What do you like best about Hailey HR?

The system is simple and mostly intuitive to use. Employees have asked very few questions, which makes the administrator’s job easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hailey HR?

For a relatively small company (around 50 employees), the system actually offers too many features, which can sometimes be confusing. The most essential functionalities are indeed intuitive to use, but there are sections that feel so complex that even trying them out feels exhausting. One example of this is workflows — in theory, they could make everyday work easier, but despite onboarding sessions, getting started with them is quite laborious.

The way employees are divided into teams is unintuitive, and I don’t understand the logic behind the setup where, by default, all company employees are not considered one main team unless a separate “whole company” team is manually created.

The time/calendar section should be continuous (rolling), rather than split into separate tabs for each month. For example, when you want to review absences on a weekly level, it becomes cumbersome if you have to switch between two different months. Editing absences after they’ve been approved is also unnecessarily difficult. For instance, vacation plans can still change after approval, and at least administrators should be able to modify absences easily.

The vacation policies and compliance with the Finnish Annual Holidays Act still haven’t been implemented in a simple or seamless way

When viewing absences via the calendar, it would also be nice to see, for example, the total number of vacation days included in a period by opening the first day of the absence. In general, editing information in Hailey feels overly complicated.

One more thing worth mentioning is the support section and the lack of instructions in Finnish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hailey HR?

Hailey is an HR system that covers all basic areas when it comes to HR master data an employee life cycle management. The UI is excellent and innovative, packed with functionality but still with an easy to use layout. It is very obvious that the people that have created Hailey really understand HR, that HR is not all about single functions but about process. Exemples on this is a complete process for salary revisions, but also the whole module of work flows. It is around the work flows that Hailey really excels, with the vast fleixibility for a user to create work flows e.g. for onboarding and offboarding with tasks sent out to various people in the organization. Another thing that Hailey excels at is the event driven architecture that allows a user to look at all KPIs and data at snapshots for a certain date back in time. On top of this, Hailey is very easy to implement, and integrate with other system, and the service from the Hailey staff, including support, is exellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hailey HR?

The system is user-friendly, offering many functions in one system at a good price. Easy for managers to use, and all the managers at my job really appreciate the system as it has facilitated their daily tasks, including contract writing, documentation, and employee follow-up. Quick Customer Success that always solves the problem. We have been involved from an early stage, and my experience is that we have been able to influence by them listening to us and other customers regarding what is important to us. There is a big difference now in the system compared to when we joined at the beginning of 2022. It is a simple system for infrequent users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hailey HR?

Since the system is under constant development, it sometimes happens when a new sprint has been rolled out that it affects our templates we have built by causing them to stop working. This usually becomes apparent when we try to send out a contract and it doesn't work. Then we have to start troubleshooting and sometimes contact customer success to solve the problem. No chat or realtime support. Support is available via email and fast, but I would appreciate a direct chat with a simple way of sharing screen och print screens.

That there is no way of distinguishing between employees who are active or on a longer leave. Ex; a person who is on a long leave of absence or a year of parental leave are still listed as "Active". Makes budgeting and planning difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hailey HR?

We have been involved early in Hailey's journey as an HR system and are super satisfied; the system has truly been a great tool for streamlining and digitizing our HR work. It is user-friendly both for admin but also for managers and employees and has been easy to set up so it fits our group. The digital flow for employment with signing and workflows for, among other things, onboarding has facilitated our processes despite being spread across the country and allows us to easily track where we are in the stage.

The whole setup with conversation templates directly in the system means we avoid handling paper or folders on the computer that risk being lost. The luxury of being able to conduct employee surveys directly in the system also means we don't have to bring in an external system as we can easily customize our survey templates to fit both annually and monthly.

The support is extremely responsive to our requests and improvements we have suggested. And when we have needed support or had other questions, it has been very quick to get help, big gold star to our contact person! Our managers are very satisfied with the system as a work tool and it has facilitated many aspects of their daily work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hailey HR?

I like everything about Hailey HR and use the system daily. The system helps us to ensure the quality of our various personnel processes, and where we can easily and smoothly administer and document information about our employees.

The fact that we can also create our own workflows that help us ensure that we don't miss anything in handling, for example, a recruitment process or what needs to be done when an employee leaves, we think is fantastic.

Hailey HR also gives us the ability to create documents and contracts for digital signing, which we send out via the system to our employees – very efficient and simple.

The fact that we can also manage our vacation planning, leave applications, and salary reviews in the system is something our managers appreciate greatly.

I can simply say that Hailey HR has streamlined, digitized, and ensured the quality of our personnel process, and add to that the support from them is superb both during the implementation and even after when we have gotten started. We have been using Hailey for 1.5 years, and when we initially adopted the system, it was relatively new to the market. Their ongoing commitment to continuous improvement is a key factor that influenced our decision to select Hailey as our HR system. As a result of being relatively "young" as a HR system, we have been experienced occasional software bugs. However, the customer success team at Hailey is unparalleled in terms of their responsiveness and dedication to service.
