may not be a subject matter expert and my interpretation of a response may not be an accurate representation of their answers, so Spark Hire removes the need for interpretation.
If you have ten questions for candidates to answer, but only two of them are crucial for the right candidate, then you can save time and quickly screen candidates based on those answers, then go back and review their full interviews more thoroughly if the make it through that first round.  Its an incredible tool to improve time management.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

I love Spark Hire, but it's disappointing when users feel uncomfortable in front of a camera. Due to the pandemic, we've not been active and I've not been as on top of recent updates, but previously I would have like to shuffle and reuse individual questions. I think that area of the portals was the clunkiest and most difficult to keep clean, as I kept adding, updating and ultimately duplicating several questions and such between interviews and positions. Overall, I know they had been great implementing suggested feedback, so this may already have been updated and I've not had the opportunity to utilize it yet.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product puts everyone on an even playing field. Everyone is asked the same questions, in the same format. It really allows you to be consistent with all the candidates. 
It's simple enough for all generations to use, regardless of technical proficiency, but really allows you to gauge if an employee is willing to try new technology and to what level they will be comfortable with it. If they're not willing to think outside the box or go outside their comfort zone during the interview, why would they be innovative or progressive in their work?
In addition to being a time saver for reviewing candidates, it's perfect for busy professionals. With the recorded interviews, they can record their responses from anywhere, whenever they want! This has been great when you have candidates who are still working, or have personal commitments, they can respond when THEY have time and not have to coordinate schedules with anyone else.

I don't want to label it 'dislike' but something they are constantly working to improve: Comeet's product team is a bit slow in reinforcing new changes/features and their release.

I have dealt with and been the administroator for some of the prominent ATS systems--very much known in recruiting market, but found Comeet better, user friendly and cost effective.

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

The platform itself helps us meet two really important goals. As a (very) small team getting a new nonprofit off the ground, it is a massive time-saver. Previously, we used 30 minute phone screen interviews (+ time for scheduling & follow up) following a resume/cover letter/application first round. SparkHire's platform accomplishes the same (or better) goal in less than 1/3 of the time (10 min of video for 5 questions and 5 min or so to set up & track). 

Second, candidates experience us as a mature, stable, responsive organization because of the SparkHire platform. It's sleek, works really well, and we've pre-loaded all our questions & communications into it, along with personalized videos so it's a great experience for folks. 

It's also affordable and will grow with us.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

While SparkHire allows for ratings within the system, we had to create a middle-man Google Sheet because it doesn't automatically integrate with our BambooHR ATS. In an ideal world, the ratings would flow seamlessly to another tracking system but our workaround works.

Great tool, affordable and a huge resource saver (time & money), phenomenal support team.

Efficient, effective hiring process to bring key talent onto a very small but growing team, while also building a personal, respectful, caring relationship from our first interaction to their first day on the job.

The onboarding experience is easy. You are helped all along the way by Spark Hire's onboarding specialist. They also offer product lunch & learn sessions to enhance your knowledge and skill after you launch.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

For our company, the product is not as helpful to conduct one-way interviews for more senior positions that require more in-depth questioning. We prefer to do those on the phone.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are better able to conduct pre-screen interviews more efficiently, especially for our multi-incumbent positions. As well, when our recruitment team is busy, it alleviates a lot of time normally spent on the phone.

The really great thing about Spark HIre is the way you can set your own questions and time limits.  Each answer can also be commented on as well, which is really great for understanding the audience's response to the candidate.

I would recommend Spark Hire.  It is easy and reliable to use for both internal staff and external candidates.

We recruit candidates globally for teaching positions in the UK, so Spark Hire allows us to collect interviews from all candidates and share them with our clients very quickly. As the interviews are self-directed it saves us a lot of time and we are notified as soon as someone completes an interview.

I enjoy using the one-way video interview tool as an opportunity for a candidate to make an introductory presentation after my initial screen, but before their first formal interview.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

Some candidates, shockingly, are still uncomfortable with seeing themselves on video.  Perhaps giving them an option to not see themselves at all would help. (This may already exist.)

Without costly travel expenses, we are learning how a candidate presents in person.  We've been able to expedite more competitive candidates and decline those that aren't more quickly

Spark Hire saves time for Hiring Managers, Recruiters, and the organization overall. It has proven to have a high ROI for all hiring aspects. It is an excellent experience for the user and the team.

There isn't much to dislike, but the one thing I can think of that may need improvement is creating more user-friendly filters and built-in tasks.

We are saving hiring managers from bringing in unqualified candidates. We have realized that a lot of our roles rely heavily on skillset that can't be easily read on phone screen notes, so Spark Hire has allowed us to solve that issue.

SparkHire is a huge satisfier for our clients; they can review candidates anytime throughout the day.

Scheduling time with executives and leadership can be difficult at times; with utilizing the pre-recorded SparkHire videos, leaders can access interviews at any time.

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

Comeet is an excellent tool to monitor and control the candidate selection process for a vacancy. What I like the most is the possibility of having a 360 view of the candidate and executing actions from the same platform. It is very useful to be able to see the resume, the feedback from the interviewers, the applicant's progress and the final result with the history that is saved. Another aspect that I find very valuable about comeet is that you can generate insights of the processes, have a summary, see the number of people you hired in the last week and see the status of a vacancy. It is also very useful to know how the status of referrals is coming, and what positions are open under your management area. In my case I have several searches open and comeet allows me to have them all in order.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

At the moment I have no suggestions to make to the tool. It seems to me that it is very comfortable and complete. Maybe you would think about making the platform a little more colorful to improve the experience.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With comeet, communication problems that could arise between the areas involved in the candidate selection process were solved, since we all see the updates in real time and we are all on the same page. Another area for improvement that we were able to solve with the use of comeet, is that we can carry out the selection processes more quickly and comply with the hiring plan. Within comeet there are all the actions to take, such as sending communications, evaluating the candidate, scheduling interviews, all in one place and greatly streamlines the process.

We utilize Spark Hire with our initial screening of candidates, interviews as well as onboarding aspects after hire.  It is easy to use and the support team is helpful with technical issues.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

It would be helpful for us to have group discussions/interviews with multiple candidates.

The customer support and technical support is helpful for not just us but our candidates as well. When we have a need, it is taken into consideration and in most cases Spark Hire has been able to accommodate most of our needs. Lastly, it is reasonably priced!

It was very easy to navigate their website upon enquiry with clear pricing plans and expectations. 

The pre-recorded video interview software is user friendly and allows hiring managers to quickly process candidates interviews, without the need for software training. It speeds up the process whereby hiring managers can quickly screen candidates in or out of the next process stage. 

Since using the software, candidates have said how much they have enjoyed this part of the process. This gives us great satisfaction that it is user friendly for candidates also.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

The only downside that I can think of is that not all candidates would warm to a pre-recorded interview. This can be navigated by giving candidates the choice of completing the video in their own time or setting up a call.

Hiring globally comes with time zone differences, the software has resolved this problem.

We liked that we could customize the questions and create Intro and Concluding videos to personalize the experience for candidates.

It's relatively easy to teach the program to someone/yourself without a formal training. The concept of video cover letters is so helpful when reviewing applications. Having multiple people access the same submissions also helps as recruiters are working through the video cover letters (i.e. tag teaming the work load).

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

It would be nice if the system was full integrated with our current ATS so I don't have to have two open to review the complete application. There was a lot of time spent bouncing between the two. It would also be nice if there was an 'overall rating' section where I could rate all the videos in one area. Sometimes I would rate/make comments after video 2 or after video 3 and would lose track where I entered in those comments.

We've been using Spark Hire for almost 5 years at this point, and its been an invaluable service to help us with our internship recruitment cycle. It allowed us to scale our recruitment practices easily as our internship program grew and our applicant pool grew!

I also love how reasonable the prices are, and the flexibility of building the plan and the timing that works best for us/what we're looking for at any given moment.

I would love the ability to save or download the completed videos - I know it's a feature on a higher payment tier, though, so some day we should be able to scale up to that!

No problems that I can think of offhand! Any issues/problems we encounter, our rep or a member of the tech team has always been able to jump in and help us with very quickly.

In terms of benefits, it's allowed us to reasonably scale practices by using the one way interviews to "interview" way more candidates than we would traditionally  be able to. It also helps standardize this first step in the interview process - every candidate is being asked the same questions. Additionally, the degree of customization is insanely helpful for us!

Spark Hire is easy to use. There are lots of ways you can customize it depending on your hiring process. The account managers stay in touch regularly. It's definitely a time saver if you are working across different time zones and are not able to call everyone for the phone screening process.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

Occasionally you won't get sound for one question from a candidate's interview. That could be the candidate's internet, or it could be the software. It doesn't feel very professional asking them to complete it again. 

I also find that a lot of people don't like video interviewing, so we do lose some people due to this. We use it mainly for roles were people need to demonstrate confidence in this type on environment - eg. a Customer Success role where they do a lot of demos via video call.

We use it in place of a phone screen for some roles. It's been helpful showing us how people present and it saves time for us in that screening process.

The staff with Spark Hire have been phenominal and always willing to help with any questions you have. Not only do they answer all questions, they also get back to you very quickly. So far, there has not been anything I found I dislike yet. The only thing that can be a pain is not allowing others to see comments. I have also been submitting comments and they seem to disappear from time to time. Other than that, my experience has been very positive.

I would 100% recommend Spark Hire as a platform to use. The staff makes it very to get setup and get the process implemented. We as a company have nothing but great things to say about Spark Hire. Words on paper for a resume or a recruiter's review of a candidate can be done very well, but just don't match up with the individual's face in front of you giving an animated version of a story or reply.  It gets my clients more quickly to that point of the gut feel on the prospective employee.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

The only thing I "dislike" is my own ability to find the time to set myself up for success with the tool.  It's actually very easy, but using Spark Hire does require you to commit to the bit of time and dedication to trying something new.  It pays off quickly though.

When you sign up and get introduced and launched with the product, get used to the tool and features and create your first video questions and interviews immediately.  Then, formalize your own process to you literally don't forget to use it.  Biggest challenge for me was altering my own process.  Beyond that, it's super easy to use.

Especially with a strong individual that may lack some "technical checkboxes", it solves the problem of me trying to sell, with my spoken or written words, why my client needs to "take the chance" and talk to this individual.  They can see and hear the candidate online and realize, "Oh, I like this person's vibe, they'd fit in here for sure, and let's talk about training them up."

The one-way video interviews were an absolute gamechanger for our company. The one-way video interviews allow the candidate's profile to get off of the resume and come to life. The calendar invites have been a timesaver for us as well. It has almost completely eliminated the back and forth emails and calls trying to schedule a recruiter screening and manager interview. 

The thing that I like best though is the customer service. My rep is proactive and has consistently added value and insight quarter after quarter. I am looking forward to the Panel Interview option being added in the future.

It would be great to have an integration option with our ATS, Workday. It would also be beneficial to have the ability to send invites and reminders via text.

The way that interviews are assigned to hiring managers is  a bit clunky and could use improvement. This is not a reason to avoid the platform as is a minor inconvenience.

If you are looking for an affordable and efficient solution to help you reduce time to fill, improve quality of hire, and create a great candidate experience, then you can be assured that Spark Hire will help you to accomplish all three. We wanted to create a streamlined selection process that was considerate of our hiring managers time and our candidate time. Traditional phone interviews can be a logistical challenge and create a bottleneck in the process. Additionally, we wanted to reduce our time to fill and increase our quality of hire. Spark Hire has successfully helped us accomplish all of these objectives all while providing an easy to use platform that is incredibly affordable.

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

One of my favorite features of Comeet is the ability to customize workflows for each position. Our workflow looks different for entry-level positions than for some of our more skilled positions. Being able to make the process match the position has been a HUGE benefit to our team. I also love how easy it is to collaborate with all the people involved in the search - it's very easy to see where a candidate is in a process and whose responsible for that next step. It also notifies us if a candidate is a duplicate (aka applied previously) which is helpful. The templates for email communications are a huge time saver. Their customer service is very responsive if you ever have a challenge or issue or question. The resumes for candidates are automatically funneled into the correct workflow when the candidate applies via your website or a job board.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

Sometimes we have glitches with the email templates adding extra spaces. 

We are a recruiting agency and this platform was built for internal recruiters. I wish it had a CRM built into it - but honestly, this platform had everything we needed on the candidate side and these were the features that were most important to us.

Overall - we are very happy with the platform!

**Recommendations to others considering Spark Hire:**

Built for internal recruiters, but can be used for agencies with some creativity. The customizable workflow is one of my favorite features!

We needed a way to collaborate as a team and quickly and efficiently get candidates through the interview process - Comeet has been a wonderful resource for us. We have saved a lot of time and been able to automate steps in the recruitment process that were previously done manually.

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

Sparkhire is a solid platform that allows me to "interview" exponentially more candidates for initial interviews, and find the best people as quickly as possible. As a single person Recruiting / HR department, this is especially important for my company's continued growth.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

There is really no downside to using Sparkhire.  My only recommendation for improvement would be around being able to organize interview files more efficiently. I would like to see more flexibility in how I could organize the interview with folders, etc.

**What problems is Spark Hire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business problem of time versus number of applicants.  A lot of applicants to sift through that takes time.  With Sparkhire I've created a very streamlines process for initial interviews and recommendations to hiring managers that allow us to basically only "face to face" interview candidates we are likely to make offers to.

**What do you like best about Spark Hire?**

Spark Hire has been a great asset to eAssist Dental Billing Solutions. It is very user friendly and easy to navigate. It is simple to create new videos of questions. All icons have a label that appears, which makes is easy to see what next step you need. eAssist uses this platform as the final interview prior to applicants moving forward in the hiring process-  with the ease of sending an Advanced Link to the Hiring Panel we have, they seamlessly receive the link to click and view the interview themselves on their timeline. It allows for us to have MANY interviews completed within a short time frame - which helps match the growth of the company.

**What do you dislike about Spark Hire?**

My only complaint is not being able to download multiple interviews at a time, or than that I have none!

It's a great tool to implement when you have the applicant load, but not the man power to complete those interviews!

We are solving the problem of completing massive amounts  of interviews without using the "man power" of other people taking their time to interview the applicants.  With 100s of applicants and a team of 6 - to have the amount of day time hours to complete the interviews would not be possible without Spark Hire.

Everything about spark hire was easy to use from a recruiting stand point. I was able to watch individuals video responses all in one place which streamlined the process and made it easier to rank and find the best candidate for the position!

I thought the user interface wasn't necessarily the most appealing thing. It was very basic but got the job done. I also don't remember if this was an option, but captions would be amazing.

Spark Hire makes it easy for candidates to record a video interview while also makes it easy on us to rate and review a mass number of candidates. For both parties it streamlines and speeds up the interview process because we do not have to coordinate schedules and be on a live conference for the first initial interview.

I think Spark Hire should continue improving the interviewing platform instead of pushing appointment scheduling and zoom-type features; they could offer other products like recording intro/outro videos for clients or selling interview question sets.

We were able to increase the productivity of our recruiting team, replacing traditional phone screens with one-way video interviews. It also helped standardized the process as each candidate was asked the same set of questions. It replaced hand-written intro emails to hiring managers; now they can see what we see.
